Matthew 2
1 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem,
၁ယုဒပြည်ဗက်လင်မြို့၌ ဟေရုဒ်မင်းကြီးလက်ထက်၊ ယေရှုသည် ဘွားမြင်ခြင်းကိုခံတော်မူပြီးမှ၊ မာဂု ပညာရှိတို့သည် အရှေ့ပြည်က ယေရုရှလင်မြို့သို့ ရောက်လာကြလျှင်။
2 asking, “Where is the One who has been born King of the Jews? We saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.”
၂ယခု ဘွားမြင်သောယုဒရှင်ဘုရင်သည်၊ အဘယ်မှာရှိတော်မူသနည်း။ အရှေ့ပြည်၌ သူ၏ကြယ်ကို ငါ တို့မြင်ရသည်ဖြစ်၍ ဖူးတွေ့ပူဇော်ခြင်းငှါ ရောက်လာပြီဟု မေးမြန်းပြောဆိုကြ၏။
3 When King Herod heard this, he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him.
၃ထိုစကားကိုကြားလျှင် ဟေရုဒ်မင်းကြီးသည် ယေရုရှလင်မြို့သူမြို့သားအပေါင်းတို့နှင့်တကွ စိတ်ပူပန် ခြင်းသို့ ရောက်သဖြင့်၊
4 And when he had assembled all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he asked them where the Christ was to be born.
၄ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်အကြီးတို့နှင့်လူတို့တွင် ကျမ်းပြုဆရာရှိသမျှတို့ကို စုဝေးစေ၍ ခရစ်တော်ကို အဘယ် အရပ်မှာ ဘွားမြင်လိမ့်မည်နည်းဟု မေးမြန်းတော်မူ၏။
5 “In Bethlehem in Judea,” they replied, “for this is what the prophet has written:
၅ထိုဆရာတို့ကလည်း၊ ပရောဖက်တဦး ရေးထားသောအချက်ဟူမူကား၊
6 ‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah, for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of My people Israel.’”
၆အိုယုဒပြည်ဗက်လင်မြို့၊ အစိုးရသောယုဒမြို့တို့တွင်သင်သည် မြို့ငယ်မြို့ယုတ်မဟုတ်။ အကြောင်း မူကား၊ ငါ၏လူစုဣသရေလအမျိုးကို အုပ်စိုးရသောသခင်သည် သင်၏အထဲမှာပေါ်ထွန်းလတံ့ဟု ကျမ်းလာ ရှိပါ၏။ ထို့ကြောင့် ယုဒပြည်ဗက်လင်မြို့၌ ခရစ်တော်ကိုဘွားမြင်ရပါမည်ဟု မင်းကြီးအား ပြန်ကြားလျှောက် ထားကြ၏။
7 Then Herod called the Magi secretly and learned from them the exact time the star had appeared.
၇ထိုအခါ ဟေရုဒ်မင်းကြီးသည်၊ မာဂုပညာရှိတို့ကိုမထင်မရှားခေါ်၍ ကြယ်ပေါ်ထွန်းသောအချိန် ကာလကို စေ့စေ့မေးမြန်းပြီးမှ၊
8 And sending them to Bethlehem, he said: “Go and search carefully for the Child, and when you find Him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship Him.”
၈သင်တို့သွား၍ ထိုသူငယ်ကိုကြိုးစားရှာကြပါ။ တွေ့လျှင် ငါ့ထံသို့ပြန်လာ၍ ငါလည်း ထိုသူငယ်ကို ဖူးတွေ့ပူဇော်ရအောင် ကြားပြောကြပါဟု မှာထားတော်မူလျက်၊ ဗက်လျင်မြို့သို့ စေလွှတ်လေ၏။
9 After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stood over the place where the Child was.
၉ထိုသူတို့သည် မင်းကြီးစကားကိုနာခံပြီးလျှင်ထွက်သွားကြ၍ အရှေ့ပြည်၌မြင်ရသောကြယ်သည် သူတို့ ရှေ့ကသွားသဖြင့် သူငယ်တော်ရှိရာအရပ်အပေါ်သို့ရောက်၍ တည်လျက်နေ၏။
10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with great delight.
၁၀ထိုကြယ်ကိုမြင်ပြန်သောအခါ အလွန်ဝမ်းမြောက်ဝမ်းသာခြင်းရှိ၍၊
11 On coming to the house, they saw the Child with His mother Mary, and they fell down and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold and frankincense and myrrh.
၁၁အိမ်သို့ဝင်လေသော်၊ မယ်တော်မာရိနှင့်တကွ သူငယ်တော်ကိုတွေ့မြင်လျှင် ပြပ်ဝပ်ကိုးကွယ်၍၊ မိမိတို့ ဘဏ္ဍာဥစ္စာတို့ကိုဖွင့်ပြီးမှ လောဗန်နှင့်မုရန် တည်းဟူသောနံ့သာမျိုးကို၎င်း၊ ရွှေကို၎င်း ဆက်ကပ်ပူဇော်ကြ၏။
12 And having been warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they withdrew to their country by another route.
၁၂နောက်မှ ဟေရုဒ်မင်းကြီးထံသို့ မပြန်ရမည်အကြောင်းကိုအိပ်မက်တွင် ဗျာဒိတ်တော်ကိုရ၍ မိမိတို့ ပြည်သို့ အခြားသောလမ်းဖြင့်ပြန်သွားကြ၏။
13 When the Magi had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up!” he said. “Take the Child and His mother and flee to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the Child to kill Him.”
၁၃ထိုသူတို့ သွားကြသည်နောက်၊ ယောသပ်သည်အိပ်မက်ကိုမြင်သည်မှာ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ ကောင်းကင် တမန်သည်ထင်ရှား၍၊ သင်ထလော့။ မယ်တော်နှင့် သူငယ်တော်ကိုဆောင်ယူပြီးလျှင်၊ အဲဂုတ္တုပြည်သို့ပြေး၍၊ တဖန် ငါပြောဆိုသည်တိုင်အောင် ထိုပြည်၌နေလော့။ ဟေရုဒ်မင်းကြီးသည် သူငယ်တော်ကို သတ်အံ့သောငှာ ရှာလိမ့်မည်ဟုဆိုလေ၏။
14 So he got up, took the Child and His mother by night, and withdrew to Egypt,
၁၄ထိုအခါ ယောသပ်သည် ထ၍ မယ်တော်နှင့်သူငယ်တော်ကို ညဉ့်အချိန်၌ ဆောင်ယူပြီးလျှင် အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည်သို့ ထွက်သွား၍၊
15 where he stayed until the death of Herod. This fulfilled what the Lord had spoken through the prophet: “Out of Egypt I called My Son.”
၁၅ဟေရုဒ်မင်းကြီး အနိစ္စရောက်သည်တိုင်အောင် ထိုပြည်၌နေလေ၏။ ဤအကြောင်းအရာကား၊ ငါ့သား ကို အဲဂုတ္တုပြည်မှငါခေါ်ခဲ့ပြီဟု ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ပရောဖက်ဖြင့်ထားတော်မူသောဗျာဒိတ်တော် ပြည့်စုံမည် အကြောင်းတည်း။
16 When Herod saw that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was filled with rage. Sending orders, he put to death all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, according to the time he had learned from the Magi.
၁၆ထိုအခါ ဟေရုဒ်မင်းကြီးသည် မာဂုပညာရှိတို့ လှည့်ဖြားသည်ကိုသိလျှင်၊ ပြင်းစွာအမျက်ထွက်၍ လူကို စေလွှတ်သဖြင့်၊ မာဂုပညာရှိတို့၌ စေ့စေ့မေးမြန်းပြီးသော ကြယ်၏အချိန်ကာလကိုထောက်၍၊ ဗက်လင်မြို့မှ စသော ကျေးလက်ရှိသမျှတို့၌ နှစ်နှစ်အရွယ်မှစ၍ ထိုအရွယ်အောက်ယုတ်သော သူငယ်ယောက်ျားအပေါင်း တို့ကို သတ်စေ၏။
17 Then what was spoken through the prophet Jeremiah was fulfilled:
၁၇ပရောဖက်ယေရမိဟောဘူးသည်ကား၊
18 “A voice is heard in Ramah, weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and refusing to be comforted, because they are no more.”
၁၈ရာမအရပ်၌ သည်းစွာသောညည်းတွားငိုကြွေး၊ မြည်တမ်းခြင်းအသံကိုကြားရ၍၊ ရာခေလသည် မိမိ သားတို့ မရှိသောကြောင့်ငို၍ စိတ်မပြေနိုင်ဟူသောစကားသည် ထိုအခါ၌အမှန်ကျသတည်း။
19 After Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt.
၁၉ဟေရုဒ်မင်းကြီး အနိစ္စရောက်သည်နောက်၊ ယောသပ်သည် အဲဂုတ္တုပြည်၌ အိပ်မက်ကိုမြင်ပြန်သည် မှာ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ ကောင်းကင်တမန်သည်ထင်ရှား၍၊
20 “Get up!” he said. “Take the Child and His mother and go to the land of Israel, for those seeking the Child’s life are now dead.”
၂၀သင်ထလော့။ မယ်တော်နှင့် သူငယ်တော်ကိုဆောင်ယူပြီးလျှင် ဣသရေလတိုင်းသို့သွားလော့။ သူငယ် တော်ကိုသတ်အံ့သောငှါ ရှာသောသူတို့သည် သေကြပြီဟုဆိုလေ၏။
21 So Joseph got up, took the Child and His mother, and went to the land of Israel.
၂၁ထိုအခါ ယောသပ်သည် ထ၍ မယ်တော်နှင့်သူငယ်တော်ကို ဆောင်ယူပြီးလျှင် ဣသရေလတိုင်းသို့ သွား၍ ရောက်သည်ရှိသော်၊
22 But when he learned that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. And having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galilee,
၂၂ဟေရုဒ်မင်းကြီး၏ အရာ၌ သားတော်အာခေလသည် ယုဒပြည်တွင်မင်းပြုကြောင်းကို ကြားရလျှင်၊ ထိုပြည်သို့ မသွားဝံ့၍ အိပ်မက်၌ ဗျာဒိတ်တော်ကိုရပြန်ပြီးမှ ဂါလိလဲပြည်သို့သွား၍၊
23 and he went and lived in a town called Nazareth. So was fulfilled what was spoken through the prophets: “He will be called a Nazarene.”
၂၃ခရစ်တော်ကို နာဇရက်လူဟုခေါ်ဝေါ်ကြလတံ့ဟူသော ပရောဖက်တို့၏ နှုတ်ထွက်နှင့်အညီ၊ နာဇရက် အမည်ရှိသောမြို့သို့ရောက်၍ အမြဲနေလေ၏။
