Leviticus 23
1 Then the LORD said to Moses,
Le Seigneur parla encore à Moïse, disant:
2 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them, ‘These are My appointed feasts, the feasts of the LORD that you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies.
Parle aux enfants d’Israël, et tu leur diras: Voici les fêtes du Seigneur que vous appellerez saintes.
3 For six days work may be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of complete rest, a day of sacred assembly. You must not do any work; wherever you live, it is a Sabbath to the LORD.
Pendant six jours vous travaillerez; le septième jour, parce qu’il est le repos du sabbat, sera appelé saint: vous ne ferez aucun ouvrage en ce jour. C’est le sabbat du Seigneur dans toutes vos habitations.
4 These are the LORD’s appointed feasts, the sacred assemblies you are to proclaim at their appointed times.
Voici donc les fêtes saintes du Seigneur que vous devez célébrer en leurs temps.
5 The Passover to the LORD begins at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month.
Au premier mois, au quatorzième jour du mois vers le soir, est la Pâque du Seigneur;
6 On the fifteenth day of the same month begins the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the LORD. For seven days you must eat unleavened bread.
Et au quinzième jour de ce mois est la solennité des azymes du Seigneur. Pendant sept jours vous mangerez des azymes.
7 On the first day you are to hold a sacred assembly; you are not to do any regular work.
Le premier jour sera pour vous très solennel et saint; vous ne ferez aucune oeuvre servile en ce jour;
8 For seven days you are to present an offering made by fire to the LORD. On the seventh day there shall be a sacred assembly; you must not do any regular work.’”
Mais vous offrirez un sacrifice avec du feu au Seigneur pendant sept jours; mais le septième jour sera plus solennel et plus saint; et vous ne ferez aucune œuvre servile en ce jour.
9 And the LORD said to Moses,
Le Seigneur parla encore à Moïse, disant:
10 “Speak to the Israelites and say, ‘When you enter the land that I am giving you and you reap its harvest, you are to bring to the priest a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest.
Parle aux enfants d’Israël, et tu leur diras: Lorsque vous entrerez dans la terre que je vous donnerai moi-même, et que vous aurez moissonné le blé, vous apporterez des gerbes d’épis, prémices de votre moisson, au prêtre,
11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD so that it may be accepted on your behalf; the priest is to wave it on the day after the Sabbath.
Qui élèvera la botte devant le Seigneur, le second jour du sabbat, afin qu’elle soit acceptable en votre faveur, et il la sanctifiera.
12 On the day you wave the sheaf, you shall offer a year-old lamb without blemish as a burnt offering to the LORD,
Et au même jour que la gerbe sera consacrée, un agneau sans tache, d’un an, sera immolé pour l’holocauste du Seigneur.
13 along with its grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil—an offering made by fire to the LORD, a pleasing aroma—and its drink offering of a quarter hin of wine.
Et seront offertes avec lui les libations: deux décimes de fleur de farine arrosée d’huile pour l’holocauste du Seigneur, et en odeur très suave; et aussi les libations de vin, la quatrième partie du hin.
14 You must not eat any bread or roasted or new grain until the very day you have brought this offering to your God. This is to be a permanent statute for the generations to come, wherever you live.
Vous ne mangerez ni pain, ni farine desséchée, ni bouillie provenant du blé, jusqu’au jour que vous en offrirez à votre Dieu. C’est un précepte perpétuel en toutes vos générations et en toutes vos habitations.
15 From the day after the Sabbath, the day you brought the sheaf of the wave offering, you are to count off seven full weeks.
Vous compterez donc depuis le second jour du sabbat dans lequel vous aurez offert la gerbe des prémices, sept semaines pleines,
16 You shall count off fifty days until the day after the seventh Sabbath, and then present an offering of new grain to the LORD.
Jusqu’au jour d’après la fin de la septième semaine, c’est-à-dire, cinquante jours; et c’est ainsi que vous offrirez un sacrifice nouveau au Seigneur,
17 Bring two loaves of bread from your dwellings as a wave offering, each made from two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour, baked with leaven, as the firstfruits to the LORD.
De toutes vos habitations, deux pains de prémices de deux décimes de fleur de farine fermentée, que vous cuirez pour les prémices du Seigneur;
18 Along with the bread you are to present seven unblemished male lambs a year old, one young bull, and two rams. They will be a burnt offering to the LORD, together with their grain offerings and drink offerings—an offering made by fire, a pleasing aroma to the LORD.
Et vous offrirez avec les pains sept agneaux sans tache d’un an, et un veau pris du troupeau de gros bétail, et deux béliers, et ils seront avec leurs libations pour un holocauste, en odeur suave pour le Seigneur.
19 You shall also prepare one male goat as a sin offering and two male lambs a year old as a peace offering.
Vous sacrifierez aussi un bouc pour le péché et deux agneaux d’un an, hosties de sacrifices pacifiques.
20 The priest is to wave the lambs as a wave offering before the LORD, together with the bread of the firstfruits. The bread and the two lambs shall be holy to the LORD for the priest.
Et lorsque le prêtre les aura élevés avec les pains des prémices devant le Seigneur, ils deviendront à son usage.
21 On that same day you are to proclaim a sacred assembly, and you must not do any regular work. This is to be a permanent statute wherever you live for the generations to come.
Et vous appellerez ce jour très solennel et très saint; vous ne ferez aucune œuvre servile en ce jour. Ce sera une loi éternelle en toutes vos habitations et en toutes vos générations.
22 When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap all the way to the edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. Leave them for the poor and the foreign resident. I am the LORD your God.’”
Quand vous moissonnerez le blé de votre terre, vous ne le couperez pas jusqu’au sol, et vous ne ramasserez point les épis restants, mais vous les laisserez pour les pauvres et les étrangers. C’est moi qui suis le Seigneur votre Dieu.
23 The LORD also said to Moses,
Le Seigneur parla encore à Moïse, disant:
24 “Speak to the Israelites and say, ‘On the first day of the seventh month you are to have a day of rest, a sacred assembly announced by trumpet blasts.
Dis aux enfants d’Israël: Au septième mois, au premier jour du mois, sera pour vous un sabbat, un souvenir, les trompettes sonnant; et il sera appelé saint.
25 You must not do any regular work, but you are to present an offering made by fire to the LORD.’”
Vous ne ferez aucune œuvre servile en ce jour, et vous offrirez un holocauste au Seigneur.
26 Again the LORD said to Moses,
Le Seigneur parla encore à Moïse, disant:
27 “The tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. You shall hold a sacred assembly and humble yourselves, and present an offering made by fire to the LORD.
Au dixième jour de ce septième mois, sera le jour très très solennel des expiations, et il sera appelé saint; or, vous affligerez vos âmes en ce jour, et vous offrirez un holocauste au Seigneur.
28 On this day you are not to do any work, for it is the Day of Atonement, when atonement is made for you before the LORD your God.
Vous ne ferez aucune œuvre servile pendant tout ce jour, parce que c’est un jour de propitiation, afin que le Seigneur votre Dieu vous devienne propice.
29 If anyone does not humble himself on this day, he must be cut off from his people.
Tout homme qui ne sera point affligé en ce jour-là périra du milieu de ses peuples;
30 I will destroy from among his people anyone who does any work on this day.
Et celui qui fera quelque œuvre que ce soit, je le retrancherai du milieu de son peuple.
31 You are not to do any work at all. This is a permanent statute for the generations to come, wherever you live.
Vous ne ferez donc aucune œuvre en ce jour; ce sera une loi perpétuelle pour vous en toutes vos générations et en toutes vos habitations.
32 It will be a Sabbath of complete rest for you, and you shall humble yourselves. From the evening of the ninth day of the month until the following evening you are to keep your Sabbath.”
C’est un sabbat de repos, et vous affligerez vos âmes au neuvième jour du mois: c’est depuis un soir jusqu’à un soir que vous célébrerez vos sabbats.
33 And the LORD said to Moses,
Le Seigneur parla encore à Moïse, disant:
34 “Speak to the Israelites and say, ‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh month the Feast of Tabernacles to the LORD begins, and it continues for seven days.
Dis aux enfants d’Israël: Depuis le quinzième jour de ce septième mois, seront les fêtes des Tabernacles pendant sept jours en l’honneur du Seigneur.
35 On the first day there shall be a sacred assembly. You must not do any regular work.
Le premier jour sera appelé très solennel et très saint: vous ne ferez aucune œuvre servile en ce jour.
36 For seven days you are to present an offering made by fire to the LORD. On the eighth day you are to hold a sacred assembly and present an offering made by fire to the LORD. It is a solemn assembly; you must not do any regular work.
Et pendant sept jours vous offrirez des holocaustes au Seigneur: le huitième jour aussi sera très solennel et très saint, et vous offrirez un holocauste au! Seigneur; car c’est une assemblée et des réunions: vous ne ferez aucune œuvre servile en ce jour.
37 These are the LORD’s appointed feasts, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies for presenting offerings by fire to the LORD—burnt offerings and grain offerings, sacrifices and drink offerings, each on its designated day.
Ce sont là les fêtes du Seigneur que vous appellerez très solennelles et très saintes, et vous y offrirez des oblations au Seigneur, des holocaustes et des libations selon le rite de chaque jour;
38 These offerings are in addition to the offerings for the LORD’s Sabbaths, and in addition to your gifts, to all your vow offerings, and to all the freewill offerings you give to the LORD.
Outre le sabbat du Seigneur, et vos dons et les choses que vous offrirez en vertu d’un vœu, ou que vous donnerez spontanément au Seigneur.
39 On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, after you have gathered the produce of the land, you are to celebrate a feast to the LORD for seven days. There shall be complete rest on the first day and also on the eighth day.
Depuis donc le quinzième jour du septième mois, quand vous aurez rassemblé tous les fruits de votre terre, vous célébrerez les fêtes du Seigneur pendant sept jours; au premier et au huitième jour sera un sabbat, c’est-à-dire un repos.
40 On the first day you are to gather the fruit of majestic trees, the branches of palm trees, and the boughs of leafy trees and of willows of the brook. And you are to rejoice before the LORD your God for seven days.
Or, au premier jour vous prendrez des fruits de l’arbre le plus beau, des petites spathes de palmiers, des rameaux d’un arbre au feuillage épais et des saules du torrent, et vous vous réjouirez devant le Seigneur votre Dieu:
41 You are to celebrate this as a feast to the LORD for seven days each year. This is a permanent statute for the generations to come; you are to celebrate it in the seventh month.
Et vous célébrerez sa solennité pendant sept jours par an: ce sera une loi perpétuelle en vos générations. Au septième mois vous célébrerez ces fêtes,
42 You are to dwell in booths for seven days. All the native-born of Israel must dwell in booths,
Et vous habiterez sous les ombrages pendant sept jours. Quiconque est de la race d’Israël demeurera sous les tentes;
43 so that your descendants may know that I made the Israelites dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt. I am the LORD your God.’”
Afin que vos descendants apprennent que c’est sous les tentes que j’ai fait habiter les enfants d’Israël, lorsque je les retirai de la terre d’Egypte. Je suis le Seigneur votre Dieu.
44 So Moses announced to the Israelites the appointed feasts of the LORD.
C’est ainsi que Moïse parla sur les solennités du Seigneur aux enfants d’Israël.
