Luke 22
1 Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread, called the Passover, was approaching,
Es nahte aber das Fest des Ungesäuerten, welches man Passa nennt,
2 and the chief priests and scribes were looking for a way to put Jesus to death; for they feared the people.
und die Hohenpriester und Schriftgelehrten sannen, wie sie ihn umbrächten; denn sie fürchteten sich vor dem Volk.
3 Then Satan entered Judas Iscariot, who was one of the Twelve.
Es fuhr aber der Satan in den Judas, der Iskariote genannt, aus der Zahl der Zwölf,
4 And Judas went to discuss with the chief priests and temple officers how he might betray Jesus to them.
und er gieng hin und beredete sich mit den Hohenpriestern und Offizieren, wie er ihn an sie ausliefern wolle,
5 They were delighted and agreed to give him money.
und sie freuten sich, und machten aus, ihm Geld zu geben.
6 Judas consented, and began to look for an opportunity to betray Jesus to them in the absence of a crowd.
Und er sagte es zu, und suchte nach guter Gelegenheit, ihn an sie auszuliefern, abseit des Volks.
7 Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb was to be sacrificed.
Es kam aber der Tag des Ungesäuerten, an welchem man das Passa opfern mußte,
8 Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare for us to eat the Passover.”
und er sandte Petrus und Johannes ab und sagte: gehet hin und richtet uns das Passamahl zu essen.
9 “Where do You want us to prepare it?” they asked.
Sie aber sagten zu ihm: wo willst du, daß wir es richten sollen?
10 He answered, “When you enter the city, a man carrying a jug of water will meet you. Follow him to the house he enters,
Er aber sagte zu ihnen: siehe, beim Eintritt in die Stadt wird euch ein Mensch begegnen, der einen Wasserkrug trägt, dem folget in das Haus in das er eintritt,
11 and say to the owner of that house, ‘The Teacher asks: Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?’
und saget dem Hausherrn im Hause: der Meister läßt dir sagen: wo ist die Herberge, wo ich das Passa mit meinen Jüngern essen möge?
12 And he will show you a large upper room, already furnished. Make preparations there.”
so wird er euch ein großes teppichbelegtes Oberzimmer zeigen: daselbst richtet es.
13 So they went and found it just as Jesus had told them. And they prepared the Passover.
Sie giengen aber hin, und fanden es wie er ihnen gesagt hatte, und richteten das Passa.
14 When the hour had come, Jesus reclined at the table with His apostles.
Und als die Stunde kam, setzte er sich nieder, und die Apostel mit ihm.
15 And He said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before My suffering.
Und er sagte zu ihnen: Mich hat es herzlich verlangt dieses Passa mit euch zu essen, bevor ich leide.
16 For I tell you that I will not eat it again until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.”
Denn ich sage euch, ich werde es nimmermehr essen, bis es in Erfüllung geht im Reiche Gottes.
17 After taking the cup, He gave thanks and said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves.
Und er nahm einen Becher, dankte und sprach: nehmet dies und verteilet es unter euch.
18 For I tell you that I will not drink of the fruit of the vine from now on until the kingdom of God comes.”
Denn ich sage euch, ich werde von jetzt an nimmermehr trinken vom Gewächse des Weinstocks, bis das Reich Gottes kommt.
19 And He took the bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body, given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
Und er nahm Brot, dankte, brach und gab es ihnen und sprach: das ist mein Leib, der für euch gegeben wird; das thut zu meinem Gedächtnis.
20 In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is poured out for you.
Und den Becher ebenso nach dem Abendessen, und sprach: dieser Becher ist der neue Bund, in meinem Blut, das für euch vergossen wird.
21 Look! The hand of My betrayer is with Mine on the table.
Doch siehe, die Hand meines Verräters ist mit mir auf dem Tisch.
22 Indeed, the Son of Man will go as it has been determined, but woe to that man who betrays Him.”
Denn der Sohn des Menschen gehet hin, wie es bestimmt ist; doch wehe dem Menschen, durch den er verraten wird.
23 Then they began to question among themselves which of them was going to do this.
Und sie fiengen an unter sich zu forschen, wer von ihnen es wohl wäre, der das thun sollte.
24 A dispute also arose among the disciples as to which of them would be considered the greatest.
Es brach aber auch eine Zänkerei unter ihnen aus darüber, wer von ihnen für den größten zu halten sei.
25 So Jesus declared, “The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those in authority over them call themselves benefactors.
Er aber sagte zu ihnen: die Könige der Völker herrschen über sie, und ihre Machthaber lassen sich gnädige Herren nennen.
26 But you shall not be like them. Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who leads like the one who serves.
Ihr aber nicht also: sondern der größte unter euch sei wie der jüngste, und der Vorsteher wie der, der aufwartet.
27 For who is greater, the one who reclines at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines? But I am among you as one who serves.
Denn wer ist mehr? der da zu Tische sitzet, oder der aufwartet? nicht: der zu Tische sitzt? ich aber bin in eurer Mitte wie der, der aufwartet.
28 You are the ones who have stood by Me in My trials.
Doch ihr seid es, die bei mir in meinen Anfechtungen ausgeharrt haben.
29 And I bestow on you a kingdom, just as My Father has bestowed one on Me,
Und ich vermache euch, wie mir mein Vater vermacht hat das Reich,
30 so that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
daß ihr essen und trinken möget an meinem Tisch in meinem Reiche, und sitzen auf Stühlen und richten die zwölf Stämme Israels.
31 Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat.
Simon, Simon, siehe der Satan hat sich ausgebeten, euch zu sichten wie den Weizen.
32 But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith will not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”
Ich aber habe für dich gebeten, daß dein Glaube nicht ausgehe; und du, wenn du dereinst dich bekehrt, stärke deine Brüder.
33 “Lord,” said Peter, “I am ready to go with You even to prison and to death.”
Er aber sagte zu ihm: Herr, mit dir bin ich bereit selbst in Gefangenschaft und Tod zu gehen.
34 But Jesus replied, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know Me.”
Er aber sagte: ich sage dir, Petrus, der Hahn wird heute nicht krähen, ehe du dreimal verleugnet hast mich zu kennen.
35 Then Jesus asked them, “When I sent you out without purse or bag or sandals, did you lack anything?” “Nothing,” they answered.
Und er sagte zu ihnen: wann ich euch aussandte ohne Beutel und Tasche und Schuhe, habt ihr Mangel an etwas gehabt? Sie aber sagten: an nichts.
36 “Now, however,” He told them, “the one with a purse should take it, and likewise a bag; and the one without a sword should sell his cloak and buy one.
Er aber sagte zu ihnen: aber jetzt, wer einen Beutel hat, nehme ihn, ebenso auch eine Tasche, und wer es nicht hat, der verkaufe seinen Mantel und kaufe ein Schwert.
37 For I tell you that this Scripture must be fulfilled in Me: ‘And He was numbered with the transgressors.’ For what is written about Me is reaching its fulfillment.”
Denn ich sage euch: es muß dies an mir erfüllt werden, was geschrieben steht, nämlich: und er ward unter die Uebelthäter gerechnet; denn was sich auf mich bezieht, geht in Erfüllung.
38 So they said, “Look, Lord, here are two swords.” “That is enough,” He answered.
Sie aber sagten: Herr, hier sind zwei Schwerter. Er aber sagte zu ihnen: es ist gut.
39 Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed Him.
Und er gieng hinaus und zog nach Gewohnheit an den Oelberg, es folgten ihm aber auch die Jünger.
40 When He came to the place, He told them, “Pray that you will not enter into temptation.”
Da er aber zur Stelle gekommen, sagte er zu ihnen: betet, daß ihr nicht in Versuchung fallet.
41 And He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, where He knelt down and prayed,
Und er selbst entfernte sich von ihnen etwa einen Steinwurf weit, beugte die Knie und betete
42 “Father, if You are willing, take this cup from Me. Yet not My will, but Yours be done.”
also: Vater: wenn du möchtest diesen Becher an mir vorüberziehen lassen! doch nicht mein, sondern dein Wille geschehe.
43 Then an angel from heaven appeared to Him and strengthened Him.
Es erschien ihm aber ein Engel vom Himmel, der ihn stärkte.
44 And in His anguish, He prayed more earnestly, and His sweat became like drops of blood falling to the ground.
Und er rang und betete lange. Und sein Schweiß fiel wie Blutstropfen auf die Erde.
45 When Jesus rose from prayer and returned to the disciples, He found them asleep, exhausted from sorrow.
Und er stand auf vom Gebete, gieng zu seinen Jüngern, und fand sie schlafend vor Betrübnis,
46 “Why are you sleeping?” He asked. “Get up and pray so that you will not enter into temptation.”
und sagte zu ihnen: was schlafet ihr? stehet auf und betet, damit ihr nicht in Versuchung fallet.
47 While He was still speaking, a crowd arrived, led by the man called Judas, one of the Twelve. He approached Jesus to kiss Him.
Da er noch sprach, siehe, da erschien eine Menge, und der eine von den Zwölf, mit Namen Judas, gieng ihnen voran, und näherte sich Jesus, ihn zu küssen.
48 But Jesus asked him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?”
Jesus aber sagte zu ihm: Judas, mit einem Kusse verrätst du den Sohn des Menschen?
49 Those around Jesus saw what was about to happen and said, “Lord, should we strike with our swords?”
Da nun seine Umgebung sah, was werden wollte, sagten sie: Herr, sollen wir mit dem Schwert zuschlagen?
50 And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his right ear.
Und einer von ihnen schlug nach dem Knecht des Hohenpriesters, und hieb ihm das rechte Ohr ab.
51 But Jesus answered, “No more of this!” And He touched the man’s ear and healed him.
Jesus aber antwortete: lasset es hiebei. Und er rührte das Ohr an und heilte ihn.
52 Then Jesus said to the chief priests, temple officers, and elders who had come for Him, “Have you come out with swords and clubs as you would against an outlaw?
Es sagte aber Jesus zu den Hohenpriestern und Tempeloffizieren und Aeltesten, die auf ihn eindrangen: wie gegen einen Räuber seid ihr ausgezogen mit Schwertern und Stöcken!
53 Every day I was with you in the temple courts, and you did not lay a hand on Me. But this hour belongs to you and to the power of darkness.”
Als ich Tag für Tag bei euch im Tempel war, habt ihr die Hand nicht gegen mich ausgestreckt. Aber dies ist eure Stunde und die Gewalt der Finsternis.
54 Then they seized Jesus, led Him away, and took Him into the house of the high priest. And Peter followed at a distance.
Da sie ihn aber gefangen genommen hatten, führten sie ihn fort, und brachten ihn in das Haus des Hohenpriesters. Petrus aber folgte von weitem.
55 When those present had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat down among them.
Da sie nun mitten im Hofe ein Feuer anzündeten und zusammen saßen, setzte sich Petrus mitten unter sie.
56 A servant girl saw him seated in the firelight and looked intently at him. “This man also was with Him,” she said.
Es sah ihn aber eine Magd gegen das Licht sitzen, blickte ihn an und sagte: der war auch mit ihm.
57 But Peter denied it. “Woman, I do not know Him,” he said.
Er aber leugnete und sprach: ich kenne ihn nicht, Weib.
58 A short time later, someone else saw him and said, “You also are one of them.” But Peter said, “Man, I am not.”
Und kurz darauf sah ihn ein anderer und sagte: du gehörst auch zu ihnen; Petrus aber sagte: Mann, ich bins nicht.
59 About an hour later, another man insisted, “Certainly this man was with Him, for he too is a Galilean.”
Und nach Verlauf von etwa einer Stunde behauptete ein anderer: in Wahrheit, auch der war mit ihm, ist er doch auch ein Galiläer.
60 “Man, I do not know what you are talking about,” Peter replied. While he was still speaking, the rooster crowed.
Petrus aber sagte: Mann, ich weiß nicht, was du meinst. Und alsbald, da er noch sprach, krähte der Hahn.
61 And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word that the Lord had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows today, you will deny Me three times.”
Und der Herr kehrte sich um, und sah den Petrus an, und Petrus gedachte des Wortes des Herrn, wie er ihm gesagt hatte: ehe der Hahn heute kräht, wirst du mich dreimal verleugnen.
62 And he went outside and wept bitterly.
Und er gieng hinaus und weinte bitterlich.
63 The men who were holding Jesus began to mock Him and beat Him.
Und die Männer die ihn festhielten verspotteten ihn, indem sie ihn schlugen
64 They blindfolded Him and kept demanding, “Prophesy! Who hit You?”
und zudeckten, und fragten: weissage, wer ists der dich schlug?
65 And they said many other blasphemous things against Him.
Und noch viele andere Lästerungen redeten sie gegen ihn.
66 At daybreak the council of the elders of the people, both the chief priests and scribes, met together. They led Jesus into their Sanhedrin and said,
Und wie es Tag geworden, trat das Presbyterium des Volkes, Hohepriester und Schriftgelehrte, zusammen, und sie führten ihn ab in ihr Synedrium,
67 “If You are the Christ, tell us.” Jesus answered, “If I tell you, you will not believe.
und sagten: wenn du der Christus bist, so sage es uns. Er aber sagte zu ihnen: wenn ich es euch sage, so glaubt ihr nicht.
68 And if I ask you a question, you will not answer.
Wenn ich aber frage, so antwortet ihr nicht.
69 But from now on the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God.”
Von nun an aber wird der Sohn des Menschen sein sitzend zur Rechten der Macht Gottes.
70 So they all asked, “Are You then the Son of God?” He replied, “You say that I am.”
Es sagten aber alle: so bist du der Sohn Gottes? Er aber sagte zu ihnen: ihr saget, daß ich es bin.
71 “Why do we need any more testimony?” they declared. “We have heard it for ourselves from His own lips.”
Sie aber sagten: was brauchen wir noch Zeugnis? Haben wir es doch selbst aus seinem Munde gehört.
