< Matthew 24 >

1 As Jesus left the temple and was walking away, His disciples came up to Him to point out its buildings.
ⲁ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲈⲢⲪⲈⲒ ⲚⲀϤⲘⲞϢⲒ ⲠⲈ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲒ ϨⲀⲢⲞϤ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲈϤⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ ⲈⲨⲦⲀⲘⲞ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲈⲚⲒⲔⲰⲦ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲈⲢⲪⲈⲒ.
2 “Do you see all these things?” He replied. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”
ⲃ̅ⲚⲐⲞϤ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲚⲀⲒ ⲦⲎⲢⲞⲨ ⲀⲘⲎⲚ ϮϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ ϪⲈ ⲚⲚⲞⲨⲬⲀ ⲞⲨⲰⲚⲒ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲰⲚⲒ ⲘⲠⲀⲒⲘⲀ ⲚⲤⲈⲚⲀⲂⲞⲖϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲀⲚ.
3 While Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?” (aiōn g165)
ⲅ̅ⲈϤϨⲈⲘⲤⲒ ⲆⲈ ϨⲒϪⲈⲚ ⲠⲒⲦⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒϪⲰⲒⲦ ⲀⲨⲒ ϨⲀⲢⲞϤ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲈϤⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ ⲤⲀⲠⲤⲀ ⲘⲘⲀⲨⲀⲦⲞⲨ ⲈⲨϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲀϪⲞⲤ ⲚⲀⲚ ϪⲈ ⲈⲢⲈ ⲚⲀⲒ ϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲚⲐⲚⲀⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϢ ⲠⲈ ⲠⲒⲘⲎⲒⲚⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲈⲔϪⲒⲚⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲦϦⲀⲎ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲀⲒⲈⲚⲈϨ. (aiōn g165)
4 Jesus answered, “See to it that no one deceives you.
ⲇ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲀⲚⲀⲨ ⲘⲠⲈⲢⲬⲀⲤ ⲚⲦⲈⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲤⲈⲢⲈⲘ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ.
5 For many will come in My name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.
ⲉ̅ⲈⲢⲈ ⲞⲨⲘⲎϢ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲒϦⲈⲚ ⲠⲀⲢⲀⲚ ⲈⲨϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲠⲈ ⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲨⲈⲤⲈⲢⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲘⲎϢ.
6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. These things must happen, but the end is still to come.
ⲋ̅ⲈⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ⲆⲈ ⲈϨⲀⲚⲂⲰⲦⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚⲤⲘⲎ ⲘⲂⲰⲦⲤ ⲀⲚⲀⲨ ⲘⲠⲈⲢϢⲐⲞⲢⲦⲈⲢ ϨⲰϮ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲠⲈ ⲚⲦⲞⲨϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲘⲠⲀⲦⲈ ⲦϦⲀⲎ ϢⲰⲠⲒ.
7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
ⲍ̅ⲈⲢⲈ ⲞⲨⲈⲐⲚⲞⲤ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲦⲰⲚϤ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲈⲐⲚⲞⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲨⲈϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲚϪⲈϨⲀⲚⲘⲞⲚⲘⲈⲚ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚϨⲔⲞ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚⲘⲞⲨ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲘⲀ.
8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
ⲏ̅ⲚⲀⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲦⲎⲢⲞⲨ ϨⲎ ⲚⲚⲒⲚⲀⲔϨⲒ ⲚⲈ.
9 Then they will deliver you over to be persecuted and killed, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name.
ⲑ̅ⲦⲞⲦⲈ ⲈⲨⲈϮ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ⲈϦⲢⲎⲒ ⲈⲠϨⲞϪϨⲈϪ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲨⲈϦⲈⲦⲈⲂ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚⲈϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈⲨⲘⲞⲤϮ ⲘⲘⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲒⲈⲐⲚⲞⲤ ⲦⲎⲢⲞⲨ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲠⲀⲢⲀⲚ.
10 At that time many will fall away and will betray and hate one another,
ⲓ̅ⲦⲞⲦⲈ ⲈⲢⲈ ⲞⲨⲘⲎϢ ⲬⲀ ⲦⲞⲦⲞⲨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲨⲈϮ ⲚⲚⲞⲨⲈⲢⲎⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲨⲈⲘⲈⲤⲦⲈ ⲚⲞⲨⲈⲢⲎⲞⲨ.
11 and many false prophets will arise and mislead many.
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲞⲨⲘⲎϢ ⲘⲠⲢⲞⲪⲎⲦⲎⲤ ⲚⲚⲞⲨϪ ⲈⲨⲈⲦⲰⲞⲨⲚⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲨⲈⲤⲈⲢⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲘⲎϢ.
12 Because of the multiplication of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold.
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲠⲀϢⲀⲒ ⲚⲦⲈϮⲀⲚⲞⲘⲒⲀ ⲦⲀⲄⲀⲠⲎ ⲚⲞⲨⲘⲎϢ ⲈⲤⲈϨⲢⲞϢ.
13 But the one who perseveres to the end will be saved.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲪⲎ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲐⲚⲀⲀⲘⲞⲚⲒ ⲚⲦⲞⲦϤ ϢⲀ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲠⲈⲐⲚⲀⲚⲞϨⲈⲘ.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲨⲈϨⲒⲰⲒϢ ⲘⲠⲀⲒⲈⲨⲀⲄⲄⲈⲖⲒⲞⲚ ⲚⲦⲈϮⲘⲈⲦⲞⲨⲢⲞ ϦⲈⲚϮⲞⲒⲔⲞⲨⲘⲈⲚⲎ ⲦⲎⲢⲤ ⲈⲨⲘⲈⲦⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ ⲚⲚⲒⲈⲐⲚⲞⲤ ⲦⲎⲢⲞⲨ ⲦⲞⲦⲈ ⲈⲤⲈⲒ ⲚϪⲈϮϦⲀⲎ.
15 So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination of desolation,’ described by the prophet Daniel (let the reader understand),
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲈϢⲰⲠ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲠⲒⲤⲰϤ ⲚⲦⲈⲠϢⲀϤⲈ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲀϤϪⲞϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲈⲚ ⲆⲀⲚⲒⲎⲖ ⲠⲒⲠⲢⲞⲪⲎⲦⲎⲤ ⲈϤⲞϨⲒ ⲈⲢⲀⲦϤ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲘⲀ ⲈⲐⲞⲨⲀⲂ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲰϢ ⲘⲀⲢⲈϤⲔⲀϮ.
16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲦⲞⲦⲈ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲬⲎ ϦⲈⲚϮⲒⲞⲨⲆⲈⲀ ⲘⲀⲢⲞⲨⲪⲰⲦ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲚⲒⲦⲰⲞⲨ.
17 Let no one on the housetop come down to retrieve anything from his house.
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲬⲎ ϨⲒϪⲈⲚ ⲠϪⲈⲚⲈⲪⲰⲢ ⲘⲠⲈⲚⲐⲢⲈϤⲒ ⲈⲠⲈⲤⲎⲦ ⲈⲈⲖ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦϦⲈⲚ ⲠⲈϤⲎⲒ.
18 And let no one in the field return for his cloak.
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲬⲎ ϦⲈⲚⲦⲔⲞⲒ ⲘⲠⲈⲚⲐⲢⲈϤⲔⲞⲦϤ ⲈⲪⲀϨⲞⲨ ⲈⲈⲖ ⲠⲈϤϨⲂⲞⲤ.
19 How miserable those days will be for pregnant and nursing mothers!
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲞⲨⲞⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲈⲘⲂⲞⲔⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦϮϬⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲒⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ ⲈⲦⲈⲘⲘⲀⲨ.
20 Pray that your flight will not occur in the winter or on the Sabbath.
ⲕ̅ⲦⲰⲂϨ ⲆⲈ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈϢⲦⲈⲘ ⲠⲈⲦⲈⲚⲪⲰⲦ ϢⲰⲠⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲦⲪⲢⲰ ⲞⲨⲆⲈ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲤⲀⲂⲂⲀⲦⲞⲚ.
21 For at that time there will be great tribulation, unmatched from the beginning of the world until now, and never to be seen again.
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ⲈⲢⲈ ⲞⲨⲚⲒϢϮ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚϨⲞϪϨⲈϪ ϢⲰⲠⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲤⲎⲞⲨ ⲈⲦⲈⲘⲘⲀⲨ ⲘⲠⲈ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲘⲠⲈϤⲢⲎϮ ⲒⲤϪⲈⲚ ϨⲎ ⲘⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ ϢⲀ ϮⲚⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲆⲈ ⲚⲚⲈ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲞⲚ.
22 If those days had not been cut short, nobody would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, those days will be cut short.
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲂⲎⲖ ϪⲈ ⲀⲚⲒⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ ⲈⲦⲈⲘⲘⲀⲨ ⲈⲢⲔⲞⲨϪⲒ ⲠⲈ ⲚⲚⲀⲨⲚⲀⲚⲞϨⲈⲘ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲚϪⲈⲤⲀⲢⲜ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲚⲒⲤⲰⲦⲠ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲢⲈ ⲚⲒⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ ⲈⲦⲈⲘⲘⲀⲨ ⲈⲢⲔⲞⲨϪⲒ.
23 At that time, if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There He is!’ do not believe it.
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ⲦⲞⲦⲈ ⲀⲢⲈϢⲀⲚ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ϪⲞⲤ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ ϪⲈ ⲒⲤ ⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ϤⲦⲀⲒ ⲒⲈ ϤⲦⲎ ⲘⲠⲈⲢⲦⲈⲚϨⲞⲨⲦⲞⲨ.
24 For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders that would deceive even the elect, if that were possible.
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲈⲨⲈⲦⲰⲞⲨⲚⲞⲨ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚϪⲈϨⲀⲚⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲚⲚⲞⲨϪ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚⲠⲢⲞⲪⲎⲦⲎⲤ ⲚⲚⲞⲨϪ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲨⲈϮ ⲚϨⲀⲚⲚⲒϢϮ ⲘⲘⲎⲒⲚⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚϢⲪⲎⲢⲒ ϨⲰⲤⲦⲈ ⲈⲚⲈ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ϢϪⲞⲘ ⲚⲤⲈⲤⲰⲢⲈⲘ ⲚⲚⲀⲔⲈⲤⲰⲦⲠ.
25 See, I have told you in advance.
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ⲒⲤ ϨⲎⲠⲠⲈ ⲀⲒⲈⲢϢⲞⲢⲠ ⲚϪⲞⲤ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ.
26 So if they tell you, ‘There He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it.
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ⲈϢⲰⲠ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲀⲨϢⲀⲚϪⲞⲤ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ ϪⲈ ϨⲎⲠⲠⲈ ⲈϤϨⲒ ⲠϢⲀϤⲈ ⲘⲠⲈⲢⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲎⲠⲠⲈ ⲈϤϦⲈⲚ ⲚⲒⲦⲀⲘⲒⲞⲚ ⲘⲠⲈⲢⲦⲈⲚϨⲞⲨⲦⲞⲨ.
27 For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲘⲠⲒⲤⲈⲦⲈⲂⲢⲎϪ ⲈϢⲀϤⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲤⲀⲠⲈⲒⲈⲂⲦ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲞⲨⲞⲚϨϤ ⲤⲀⲠⲈⲘⲈⲚⲦ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲠⲈ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲘⲠϪⲒⲚⲒ ⲘⲠϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲘⲪⲢⲰⲘⲒ.
28 Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.
ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ⲠⲒⲘⲀ ⲈⲦⲈ ϮϢⲞⲖϨⲤ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ϢⲀⲨⲐⲰⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲘⲀⲨ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲒⲀϦⲰⲘ.
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days: ‘The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.’
ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ⲤⲀⲦⲞⲦϤ ⲆⲈ ⲘⲈⲚⲈⲚⲤⲀ ⲠⲒϨⲞϪϨⲈϪ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ ⲈⲦⲈⲘⲘⲀⲨ ⲪⲢⲎ ⲈϤⲈⲈⲢⲬⲀⲔⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲒⲒⲞϨ ⲚⲚⲈϤϮ ⲘⲠⲈϤⲞⲨⲰⲒⲚⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲒⲤⲒⲞⲨ ⲈⲨⲈϨⲈⲒ ⲈⲠⲈⲤⲎⲦ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲦⲪⲈ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲒϪⲞⲘ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒⲪⲎⲞⲨⲒ ⲈⲨⲈⲔⲒⲘ.
30 At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.
ⲗ̅ⲦⲞⲦⲈ ⲈϤⲈⲞⲨⲰⲚϨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲒⲘⲎⲒⲚⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲠϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲘⲪⲢⲰⲘⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲦⲪⲈ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲦⲞⲦⲈ ⲈⲨⲈⲚⲈϨⲠⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲒⲪⲨⲖⲎ ⲦⲎⲢⲞⲨ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲔⲀϨⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲨⲈⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲠϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲘⲪⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲈϤⲚⲎ ⲞⲨ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲚⲒϬⲎⲠⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲪⲈ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨϪⲞⲘ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲚⲒϢϮ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ.
31 And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈϤⲈⲦⲀⲞⲨⲞ ⲚⲚⲈϤⲀⲄⲄⲈⲖⲞⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲚⲒϢϮ ⲚⲤⲀⲖⲠⲒⲄⲄⲞⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲨⲈⲐⲰⲞⲨϮ ⲚⲚⲈϤⲤⲰⲦⲠ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒϤⲦⲞⲨ ⲐⲎⲞⲨ ⲒⲤϪⲈⲚ ⲀⲨⲢⲎϪⲞⲨ ⲚⲚⲒⲪⲎⲞⲨⲒ ϢⲀ ⲀⲨⲢⲎϪⲞⲨ.
32 Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its branches become tender and sprout leaves, you know that summer is near.
ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚϮⲂⲰ ⲚⲔⲈⲚⲦⲈ ⲀⲢⲒⲈⲘⲒ ⲈϮⲠⲀⲢⲀⲂⲞⲖⲎ ⲈϢⲰⲠ ϨⲎⲆⲎ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲈⲤϪⲀⲖ ϬⲚⲞⲚ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲈⲤϪⲰⲂⲒ ϮⲞⲨⲰ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϢⲀⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚⲈⲘⲒ ϪⲈ ϤϦⲈⲚⲦ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲒϢⲰⲘ.
33 So also, when you see all these things, you will know that He is near, right at the door.
ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ⲚⲐⲰⲦⲈⲚ ϨⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲈϢⲰⲠ ⲀⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚϢⲀⲚⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲚⲀⲒ ⲦⲎⲢⲞⲨ ⲀⲢⲒⲈⲘⲒ ϪⲈ ⲤϦⲈⲚⲦ ϨⲒⲢⲈⲚ ⲚⲒⲢⲰⲞⲨ.
34 Truly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have happened.
ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ⲀⲘⲎⲚ ϮϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ ϪⲈ ⲚⲚⲈ ⲦⲀⲒⲄⲈⲚⲈⲀ ⲤⲒⲚⲒ ϢⲀⲦⲈ ⲚⲀⲒ ⲦⲎⲢⲞⲨ ϢⲰⲠⲒ.
35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.
ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ⲦⲪⲈ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲒⲔⲀϨⲒ ⲚⲀⲤⲒⲚⲒ ⲚⲀⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲚⲞⲨⲤⲒⲚⲒ.
36 No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲠⲒⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ ⲈⲦⲈⲘⲘⲀⲨ ⲚⲈⲘ ϮⲞⲨⲚⲞⲨ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ϨⲖⲒ ⲈⲘⲒ ⲈⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲆⲈ ⲚⲒⲀⲄⲄⲈⲖⲞⲤ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒⲪⲎⲞⲨⲒ ⲈⲂⲎⲖ ⲈⲪⲒⲰⲦ ⲘⲘⲀⲨⲀⲦϤ.
37 As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man.
ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚⲚⲒⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲰⲈ ⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ⲠⲈⲐⲚⲀϢⲰⲠⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲦⲠⲀⲢⲞⲨⲤⲒⲀ ⲘⲠϢⲎ ⲢⲒ ⲘⲪⲢⲰⲘⲒ.
38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark.
ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲈⲚⲀⲨϢⲞⲠ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲒⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ ⲈⲦϦⲀϪⲰϤ ⲘⲠⲒⲔⲀⲦⲀⲔⲖⲨⲤⲘⲞⲤ ⲈⲨⲞⲨⲰⲘ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲨⲤⲰ ⲈⲨϬⲒⲤϨⲒⲘⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲨϬⲒϨⲀⲒ ϢⲀ ⲠⲒⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ ⲈⲦⲀ ⲚⲰⲈ ϢⲈ ⲚⲀϤ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲈϮⲔⲒⲂⲰⲦⲞⲤ ⲘⲘⲞϤ
39 And they were oblivious, until the flood came and swept them all away. So will it be at the coming of the Son of Man.
ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲘⲠⲞⲨⲈⲘⲒ ϢⲀⲦⲈϤⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲒⲔⲀⲦⲀⲔⲖⲨⲤⲘⲞⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲈⲖ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ⲠⲈⲐⲚⲀϢⲰⲠⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲠϪⲒⲚⲒ ⲘⲠϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲘⲪⲢⲰⲘⲒ.
40 Two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left.
ⲙ̅ⲦⲞⲦⲈ ⲂⲈⲨⲬⲎ ϦⲈⲚⲦⲔⲞⲒ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲈⲨⲈⲞⲖϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲈⲨⲈⲬⲀϤ.
41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.
ⲙ̅ⲁ̅ⲤⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲨⲚⲞⲨⲦ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲈⲨⲚⲒ ⲞⲨⲒ ⲈⲨⲈⲞⲖⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲞⲨⲒ ⲈⲨⲈⲬⲀⲤ.
42 Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day on which your Lord will come.
ⲙ̅ⲃ̅ⲢⲰⲒⲤ ⲞⲨⲚ ϪⲈ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲤⲰⲞⲨⲚ ⲀⲚ ϪⲈ ⲈⲢⲈ ⲠⲈⲦⲈⲚϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲚⲎⲞⲨ ϦⲈⲚⲀϢ ⲚⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ.
43 But understand this: If the homeowner had known in which watch of the night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into.
ⲙ̅ⲅ̅ⲪⲀⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲀⲢⲒⲈⲘⲒ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ϪⲈ ⲈⲚⲀⲢⲈ ⲠⲒⲚⲈⲂⲎⲒ ⲈⲘⲒ ϪⲈ ⲀⲢⲈ ⲠⲤⲞⲚⲒ ⲚⲎⲞⲨ ⲚⲀϤ ϦⲈⲚⲀϢ ⲚⲞⲨⲚⲞⲨ ⲚⲀϤⲚⲀⲢⲰⲒⲤ ⲠⲈ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈϤϢⲦⲈⲘⲬ ⲀϤ ⲈϬⲒ ⲘⲠⲈϤⲎⲒ.
44 For this reason, you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour you do not expect.
ⲙ̅ⲇ̅ⲈⲐⲂⲈⲪⲀⲒ ϨⲰⲦⲈⲚ ϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚⲤⲈⲂⲦⲰⲦ ϪⲈ ϦⲈⲚϮⲞⲨⲚⲞⲨ ⲈⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲤⲰⲞⲨⲚ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲀⲚ ⲀⲢⲈ ⲠϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲘⲪⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲚⲎⲞⲨ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲤ.
45 Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of his household, to give the others their food at the proper time?
ⲙ̅ⲉ̅ⲚⲒⲘ ϨⲀⲢⲀ ⲠⲈ ⲠⲒⲠⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲘⲂⲰⲔ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲤⲀⲂⲈ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲠⲈϤϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲚⲀⲬⲀϤ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲚⲈϤⲈⲂⲒⲀⲒⲔ ⲈϮ ⲚⲦⲞⲨϦⲢⲈ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲤⲎⲞⲨ ⲚⲦⲎⲒⲤ.
46 Blessed is that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns.
ⲙ̅ⲋ̅ⲰⲞⲨⲚⲒⲀⲦϤ ⲘⲠⲒⲂⲰⲔ ⲈⲦⲈⲘⲘⲀⲨ ⲈϢⲰⲠ ⲀϤϢⲀⲚⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲈϤϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲚⲦⲈϤϪⲈⲘϤ ⲈϤⲒⲢⲒ ⲘⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ.
47 Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions.
ⲙ̅ⲍ̅ⲀⲘⲎⲚ ϮϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ ϪⲈ ϤⲚⲀⲬⲀϤ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲠⲈⲦⲈⲚⲦⲀϤ ⲦⲎⲢϤ.
48 But suppose that servant is wicked and says in his heart, ‘My master will be away a long time.’
ⲙ̅ⲏ̅ⲈϢⲰⲠ ⲀϤϢⲀⲚϪⲞⲤ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲒⲂⲰⲔ ⲈⲦϨⲰⲞⲨ ⲈⲦⲈⲘⲘⲀⲨ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲈϤϨⲎⲦ ϪⲈ ⲠⲀϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲚⲀⲰⲤⲔ.
49 And he begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards.
ⲙ̅ⲑ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲈⲢϨⲎⲦⲤ ⲚϨⲒⲞⲨⲒ ⲈⲚⲈϤϢⲪⲎ ⲢⲚⲈⲂⲒⲀⲒⲔ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲞⲨⲰⲘ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲤⲰ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲐⲀϦⲒ.
50 The master of that servant will come on a day he does not expect and at an hour he does not anticipate.
ⲛ̅ⲈϤⲈⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲠϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲘⲠⲒⲂⲰⲔ ⲈⲦⲈⲘⲘⲀⲨ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ ⲈⲦⲈⲚϤϪⲞⲨϢⲦ ϦⲀϪⲰϤ ⲀⲚ ⲚⲈⲘ ϦⲈⲚϮⲞⲨⲚⲞⲨ ⲈⲦⲈⲚϤⲤⲰⲞⲨⲚ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲀⲚ.
51 Then he will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
ⲛ̅ⲁ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈϤⲈⲪⲞⲢϪϤ ϦⲈⲚⲦⲈϤⲘⲎϮ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈϤⲈⲬⲰ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲦⲞⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒϢⲞⲂⲒ ⲠⲒⲘⲀ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲪⲢⲒⲘⲒ ⲚⲀϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲤⲐⲈⲢⲦⲈⲢ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒⲚⲀϪϨⲒ.
