Matthew 11
1 After Jesus had finished instructing His twelve disciples, He went on from there to teach and preach in their cities.
இத்த²ம்’ யீஸு²: ஸ்வத்³வாத³ஸ²ஸி²ஷ்யாணாமாஜ்ஞாபநம்’ ஸமாப்ய புரே புர உபதே³ஷ்டும்’ ஸுஸம்’வாத³ம்’ ப்ரசாரயிதும்’ தத்ஸ்தா²நாத் ப்ரதஸ்தே²|
2 Meanwhile John heard in prison about the works of Christ, and he sent his disciples
அநந்தரம்’ யோஹந் காராயாம்’ திஷ்ட²ந் க்²ரிஷ்டஸ்ய கர்ம்மணாம்’ வார்த்தம்’ ப்ராப்ய யஸ்யாக³மநவார்த்தாஸீத் ஸஏவ கிம்’ த்வம்’? வா வயமந்யம் அபேக்ஷிஷ்யாமஹே?
3 to ask Him, “Are You the One who was to come, or should we look for someone else?”
ஏதத் ப்ரஷ்டும்’ நிஜௌ த்³வௌ ஸி²ஷ்யௌ ப்ராஹிணோத்|
4 Jesus replied, “Go back and report to John what you hear and see:
யீஸு²: ப்ரத்யவோசத், அந்தா⁴ நேத்ராணி லப⁴ந்தே, க²ஞ்சா க³ச்ச²ந்தி, குஷ்டி²ந: ஸ்வஸ்தா² ப⁴வந்தி, ப³தி⁴ரா: ஸ்²ரு’ண்வந்தி, ம்ரு’தா ஜீவந்த உத்திஷ்ட²ந்தி, த³ரித்³ராணாம்’ ஸமீபே ஸுஸம்’வாத³: ப்ரசார்ய்யத,
5 The blind receive sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor.
ஏதாநி யத்³யத்³ யுவாம்’ ஸ்²ரு’ணுத²: பஸ்²யத²ஸ்²ச க³த்வா தத்³வார்த்தாம்’ யோஹநம்’ க³த³தம்’|
6 Blessed is the one who does not fall away on account of Me.”
யஸ்யாஹம்’ ந விக்⁴நீப⁴வாமி, ஸஏவ த⁴ந்ய: |
7 As John’s disciples were leaving, Jesus began to speak to the crowds about John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed swaying in the wind?
அநந்தரம்’ தயோ: ப்ரஸ்தி²தயோ ர்யீஸு² ர்யோஹநம் உத்³தி³ஸ்²ய ஜநாந் ஜகா³த³, யூயம்’ கிம்’ த்³ரஷ்டும்’ வஹிர்மத்⁴யேப்ராந்தரம் அக³ச்ச²த? கிம்’ வாதேந கம்பிதம்’ நலம்’?
8 Otherwise, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? Look, those who wear fine clothing are found in kings’ palaces.
வா கிம்’ வீக்ஷிதும்’ வஹிர்க³தவந்த: ? கிம்’ பரிஹிதஸூக்ஷ்மவஸநம்’ மநுஜமேகம்’? பஸ்²யத, யே ஸூக்ஷ்மவஸநாநி பரித³த⁴தி, தே ராஜதா⁴ந்யாம்’ திஷ்ட²ந்தி|
9 What then did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet.
தர்ஹி யூயம்’ கிம்’ த்³ரஷ்டும்’ ப³ஹிரக³மத, கிமேகம்’ ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³நம்’? ததே³வ ஸத்யம்’| யுஷ்மாநஹம்’ வதா³மி, ஸ ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³நோபி மஹாந்;
10 This is the one about whom it is written: ‘Behold, I will send My messenger ahead of You, who will prepare Your way before You.’
யத: , பஸ்²ய ஸ்வகீயதூ³தோயம்’ த்வத³க்³ரே ப்ரேஷ்யதே மயா| ஸ க³த்வா தவ பந்தா²நம்’ ஸ்மயக் பரிஷ்கரிஷ்யதி|| ஏதத்³வசநம்’ யமதி⁴ லிகி²தமாஸ்தே ஸோ(அ)யம்’ யோஹந்|
11 Truly I tell you, among those born of women there has risen no one greater than John the Baptist. Yet even the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
அபரம்’ யுஷ்மாநஹம்’ தத்²யம்’ ப்³ரவீமி, மஜ்ஜயிது ர்யோஹந: ஸ்²ரேஷ்ட²: கோபி நாரீதோ நாஜாயத; ததா²பி ஸ்வர்க³ராஜ்யமத்⁴யே ஸர்வ்வேப்⁴யோ ய: க்ஷுத்³ர: ஸ யோஹந: ஸ்²ரேஷ்ட²: |
12 From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subject to violence, and the violent lay claim to it.
அபரஞ்ச ஆ யோஹநோ(அ)த்³ய யாவத் ஸ்வர்க³ராஜ்யம்’ ப³லாதா³க்ராந்தம்’ ப⁴வதி ஆக்ரமிநஸ்²ச ஜநா ப³லேந தத³தி⁴குர்வ்வந்தி|
13 For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John.
யதோ யோஹநம்’ யாவத் ஸர்வ்வப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³பி⁴ ர்வ்யவஸ்த²யா ச உபதே³ஸ²: ப்ராகாஸ்²யத|
14 And if you are willing to accept it, he is the Elijah who was to come.
யதி³ யூயமித³ம்’ வாக்யம்’ க்³ரஹீதும்’ ஸ²க்நுத², தர்ஹி ஸ்²ரேய: , யஸ்யாக³மநஸ்ய வசநமாஸ்தே ஸோ(அ)யம் ஏலிய: |
15 He who has ears, let him hear.
யஸ்ய ஸ்²ரோதும்’ கர்ணௌ ஸ்த: ஸ ஸ்²ரு’ணோது|
16 To what can I compare this generation? They are like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling out to others:
ஏதே வித்³யமாநஜநா: கை ர்மயோபமீயந்தே? யே பா³லகா ஹட்ட உபவிஸ்²ய ஸ்வம்’ ஸ்வம்’ ப³ந்து⁴மாஹூய வத³ந்தி,
17 ‘We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not mourn.’
வயம்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸமீபே வம்’ஸீ²ரவாத³யாம, கிந்து யூயம்’ நாந்ரு’த்யத; யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸமீபே ச வயமரோதி³ம, கிந்து யூயம்’ ந வ்யலபத, தாத்³ரு’ஸை² ர்பா³லகைஸ்த உபமாயிஷ்யந்தே|
18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon!’
யதோ யோஹந் ஆக³த்ய ந பு⁴க்தவாந் ந பீதவாம்’ஸ்²ச, தேந லோகா வத³ந்தி, ஸ பூ⁴தக்³ரஸ்த இதி|
19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look at this glutton and drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ But wisdom is vindicated by her actions.”
மநுஜஸுத ஆக³த்ய பு⁴க்தவாந் பீதவாம்’ஸ்²ச, தேந லோகா வத³ந்தி, பஸ்²யத ஏஷ போ⁴க்தா மத்³யபாதா சண்டா³லபாபிநாம்’ ப³ந்த⁴ஸ்²ச, கிந்து ஜ்ஞாநிநோ ஜ்ஞாநவ்யவஹாரம்’ நிர்தோ³ஷம்’ ஜாநந்தி|
20 Then Jesus began to denounce the cities in which most of His miracles had been performed, because they did not repent.
ஸ யத்ர யத்ர புரே ப³ஹ்வாஸ்²சர்ய்யம்’ கர்ம்ம க்ரு’தவாந், தந்நிவாஸிநாம்’ மந: பராவ்ரு’த்த்யபா⁴வாத் தாநி நக³ராணி ப்ரதி ஹந்தேத்யுக்தா கதி²தவாந்,
21 “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
ஹா கோராஸீந், ஹா பை³த்ஸைதே³, யுஷ்மந்மத்⁴யே யத்³யதா³ஸ்²சர்ய்யம்’ கர்ம்ம க்ரு’தம்’ யதி³ தத் ஸோரஸீதோ³ந்நக³ர அகாரிஷ்யத, தர்ஹி பூர்வ்வமேவ தந்நிவாஸிந: ஸா²ணவஸநே ப⁴ஸ்மநி சோபவிஸ²ந்தோ மநாம்’ஸி பராவர்த்திஷ்யந்த|
22 But I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you.
தஸ்மாத³ஹம்’ யுஷ்மாந் வதா³மி, விசாரதி³நே யுஷ்மாகம்’ த³ஸா²த: ஸோரஸீதோ³நோ ர்த³ஸா² ஸஹ்யதரா ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
23 And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted up to heaven? No, you will be brought down to Hades! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Sodom, it would have remained to this day. (Hadēs g86)
அபரஞ்ச ப³த கப²ர்நாஹூம், த்வம்’ ஸ்வர்க³ம்’ யாவது³ந்நதோஸி, கிந்து நரகே நிக்ஷேப்ஸ்யஸே, யஸ்மாத் த்வயி யாந்யாஸ்²சர்ய்யாணி கர்ம்மண்யகாரிஷத, யதி³ தாநி ஸிதோ³ம்நக³ர அகாரிஷ்யந்த, தர்ஹி தத³த்³ய யாவத³ஸ்தா²ஸ்யத்| (Hadēs g86)
24 But I tell you that it will be more bearable for Sodom on the day of judgment than for you.”
கிந்த்வஹம்’ யுஷ்மாந் வதா³மி, விசாரதி³நே தவ த³ண்ட³த: ஸிதோ³மோ த³ண்டோ³ ஸஹ்யதரோ ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
25 At that time Jesus declared, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.
ஏதஸ்மிந்நேவ ஸமயே யீஸு²: புநருவாச, ஹே ஸ்வர்க³ப்ரு’தி²வ்யோரேகாதி⁴பதே பிதஸ்த்வம்’ ஜ்ஞாநவதோ விது³ஷஸ்²ச லோகாந் ப்ரத்யேதாநி ந ப்ரகாஸ்²ய பா³லகாந் ப்ரதி ப்ரகாஸி²தவாந், இதி ஹேதோஸ்த்வாம்’ த⁴ந்யம்’ வதா³மி|
26 Yes, Father, for this was well-pleasing in Your sight.
ஹே பித: , இத்த²ம்’ ப⁴வேத் யத இத³ம்’ த்வத்³ரு’ஷ்டாவுத்தமம்’|
27 All things have been entrusted to Me by My Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him.
பித்ரா மயி ஸர்வ்வாணி ஸமர்பிதாநி, பிதரம்’ விநா கோபி புத்ரம்’ ந ஜாநாதி, யாந் ப்ரதி புத்ரேண பிதா ப்ரகாஸ்²யதே தாந் விநா புத்ராத்³ அந்ய: கோபி பிதரம்’ ந ஜாநாதி|
28 Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
ஹே பரிஸ்²ராந்தா பா⁴ராக்ராந்தாஸ்²ச லோகா யூயம்’ மத்ஸந்நிதி⁴ம் ஆக³ச்ச²த, அஹம்’ யுஷ்மாந் விஸ்²ரமயிஷ்யாமி|
29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
அஹம்’ க்ஷமணஸீ²லோ நம்ரமநாஸ்²ச, தஸ்மாத் மம யுக³ம்’ ஸ்வேஷாமுபரி தா⁴ரயத மத்த: ஸி²க்ஷத்⁴வஞ்ச, தேந யூயம்’ ஸ்வே ஸ்வே மநஸி விஸ்²ராமம்’ லப்ஸ்யத்⁴பே³|
30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
யதோ மம யுக³ம் அநாயாஸம்’ மம பா⁴ரஸ்²ச லகு⁴: |
