Joshua 15
1 Now the allotment for the clans of the tribe of Judah extended to the border of Edom, to the Wilderness of Zin at the extreme southern boundary:
Keluarga-keluarga dari suku Yehuda menerima bagian tanah yang batas-batasnya adalah sebagai berikut: Di sebelah selatan, daerah itu terbentang sampai ujung paling selatan daerah padang gurun Zin di perbatasan Edom;
2 Their southern border started at the bay on the southern tip of the Salt Sea,

3 proceeded south of the Ascent of Akrabbim, continued on to Zin, went over to the south of Kadesh-barnea, ran past Hezron up to Addar, and curved toward Karka.
terus ke selatan melalui lereng-lereng gunung di Akrabim sampai ke Zin. Selanjutnya melalui selatan Kades-Barnea, terus melalui Hezron, naik ke Adar, kemudian membelok ke arah Karka.
4 It proceeded to Azmon, joined the Brook of Egypt, and ended at the Sea. This was their southern border.
Dari situ terus pula ke Azmon, lalu menyusur anak sungai di perbatasan Mesir, kemudian berakhir di Laut Tengah. Demikianlah garis perbatasan sebelah selatan daerah untuk Suku Yehuda. Dan garis perbatasan itu merupakan pula garis perbatasan sebelah selatan seluruh negeri Israel.
5 The eastern border was the Salt Sea as far as the mouth of the Jordan. The northern border started from the bay of the sea at the mouth of the Jordan,
Di sebelah timur, batasnya ialah Laut Mati, terus ke utara sampai ke muara Sungai Yordan. Di sebelah utara, batasnya mulai dari muara Sungai Yordan itu,
6 went up to Beth-hoglah, proceeded north of Beth-arabah, and went up to the Stone of Bohan son of Reuben.
naik ke Bet-Hogla, lalu terus ke batas Lembah Yordan. Dari situ perbatasan utara itu naik terus ke utara sampai ke Batu Bohan (Bohan adalah anak Ruben),
7 Then the border went up to Debir from the Valley of Achor, turning north to Gilgal, which faces the Ascent of Adummim south of the ravine. It continued along the waters of En-shemesh and came out at En-rogel.
kemudian terus ke Lembah Kesusahan sampai ke Debir, lalu belok lagi ke utara ke arah Gilgal di tempat yang berhadapan dengan lereng-lereng gunung di Adumim sebelah selatan lembah itu. Dari situ terus lagi ke sumber air En-Semes, lalu ke En-Rogel,
8 From there the border went up the Valley of Hinnom along the southern slope of the Jebusites (that is, Jerusalem) and ascended to the top of the hill that faces the Valley of Hinnom on the west, at the northern end of the Valley of Rephaim.
kemudian naik melalui Lembah Hinom ke sebelah selatan bukit, di mana terletak Yerusalem, kota orang Yebus. Dari situ garis perbatasan itu menuju ke puncak bukit itu di sebelah barat Lembah Hinom, di ujung utara Lembah Refaim,
9 From the hilltop the border curved to the spring of the Waters of Nephtoah, proceeded to the cities of Mount Ephron, and then bent around toward Baalah (that is, Kiriath-jearim).
kemudian terus ke sumber air Me-Neftoah, sampai ke kota-kota dekat Gunung Efron. Dari situ garis batas daerah itu membelok ke arah Baala (yaitu Kiryat-Yearim),
10 The border curled westward from Baalah to Mount Seir, ran along the northern slope of Mount Jearim (that is, Chesalon), went down to Beth-shemesh, and crossed to Timnah.
dan mengelilingi bagian barat Baala ke arah Pegunungan Edom, lalu terus ke bagian utara Gunung Yearim (yaitu Gunung Kesalon), dan turun ke Bet-Semes, kemudian terus ke Timna.
11 Then it went out to the northern slope of Ekron, curved toward Shikkeron, proceeded to Mount Baalah, went on to Jabneel, and ended at the Sea.
Dari Timna, garis batas itu selanjutnya menuju ke sebelah utara Gunung Ekron, lalu membelok ke arah Sikron, lewat Gunung Baala, terus ke Yabneel, dan berakhir di Laut Tengah,
12 And the western border was the coastline of the Great Sea. These are the boundaries around the clans of the descendants of Judah.
yang merupakan garis perbatasan sebelah barat wilayah suku Yehuda. Di dalam wilayah itu tinggal orang-orang dari keluarga-keluarga dalam suku Yehuda.
13 According to the LORD’s command to him, Joshua gave Caleb son of Jephunneh a portion among the sons of Judah—Kiriath-arba, that is, Hebron. (Arba was the forefather of Anak.)
Sesuai dengan perintah TUHAN kepada Yosua, sebagian daerah Yehuda diberikan kepada Kaleb anak Yefune dari suku Yehuda. Kepadanya diberikan Hebron, yaitu kota kepunyaan Arba, ayah Enak.
14 And Caleb drove out from there the three sons of Anak—the descendants of Sheshai, Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak.
Keturunan Enak ialah orang Sesai, Ahiman dan Talmai. Kaleb mengusir mereka semuanya dari Hebron.
15 From there he marched against the inhabitants of Debir (formerly known as Kiriath-sepher).
Dari situ ia pergi menyerang orang-orang yang tinggal di Debir. (Kota itu dahulu terkenal sebagai Kiryat-Sefer.)
16 And Caleb said, “To the man who strikes down Kiriath-sepher and captures it, I will give my daughter Acsah in marriage.”
Kata Kaleb, "Barangsiapa dapat merebut Kiryat-Sefer, ia boleh kawin dengan anak perempuan saya, Akhsa."
17 So Othniel son of Caleb’s brother Kenaz captured the city, and Caleb gave his daughter Acsah to him in marriage.
Otniel, anak dari saudara Kaleb yang bernama Kenas, merebut kota itu; maka Kaleb memberikan Akhsa, anaknya, menjadi istri Otniel.
18 One day Acsah came to Othniel and urged him to ask her father for a field. When she got off her donkey, Caleb asked her, “What do you desire?”
Pada hari perkawinan mereka, Otniel mendesak Akhsa supaya meminta sebidang tanah dari ayahnya. Maka turunlah Akhsa dari keledainya, lalu Kaleb menanyakan kepadanya apa yang diinginkannya.
19 “Give me a blessing,” she answered. “Since you have given me land in the Negev, give me springs of water as well.” So Caleb gave her both the upper and lower springs.
Akhsa menjawab, "Saya ingin beberapa sumber air, sebab tanah yang ayah berikan kepada saya itu berada di daerah yang kering." Maka Kaleb memberikan kepadanya sumber air di bagian hulu dan sumber air di bagian hilir.
20 This is the inheritance of the clans of the tribe of Judah.
Berikut ini adalah tanah yang diberikan kepada keluarga-keluarga dalam suku Yehuda untuk menjadi milik mereka.
21 These were the southernmost cities of the tribe of Judah in the Negev toward the border of Edom: Kabzeel, Eder, Jagur,
Kota-kota yang paling jauh di sebelah selatan, yang menjadi milik Yehuda, yaitu yang terletak di perbatasan Edom, semuanya ada dua puluh sembilan kota, termasuk desa-desa di sekitarnya. Kota-kota itu ialah: Kabzeel, Eder, Yagur, Kina, Dimona, Adada, Kedes, Hazor, Yitnan, Zif, Telem, Bealot, Hazor-Hadata, Keriot-Hezron (yaitu Hazor), Amam, Sema, Molada, Hazar-Gada, Hesmon, Bet-Pelet, Hazar-Sual, Bersyeba, Baala, Iyim, Ezem, Eltolad, Khesil, Horma, Ziklag, Madmana, Sansana, Lebaot, Silhim, Ain dan Rimon.
22 Kinah, Dimonah, Adadah,
23 Kedesh, Hazor, Ithnan,
24 Ziph, Telem, Bealoth,
25 Hazor-hadattah, Kerioth-hezron (that is, Hazor),
26 Amam, Shema, Moladah,
27 Hazar-gaddah, Heshmon, Beth-pelet,
28 Hazar-shual, Beersheba, Biziothiah,
29 Baalah, Iim, Ezem,
30 Eltolad, Chesil, Hormah,
31 Ziklag, Madmannah, Sansannah,
32 Lebaoth, Shilhim, Ain, and Rimmon—twenty-nine cities in all, along with their villages.
33 These were in the foothills: Eshtaol, Zorah, Ashnah,
Kota-kota, termasuk desa-desa di sekitarnya, yang terletak di kaki-kaki bukit, semuanya ada empat belas kota, yaitu: Esytaol, Zora, Asna, Zanoah, En-Ganim, Tapuah, Enam, Yarmut, Adulam, Sokho, Azeka, Saaraim, Aditaim, Gedera dan Gederotaim.

35 Jarmuth, Adullam, Socoh, Azekah,
36 Shaaraim, Adithaim, and Gederah (or Gederothaim)—fourteen cities, along with their villages.
37 Zenan, Hadashah, Migdal-gad,
Juga enam belas kota berikut ini bersama dengan desa-desa di sekitarnya: Zenan, Hadasa, Migdal-Gad, Dilean, Mizpa, Yokteel, Lakhis, Bozkat, Eglon, Khabon, Lahmas, Khitlis, Gederot, Bet-Dagon, Naama dan Makeda.
38 Dilan, Mizpeh, Joktheel,
39 Lachish, Bozkath, Eglon,
40 Cabbon, Lahmas, Chitlish,
41 Gederoth, Beth-dagon, Naamah, and Makkedah—sixteen cities, along with their villages.
42 Libnah, Ether, Ashan,
Juga sembilan kota berikut ini bersama desa-desa di sekitarnya: Libna, Eter, Asan, Yiftah, Asna, Nezib, Kehila, Akhzib dan Maresa.
43 Iphtah, Ashnah, Nezib,
44 Keilah, Achzib, and Mareshah—nine cities, along with their villages.
45 Ekron, with its towns and villages;
Juga Ekron dengan kota-kota kecil dan desa-desanya,
46 from Ekron to the sea, all the cities near Ashdod, along with their villages;
serta semua kota-kota dan desa-desa di dekat Asdod, dari Ekron sampai ke Laut Tengah.
47 Ashdod, with its towns and villages; Gaza, with its towns and villages, as far as the Brook of Egypt and the coastline of the Great Sea.
Begitu pula Asdod dan Gaza dengan kota-kota kecil dan desa-desanya yang tersebar sampai dekat anak sungai di perbatasan Mesir dan pantai Laut Tengah.
48 These were in the hill country: Shamir, Jattir, Socoh,
Di daerah pegunungan ada sebelas kota bersama desa-desa di sekitarnya: Samir, Yatir, Sokho, Dana, Kiryat-Sana (yaitu Debir), Anab, Estemoa, Anim, Gosyen, Holon dan Gilo.
49 Dannah, Kiriath-sannah (that is, Debir),
50 Anab, Eshtemoh, Anim,
51 Goshen, Holon, and Giloh—eleven cities, along with their villages.
52 Arab, Dumah, Eshan,
Juga sembilan kota berikut ini, termasuk desa-desa di sekitarnya: Arab, Duma, Esan, Yanum, Bet-Tapuah, Afeka, Humta, Kiryat-Arba (yaitu Hebron) dan Zior.
53 Janim, Beth-tappuah, Aphekah,
54 Humtah, Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron), and Zior—nine cities, along with their villages.
55 Maon, Carmel, Ziph, Juttah,
Juga sepuluh kota berikut ini bersama desa-desa di sekitarnya: Maon, Karmel, Zif, Yuta, Yizreel, Yokdeam, Zanoah, Kain, Gibea dan Timna.
56 Jezreel, Jokdeam, Zanoah,
57 Kain, Gibeah, and Timnah—ten cities, along with their villages.
58 Halhul, Beth-zur, Gedor,
Dan enam kota berikut ini pula, bersama desa-desa di sekitarnya: Halhul, Bet-Zur, Gedor, Maarat, Bet-Anot dan Eltekon.
59 Maarath, Beth-anoth, and Eltekon—six cities, along with their villages.
60 Kiriath-baal (that is, Kiriath-jearim), and Rabbah—two cities, along with their villages.
Juga kedua kota berikut ini bersama desa-desa di sekitarnya: Kota Kiryat-Baal (yaitu Kiryat-Yearim) dan Kota Raba.
61 These were in the wilderness: Beth-arabah, Middin, Secacah,
Di daerah padang gurun, ada enam kota berikut ini bersama desa-desa di sekitarnya: Bet-Araba, Midin, Sekhakha, Nibsan, Kota Garam dan En-Gedi.
62 Nibshan, the City of Salt, and En-gedi—six cities, along with their villages.
63 But the descendants of Judah could not drive out the Jebusites living in Jerusalem. So to this day the Jebusites live there among the descendants of Judah.
Kota Yerusalem termasuk juga milik Yehuda, tetapi orang Yehuda tidak dapat mengusir orang Yebus yang tinggal di situ. Sampai sekarang orang Yebus masih tinggal bersama orang Yehuda di kota itu.
