Luke 13
1 At that time some of those present told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices.
அபரஞ்ச பீலாதோ யேஷாம்’ கா³லீலீயாநாம்’ ரக்தாநி ப³லீநாம்’ ரக்தை: ஸஹாமிஸ்²ரயத் தேஷாம்’ கா³லீலீயாநாம்’ வ்ரு’த்தாந்தம்’ கதிபயஜநா உபஸ்தா²ப்ய யீஸ²வே கத²யாமாஸு: |
2 To this He replied, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered this fate?
தத: ஸ ப்ரத்யுவாச தேஷாம்’ லோகாநாம் ஏதாத்³ரு’ஸீ² து³ர்க³தி ர்க⁴டிதா தத்காரணாத்³ யூயம்’ கிமந்யேப்⁴யோ கா³லீலீயேப்⁴யோப்யதி⁴கபாபிநஸ்தாந் போ³த⁴த்⁴வே?
3 No, I tell you. But unless you repent, you too will all perish.
யுஷ்மாநஹம்’ வதா³மி ததா² ந கிந்து மந: ஸு ந பராவர்த்திதேஷு யூயமபி ததா² நம்’க்ஷ்யத²|
4 Or those eighteen who were killed when the tower of Siloam collapsed on them: Do you think that they were more sinful than all the others living in Jerusalem?
அபரஞ்ச ஸீ²லோஹநாம்ந உச்சக்³ரு’ஹஸ்ய பதநாத்³ யே(அ)ஷ்டாத³ஸ²ஜநா ம்ரு’தாஸ்தே யிரூஸா²லமி நிவாஸிஸர்வ்வலோகேப்⁴யோ(அ)தி⁴காபராதி⁴ந: கிம்’ யூயமித்யம்’ போ³த⁴த்⁴வே?
5 No, I tell you. But unless you repent, you too will all perish.”
யுஷ்மாநஹம்’ வதா³மி ததா² ந கிந்து மந: ஸு ந பரிவர்த்திதேஷு யூயமபி ததா² நம்’க்ஷ்யத²|
6 Then Jesus told this parable: “A man had a fig tree that was planted in his vineyard. He went to look for fruit on it, but did not find any.
அநந்தரம்’ ஸ இமாம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்டாந்தகதா²மகத²யத்³ ஏகோ ஜநோ த்³ராக்ஷாக்ஷேத்ரமத்⁴ய ஏகமுடு³ம்ப³ரவ்ரு’க்ஷம்’ ரோபிதவாந்| பஸ்²சாத் ஸ ஆக³த்ய தஸ்மிந் ப²லாநி க³வேஷயாமாஸ,
7 So he said to the keeper of the vineyard, ‘Look, for the past three years I have come to search for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Therefore cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?’
கிந்து ப²லாப்ராப்தே: காரணாத்³ உத்³யாநகாரம்’ ப்⁴ரு’த்யம்’ ஜகா³த³, பஸ்²ய வத்ஸரத்ரயம்’ யாவதா³க³த்ய ஏதஸ்மிந்நுடு³ம்ப³ரதரௌ க்ஷலாந்யந்விச்சா²மி, கிந்து நைகமபி ப்ரப்நோமி தருரயம்’ குதோ வ்ரு’தா² ஸ்தா²நம்’ வ்யாப்ய திஷ்ட²தி? ஏநம்’ சி²ந்தி⁴|
8 ‘Sir,’ the man replied, ‘leave it alone again this year, until I dig around it and fertilize it.
ததோ ப்⁴ரு’த்ய: ப்ரத்யுவாச, ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴ புநர்வர்ஷமேகம்’ ஸ்தா²தும் ஆதி³ஸ²; ஏதஸ்ய மூலஸ்ய சதுர்தி³க்ஷு க²நித்வாஹம் ஆலவாலம்’ ஸ்தா²பயாமி|
9 If it bears fruit next year, fine. But if not, you can cut it down.’”
தத: ப²லிதும்’ ஸ²க்நோதி யதி³ ந ப²லதி தர்ஹி பஸ்²சாத் சே²த்ஸ்யஸி|
10 One Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues,
அத² விஸ்²ராமவாரே ப⁴ஜநகே³ஹே யீஸு²ருபதி³ஸ²தி
11 and a woman there had been disabled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was hunched over and could not stand up straight.
தஸ்மித் ஸமயே பூ⁴தக்³ரஸ்தத்வாத் குப்³ஜீபூ⁴யாஷ்டாத³ஸ²வர்ஷாணி யாவத் கேநாப்யுபாயேந ரு’ஜு ர்ப⁴விதும்’ ந ஸ²க்நோதி யா து³ர்ப்³ப³லா ஸ்த்ரீ,
12 When Jesus saw her, He called her over and said, “Woman, you are set free from your disability.”
தாம்’ தத்ரோபஸ்தி²தாம்’ விலோக்ய யீஸு²ஸ்தாமாஹூய கதி²தவாந் ஹே நாரி தவ தௌ³ர்ப்³ப³ல்யாத் த்வம்’ முக்தா ப⁴வ|
13 Then He placed His hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and began to glorify God.
தத: பரம்’ தஸ்யா கா³த்ரே ஹஸ்தார்பணமாத்ராத் ஸா ரு’ஜுர்பூ⁴த்வேஸ்²வரஸ்ய த⁴ந்யவாத³ம்’ கர்த்துமாரேபே⁴|
14 But the synagogue leader was indignant that Jesus had healed on the Sabbath. “There are six days for work,” he told the crowd. “So come and be healed on those days and not on the Sabbath.”
கிந்து விஸ்²ராமவாரே யீஸு²நா தஸ்யா: ஸ்வாஸ்த்²யகரணாத்³ ப⁴ஜநகே³ஹஸ்யாதி⁴பதி: ப்ரகுப்ய லோகாந் உவாச, ஷட்ஸு தி³நேஷு லோகை: கர்ம்ம கர்த்தவ்யம்’ தஸ்மாத்³தே⁴தோ: ஸ்வாஸ்த்²யார்த²ம்’ தேஷு தி³நேஷு ஆக³ச்ச²த, விஸ்²ராமவாரே மாக³ச்ச²த|
15 “You hypocrites!” the Lord replied. “Does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or donkey from the stall and lead it to water?
ததா³ பபு⁴: ப்ரத்யுவாச ரே கபடிநோ யுஷ்மாகம் ஏகைகோ ஜநோ விஸ்²ராமவாரே ஸ்வீயம்’ ஸ்வீயம்’ வ்ரு’ஷப⁴ம்’ க³ர்த³ப⁴ம்’ வா ப³ந்த⁴நாந்மோசயித்வா ஜலம்’ பாயயிதும்’ கிம்’ ந நயதி?
16 Then should not this daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be released from her bondage on the Sabbath day?”
தர்ஹ்யாஷ்டாத³ஸ²வத்ஸராந் யாவத் ஸை²தாநா ப³த்³தா⁴ இப்³ராஹீம: ஸந்ததிரியம்’ நாரீ கிம்’ விஸ்²ராமவாரே ந மோசயிதவ்யா?
17 When Jesus said this, all His adversaries were humiliated. And the whole crowd rejoiced at all the glorious things He was doing.
ஏஷு வாக்யேஷு கதி²தேஷு தஸ்ய விபக்ஷா: ஸலஜ்ஜா ஜாதா: கிந்து தேந க்ரு’தஸர்வ்வமஹாகர்ம்மகாரணாத் லோகநிவஹ: ஸாநந்தோ³(அ)ப⁴வத்|
18 Then Jesus asked, “What is the kingdom of God like? To what can I compare it?
அநந்தரம்’ ஸோவத³த்³ ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ராஜ்யம்’ கஸ்ய ஸத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’? கேந தது³பமாஸ்யாமி?
19 It is like a mustard seed that a man tossed into his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air nested in its branches.”
யத் ஸர்ஷபபீ³ஜம்’ க்³ரு’ஹீத்வா கஸ்²சிஜ்ஜந உத்³யாந உப்தவாந் தத்³ பீ³ஜமங்குரிதம்’ ஸத் மஹாவ்ரு’க்ஷோ(அ)ஜாயத, ததஸ்தஸ்ய ஸா²கா²ஸு விஹாயஸீயவிஹகா³ ஆக³த்ய ந்யூஷு: , தத்³ராஜ்யம்’ தாத்³ரு’ஸே²ந ஸர்ஷபபீ³ஜேந துல்யம்’|
20 Again He asked, “To what can I compare the kingdom of God?
புந: கத²யாமாஸ, ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ராஜ்யம்’ கஸ்ய ஸத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ வதி³ஷ்யாமி? யத் கிண்வம்’ காசித் ஸ்த்ரீ க்³ரு’ஹீத்வா த்³ரோணத்ரயபரிமிதகோ³தூ⁴மசூர்ணேஷு ஸ்தா²பயாமாஸ,
21 It is like leaven that a woman took and mixed into three measures of flour, until all of it was leavened.”
தத: க்ரமேண தத் ஸர்வ்வகோ³தூ⁴மசூர்ணம்’ வ்யாப்நோதி, தஸ்ய கிண்வஸ்ய துல்யம் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ராஜ்யம்’|
22 Then Jesus traveled throughout the towns and villages, teaching as He made His way toward Jerusalem.
தத: ஸ யிரூஸா²லம்நக³ரம்’ ப்ரதி யாத்ராம்’ க்ரு’த்வா நக³ரே நக³ரே க்³ராமே க்³ராமே ஸமுபதி³ஸ²ந் ஜகா³ம|
23 “Lord,” someone asked Him, “will only a few people be saved?” Jesus answered,
ததா³ கஸ்²சிஜ்ஜநஸ்தம்’ பப்ரச்ச², ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴ கிம்’ கேவலம் அல்பே லோகா: பரித்ராஸ்யந்தே?
24 “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able.
தத: ஸ லோகாந் உவாச, ஸம்’கீர்ணத்³வாரேண ப்ரவேஷ்டும்’ யதக்⁴வம்’, யதோஹம்’ யுஷ்மாந் வதா³மி, ப³ஹவ: ப்ரவேஷ்டும்’ சேஷ்டிஷ்யந்தே கிந்து ந ஸ²க்ஷ்யந்தி|
25 After the master of the house gets up and shuts the door, you will stand outside knocking and saying, ‘Lord, open the door for us.’ But he will reply, ‘I do not know where you are from.’
க்³ரு’ஹபதிநோத்தா²ய த்³வாரே ருத்³தே⁴ ஸதி யதி³ யூயம்’ ப³ஹி: ஸ்தி²த்வா த்³வாரமாஹத்ய வத³த², ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴ ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴ அஸ்மத்காரணாத்³ த்³வாரம்’ மோசயது, தத: ஸ இதி ப்ரதிவக்ஷ்யதி, யூயம்’ குத்ரத்யா லோகா இத்யஹம்’ ந ஜாநாமி|
26 Then you will say, ‘We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.’
ததா³ யூயம்’ வதி³ஷ்யத², தவ ஸாக்ஷாத்³ வயம்’ பே⁴ஜநம்’ பாநஞ்ச க்ரு’தவந்த: , த்வஞ்சாஸ்மாகம்’ நக³ரஸ்ய பதி² ஸமுபதி³ஷ்டவாந்|
27 And he will answer, ‘I tell you, I do not know where you are from. Depart from me, all you evildoers.’
கிந்து ஸ வக்ஷ்யதி, யுஷ்மாநஹம்’ வதா³மி, யூயம்’ குத்ரத்யா லோகா இத்யஹம்’ ந ஜாநாமி; ஹே து³ராசாரிணோ யூயம்’ மத்தோ தூ³ரீப⁴வத|
28 There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves are thrown out.
ததா³ இப்³ராஹீமம்’ இஸ்ஹாகம்’ யாகூப³ஞ்ச ஸர்வ்வப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³நஸ்²ச ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ராஜ்யம்’ ப்ராப்தாந் ஸ்வாம்’ஸ்²ச ப³ஹிஷ்க்ரு’தாந் த்³ரு’ஷ்ட்வா யூயம்’ ரோத³நம்’ த³ந்தைர்த³ந்தக⁴ர்ஷணஞ்ச கரிஷ்யத²|
29 People will come from east and west and north and south, and will recline at the table in the kingdom of God.
அபரஞ்ச பூர்வ்வபஸ்²சிமத³க்ஷிணோத்தரதி³க்³ப்⁴யோ லோகா ஆக³த்ய ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ராஜ்யே நிவத்ஸ்யந்தி|
30 And indeed, some who are last will be first, and some who are first will be last.”
பஸ்²யதேத்த²ம்’ ஸே²ஷீயா லோகா அக்³ரா ப⁴விஷ்யந்தி, அக்³ரீயா லோகாஸ்²ச ஸே²ஷா ப⁴விஷ்யந்தி|
31 At that very hour, some Pharisees came to Jesus and told Him, “Leave this place and get away, because Herod wants to kill You.”
அபரஞ்ச தஸ்மிந் தி³நே கியந்த: பி²ரூஸி²ந ஆக³த்ய யீஸு²ம்’ ப்ரோசு: , ப³ஹிர்க³ச்ச², ஸ்தா²நாத³ஸ்மாத் ப்ரஸ்தா²நம்’ குரு, ஹேரோத்³ த்வாம்’ ஜிகா⁴ம்’ஸதி|
32 But Jesus replied, “Go tell that fox, ‘Look, I will keep driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach My goal.’
தத: ஸ ப்ரத்யவோசத் பஸ்²யதாத்³ய ஸ்²வஸ்²ச பூ⁴தாந் விஹாப்ய ரோகி³ணோ(அ)ரோகி³ண: க்ரு’த்வா த்ரு’தீயேஹ்நி ஸேத்ஸ்யாமி, கதா²மேதாம்’ யூயமித்வா தம்’ பூ⁴ரிமாயம்’ வத³த|
33 Nevertheless, I must keep going today and tomorrow and the next day, for it is not admissible for a prophet to perish outside of Jerusalem.
தத்ராப்யத்³ய ஸ்²வ: பரஸ்²வஸ்²ச மயா க³மநாக³மநே கர்த்தவ்யே, யதோ ஹேதோ ர்யிரூஸா²லமோ ப³ஹி: குத்ராபி கோபி ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதீ³ ந கா⁴நிஷ்யதே|
34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those sent to her, how often I have longed to gather your children together as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were unwilling!
ஹே யிரூஸா²லம் ஹே யிரூஸா²லம் த்வம்’ ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³நோ ஹம்’ஸி தவாந்திகே ப்ரேரிதாந் ப்ரஸ்தரைர்மாரயஸி ச, யதா² குக்குடீ நிஜபக்ஷாத⁴: ஸ்வஸா²வகாந் ஸம்’க்³ரு’ஹ்லாதி, ததா²ஹமபி தவ ஸி²ஸூ²ந் ஸம்’க்³ரஹீதும்’ கதிவாராந் ஐச்ச²ம்’ கிந்து த்வம்’ நைச்ச²: |
35 Look, your house is left to you desolate. And I tell you that you will not see Me again until you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.’”
பஸ்²யத யுஷ்மாகம்’ வாஸஸ்தா²நாநி ப்ரோச்சி²த்³யமாநாநி பரித்யக்தாநி ச ப⁴விஷ்யந்தி; யுஷ்மாநஹம்’ யதா²ர்த²ம்’ வதா³மி, ய: ப்ரபோ⁴ ர்நாம்நாக³ச்ச²தி ஸ த⁴ந்ய இதி வாசம்’ யாவத்காலம்’ ந வதி³ஷ்யத², தாவத்காலம்’ யூயம்’ மாம்’ ந த்³ரக்ஷ்யத²|
