Joshua 13
1 Now Joshua was old and well along in years, and the LORD said to him, “You are old and well along in years, but very much of the land remains to be possessed.
Era, porém, Josué já velho, entrado em dias; e disse-lhe o Senhor: Já estás velho, entrado em dias; e ainda muitissima terra ficou para possuir.
2 This is the land that remains: All the territory of the Philistines and the Geshurites,
A terra que fica de resto é esta: todos os termos dos philisteos, e toda a Gesuri;
3 from the Shihor east of Egypt to the territory of Ekron on the north (considered to be Canaanite territory)—that of the five Philistine rulers of Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath, and Ekron, as well as that of the Avvites;
Desde Sihor, que está defronte do Egypto, até ao termo de Ekron para o norte, que se conta ser dos cananeos: cinco principes dos philisteos, o gazeo, e o asdodeo, o ascalonita, o getheo, e o ekroneo, e os aveos;
4 to the south, all the land of the Canaanites, from Mearah of the Sidonians to Aphek, as far as the border of the Amorites;
Desde o sul, toda a terra dos cananeos, e Meara, que é dos sidoneos; até Aphek: até ao termo dos amorrheos;
5 the land of the Gebalites; and all Lebanon to the east, from Baal-gad below Mount Hermon to Lebo-hamath.
Como tambem a terra dos gibleos, e todo o Libano para o nascente do sol, desde Baal-gad, ao pé do monte Hermon, até á entrada d'Hamath;
6 All the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon to Misrephoth-maim—all the Sidonians—I Myself will drive out before the Israelites. Be sure to divide it by lot as an inheritance to Israel, as I have commanded you.
Todos os que habitam nas montanhas desde o Libano até Misrephoth-main, todos os sidoneos; eu os lançarei de diante dos filhos de Israel: tão sómente faze que a terra caia a Israel em sorte por herança, como já t'o tenho mandado.
7 Now therefore divide this land as an inheritance to the nine tribes and the half-tribe of Manasseh.”
Reparte pois agora esta terra por herança ás nove tribus e á meia tribu de Manasseh;
8 The other half of Manasseh, along with the Reubenites and Gadites, had received the inheritance Moses had given them beyond the Jordan to the east, just as Moses the servant of the LORD had assigned to them:
Com quem os rubenitas e os gaditas já receberam a sua heranca; a qual lhes deu Moysés d'além do Jordão para o oriente; como já lhes tinha dado Moysés, servo do Senhor,
9 The area from Aroer on the rim of the Arnon Valley, along with the city in the middle of the valley, the whole plateau of Medeba as far as Dibon,
Desde Aroer, que está á borda do ribeiro d'Arnon, e a cidade que está no meio do valle, e toda a campina de Medeba até Dibon;
10 and all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites who reigned in Heshbon, as far as the border of the Ammonites;
E todas as cidades de Sehon, rei dos amorrheos, que reinou em Hesbon, até ao termo dos filhos d'Ammon;
11 also Gilead and the territory of the Geshurites and Maacathites, all of Mount Hermon, and all Bashan as far as Salecah—
E Gilead, e o termo dos gesureos, e dos maacateos, e todo o monte Hermon, e toda a Basan até Salcha:
12 the whole kingdom of Og in Bashan, who had reigned in Ashtaroth and Edrei and had remained as a remnant of the Rephaim. Moses had struck them down and dispossessed them,
Todo o reino d'Og em Basan, que reinou em Astaroth e em Edrei; este ficou do resto dos gigantes que Moysés feriu e expelliu.
13 but the Israelites did not drive out the Geshurites or the Maacathites. So Geshur and Maacath dwell among the Israelites to this day.
Porém os filhos de Israel não expelliram os gesureos, nem os maacateos; antes Gesur e Maacath habitaram no meio de Israel até ao dia de hoje.
14 To the tribe of Levi, however, Moses had given no inheritance. The offerings made by fire to the LORD, the God of Israel, are their inheritance, just as He had promised them.
Tão sómente á tribu de Levi não deu herança: os sacrificios queimados do Senhor Deus de Israel são a sua herança, como já lhe tinha dito.
15 This is what Moses had given to the clans of the tribe of Reuben:
Assim Moysés deu á tribu dos filhos de Ruben, conforme as suas familias.
16 The territory from Aroer on the rim of the Arnon Valley, along with the city in the middle of the valley, to the whole plateau beyond Medeba,
E foi o seu termo desde Aroer, que está á borda do ribeiro d'Arnon, e a cidade que está no meio do valle, e toda a campina até Medeba;
17 to Heshbon and all its cities on the plateau, including Dibon, Bamoth-baal, Beth-baal-meon,
Hesbon e todas as suas cidades, que estão na campina: Dibon, e Bamoth-baal, e Beth-baal-meon;
18 Jahaz, Kedemoth, Mephaath,
E Jahsa, e Kedemoth, e Mephaat;
19 Kiriathaim, Sibmah, Zereth-shahar on the hill in the valley,
E Kiriathaim, e Sibma, e Zereth, e Hassahar, no monte do valle;
20 Beth-peor, the slopes of Pisgah, and Beth-jeshimoth—
E Beth-peor, e Asdoth-pisga, e Beth-jesimoth;
21 all the cities of the plateau and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon until Moses killed him and the chiefs of Midian (Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba), the princes of Sihon who lived in the land.
E todas as cidades da campina, e todo o reino de Sehon, rei dos amorrheos, que reinou em Hesbon, a quem Moysés feriu, como tambem aos principes de Midian, Evi, e Rekem, e Sur, e Hur, e Reba, principes de Sehon, moradores da terra.
22 The Israelites also killed the diviner Balaam son of Beor along with the others they put to the sword.
Tambem os filhos de Israel mataram á espada a Balaão, filho de Beor, o adivinho, como os mais que por elles foram mortos.
23 And the border of the Reubenites was the bank of the Jordan. This was the inheritance of the clans of the Reubenites, including the cities and villages.
E foi o termo dos filhos de Ruben o Jordão e o seu termo; esta é a herança dos filhos de Ruben, segundo as suas familias, as cidades, e as suas aldeias.
24 This is what Moses had given to the clans of the tribe of Gad:
E deu Moysés á tribu de Gad, aos filhos de Gad, segundo as suas familias.
25 The territory of Jazer, all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the Ammonites as far as Aroer, near Rabbah;
E foi o seu termo Jaezer, e todas as cidades de Gilead, e metade da terra dos filhos d'Ammon, até Aroer, que está defronte de Rabba;
26 the territory from Heshbon to Ramath-mizpeh and Betonim, and from Mahanaim to the border of Debir;
E desde Hesbon até Ramath-mispe, e Bethonim: e desde Mahanaim até ao termo de Debir;
27 and in the valley, Beth-haram, Beth-nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon, with the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon (the territory on the east side of the Jordan up to the edge of the Sea of Chinnereth ).
E no valle Beth-aram, e Beth-nimra, e Succoth, e Saphon, que ficara do resto do reino do rei de Sehon em Hesbon, o Jordão e o seu termo, até á extremidade do mar de Cinnereth d'além do Jordão para o oriente.
28 This was the inheritance of the clans of the Gadites, including the cities and villages.
Esta é a herança dos filhos de Gad, segundo as suas familias, as cidades e as suas aldeias.
29 This is what Moses had given to the clans of the half-tribe of Manasseh, that is, to half the tribe of the descendants of Manasseh:
Deu tambem Moysés herança á meia tribu de Manasseh, que ficou á meia tribu dos filhos de Manasseh, segundo as suas familias,
30 The territory from Mahanaim through all Bashan—all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, including all the towns of Jair that are in Bashan, sixty cities;
De maneira que o seu termo foi desde Mahanaim, todo o Basan, todo o reino d'Og, rei de Basan, e todas as aldeias de Jair, que estão em Basan, sessenta cidades,
31 half of Gilead; and Ashtaroth and Edrei, the royal cities of Og in Bashan. All this was for the clans of the descendants of Machir son of Manasseh, that is, half of the descendants of Machir.
E metade de Gilead, e Astaroth, e Edrei, cidades do reino d'Og, em Basan, aos filhos de Machir, filho de Manasseh, a saber, á metade dos filhos de Machir, segundo as suas familias.
32 These were the portions Moses had given them on the plains of Moab beyond the Jordan, east of Jericho.
Isto é o que Moysés repartiu em herança nas campinas de Moab, d'além do Jordão de Jericó para o oriente.
33 To the tribe of Levi, however, Moses had given no inheritance. The LORD, the God of Israel, is their inheritance, just as He had promised them.
Porém á tribu de Levi Moysés não deu herança: o Senhor Deus de Israel é a sua herança, como já lhe tinha dito.
