Matthew 12
1 At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry and began to pick the heads of grain and eat them.
௧அக்காலத்திலே, இயேசு ஓய்வுநாளில் வயல்வழியே போனார்; அவருடைய சீடர்கள் பசியாக இருந்து, கதிர்களைப் பறித்து, சாப்பிடத் தொடங்கினார்கள்.
2 When the Pharisees saw this, they said to Him, “Look, Your disciples are doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath.”
௨பரிசேயர்கள் அதைக் கண்டு, அவரைப் பார்த்து: இதோ, ஓய்வுநாளில் செய்யக்கூடாததை உம்முடைய சீடர்கள் செய்கிறார்களே என்றார்கள்.
3 Jesus replied, “Have you not read what David did when he and his companions were hungry?
௩அதற்கு அவர்: தாவீதும் அவனோடு இருந்தவர்களும் பசியாக இருந்தபோது செய்ததை நீங்கள் வாசிக்கவில்லையா?
4 He entered the house of God, and he and his companions ate the consecrated bread, which was not lawful for them to eat, but only for the priests.
௪அவன் தேவனுடைய வீட்டில் பிரவேசித்து, ஆசாரியர்கள்தவிர வேறு ஒருவரும் புசிக்கக்கூடாத தேவ சமுகத்து அப்பங்களைத் தானும் தன்னோடு இருந்தவர்களும் புசித்தார்களே.
5 Or haven’t you read in the Law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple break the Sabbath and yet are innocent?
௫அன்றியும், ஓய்வுநாட்களில் ஆசாரியர்கள் தேவாலயத்தில் ஓய்ந்திராமல், ஓய்வுநாளை வேலைநாளாக்கினாலும் குற்றமில்லாமல் இருக்கிறார்கள் என்று நீங்கள் வேதத்தில் வாசிக்கவில்லையா?
6 But I tell you that something greater than the temple is here.
௬தேவாலயத்திலும் பெரியவர் இங்கே இருக்கிறார் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.
7 If only you had known the meaning of ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the innocent.
௭பலியை அல்ல இரக்கத்தையே விரும்புகிறேன் என்பதின் கருத்து இன்னதென்று அறிந்தீர்களானால், குற்றமில்லாதவர்களை நீங்கள் குற்றப்படுத்தமாட்டீர்கள்.
8 For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”
௮மனிதகுமாரன் ஓய்வுநாளுக்கும் ஆண்டவராக இருக்கிறார் என்றார்.
9 Moving on from there, Jesus entered their synagogue,
௯அவர் அந்த இடத்தைவிட்டுப்போய், அவர்களுடைய ஜெப ஆலயத்திற்கு வந்தார்.
10 and a man with a withered hand was there. In order to accuse Jesus, they asked Him, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”
௧0அங்கே சூம்பின கையையுடைய மனிதன் ஒருவன் இருந்தான். அப்பொழுது, அவர்மேல் குற்றஞ்சாட்டும்படிக்கு: ஓய்வுநாளில் சுகமாக்குகிறது நியாயமா என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
11 He replied, “If one of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will he not take hold of it and lift it out?
௧௧அதற்கு அவர்: உங்களில் எந்த மனிதனுக்காவது ஒரு ஆடு இருந்து, அது ஓய்வுநாளில் குழியிலே விழுந்தால், அதைப் பிடித்துத் தூக்கிவிடமாட்டானோ?
12 How much more valuable is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”
௧௨ஆட்டைவிட மனிதனானவன் எவ்வளவோ விசேஷித்திருக்கிறான்! ஆதலால், ஓய்வுநாளிலே நன்மை செய்வது நியாயம்தான் என்று சொன்னார்.
13 Then Jesus said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched it out, and it was restored to full use, just like the other.
௧௩பின்பு அந்த மனிதனைப் பார்த்து: உன் கையை நீட்டு என்றார். அவன் நீட்டினான்; அது மறுகையைப்போல சுகமானது.
14 But the Pharisees went out and plotted how they might kill Jesus.
௧௪அப்பொழுது, பரிசேயர்கள் வெளியேபோய், அவரைக் கொலைசெய்யும்படி அவருக்கு விரோதமாக ஆலோசனை செய்தார்கள்.
15 Aware of this, Jesus withdrew from that place. Large crowds followed Him, and He healed them all,
௧௫இயேசு அதை அறிந்து, அந்த இடத்தைவிட்டு விலகிப்போனார். திரளான மக்கள் அவருக்குப் பின்னே சென்றார்கள்; அவர்களெல்லோரையும் அவர் சுகமாக்கி,
16 warning them not to make Him known.
௧௬தம்மைப் பிரசித்தப்படுத்தாதபடி அவர்களுக்குக் கண்டிப்பாகக் கட்டளையிட்டார்.
17 This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:
௧௭ஏசாயா தீர்க்கதரிசியால் சொல்லப்பட்டது நிறைவேறும்படி இப்படி நடந்தது. அவன் சொன்னதாவது:
18 “Here is My Servant, whom I have chosen, My beloved, in whom My soul delights. I will put My Spirit on Him, and He will proclaim justice to the nations.
௧௮“இதோ, நான் தெரிந்துகொண்ட என்னுடைய தாசன், என் ஆத்துமாவிற்குப் பிரியமாக இருக்கிற என்னுடைய நேசன்; என் ஆவியை அவர்மேல் அமரச் செய்வேன், அவர் யூதரல்லாதவர்களுக்கு நியாயத்தை அறிவிப்பார்.
19 He will not quarrel or cry out; no one will hear His voice in the streets.
௧௯வாக்குவாதம் செய்யவும் மாட்டார், சத்தமிடவும் மாட்டார்; அவருடைய சத்தத்தை ஒருவனும் வீதிகளில் கேட்பதுமில்லை.
20 A bruised reed He will not break, and a smoldering wick He will not extinguish, till He leads justice to victory.
௨0அவர் நியாயத்திற்கு ஜெயம் கிடைக்கச்செய்கிறவரைக்கும், நெரிந்த நாணலை முறிக்காமலும், மங்கியெரிகிற திரியை அணைக்காமலும் இருப்பார்.
21 In His name the nations will put their hope.”
௨௧அவருடைய நாமத்தின்மேல் உலகிலுள்ளோர் நம்பிக்கையாக இருப்பார்கள்” என்பதே.
22 Then a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute was brought to Jesus, and He healed the man so that he could speak and see.
௨௨அப்பொழுது, பிசாசு பிடித்த குருடும் ஊமையுமான ஒருவன் அவரிடத்தில் கொண்டுவரப்பட்டான்; குருடும் ஊமையுமானவன் பேசவும் பார்க்கவுந்தக்கதாக அவனைச் சுகமாக்கினார்.
23 The crowds were astounded and asked, “Could this be the Son of David?”
௨௩மக்களெல்லோரும் ஆச்சரியப்பட்டு: தாவீதின் குமாரன் இவர்தானோ? என்றார்கள்.
24 But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, “Only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, does this man drive out demons.”
௨௪பரிசேயர்கள் அதைக்கேட்டு: இவன் பிசாசுகளின் தலைவனாகிய பெயெல்செபூலினாலே பிசாசுகளைத் துரத்துகிறானேயல்லாமல் மற்றபடியல்ல என்றார்கள்.
25 Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.
௨௫இயேசு அவர்கள் யோசனைகளை அறிந்து, அவர்களைப் பார்த்து: தனக்குத்தானே விரோதமாகப் பிரிந்திருக்கிற எந்த ராஜ்யமும் பாழாகப்போகும்; தனக்குத்தானே விரோதமாகப் பிரிந்திருக்கிற எந்தப் பட்டணமும் எந்த வீடும் நிலைநிற்கமாட்டாது.
26 If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand?
௨௬சாத்தானைச் சாத்தான் துரத்தினால் தனக்கு விரோதமாகத் தானே பிரிவினை செய்கிறதாயிருக்குமே; அப்படிச் செய்தால் அவன் ராஜ்யம் எப்படி நிலைநிற்கும்?
27 And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons drive them out? So then, they will be your judges.
௨௭நான் பெயெல்செபூலினாலே பிசாசுகளைத் துரத்தினால், உங்களுடைய பிள்ளைகள் அவைகளை யாராலே துரத்துகிறார்கள்? ஆகவே, அவர்களே உங்களை நியாயந்தீர்க்கிறவர்களாக இருப்பார்கள்.
28 But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
௨௮நான் தேவனுடைய ஆவியானவராலே பிசாசுகளைத் துரத்துகிறபடியால், தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் உங்களிடம் வந்திருக்கிறதே.
29 Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man’s house and steal his possessions, unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can plunder his house.
௨௯அன்றியும், பலவானை முந்திக் கட்டினாலொழிய பலவானுடைய வீட்டிற்குள் ஒருவன் புகுந்து, அவன் உடைமைகளை எப்படிக் கொள்ளையிடமுடியும்? கட்டினானேயாகில், அவன் வீட்டைக் கொள்ளையிடலாம்.
30 He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters.
௩0என்னோடு இராதவன் எனக்கு விரோதியாக இருக்கிறான்; என்னோடு சேர்க்காதவன் சிதறடிக்கிறான்.
31 Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
௩௧ஆதலால், நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்: எந்தப் பாவமும் எந்த நிந்தனையும் மனிதர்களுக்கு மன்னிக்கப்படும்; ஆவியானவருக்கு விரோதமான நிந்தனையோ மனிதர்களுக்கு மன்னிக்கப்படுவதில்லை.
32 Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the one to come. (aiōn g165)
௩௨எவனாவது மனிதகுமாரனுக்கு விரோதமாக வார்த்தை சொன்னால் அது அவனுக்கு மன்னிக்கப்படும்; எவனாவது பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவருக்கு விரோதமாகப் பேசினால் அது இம்மையிலும் மறுமையிலும் அவனுக்கு மன்னிக்கப்படுவதில்லை. (aiōn g165)
33 Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad; for a tree is known by its fruit.
௩௩மரம் நல்லதென்றால், அதின் கனியும் நல்லதென்று சொல்லுங்கள்; மரம் கெட்டதென்றால், அதின் கனியும் கெட்டதென்று சொல்லுங்கள்; மரமானது அதின் கனியினால் அறியப்படும்.
34 You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks.
௩௪விரியன்பாம்புக் குட்டிகளே, நீங்கள் பொல்லாதவர்களாக இருக்க, நலமானவைகளை எப்படிப் பேசுவீர்கள்? இருதயத்தின் நிறைவினால் வாய் பேசும்.
35 The good man brings good things out of his good store of treasure, and the evil man brings evil things out of his evil store of treasure.
௩௫நல்ல மனிதன் இருதயமாகிய நல்ல பொக்கிஷத்திலிருந்து நல்லவைகளை எடுத்துக்காட்டுகிறான், பொல்லாத மனிதன் பொல்லாத பொக்கிஷத்திலிருந்து பொல்லாதவைகளை எடுத்துக்காட்டுகிறான்.
36 But I tell you that men will give an account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken.
௩௬மனிதர்கள் பேசும் வீணான வார்த்தைகள் யாவையும்குறித்து நியாயத்தீர்ப்புநாளிலே கணக்கு ஒப்புவிக்கவேண்டும் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.
37 For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”
௩௭ஏனென்றால், உன் வார்த்தைகளினாலே நீதிமான் என்று தீர்க்கப்படுவாய்; அல்லது உன் வார்த்தைகளினாலே குற்றவாளி என்று தீர்க்கப்படுவாய் என்றார்.
38 Then some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Him, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.”
௩௮அப்பொழுது, வேதபண்டிதர்களிலும் பரிசேயர்களிலும் சிலர் அவரைப் பார்த்து: போதகரே, உம்மால் ஒரு அடையாளத்தைக் காணவிரும்புகிறோம் என்றார்கள்.
39 Jesus replied, “A wicked and adulterous generation demands a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
௩௯அவர்களுக்கு அவர் மறுமொழியாக: இந்தப் பொல்லாத விபசாரச் சந்ததியார் அடையாளத்தைத் தேடுகிறார்கள்; ஆனாலும் யோனா தீர்க்கதரிசியின் அடையாளத்தைத்தவிர வேறு அடையாளம் இவர்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படுவதில்லை.
40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
௪0யோனா இரவும் பகலும் மூன்று நாட்கள் ஒரு பெரிய மீனின் வயிற்றில் இருந்ததுபோல, மனிதகுமாரனும் இரவும் பகலும் மூன்று நாட்கள் பூமியின் இருதயத்தில் இருப்பார்.
41 The men of Nineveh will stand at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now One greater than Jonah is here.
௪௧யோனாவின் பிரசங்கத்தைக் கேட்டு நினிவே பட்டணத்தார் மனந்திரும்பினார்கள். இதோ, யோனாவிலும் பெரியவர் இங்கே இருக்கிறார். ஆதலால் நியாயத்தீர்ப்புநாளிலே நினிவே பட்டணத்தார் இந்தச் சந்ததியாரோடு எழுந்து நின்று இவர்கள்மேல் குற்றஞ்சுமத்துவார்கள்.
42 The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and now One greater than Solomon is here.
௪௨தென்தேசத்து ராணி பூமியின் எல்லைகளிலிருந்து சாலொமோனுடைய ஞானத்தைக் கேட்க வந்தாள். இதோ, சாலொமோனைவிட பெரியவர் இங்கே இருக்கிறார். ஆதலால் நியாயத்தீர்ப்புநாளிலே அந்த ராணி இந்தச் சந்ததியாரோடு எழுந்து நின்று இவர்கள்மேல் குற்றஞ்சுமத்துவாள்.
43 When an unclean spirit comes out of a man, it passes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it.
௪௩அசுத்தஆவி ஒரு மனிதனைவிட்டுப் புறப்படும்போது, வறண்ட இடங்களில் அலைந்து, இளைப்பாறுதல் தேடியும் கண்டடையாமல்:
44 Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ On its return, it finds the house vacant, swept clean, and put in order.
௪௪நான் விட்டுவந்த என் வீட்டிற்குத் திரும்பிப்போவேன் என்று சொல்லி; அங்கே வந்து, அந்த வீடு வெறுமையாகவும், பெருக்கி, அலங்கரிக்கப்பட்டதாகவும் இருப்பதைப் பார்த்து,
45 Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and dwell there; and the final plight of that man is worse than the first. So will it be with this wicked generation.”
௪௫திரும்பிப்போய், தன்னைவிடப் பொல்லாத வேறு ஏழு ஆவிகளைத் தன்னோடு அழைத்துக்கொண்டுவந்து, உள்ளே நுழைந்து, அங்கே குடியிருக்கும்; அப்பொழுது, அந்த மனிதனுடைய முன்னிலைமையைவிட அவனுடைய பின்னிலைமை மிகவும் மோசமானதாக இருக்கும்; அப்படியே இந்தப் பொல்லாத சந்ததியார்களுக்கும் நடக்கும் என்றார்.
46 While Jesus was still speaking to the crowds, His mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to Him.
௪௬இப்படி அவர் மக்களோடு பேசிக்கொண்டிருக்கும்போது, அவருடைய தாயாரும் சகோதரர்களும் அவரிடத்தில் பேசவேண்டுமென்று வெளியே நின்றார்கள்.
47 Someone told Him, “Look, Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to You.”
௪௭அப்பொழுது, ஒருவன் அவரைப் பார்த்து: உம்முடைய தாயாரும் உம்முடைய சகோதரர்களும் உம்மோடு பேசவேண்டுமென்று வெளியே நிற்கிறார்கள் என்றான்.
48 But Jesus replied, “Who is My mother, and who are My brothers?”
௪௮தம்மிடத்தில் இப்படிச் சொன்னவனுக்கு அவர் மறுமொழியாக: என் தாயார் யார்? என் சகோதரர்கள் யார்? என்று சொல்லி,
49 Pointing to His disciples, He said, “Here are My mother and My brothers.
௪௯தம்முடைய கையைத் தமது சீடர்களுக்கு நேராக நீட்டி; இதோ, என் தாயும் என் சகோதரர்களும் இவர்களே!
50 For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”
௫0பரலோகத்திலிருக்கிற என் பிதாவின் விருப்பத்தின்படி செய்கிறவன் எவனோ, அவனே எனக்கு சகோதரனும், சகோதரியும், தாயுமாகவும் இருக்கிறான் என்றார்.
