Joshua 21
1 Now the family heads of the Levites approached Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the heads of the other tribes of Israel
तब लेवी कुलका मुखियाहरू, पुजारी एलाजार, नूनका छोरा यहोशू र इस्राएलका अरू कुलका मुखियाहरूकहाँ आए।
2 at Shiloh in the land of Canaan and said to them, “The LORD commanded through Moses that we be given cities in which to live, together with pasturelands for our livestock.”
अनि तिनीहरूले कनान देशको शीलोमा तिनीहरूलाई भने, “याहवेहले तपाईंलाई मोशाद्वारा हामीलाई हाम्रा गाईबस्तुका निम्ति खर्कसहितको बस्ने सहरहरू दिनू भनी आज्ञा गर्नुभयो।”
3 So by the command of the LORD, the Israelites gave the Levites these cities and their pasturelands out of their own inheritance:
यसकारण याहवेहले आज्ञा गर्नुभएझैँ, इस्राएलीहरूले तिनीहरूका आफ्नै उत्तराधिकारको भागबाट लेवीहरूलाई यी सहरहरू र खर्कहरू दिए:
4 The first lot came out for the Kohathite clans. The Levites who were descendants of Aaron the priest received thirteen cities by lot from the tribes of Judah, Simeon, and Benjamin.
पहिलो चिट्ठा वंशअनुसार कहातीहरूका निम्ति निस्क्यो। हारून पुजारीका सन्तान लेवीहरूलाई यहूदा, शिमियोन र बेन्यामीनका कुलहरूबाट तेह्र वटा सहरहरू भाग लगाइयो।
5 The remaining descendants of Kohath received ten cities by lot from the tribes of Ephraim, Dan, and the half-tribe of Manasseh.
कहातका बाँकी रहेका सन्तानहरूलाई एफ्राइम, दान र मनश्शेको आधा कुलहरूका वंशहरूबाट दश वटा सहरहरू भाग लगाइयो।
6 The descendants of Gershon received thirteen cities by lot from the tribes of Issachar, Asher, Naphtali, and the half-tribe of Manasseh in Bashan.
गेर्शोनका सन्तानहरूलाई इस्साखार, आशेर, नप्ताली र बाशानमा भएको मनश्शेको आधा कुलहरूका वंशहरूबाट तेह्र वटा सहरहरू भाग लगाइयो।
7 And the descendants of Merari received twelve cities from the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and Zebulun.
मरारीका सन्तानहरूले वंशअनुसार रूबेन, गाद र जबूलूनका कुलहरूबाट बाह्र वटा सहरहरू पाए।
8 So the Israelites allotted to the Levites these cities, together with their pasturelands, as the LORD had commanded through Moses.
यसरी याहवेहले मोशाद्वारा आज्ञा गर्नुभएझैँ इस्राएलीहरूले लेवीहरूलाई यी सहरहरू र तिनीहरूका खर्कहरू दिए।
9 From the tribes of Judah and Simeon, they designated these cities by name
तिनीहरूले यहूदा र शिमियोनका कुलहरूबाट भाग लगाइएका सहरहरू यिनै हुन्।
10 to the descendants of Aaron from the Kohathite clans of the Levites, because the first lot fell to them:
यी सहरहरू हारूनका सन्तानहरूलाई दिइयो, जो लेवीका वंशका कहाती थिए। किनकि पहिलो चिट्ठा तिनीहरूको नाममा परेको थियो:
11 They gave them Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron), with its surrounding pasturelands, in the hill country of Judah. (Arba was the father of Anak.)
तिनीहरूले उनीहरूलाई किर्यत-अर्बा (अर्थात्, हेब्रोन) लाई यहूदामा भएको पहाडी मुलुकबाट चारैतिरका खर्कहरूसमेत दिए। (अर्बा अनाकका पुर्खा थिए।)
12 But they had given the fields and villages around the city to Caleb son of Jephunneh as his possession.
तर त्यस सहरका खेतहरू र गाउँहरूचाहिँ तिनीहरूले यपून्नेका छोरा कालेबलाई तिनको पैतृक सम्पत्तिको रूपमा दिएका थिए।
13 So to the descendants of Aaron the priest they gave these cities, together with their pasturelands: Hebron, a city of refuge for the manslayer, Libnah,
यसकारण पुजारी हारूनका सन्तानहरूलाई तिनीहरूले हेब्रोन (हत्याको अभियोग लागेको व्यक्तिको लागि शरण-नगर) लिब्ना,
14 Jattir, Eshtemoa,
यत्तीर, एश्तमो,
15 Holon, Debir,
होलोन, दबीर,
16 Ain, Juttah, and Beth-shemesh—nine cities from these two tribes, together with their pasturelands.
ऐन, युत्ता र बेथ-शेमेश, तिनीहरूका खर्कहरूसमेत यी दुई कुलहरूबाट नौ वटा सहरहरू दिइएको थियो।
17 And from the tribe of Benjamin they gave them Gibeon, Geba,
अनि बेन्यामीनको कुलबाट तिनीहरूले उनीहरूलाई यी सहरहरू दिए: गिबोन, गेबा,
18 Anathoth, and Almon—four cities, together with their pasturelands.
अनातोत र अल्मोन, तिनीहरूका खर्कहरूसमेत, चार वटा सहरहरू दिइएको थियो।
19 In all, thirteen cities, together with their pasturelands, were given to the priests, the descendants of Aaron.
हारूनका सन्तान, पुजारीहरूका निम्ति जम्मा तेह्र वटा तिनीहरूका खर्कहरूसमेत सहरहरू थिए।
20 The remaining Kohathite clans of the Levites were allotted these cities: From the tribe of Ephraim
बाँकी रहेका लेवीहरूका कहाती वंशहरूलाई एफ्राइमको कुलबाट सहरहरू दिइएको थियो:
21 they were given Shechem in the hill country of Ephraim (a city of refuge for the manslayer), Gezer,
एफ्राइमको पहाडी मुलुकमा तिनीहरूलाई यी सहरहरू दिइएको थियो: शेकेम (हत्याको अभियोग लागेको व्यक्तिका निम्ति शरण-नगर), गेजेर,
22 Kibzaim, and Beth-horon—four cities, together with their pasturelands.
किब्सैम र बेथ-होरोन, तिनीहरूका खर्कहरूसमेत चार वटा सहरहरू दिइएको थियो।
23 From the tribe of Dan they were given Elteke, Gibbethon,
दानको कुलबाट पनि तिनीहरूले यी सहरहरू पाए: एल्तके, गिब्बतोन,
24 Aijalon, and Gath-rimmon—four cities, together with their pasturelands.
अय्यालोन र गात-रिम्मोन, तिनीहरूका खर्कहरूसमेत चार वटा सहरहरू पाए।
25 And from the half-tribe of Manasseh they were given Taanach and Gath-rimmon—two cities, together with their pasturelands.
मनश्शेको आधा कुलबाट तिनीहरूले यी सहरहरू पाए: तानाक र गात-रिम्मोन, तिनीहरूका खर्कहरूसँगै दुई वटा सहरहरू पाए।
26 In all, ten cities, together with their pasturelands, were given to the rest of the Kohathite clans.
यी सबै दश सहरहरू र तिनीहरूका खर्कहरू कहाती वंशका बाँकी रहेकाहरूलाई दिइएको थियो।
27 This is what the Levite clans of the Gershonites were given: From the half-tribe of Manasseh they were given Golan in Bashan, a city of refuge for the manslayer, and Beeshterah—two cities, together with their pasturelands.
लेवी वंशका गेर्शोनीहरूलाई यी सहरहरू दिइएको थियो: मनश्शेको आधा कुलहरूबाट: बाशानमा भएको गोलान (हत्याको अभियोग लागेको व्यक्तिका निम्ति शरण-नगर) र बेएश्तरा, तिनीहरूका खर्कहरूसमेत दुई वटा सहरहरू दिइएको थियो।
28 From the tribe of Issachar they were given Kishion, Daberath,
इस्साखारको कुलबाट: किश्योन, दाबरत,
29 Jarmuth, and En-gannim—four cities, together with their pasturelands.
यर्मूत र एन-गन्नीम, तिनीहरूका खर्कहरूसमेत चार वटा सहरहरू दिइएको थियो।
30 From the tribe of Asher they were given Mishal, Abdon,
आशेरको कुलबाट: मिशाल, अब्दोन,
31 Helkath, and Rehob—four cities, together with their pasturelands.
हेल्कत र रहोब, तिनीहरूका खर्कहरूसमेत चार वटा सहरहरू थिए।
32 And from the tribe of Naphtali they were given Kedesh in Galilee (a city of refuge for the manslayer), Hammoth-dor, and Kartan—three cities, together with their pasturelands.
नप्तालीको कुलबाट: गालीलमा भएको केदेश (हत्याको अभियोग लागेको व्यक्तिका निम्ति शरण-नगर) हम्मोत-डोर र कर्तान, तिनीहरूका खर्कहरूसमेत तीन वटा सहरहरू थिए।
33 In all, thirteen cities, together with their pasturelands, were given to the Gershonite clans.
गेर्शोनी वंशका सहरहरू, तिनीहरूका खर्कहरूसमेत जम्मा तेह्र वटा थिए।
34 This is what the Merarite clan (the rest of the Levites) were given: From the tribe of Zebulun they were given Jokneam, Kartah,
मरारी वंशकाहरू, जो लेवीहरूका बाँकी रहेकाहरू थिए। तिनीहरूलाई यी सहरहरू दिइएको थियो: जबूलूनको कुलबाट: योक्नाम, कर्तह,
35 Dimnah, and Nahalal—four cities, together with their pasturelands.
दिम्ना र नहलल, तिनीहरूका खर्कहरूसमेत चार वटा सहरहरू थिए;
36 From the tribe of Reuben they were given Bezer, Jahaz,
रूबेनको कुलबाट: बेसेर, यहसा,
37 Kedemoth, and Mephaath—four cities, together with their pasturelands.
कदेमोत र मेपात, तिनीहरूका खर्कहरूसमेत चार वटा सहरहरू थिए।
38 And from the tribe of Gad they were given Ramoth in Gilead, a city of refuge for the manslayer, Mahanaim,
गादको कुलबाट: गिलादको रामोत (हत्याको अभियोग लागेको व्यक्तिका निम्ति शरण-नगर), महनाइम,
39 Heshbon, and Jazer—four cities in all, together with their pasturelands.
हेश्बोन र याजेर, तिनीहरूका खर्कहरूसमेत जम्मा चार वटा सहरहरू थिए।
40 In all, twelve cities were allotted to the clans of Merari, the remaining Levite clans.
लेवीहरूका बाँकी रहेका सबै मरारी वंशलाई दिइएका सहरहरू जम्मा बाह्र वटा थिए।
41 For the Levites, then, there were forty-eight cities in all, together with their pasturelands, within the territory of the Israelites.
इस्राएलीहरूले अधिकार गरेका इलाकामा लेवीहरूका सहरहरू तिनीहरूका खर्कहरूसमेत, जम्मा अठचालीस वटा थिए।
42 Each of these cities had its own surrounding pasturelands; this was true for all the cities.
यी सहरहरूका चारैतिर खर्कहरू थिए; प्रत्येक सहरहरूमा यस्तै थियो।
43 Thus the LORD gave Israel all the land He had sworn to give their fathers, and they took possession of it and settled in it.
यसरी याहवेहले इस्राएलीहरूका पुर्खाहरूलाई दिनेछु भनी शपथ खानुभएका सबै देश तिनीहरूलाई दिनुभयो। अनि तिनीहरूले ती देशहरूमाथि अधिकार गरे, र त्यहाँ बसोबास गर्न लागे।
44 And the LORD gave them rest on every side, just as He had sworn to their fathers. None of their enemies could stand against them, for the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.
याहवेहले तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूसँग शपथ खानुभएझैँ, उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई चारैतिरबाट शान्ति दिनुभयो। तिनीहरूका कुनै पनि शत्रु तिनीहरूको विरुद्धमा खडा रहन सकेनन्। याहवेहले तिनीहरूका सबै शत्रुहरूलाई तिनीहरूको हातमा सुम्पिदिनुभयो।
45 Not one of all the LORD’s good promises to the house of Israel had failed; everything was fulfilled.
याहवेहले इस्राएलीहरूलाई गर्नुभएका असल प्रतिज्ञाहरूमध्ये एउटै पनि असफल भएनन्; हरेक प्रतिज्ञाहरू पूरा भए।
