Mark 10
1 Then Jesus left that place and went into the region of Judea, beyond the Jordan. Again the crowds came to Him and He taught them, as was His custom.
೧ಯೇಸು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಯೂದಾಯ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಕ್ಕೂ ಯೊರ್ದನ್ ಹೊಳೆಯ ಆಚೆಯ ಸೀಮೆಗೂ ಬಂದನು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರು ತಿರುಗಿ ಗುಂಪುಗುಂಪಾಗಿ ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕೂಡಿ ಬರಲು ಆತನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಎಂದಿನಂತೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಉಪದೇಶಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
2 Some Pharisees came to test Him. “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?” they inquired.
೨ಆಗ ಫರಿಸಾಯರು ಆತನ ಹತ್ತಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಆತನನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಯೋಚನೆಯಿಂದ, “ಒಬ್ಬನು ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡುವುದು ಧರ್ಮವೋ ಹೇಗೆ” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
3 “What did Moses command you?” He replied.
೩ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನು “ಮೋಶೆಯು ನಿಮಗೆ ಏನು ಆಜ್ಞೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು?” ಎಂದನು.
4 They answered, “Moses permitted a man to write his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away.”
೪ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು, “ವಿಚ್ಛೇದನ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಬರೆದುಕೊಟ್ಟು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡಬಹುದೆಂದು ಮೋಶೆಯು ಅನುಮತಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು” ಅಂದರು.
5 But Jesus told them, “Moses wrote this commandment for you because of your hardness of heart.
೫ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಅವನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೊಂಡತನವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಇಂಥಾ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಬರೆದಿಟ್ಟನು.
6 However, from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’
೬ದೇವರಾದರೋ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯ ಮೊದಲಿನಿಂದಲೇಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಗಂಡುಹೆಣ್ಣಾಗಿ ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದನು.
7 ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife,
೭ಈ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಪುರುಷನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.
8 and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh.
೮ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರು ಒಂದೇ ಶರೀರವಾಗಿರುವರು. ಹೀಗಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಇನ್ನು ಇಬ್ಬರಲ್ಲ ಒಂದೇ ಶರೀರವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
9 Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”
೯ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ದೇವರು ಕೂಡಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಅಗಲಿಸಬಾರದು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
10 When they were back inside the house, the disciples asked Jesus about this matter.
೧೦ಅವರು ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾಗ ಆತನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಈ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ಕೇಳಿದರು.
11 So He told them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her.
೧೧ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನು, “ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬಳನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡಿದವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ;
12 And if a woman divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery.”
೧೨ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಂಡತಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಗಂಡನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ಅವಳು ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡಿದವಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾಳೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
13 Now people were bringing the little children to Jesus for Him to place His hands on them, and the disciples rebuked those who brought them.
೧೩ಬಳಿಕ ಕೆಲವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಯೇಸುವಿನಿಂದ ಮುಟ್ಟಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರತರಲು ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಿದರು.
14 But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and told them, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them! For the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
೧೪ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಅದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಹತ್ತಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಗೊಡಿಸಿರಿ; ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಿಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಇಂಥವರದೇ.
15 Truly I tell you, anyone who does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”
೧೫ನಿಮಗೆ ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಯಾರು ಶಿಶುಭಾವದಿಂದ ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ ಅವನು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
16 And He took the children in His arms, placed His hands on them, and blessed them.
೧೬ಆಗ ಆತನು ಆ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಅಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಯಿಟ್ಟು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿದನು.
17 As Jesus started on His way, a man ran up and knelt before Him. “Good Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?” (aiōnios g166)
೧೭ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಯೇಸು ಪ್ರಯಾಣವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ, ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಓಡುತ್ತಾ ಆತನ ಎದುರಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಮೊಣಕಾಲೂರಿ, “ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಬೋಧಕನೇ, ನಾನು ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾಧ್ಯಸ್ಥನಾಗಬೇಕಾದರೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು” ಆತನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು. (aiōnios g166)
18 “Why do you call Me good?” Jesus replied. “No one is good except God alone.
೧೮ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವನೆಂದು ಯಾಕೆ ಕರೆಯುತ್ತೀ? ದೇವರೊಬ್ಬನೇ ಹೊರತು ಮತ್ತಾರೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವರಲ್ಲ.
19 You know the commandments: ‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not bear false witness, do not cheat others, honor your father and mother.’”
೧೯ನರಹತ್ಯಮಾಡಬಾರದು, ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡಬಾರದು, ಕದಿಯಬಾರದು, ಸುಳ್ಳುಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹೇಳಬಾರದು. ಮೋಸಮಾಡಬಾರದು, ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂಬ ದೇವರಾಜ್ಞೆಗಳು ನಿನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿವೆಯಷ್ಟೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
20 “Teacher,” he replied, “all these I have kept from my youth.”
೨೦ಅವನು ಆತನಿಗೆ, “ಬೋಧಕನೇ, ನಾನು ಚಿಕ್ಕಂದಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಇವೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಅನುಸರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲು,
21 Jesus looked at him, loved him, and said to him, “There is one thing you lack: Go, sell everything you own and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.”
೨೧ಯೇಸು ಅವನನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿ ನೋಡಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಿನಗೆ ಒಂದು ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಹೋಗು ನಿನ್ನ ಆಸ್ತಿಪಾಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾರಿ ಬಡವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡು ಆಗ ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಸಂಪತ್ತಿರುವುದು. ಅನಂತರ ನೀನು ಬಂದು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
22 But the man was saddened by these words and went away in sorrow, because he had great wealth.
೨೨ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಬಹಳ ಆಸ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಈ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ವ್ಯಸನಗೊಂಡು ದುಃಖದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದನು.
23 Then Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!”
೨೩ಆಗ ಯೇಸುವು ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನೋಡಿ ತನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ, “ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತರು ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವುದು ತುಂಬಾ ಕಷ್ಟ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
24 And the disciples were amazed at His words. But Jesus said to them again, “Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God!
೨೪ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಆತನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಅಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟರು. ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಪುನಃ ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವುದು ಬಹಳ ಕಷ್ಟ.
25 It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
೨೫ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತನು ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಒಂಟೆಯು ಸೂಜಿಕಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನುಗ್ಗುವುದು ಸುಲಭ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
26 They were even more astonished and said to one another, “Who then can be saved?”
೨೬ಈ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಅವರು ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟು, “ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಯಾರಿಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯಾದೀತು” ಎಂದು ತಮ್ಮತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡರು.
27 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.”
೨೭ಯೇಸು ಅವರನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿ ನೋಡಿ “ಇದು ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಅಸಾಧ್ಯ; ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅಸಾಧ್ಯವಲ್ಲ. ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಸಾಧ್ಯವೇ” ಅಂದನು.
28 Peter began to say to Him, “Look, we have left everything and followed You.”
೨೮ಪೇತ್ರನು ಆತನಿಗೆ, “ಇಗೋ ನಾವು ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದನು.
29 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for My sake and for the gospel
೨೯ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು, “ನಿಮಗೆ ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಯಾರು ನನ್ನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವೂ, ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವೂ ಮನೆಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಸಹೋದರರನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಸಹೋದರಿಯರನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ತಂದೆಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಹೊಲಗದ್ದೆಗಳನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬಿಟ್ಟಿರುವನೋ,
31 But many who are first will be last, and the last will be first.”
೩೧ಆದರೆ ಬಹು ಮಂದಿ ಮೊದಲಿನವರು ಕಡೆಯವರಾಗುವರು, ಕಡೆಯವರು ಮೊದಲಿನವರಾಗುವರು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
32 As they were going up the road to Jerusalem, Jesus was walking ahead of them. The disciples were amazed, but those who followed were afraid. Again Jesus took the Twelve aside and began to tell them what was going to happen to Him:
೩೨ಅವರು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಯೇಸು ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗಿಂತ ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ನಡೆದುಹೋದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟರು. ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುವವರು ಭಯಪಟ್ಟರು. ಆಗ ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಮಂದಿ ಶಿಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಮುಂದೆ ತನಗೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸುವ ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೇಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದನು;
33 “Look, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and scribes. They will condemn Him to death and will deliver Him over to the Gentiles,
೩೩ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನೋಡಿರಿ, ನಾವು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದೇವೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮನುಷ್ಯಕುಮಾರನನ್ನು ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರ ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡುವರು. ಅವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮರಣದಂಡನೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಧಿಸಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಅನ್ಯಜನಗಳ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವರು.
34 who will mock Him and spit on Him and flog Him and kill Him. And after three days He will rise again.”
೩೪ಇವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡುವರು, ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಉಗುಳುವರು, ಆತನನ್ನು ಚಾವಟಿಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆಯುವರು, ಅನಂತರ ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕುವರು. ಆದರೆಆತನು ಮೂರು ದಿನಗಳ ನಂತರ ಜೀವಿತನಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದು ಬರುವನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
35 Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to Jesus and declared, “Teacher, we want You to do for us whatever we ask.”
೩೫ಆಗ ಜೆಬೆದಾಯನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ಯಾಕೋಬ ಮತ್ತು ಯೋಹಾನರು ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಆತನಿಗೆ, “ಗುರುವೇ, ನಾವು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದನ್ನು ನಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು” ಹೇಳಿದರು.
36 “What do you want Me to do for you?” He inquired.
೩೬ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೇನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು,
37 They answered, “Grant that one of us may sit at Your right hand and the other at Your left in Your glory.”
೩೭ಅವರು ಆತನಿಗೆ, “ನಾವು ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾಪದವಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಾಗ ಒಬ್ಬನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಲಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ನಿನ್ನ ಎಡಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ನಮಗೆ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಬೇಕು” ಅಂದರು.
38 “You do not know what you are asking,” Jesus replied. “Can you drink the cup I will drink, or be baptized with the baptism I will undergo?”
೩೮ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದು ಏನೆಂದು ನಿಮಗೇ ತಿಳಿಯದು. ನಾನು ಕುಡಿಯುವ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಡಿಯುವುದು ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದಾದೀತೆ? ನನಗಾಗುವ ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವುದು ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದಾದೀತೆ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು ಅವರು “ನಮ್ಮಿಂದಾಗುವುದು” ಅಂದರು.
39 “We can,” the brothers answered. “You will drink the cup that I drink,” Jesus said, “and you will be baptized with the baptism that I undergo.
೩೯ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ಕುಡಿಯುವ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಕುಡಿಯುವಿರಿ. ನನಗಾಗುವ ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನವು ನಿಮಗಾಗುವುದು.
40 But to sit at My right or left is not Mine to grant. These seats belong to those for whom they have been prepared.”
೪೦ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಬಲಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಾದರೂ ಎಡಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಾದರೂ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಮಾಡುವುದು ನನ್ನದಲ್ಲ; ಅದು ಯಾರಿಗೆಂದು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿದೆಯೋ ಅವರಿಗೇ ಸಿಕ್ಕುವುದು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
41 When the ten heard about this, they became indignant with James and John.
೪೧ಉಳಿದ ಹತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಯಾಕೋಬ ಯೋಹಾನರ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಿಟ್ಟಿಗೆದ್ದರು.
42 So Jesus called them together and said, “You know that those regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their superiors exercise authority over them.
೪೨ಯೇಸು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಅನ್ಯಜನಗಳ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಎನ್ನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ದೊರೆತನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಮತ್ತು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ನೀವು ಬಲ್ಲಿರಷ್ಟೆ.
43 But it shall not be this way among you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,
೪೩ಆದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗಿರಬಾರದು; ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ದೊಡ್ಡವನಾಗಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುವವನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನಾಗಬೇಕು.
44 and whoever wants to be first must be the slave of all.
೪೪ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲನೆಯವನಾಗಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುವವನು ಎಲ್ಲರ ಆಳಾಗಬೇಕು.
45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”
೪೫ಮನುಷ್ಯಕುಮಾರನು ಸಹ ಸೇವೆಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಸೇವೆಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೂಅನೇಕರನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಈಡುಕೊಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬಂದನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
46 Next, they came to Jericho. And as Jesus and His disciples were leaving Jericho with a large crowd, a blind beggar named Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, was sitting beside the road.
೪೬ತರುವಾಯ ಅವರು ಯೆರಿಕೋವಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು. ಯೇಸುವೂ ತನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರೂ ಬಹು ಜನರ ಗುಂಪಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆ ಊರಿನಿಂದ ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ತಿಮಾಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಬಾರ್ತಿಮಾಯನು ದಾರಿಯ ಬದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತಿದ್ದನು.
47 When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
೪೭ಅವನು ಒಬ್ಬ ಕುರುಡ ಭಿಕ್ಷುಕನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಈ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವವನು ನಜರೇತಿನ ಯೇಸುವೆಂದು ಅವನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಅವನು, “ಯೇಸುವೇ, ದಾವೀದನ ಕುಮಾರನೇ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸು” ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದನು.
48 Many people admonished him to be silent, but he cried out all the louder, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
೪೮ಅನೇಕರು, ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸುಮ್ಮನಿರು ಎಂದು ಗದರಿಸಲು ಅವನು, “ದಾವೀದನ ಕುಮಾರನೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸು” ಎಂದು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಕೂಗಿಕೊಂಡನು.
49 Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called the blind man. “Take courage!” they said. “Get up! He is calling for you.”
೪೯ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ನಿಂತು, “ಅವನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಿರಿ” ಅನ್ನಲು ಅವರು ಆ ಕುರುಡನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು, “ಧೈರ್ಯವಾಗಿರು, ಏಳು, ಯೇಸು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ” ಅಂದರು.
50 Throwing off his cloak, Bartimaeus jumped up and came to Jesus.
೫೦ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಹೊದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿ ತಟ್ಟನೆ ಎದ್ದು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದನು.
51 “What do you want Me to do for you?” Jesus asked. “Rabboni,” said the blind man, “let me see again.”
೫೧ಯೇಸು ಅವನನ್ನು, “ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕೋರುತ್ತೀ” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು ಆ ಕುರುಡನು, “ಗುರುವೇ, ನನಗೆ ಕಣ್ಣಿನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಬರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು” ಅಂದನು.
52 “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.
೫೨ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಹೋಗು, ನಿನ್ನ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯೇ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಗುಣಪಡಿಸಿದೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಕೂಡಲೇ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕಣ್ಣಿನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಬಂದಿತು. ಅವನು ಆ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದನು.
