Matthew 15
1 Then some Pharisees and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked,
அபரம்’ யிரூஸா²லம்நக³ரீயா: கதிபயா அத்⁴யாபகா: பி²ரூஸி²நஸ்²ச யீஸோ²: ஸமீபமாக³த்ய கத²யாமாஸு: ,
2 “Why do Your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They do not wash their hands before they eat.”
தவ ஸி²ஷ்யா: கிமர்த²ம் அப்ரக்ஷாலிதகரை ர்ப⁴க்ஷித்வா பரம்பராக³தம்’ ப்ராசீநாநாம்’ வ்யவஹாரம்’ லங்வந்தே?
3 Jesus replied, “And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?
ததோ யீஸு²: ப்ரத்யுவாச, யூயம்’ பரம்பராக³தாசாரேண குத ஈஸ்²வராஜ்ஞாம்’ லங்வத்⁴வே|
4 For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother’ and ‘Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.’
ஈஸ்²வர இத்யாஜ்ஞாபயத், த்வம்’ நிஜபிதரௌ ஸம்’மந்யேதா²: , யேந ச நிஜபிதரௌ நிந்த்³யேதே, ஸ நிஸ்²சிதம்’ ம்ரியேத;
5 But you say that if anyone says to his father or mother, ‘Whatever you would have received from me is a gift devoted to God,’
கிந்து யூயம்’ வத³த², ய: ஸ்வஜநகம்’ ஸ்வஜநநீம்’ வா வாக்யமித³ம்’ வத³தி, யுவாம்’ மத்தோ யல்லபே⁴தே², தத் ந்யவித்³யத,
6 he need not honor his father or mother with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition.
ஸ நிஜபிதரௌ புந ர்ந ஸம்’மம்’ஸ்யதே| இத்த²ம்’ யூயம்’ பரம்பராக³தேந ஸ்வேஷாமாசாரேணேஸ்²வரீயாஜ்ஞாம்’ லும்பத²|
7 You hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about you:
ரே கபடிந: ஸர்வ்வே யிஸ²யியோ யுஷ்மாநதி⁴ ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வசநாந்யேதாநி ஸம்யக்³ உக்தவாந்|
8 ‘These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me.
வத³நை ர்மநுஜா ஏதே ஸமாயாந்தி மத³ந்திகம்’| ததா²த⁴ரை ர்மதீ³யஞ்ச மாநம்’ குர்வ்வந்தி தே நரா: |
9 They worship Me in vain; they teach as doctrine the precepts of men.’”
கிந்து தேஷாம்’ மநோ மத்தோ விதூ³ரஏவ திஷ்ட²தி| ஸி²க்ஷயந்தோ விதீ⁴ந் ந்ராஜ்ஞா ப⁴ஜந்தே மாம்’ முதை⁴வ தே|
10 Jesus called the crowd to Him and said, “Listen and understand.
ததோ யீஸு² ர்லோகாந் ஆஹூய ப்ரோக்தவாந், யூயம்’ ஸ்²ருத்வா பு³த்⁴யத்⁴ப³ம்’|
11 A man is not defiled by what enters his mouth, but by what comes out of it.”
யந்முக²ம்’ ப்ரவிஸ²தி, தத் மநுஜம் அமேத்⁴யம்’ ந கரோதி, கிந்து யதா³ஸ்யாத் நிர்க³ச்ச²தி, ததே³வ மாநுஷமமேத்⁴யீ கரோதீ|
12 Then the disciples came to Him and said, “Are You aware that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?”
ததா³நீம்’ ஸி²ஷ்யா ஆக³த்ய தஸ்மை கத²யாஞ்சக்ரு: , ஏதாம்’ கதா²ம்’ ஸ்²ருத்வா பி²ரூஸி²நோ வ்யரஜ்யந்த, தத் கிம்’ ப⁴வதா ஜ்ஞாயதே?
13 But Jesus replied, “Every plant that My heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by its roots.
ஸ ப்ரத்யவத³த், மம ஸ்வர்க³ஸ்த²: பிதா யம்’ கஞ்சித³ங்குரம்’ நாரோபயத், ஸ உத்பாவ்த்³யதே|
14 Disregard them! They are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.”
தே திஷ்ட²ந்து, தே அந்த⁴மநுஜாநாம் அந்த⁴மார்க³த³ர்ஸ²கா ஏவ; யத்³யந்தோ⁴(அ)ந்த⁴ம்’ பந்தா²நம்’ த³ர்ஸ²யதி, தர்ஹ்யுபௌ⁴ க³ர்த்தே பதத: |
15 Peter said to Him, “Explain this parable to us.”
ததா³ பிதரஸ்தம்’ ப்ரத்யவத³த், த்³ரு’ஷ்டாந்தமிமமஸ்மாந் போ³த⁴யது|
16 “Do you still not understand?” Jesus asked.
யீஸு²நா ப்ரோக்தம்’, யூயமத்³ய யாவத் கிமபோ³தா⁴: ஸ்த²?
17 “Do you not yet realize that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then is eliminated?
கதா²மிமாம்’ கிம்’ ந பு³த்⁴யத்⁴பே³? யதா³ஸ்யம்’ ப்ரேவிஸ²தி, தத்³ உத³ரே பதந் ப³ஹிர்நிர்யாதி,
18 But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these things defile a man.
கிந்த்வாஸ்யாத்³ யந்நிர்யாதி, தத்³ அந்த: கரணாத் நிர்யாதத்வாத் மநுஜமமேத்⁴யம்’ கரோதி|
19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, and slander.
யதோ(அ)ந்த: கரணாத் குசிந்தா ப³த⁴: பாரதா³ரிகதா வேஸ்²யாக³மநம்’ சைர்ய்யம்’ மித்²யாஸாக்ஷ்யம் ஈஸ்²வரநிந்தா³ சைதாநி ஸர்வ்வாணி நிர்ய்யாந்தி|
20 These are what defile a man, but eating with unwashed hands does not defile him.”
ஏதாநி மநுஷ்யமபவித்ரீ குர்வ்வந்தி கிந்த்வப்ரக்ஷாலிதகரேண போ⁴ஜநம்’ மநுஜமமேத்⁴யம்’ ந கரோதி|
21 Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the district of Tyre and Sidon.
அநந்தரம்’ யீஸு²ஸ்தஸ்மாத் ஸ்தா²நாத் ப்ரஸ்தா²ய ஸோரஸீதோ³ந்நக³ரயோ: ஸீமாமுபதஸ்யௌ|
22 And a Canaanite woman from that region came to Him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is miserably possessed by a demon.”
ததா³ தத்ஸீமாத: காசித் கிநாநீயா யோஷித்³ ஆக³த்ய தமுச்சைருவாச, ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴ தா³யூத³: ஸந்தாந, மமைகா து³ஹிதாஸ்தே ஸா பூ⁴தக்³ரஸ்தா ஸதீ மஹாக்லேஸ²ம்’ ப்ராப்நோதி மம த³யஸ்வ|
23 But Jesus did not answer a word. So His disciples came and urged Him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.”
கிந்து யீஸு²ஸ்தாம்’ கிமபி நோக்தவாந், தத: ஸி²ஷ்யா ஆக³த்ய தம்’ நிவேத³யாமாஸு: , ஏஷா யோஷித்³ அஸ்மாகம்’ பஸ்²சாத்³ உச்சைராஹூயாக³ச்ச²தி, ஏநாம்’ விஸ்ரு’ஜது|
24 He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
ததா³ ஸ ப்ரத்யவத³த், இஸ்ராயேல்கோ³த்ரஸ்ய ஹாரிதமேஷாந் விநா கஸ்யாப்யந்யஸ்ய ஸமீபம்’ நாஹம்’ ப்ரேஷிதோஸ்மி|
25 The woman came and knelt before Him. “Lord, help me!” she said.
தத: ஸா நாரீஸமாக³த்ய தம்’ ப்ரணம்ய ஜகா³த³, ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴ மாமுபகுரு|
26 But Jesus replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”
ஸ உக்தவாந், பா³லகாநாம்’ ப⁴க்ஷ்யமாதா³ய ஸாரமேயேப்⁴யோ தா³நம்’ நோசிதம்’|
27 “Yes, Lord,” she said, “even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”
ததா³ ஸா ப³பா⁴ஷே, ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴, தத் ஸத்யம்’, ததா²பி ப்ரபோ⁴ ர்ப⁴ஞ்சாத்³ யது³ச்சி²ஷ்டம்’ பததி, தத் ஸாரமேயா: கா²த³ந்தி|
28 “O woman,” Jesus answered, “your faith is great! Let it be done for you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
ததோ யீஸு²: ப்ரத்யவத³த், ஹே யோஷித், தவ விஸ்²வாஸோ மஹாந் தஸ்மாத் தவ மநோபி⁴லஷிதம்’ ஸித்³ய்யது, தேந தஸ்யா: கந்யா தஸ்மிந்நேவ த³ண்டே³ நிராமயாப⁴வத்|
29 Moving on from there, Jesus went along the Sea of Galilee. Then He went up on a mountain and sat down.
அநந்தரம்’ யீஸ²ஸ்தஸ்மாத் ஸ்தா²நாத் ப்ரஸ்தா²ய கா³லீல்ஸாக³ரஸ்ய ஸந்நிதி⁴மாக³த்ய த⁴ராத⁴ரமாருஹ்ய தத்ரோபவிவேஸ²|
30 Large crowds came to Him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute, and many others, and laid them at His feet, and He healed them.
பஸ்²சாத் ஜநநிவஹோ ப³ஹூந் க²ஞ்சாந்த⁴மூகஸு²ஷ்ககரமாநுஷாந் ஆதா³ய யீஸோ²: ஸமீபமாக³த்ய தச்சரணாந்திகே ஸ்தா²பயாமாஸு: , தத: ஸா தாந் நிராமயாந் அகரோத்|
31 The crowd was amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled restored, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they glorified the God of Israel.
இத்த²ம்’ மூகா வாக்யம்’ வத³ந்தி, ஸு²ஷ்ககரா: ஸ்வாஸ்த்²யமாயாந்தி, பங்க³வோ க³ச்ச²ந்தி, அந்தா⁴ வீக்ஷந்தே, இதி விலோக்ய லோகா விஸ்மயம்’ மந்யமாநா இஸ்ராயேல ஈஸ்²வரம்’ த⁴ந்யம்’ ப³பா⁴ஷிரே|
32 Then Jesus called His disciples to Him and said, “I have compassion for this crowd, because they have already been with Me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may faint along the way.”
ததா³நீம்’ யீஸு²: ஸ்வஸி²ஷ்யாந் ஆஹூய க³தி³தவாந், ஏதஜ்ஜநநிவஹேஷு மம த³யா ஜாயதே, ஏதே தி³நத்ரயம்’ மயா ஸாகம்’ ஸந்தி, ஏஷாம்’ ப⁴க்ஷ்யவஸ்து ச கஞ்சித³பி நாஸ்தி, தஸ்மாத³ஹமேதாநக்ரு’தாஹாராந் ந விஸ்ரக்ஷ்யாமி, ததா²த்வே வர்த்மமத்⁴யே க்லாம்யேஷு: |
33 The disciples replied, “Where in this desolate place could we find enough bread to feed such a large crowd?”
ததா³ ஸி²ஷ்யா ஊசு: , ஏதஸ்மிந் ப்ராந்தரமத்⁴ய ஏதாவதோ மர்த்யாந் தர்பயிதும்’ வயம்’ குத்ர பூபாந் ப்ராப்ஸ்யாம: ?
34 “How many loaves do you have?” Jesus asked. “Seven,” they replied, “and a few small fish.”
யீஸு²ரப்ரு’ச்ச²த், யுஷ்மாகம்’ நிகடே கதி பூபா ஆஸதே? த ஊசு: , ஸப்தபூபா அல்பா: க்ஷுத்³ரமீநாஸ்²ச ஸந்தி|
35 And He instructed the crowd to sit down on the ground.
ததா³நீம்’ ஸ லோகநிவஹம்’ பூ⁴மாவுபவேஷ்டும் ஆதி³ஸ்²ய
36 Taking the seven loaves and the fish, He gave thanks and broke them. Then He gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.
தாந் ஸப்தபூபாந் மீநாம்’ஸ்²ச க்³ரு’ஹ்லந் ஈஸ்²வரீயகு³ணாந் அநூத்³ய ப⁴ம்’க்த்வா ஸி²ஷ்யேப்⁴யோ த³தௌ³, ஸி²ஷ்யா லோகேப்⁴யோ த³து³: |
37 They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up seven basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
தத: ஸர்வ்வே பு⁴க்த்வா த்ரு’ப்தவந்த: ; தத³வஸி²ஷ்டப⁴க்ஷ்யேண ஸப்தட³லகாந் பரிபூர்ய்ய ஸம்’ஜக்³ரு’ஹு: |
38 A total of four thousand men were fed, in addition to women and children.
தே போ⁴க்தாரோ யோஷிதோ பா³லகாம்’ஸ்²ச விஹாய ப்ராயேண சது: ஸஹஸ்ராணி புருஷா ஆஸந்|
39 After Jesus had dismissed the crowds, He got into the boat and went to the region of Magadan.
தத: பரம்’ ஸ ஜநநிவஹம்’ விஸ்ரு’ஜ்ய தரிமாருஹ்ய மக்³த³லாப்ரதே³ஸ²ம்’ க³தவாந்|
