< Mark 12 >

1 Then Jesus began to speak to them in parables: “A man planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a wine vat, and built a watchtower. Then he rented it out to some tenants and went away on a journey.
Yesuusis akkana jedhee fakkeenyaan isaanitti dubbachuu jalqabe; “Namichi tokko iddoo dhaabaa wayinii irra wayinii dhaabbate. Innis naannoo isaatti dallaa ijaaree, boolla itti wayinii cuunfan qotee qooxii eegumsaa ijaare. Ergasiis iddoo dhaabaa wayinii sana qonnaan bultootatti kiraa kennatee biyya fagoo dhaqe.
2 At harvest time, he sent a servant to the tenants to collect his share of the fruit of the vineyard.
Innis yeroo midhaan walitti qabamutti akka inni ija iddoo dhaabaa wayinii irraa waa fiduufiif garbicha tokko qottuuwwan sanatti ergate.
3 But they seized the servant, beat him, and sent him away empty-handed.
Isaan garuu qabanii, tumanii harka duwwaa of irraa isa deebisan.
4 Then he sent them another servant, and they struck him over the head and treated him shamefully.
Ammas garbicha biraa isaanitti ergate; isaanis mataa isaa buruqsanii isa qaanessan.
5 He sent still another, and this one they killed. He sent many others; some they beat and others they killed.
Amma illee garbicha biraa ergate; isas ni ajjeesan. Garboota biraa baayʼees ergate; isaanis gartokko ni tuman; kaan immoo ni ajjeesan.
6 Finally, having one beloved son, he sent him to them. ‘They will respect my son,’ he said.
“Amma iyyuu inni nama ergu tokko qaba ture; innis ilma isaa jaallatamaa dha. Namichis, ‘Ilma koo ni kabaju’ jedhee dhuma irratti isa ergate.
7 But the tenants said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’
“Qottoonni sun garuu, ‘Dhaaltuun isa kana. Kottaa isa ajjeefnaa; dhaalli sun keenya taʼaatii’ waliin jedhan.
8 So they seized the son, killed him, and threw him out of the vineyard.
Kanaafuu isaan fuudhanii isa ajjeesan; iddoo dhaabaa wayinii keessaas gad baasanii isa gatan.
9 What then will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and kill those tenants, and will give the vineyard to others.
“Egaa abbaan iddoo dhaabaa wayinii sanaa maal godhinna laata? Inni dhufee qottuuwwan sana ni ajjeesa; iddoo dhaabaa wayinii sanas namoota biraatti kennata.
10 Have you never read this Scripture: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.
Isin Katabbii Qulqulluu hin dubbifnee? Innis akkana jedha: “‘Dhagaan ijaartonni tuffatan, dhagaa golee taʼeera;
11 This is from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?”
kanas Gooftaatu godhe; kunis ija keenyatti dinqii dha.’”
12 At this, the leaders sought to arrest Jesus, for they knew that He had spoken this parable against them. But fearing the crowd, they left Him and went away.
Isaanis akka inni isaaniin mormuudhaan fakkeenya sana dubbate waan beekaniif isa qabuu barbaadan. Garuu namoota sana sodaatan; kanaafuu isa dhiisanii qajeelan.
13 Later, they sent some of the Pharisees and Herodians to catch Jesus in His words.
Ergasii waan inni dubbatuun isa qabuuf jedhanii Fariisotaa fi garee Heroodis keessaa jara tokko Yesuusitti ergan.
14 “Teacher,” they said, “we know that You are honest and seek favor from no one. Indeed, You are impartial and teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar or not? Should we pay them or not?”
Isaanis gara isaa dhufanii akkana jedhaniin; “Yaa barsiisaa, akka ati nama dhugaa taate beekna. Ati waan fuula namaa hin ilaalleef namni kam iyyuu karaa irraa si hin jalʼisuutii; garuu ati dhugaadhaan karaa Waaqaa barsiifta. Qeesaariif gibira baasuun eeyyamameera moo hin eeyyamamne?
15 But Jesus saw through their hypocrisy and said, “Why are you testing Me? Bring Me a denarius to inspect.”
Haa baasnu moo haa dhiifnuu?” Yesuus garuu fakkeessitummaa isaanii beekee, “Isin maaliif na qortu? Mee diinaariitokko natti fidaa nan ilaalaa” jedheen.
16 So they brought it, and He asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?” “Caesar’s,” they answered.
Isaanis diinaarii tokko isatti fidan; innis, “Fakkiin kun kan eenyuu ti? Katabbiin kunis kan eenyuu ti?” jedhee isaan gaafate. Isaanis, “Kan Qeesaari” jedhanii deebisan.
17 Then Jesus told them, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.” And they marveled at Him.
Kana irratti Yesuus, “Kan Qeesaar Qeesaariif, kan Waaqaa immoo Waaqaaf kennaa” jedheen. Isaanis isa dinqifatan.
18 Then the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Jesus and questioned Him:
Ergasii Saduuqonni, duʼaa kaʼuun hin jiru jedhan gara Yesuus dhufanii akkana jedhanii gaaffii tokko isa gaafatan;
19 “Teacher, Moses wrote for us that if a man’s brother dies and leaves a wife but no children, the man is to marry his brother’s widow and raise up offspring for him.
“Yaa barsiisaa yoo obboleessi nama tokkoo niitii fuudhee utuu ijoollee hin dhalchin niitii isaa irraa duʼe, obboleessi isaa niitii sana dhaalee obboleessa isaatiif sanyii haa dhaabuu jedhee Museen nuu barreesseera.
20 Now there were seven brothers. The first one married and died, leaving no children.
Kunoo obboloota torbatu ture. Inni jalqabaa niitii fuudhee utuu ijoollee hin dhalchin duʼe.
21 Then the second one married the widow, but he also died and left no children. And the third did likewise.
Inni lammaffaanis ishee fuudhee utuu ijoollee hin dhalchin duʼe. Inni sadaffaanis akkasuma taʼe.
22 In this way, none of the seven left any children. And last of all, the woman died.
Torban isaanii iyyuu ijoollee hin dhalchine. Dhuma irratti dubartittiinis ni duute.
23 In the resurrection, then, whose wife will she be? For all seven were married to her.”
Guyyaa duʼaa kaʼuutti isheen niitii isa kamii taati? Torban isaanii iyyuu ishee fuudhaniiruutii.”
24 Jesus said to them, “Aren’t you mistaken, because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God?
Yesuus immoo akkana jedhee deebise; “Isin waan Katabbiiwwan Qulqulluu yookaan humna Waaqaa hin beekneef dogoggortu mitii?
25 When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage. Instead, they will be like the angels in heaven.
Warri duʼan yommuu duʼaa kaʼanitti akka ergamoota samii taʼu malee hin fuudhan; hin heerumanis.
26 But concerning the dead rising, have you not read about the burning bush in the Book of Moses, how God told him, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?
Waaʼee warri duʼan duʼaa kaʼuu garuu akka Waaqni Kitaaba Musee keessatti, daggala bobaʼu biratti, ‘Ani Waaqa Abrahaam, Waaqa Yisihaaqii fi Waaqa Yaaqoob’jedhee isatti dubbate isin hin dubbifnee?
27 He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are badly mistaken!”
Inni Waaqa warra jiraataniiti malee Waaqa warra duʼanii miti. Isin akka malee dogoggortaniirtu!”
28 Now one of the scribes had come up and heard their debate. Noticing how well Jesus had answered them, he asked Him, “Which commandment is the most important of all?”
Barsiistota seeraa keessaa inni tokko dhufee wal falmuu isaanii dhagaʼe. Innis akka Yesuus deebii gaarii isaaniif kenne hubatee, “Ajajni ajajawwan hunda caalu isa kami?” jedhee isa gaafate.
29 Jesus replied, “This is the most important: ‘Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One.
Yesuusis akkana jedhee deebise; “Ajajni ajajawwan hunda caalu isa kana; ‘Yaa Israaʼel dhagaʼi! Waaqayyo Gooftaan keenya Gooftaa tokkicha.
30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’
Waaqa kee Goofticha garaa kee guutuudhaan, lubbuu kee guutuudhaan, yaada kee guutuudhaan, humna kee guutuudhaan jaalladhu.’
31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.”
Inni lammaffaan immoo, isa kana; ‘Ollaa kee akkuma ofii keetiitti jaalladhu.’Ajajni ajajawwan kanneen caalu tokko iyyuu hin jiru.”
32 “Right, Teacher,” the scribe replied. “You have stated correctly that God is One and there is no other but Him,
Barsiisaan seeraa sunis akkana jedhee deebise; “Yaa barsiisaa, ati dhugaa jette; Waaqa tokkicha malee Waaqni biraa hin jiruutii.
33 and to love Him with all your heart and with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself, which is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
Garaa kee guutuudhaan, yaada kee guutuudhaan, humna kee guutuudhaan isa jaallachuun, ollaa kees akkuma ofii keetiitti jaallachuun, qalma gubamuu fi aarsaa hunda caala.”
34 When Jesus saw that the man had answered wisely, He said, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” And no one dared to question Him any further.
Yesuusis yommuu akka inni hubannaadhaan deebise argetti, “Ati mootummaa Waaqaa irraa fagoo hin jirtu” jedheen. Ergasii namni tokko iyyuu deebiʼee gaaffii isa gaafachuuf ija hin jabaanne.
35 While Jesus was teaching in the temple courts, He asked, “How can the scribes say that the Christ is the Son of David?
Yesuus utuu mana qulqullummaa keessatti barsiisaa jiruu akkana jedhee gaafate; “Barsiistonni seeraa maaliif Kiristoos ilma Daawit jedhu?
36 Speaking by the Holy Spirit, David himself declared: ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand until I put Your enemies under Your feet.”’
Daawit mataan isaa iyyuu Hafuura Qulqulluudhaan geggeeffamee akkana jedhe: “‘Gooftichi Gooftaa kootiin, “Hamma ani diinota kee, miilla kee jala siif galchutti, gara mirga koo taaʼi.”’
37 David himself calls Him ‘Lord.’ So how can He be David’s son?” And the large crowd listened to Him with delight.
Daawit mataan isaa iyyuu ‘Gooftaa’ jedhee isa waama. Yoos inni akkamitti ilma isaa taʼuu dandaʼa ree?” Tuunni guddaan sunis gammachuudhaan isa dhagaʼe.
38 In His teaching Jesus also said, “Watch out for the scribes. They like to walk around in long robes, to receive greetings in the marketplaces,
Yesuusis utuu barsiisuu akkana jedhe; “Barsiistota seeraa irraa of eeggadhaa. Isaan uffata dhedheeraa uffatanii nanaannaʼuu fi gabaa keessattis nagaa gaafatamuu jaallatu;
39 and to have the chief seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets.
manneen sagadaa keessatti taaʼumsa ulfinaa, lafa cidhaatti immoo iddoo ulfinaa jaallatu.
40 They defraud widows of their houses, and for a show make lengthy prayers. These men will receive greater condemnation.”
Isaanis mana haadha hiyyeessaa saamanii onsu; of argisiisuuf jedhaniis kadhannaa dheeressu. Namoonni kunneen adaba guddaa adabamu.”
41 As Jesus was sitting opposite the treasury, He watched the crowd putting money into it. And many rich people put in large amounts.
Yesuusis fuullee iddoo kennaan kaaʼamuu taaʼee namoota maallaqa isaanii miʼa buusii keessa buusan ilaala ture. Sooreyyiin baayʼeenis maallaqa baayʼee miʼa sana keessa buusaa turan.
42 Then one poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which amounted to a small fraction of a denarius.
Haati hiyyeessaa hiyyeettiin tokko dhuftee saantima sibiila diimaa xixinnoo lama kan gatiin isaa gara saantima tokkoo taʼe miʼa sana keessa buufte.
43 Jesus called His disciples to Him and said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more than all the others into the treasury.
Yesuusis barattoota isaa ofitti waamee akkana jedhe; “Ani dhuguman isinitti hima; haati hiyyeessaa hiyyeettiin kun warra miʼa buusii kana keessa kennaa buusan hunda caalaa buufteerti.
44 For they all contributed out of their surplus, but she out of her poverty has put in all she had to live on.”
Isaan hundi qabeenya isaanii irraa kennan; isheen garuu hiyyuma ishee keessaa waan hunda, waan ittiin jiraattu hunda kennite.”
