Luke 13
1 At that time some of those present told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices.
उसी समय वहां उपस्थित कुछ लोगों ने प्रभु येशु को उन गलीलवासियों की याद दिलायी, जिनका लहू पिलातॉस ने उन्हीं के बलिदानों में मिला दिया था.
2 To this He replied, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered this fate?
प्रभु येशु ने उनसे पूछा, “क्या तुम्हारे विचार से ये गलीली अन्य गलीलवासियों की तुलना में अधिक पापी थे कि उनकी यह स्थिति हुई?
3 No, I tell you. But unless you repent, you too will all perish.
नहीं! मैं तुमसे कहता हूं कि यदि तुम मन न फिराओ तो तुम सब भी इसी प्रकार नाश हो जाओगे.
4 Or those eighteen who were killed when the tower of Siloam collapsed on them: Do you think that they were more sinful than all the others living in Jerusalem?
या वे अठारह व्यक्ति, जिन पर सीलोअम का मीनार गिरा, जिससे उनकी मृत्यु हो गई, येरूशलेम वासियों की अपेक्षा अधिक दोषी थे?
5 No, I tell you. But unless you repent, you too will all perish.”
नहीं! मैं तुमसे कहता हूं कि यदि तुम मन न फिराओ तो तुम सब भी इसी प्रकार नाश हो जाओगे.”
6 Then Jesus told this parable: “A man had a fig tree that was planted in his vineyard. He went to look for fruit on it, but did not find any.
तब प्रभु येशु ने उन्हें इस दृष्टांत के द्वारा समझाना प्रारंभ किया, “एक व्यक्ति ने अपने बगीचे में एक अंजीर का पेड़ लगाया. वह फल की आशा में उसके पास आया.
7 So he said to the keeper of the vineyard, ‘Look, for the past three years I have come to search for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Therefore cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?’
उसने माली से कहा, ‘देखो, मैं तीन वर्ष से इस पेड़ में फल की आशा लिए आ रहा हूं और मुझे अब तक कोई फल प्राप्त नहीं हुआ. काट डालो इसे! भला क्यों इसके कारण भूमि व्यर्थ ही घिरी रहे?’
8 ‘Sir,’ the man replied, ‘leave it alone again this year, until I dig around it and fertilize it.
“किंतु माली ने स्वामी से कहा, ‘स्वामी, इसे इस वर्ष और रहने दीजिए. मैं इसके आस-पास की भूमि खोदकर इसमें खाद डाल देता हूं.
9 If it bears fruit next year, fine. But if not, you can cut it down.’”
यदि अगले वर्ष यह फल लाए तो अच्छा है, नहीं तो इसे कटवा दीजिएगा.’”
10 One Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues,
शब्बाथ पर प्रभु येशु यहूदी सभागृह में शिक्षा दे रहे थे.
11 and a woman there had been disabled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was hunched over and could not stand up straight.
वहां एक ऐसी स्त्री थी, जिसे एक दुष्टात्मा ने अठारह वर्ष से अपंग किया हुआ था. जिसके कारण उसका शरीर झुककर दोहरा हो गया था और उसके लिए सीधा खड़ा होना असंभव हो गया था.
12 When Jesus saw her, He called her over and said, “Woman, you are set free from your disability.”
जब प्रभु येशु की दृष्टि उस पर पड़ी, उन्होंने उसे अपने पास बुलाया और उससे कहा, “हे नारी, तुम अपने इस रोग से मुक्त हो गई हो,”
13 Then He placed His hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and began to glorify God.
यह कहते हुए प्रभु येशु ने उस पर अपने हाथ रखे और उसी क्षण वह सीधी खड़ी हो गई और परमेश्वर का धन्यवाद करने लगी.
14 But the synagogue leader was indignant that Jesus had healed on the Sabbath. “There are six days for work,” he told the crowd. “So come and be healed on those days and not on the Sabbath.”
किंतु यहूदी सभागृह प्रधान इस पर अत्यंत रुष्ट हो गया क्योंकि प्रभु येशु ने उसे शब्बाथ पर स्वस्थ किया था. सभागृह प्रधान ने वहां इकट्ठा लोगों से कहा, “काम करने के लिए छः दिन निर्धारित किए गए हैं इसलिये इन छः दिनों में आकर अपना स्वास्थ्य प्राप्त करो, न कि शब्बाथ पर.”
15 “You hypocrites!” the Lord replied. “Does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or donkey from the stall and lead it to water?
किंतु प्रभु ने इसके उत्तर में कहा, “पाखंडियों! क्या शब्बाथ पर तुममें से हर एक अपने बैल या गधे को पशुशाला से खोलकर पानी पिलाने नहीं ले जाता?
16 Then should not this daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be released from her bondage on the Sabbath day?”
और क्या इस स्त्री को, जो अब्राहाम ही की संतान है, जिसे शैतान ने अठारह वर्ष से बांध रखा था, शब्बाथ पर इस बंधन से मुक्त किया जाना उचित न था?”
17 When Jesus said this, all His adversaries were humiliated. And the whole crowd rejoiced at all the glorious things He was doing.
प्रभु येशु के ये शब्द सुन उनके सभी विरोधी लज्जित हो गए. सारी भीड़ प्रभु येशु द्वारा किए जा रहे इन महान कामों को देख आनंदित थी.
18 Then Jesus asked, “What is the kingdom of God like? To what can I compare it?
इसलिये प्रभु येशु ने उनसे कहना प्रारंभ किया, “परमेश्वर का राज्य कैसा होगा? मैं इसकी तुलना किससे करूं?
19 It is like a mustard seed that a man tossed into his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air nested in its branches.”
परमेश्वर का राज्य राई के बीज के समान है, जिसे किसी व्यक्ति ने अपनी वाटिका में बोया, और उसने विकसित होते हुए पेड़ का रूप ले लिया—यहां तक कि आकाश के पक्षी भी आकर उसकी शाखाओं पर बसेरा करने लगे.”
20 Again He asked, “To what can I compare the kingdom of God?
प्रभु येशु ने दोबारा कहा, “परमेश्वर के राज्य की तुलना मैं किससे करूं?
21 It is like leaven that a woman took and mixed into three measures of flour, until all of it was leavened.”
परमेश्वर का राज्य खमीर के समान है, जिसे एक स्त्री ने तीन माप आटे में मिलाया और सारा आटा ही खमीर युक्त हो गया.”
22 Then Jesus traveled throughout the towns and villages, teaching as He made His way toward Jerusalem.
नगर-नगर और गांव-गांव होते हुए और मार्ग में शिक्षा देते हुए प्रभु येशु येरूशलेम नगर की ओर बढ़ रहे थे.
23 “Lord,” someone asked Him, “will only a few people be saved?” Jesus answered,
किसी ने उनसे प्रश्न किया, “प्रभु, क्या मात्र कुछ ही लोग उद्धार प्राप्त कर सकेंगे?” प्रभु येशु ने उन्हें उत्तर दिया,
24 “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able.
“तुम्हारी कोशिश यह हो कि तुम संकरे द्वार से प्रवेश करो क्योंकि मैं तुम्हें बता रहा हूं कि अनेक इसमें प्रवेश तो चाहेंगे किंतु प्रवेश करने में असमर्थ रहेंगे.
25 After the master of the house gets up and shuts the door, you will stand outside knocking and saying, ‘Lord, open the door for us.’ But he will reply, ‘I do not know where you are from.’
एक बार जब घर का स्वामी द्वार बंद कर दे तो तुम बाहर खड़े, द्वार खटखटाते हुए विनती करते रह जाओगे: ‘महोदय, कृपया हमारे लिए द्वार खोल दें.’ “किंतु वह उत्तर देगा, ‘तुम कौन हो और कहां से आए हो मैं नहीं जानता.’
26 Then you will say, ‘We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.’
“तब तुम कहोगे, ‘हम आपके साथ खाया पिया करते थे और आप हमारी गलियों में शिक्षा दिया करते थे.’
27 And he will answer, ‘I tell you, I do not know where you are from. Depart from me, all you evildoers.’
“परंतु उसका उत्तर होगा, ‘मैं तुमसे कह चुका हूं तुम कौन हो, मैं नहीं जानता. चले जाओ यहां से! तुम सब कुकर्मी हो!’
28 There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves are thrown out.
“जब तुम परमेश्वर के राज्य में अब्राहाम, यित्सहाक, याकोब तथा सभी भविष्यद्वक्ताओं को देखोगे और स्वयं तुम्हें बाहर फेंक दिया जाएगा, वहां रोना और दांतों का पीसना ही होगा.
29 People will come from east and west and north and south, and will recline at the table in the kingdom of God.
चारों दिशाओं से लोग आकर परमेश्वर के राज्य के उत्सव में शामिल होंगे
30 And indeed, some who are last will be first, and some who are first will be last.”
और सच्चाई यह है कि जो अंतिम हैं वे पहले होंगे तथा जो पहले वे अंतिम.”
31 At that very hour, some Pharisees came to Jesus and told Him, “Leave this place and get away, because Herod wants to kill You.”
उसी समय कुछ फ़रीसियों ने उनके पास आकर उनसे कहा, “यहां से चले जाओ क्योंकि हेरोदेस तुम्हारी हत्या कर देना चाहता है.”
32 But Jesus replied, “Go tell that fox, ‘Look, I will keep driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach My goal.’
प्रभु येशु ने उन्हें उत्तर दिया, “जाकर उस लोमड़ी से कहो, ‘मैं आज और कल दुष्टात्माओं को निकालूंगा और लोगों को चंगा करूंगा और तीसरे दिन मैं अपने लक्ष्य पर पहुंच जाऊंगा.’
33 Nevertheless, I must keep going today and tomorrow and the next day, for it is not admissible for a prophet to perish outside of Jerusalem.
फिर भी यह ज़रूरी है कि मैं आज, कल और परसों यात्रा करूं क्योंकि यह हो ही नहीं सकता कि किसी भविष्यवक्ता की हत्या येरूशलेम नगर के बाहर हो.
34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those sent to her, how often I have longed to gather your children together as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were unwilling!
“येरूशलेम! ओ येरूशलेम! तू भविष्यद्वक्ताओं की हत्या करता तथा उनका पथराव करता है, जिन्हें तेरे लिए भेजा जाता है. कितनी बार मैंने यह प्रयास किया कि तेरी संतान को इकट्ठा कर एकजुट करूं, जैसे मुर्गी अपने चूज़ों को अपने पंखों के नीचे इकट्ठा करती है किंतु तूने न चाहा.
35 Look, your house is left to you desolate. And I tell you that you will not see Me again until you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.’”
इसलिये अब यह समझ ले कि तेरा घर तेरे लिए उजाड़ छोड़ा जा रहा है. मैं तुझे बताए देता हूं कि इसके बाद तू मुझे तब तक नहीं देखेगा जब तक तू यह नारा न लगाए. ‘धन्य है वह, जो प्रभु के नाम में आ रहा है!’”
