Luke 24
1 On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women came to the tomb, bringing the spices they had prepared.
੧ਹਫ਼ਤੇ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਸਵੇਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਹ ਸੁਗੰਧਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ, ਲੈ ਕੇ ਕਬਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਈਆਂ।
2 They found the stone rolled away from the tomb,
੨ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਬਰ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਤੋਂ ਹਟਿਆ ਵੇਖਿਆ।
3 but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
੩ਅਤੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੀ ਲੋਥ ਨਾ ਪਾਈ।
4 While they were puzzling over this, suddenly two men in radiant apparel stood beside them.
੪ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਲਝਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ, ਤਾਂ ਵੇਖੋ, ਦੋ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਚਮਕੀਲੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਾਕ ਪਹਿਨੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਆ ਖਲੋਤੇ।
5 As the women bowed their faces to the ground in terror, the two men asked them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead?
੫ਜਦ ਉਹ ਡਰ ਗਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਝੁਕਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਉਂ ਲੱਭਦੀਆਂ ਹੋ?
6 He is not here; He has risen! Remember how He told you while He was still in Galilee:
੬ਉਹ ਐਥੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਜੀ ਉੱਠਿਆ ਹੈ। ਯਾਦ ਕਰੋ ਕਿ ਗਲੀਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ,
7 ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise again.’”
੭ਕਿ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਪੀ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਫੜਵਾਇਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਲੀਬ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਇਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਦਿਨ ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜੀ ਉੱਠਣਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਹੈ।
8 Then they remembered His words.
੮ਤਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਯਾਦ ਆਈਆਂ।
9 And when they returned from the tomb, they reported all these things to the Eleven and to all the others.
੯ਅਤੇ ਕਬਰ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਪਸ ਆ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗਿਆਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ।
10 It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them who told this to the apostles.
੧੦ਸੋ ਮਰਿਯਮ ਮਗਦਲੀਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਆਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਮਰਿਯਮ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੋਰ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੱਸੀਆਂ।
11 But their words seemed like nonsense to them, and they did not believe the women.
੧੧ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਾਣੀਆਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਮਲੂਮ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੱਚ ਨਾ ਮੰਨਿਆ।
12 Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. And after bending down and seeing only the linen cloths, he went away, wondering to himself what had happened.
੧੨ਪਰ ਪਤਰਸ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਕਬਰ ਵੱਲ ਭੱਜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਝੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਕਬਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਵੇਖਿਆ, ਪਰ ਕੇਵਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਹੀ ਵੇਖੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਅਚਰਜ਼ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
13 That same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem.
੧੩ਤਾਂ ਵੇਖੋ, ਉਸੇ ਦਿਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੋ ਜਣੇ ਇੰਮਊਸ ਨਾਮਕ ਇੱਕ ਪਿੰਡ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਤ ਮੀਲ ਦੂਰੀ ਤੇ ਹੈ।
14 They were talking with each other about everything that had happened.
੧੪ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਜੋ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਸਨ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ।
15 And as they talked and deliberated, Jesus Himself came up and walked along with them.
੧੫ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਅਤੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਆਪ ਨੇੜੇ ਆਣ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ,
16 But their eyes were kept from recognizing Him.
੧੬ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਬੰਦ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਚਾਣ ਨਾ ਸਕੇ।
17 He asked them, “What are you discussing so intently as you walk along?” They stood still, with sadness on their faces.
੧੭ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਤੁਰੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ? ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਦਾਸ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
18 One of them, named Cleopas, asked Him, “Are You the only visitor to Jerusalem who does not know the things that have happened there in recent days?”
੧੮ਤਦ ਕਲਿਉਪਸ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਭਲਾ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਇਕੱਲਾ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਓਪਰਾ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਜ-ਕੱਲ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਬੀਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ?
19 “What things?” He asked. “The events involving Jesus of Nazareth,” they answered. “This man was a prophet, powerful in speech and action before God and all the people.
੧੯ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਕਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ? ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਯਿਸੂ ਨਾਸਰੀ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਰਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਚਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਰੱਥੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਨਬੀ ਸੀ।
20 Our chief priests and rulers delivered Him up to the sentence of death, and they crucified Him.
੨੦ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਰਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਤਲ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਲੀਬ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਇਆ।
21 But we were hoping He was the One who would redeem Israel. And besides all this, it is the third day since these things took place.
੨੧ਪਰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਸ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਉਹ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਇਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਬੀਤਿਆਂ ਅੱਜ ਤਿੰਨ ਦਿਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
22 Furthermore, some of our women astounded us. They were at the tomb early this morning,
੨੨ਪਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਈਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਕਰ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਤੜਕੇ ਕਬਰ ਤੇ ਗਈਆਂ ਸਨ,
23 but they did not find His body. They came and told us they had seen a vision of angels, who said that Jesus was alive.
੨੩ਅਤੇ ਜਦ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਲੋਥ ਨਾ ਪਾਈ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਆਖਦੀਆਂ ਆਈਆਂ ਜੋ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੂਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਣ ਵੀ ਹੋਇਆ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ!
24 Then some of our companions went to the tomb and found it just as the women had described. But Him they did not see.”
੨੪ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਦਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਵੀ ਕਈ ਕਬਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਵੇਖਿਆ।
25 Then Jesus said to them, “O foolish ones, how slow are your hearts to believe all that the prophets have spoken!
੨੫ਤਦ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਹੇ ਬੇਸਮਝੋ ਅਤੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਢਿੱਲਿਉ!
26 Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and then to enter His glory?”
੨੬ਕੀ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਨਾ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਭੋਗ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੇਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰੇ?
27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He explained to them what was written in all the Scriptures about Himself.
੨੭ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਦੱਸਿਆ, ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਗ੍ਰੰਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਸਨ।
28 As they approached the village where they were headed, He seemed to be going farther.
੨੮ਉਹ ਉਸ ਪਿੰਡ ਨੇੜੇ ਆਇਆ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਣ ਨੂੰ ਕੀਤਾ।
29 But they pleaded with Him, “Stay with us, for it is nearly evening and the day is almost over.” So He went in to stay with them.
੨੯ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਹੋ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਪੈ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਦਿਨ ਢੱਲ਼ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਤਦ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿਣ ਲਈ ਅੰਦਰ ਗਿਆ।
30 While He was reclining at the table with them, He took bread, spoke a blessing and broke it, and gave it to them.
੩੦ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਭੋਜਨ ਖਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਬੈਠਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਰੋਟੀ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਬਰਕਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੋੜ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ੍ਹਾਈ।
31 Then their eyes were opened and they recognized Jesus—and He disappeared from their sight.
੩੧ਤਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹ ਗਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਚਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਅਲੋਪ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
32 They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us as He spoke with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”
੩੨ਤਦ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਣ ਲੱਗੇ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਗ੍ਰੰਥਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਦਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਸਾਡਾ ਦਿਲ ਸਾਡੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਉਬਾਲੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ?
33 And they got up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem. There they found the Eleven and those with them, gathered together
੩੩ਉਹ ਉਸੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਗਿਆਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਪਾਇਆ,
34 and saying, “The Lord has indeed risen and has appeared to Simon!”
੩੪ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸੱਚ-ਮੁੱਚ ਜੀ ਉੱਠਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੱਤਾ!
35 Then the two told what had happened on the road, and how they had recognized Jesus in the breaking of the bread.
੩੫ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ ਕੁਝ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਟੀ ਤੋੜਨ ਵੇਲੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਛਾਣਿਆਂ।
36 While they were describing these events, Jesus Himself stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.”
੩੬ਉਹ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੀ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਆਪ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਮਿਲੇ।
37 But they were startled and frightened, thinking they had seen a spirit.
੩੭ਪਰ ਉਹ ਸਹਿਮ ਕੇ ਡਰ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਸਮਝੇ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਭੂਤ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਹਾਂ।
38 “Why are you troubled,” Jesus asked, “and why do doubts arise in your hearts?
੩੮ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਘਬਰਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਮਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੱਕ ਕਿਉਂ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ?
39 Look at My hands and My feet. It is I Myself. Touch Me and see—for a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.”
੩੯ਮੇਰੇ ਹੱਥ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੈਰ ਵੇਖੋ, ਕਿ ਇਹ ਮੈਂ ਹੀ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਛੂਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖੋ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਮਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਹੋ।
40 And when He had said this, He showed them His hands and feet.
੪੦ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ-ਪੈਰ ਵਿਖਾਏ।
41 While they were still in disbelief because of their joy and amazement, He asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?”
੪੧ਤਦ ਉਹ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਕੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਕੁਝ ਭੋਜਨ ਹੈ?
42 So they gave Him a piece of broiled fish,
੪੨ਤਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਭੁੰਨੀ ਮੱਛੀ ਦਾ ਟੁੱਕੜਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
43 and He took it and ate it in front of them.
੪੩ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਖਾ ਲਿਆ।
44 Jesus said to them, “These are the words I spoke to you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms.”
੪੪ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਇਹ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਉਹੋ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਹਨ, ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਖੀਆਂ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੀ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਬੂਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਹੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
45 Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.
੪੫ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਮਝ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜੋ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਗ੍ਰੰਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਲੈਣ।
46 And He told them, “This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day,
੪੬ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੁੱਖ ਝੱਲੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਦਿਨ ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਫਿਰ ਜੀ ਉੱਠੇਗਾ।
47 and in His name repentance and forgiveness of sins will be proclaimed to all nations, beginning in Jerusalem.
੪੭ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੋਬਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਫ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਪਰਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
48 You are witnesses of these things.
੪੮ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਗਵਾਹ ਹੋ।
49 And behold, I am sending the promise of My Father upon you. But remain in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”
੪੯ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖੋ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਵਾਇਦਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਭੇਜਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਪਰ ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਵਰਗੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਨਾ ਪਾਓ ਯਰੁਸ਼ਲਮ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਠਹਿਰੇ ਰਹੋ।
50 When Jesus had led them out as far as Bethany, He lifted up His hands and blessed them.
੫੦ਯਿਸੂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਬੈਤਅਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਉੱਠਾ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਕਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
51 While He was blessing them, He left them and was carried up into heaven.
੫੧ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਕਤ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਅਲੱਗ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਠਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।
52 And they worshiped Him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy,
੫੨ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੀਸ ਨਿਵਾ ਕੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਮੁੜ ਆਏ।
53 praising God continually in the temple.
੫੩ਅਤੇ ਹੈਕਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ।
