John 20
1 Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance.
Am ersten Tage der Woche aber kommt Maria, die Magdalenerin, frühe, als es noch finster war, zum Grabmal, und siehe den Stein weggenommen vom Grabmal.
2 So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved. “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb,” she said, “and we do not know where they have put Him!”
Da läuft sie, und kommt zu Simon Petrus und zu dem andern Jünger, den Jesus lieb hatte, und sagt ihnen: Man hat den Herrn weggenommen aus dem Grabmal, und wir wissen nicht, wo man ihn hingelegt hat.
3 Then Peter and the other disciple set out for the tomb.
Da ging Petrus und der andere Jünger hinaus, und kamen zu dem Grabmal.
4 The two were running together, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first.
Es liefen aber die zwei zusammen, und der andere Jünger lief voraus, schneller als Petrus, und kam zuerst ans Grabmal.
5 He bent down and looked in at the linen cloths lying there, but he did not go in.
Und er bückte sich hinein, und sieht die Binden daliegen; er ging jedoch nicht hinein.
6 Simon Peter arrived just after him. He entered the tomb and saw the linen cloths lying there.
Simon Petrus nun kommt ihm nach, und geht hinein ins Grab, und sieht die Binden daliegen,
7 The cloth that had been around Jesus’ head was rolled up, lying separate from the linen cloths.
Und das Schweißtuch, das er auf dem Haupte gehabt, nicht bei den Binden liegen, sondern beiseits zusammengewickelt an einem besondern Ort.
8 Then the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went in. And he saw and believed.
Da ging auch der andere Jünger hinein, der zuerst ans Grab gekommen war, und sah es, und glaubte.
9 For they still did not understand from the Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.
Denn sie verstunden die Schrift noch nicht, daß er von den Toten auferstehen sollte.
10 Then the disciples returned to their homes.
So gingen nun die beiden Jünger wieder heim.
11 But Mary stood outside the tomb weeping. And as she wept, she bent down to look into the tomb,
Maria aber stund am Grab, und weinte außen. Als sie nun weinte, bückte sie sich in das Grab,
12 and she saw two angels in white sitting where the body of Jesus had lain, one at the head and the other at the feet.
Und sieht zwei Engel in weißen Kleidern sitzen, einen am Haupt, und einen bei den Füßen, wo der Leichnam Jesu gelegen war.
13 “Woman, why are you weeping?” they asked. “Because they have taken my Lord away,” she said, “and I do not know where they have put Him.”
Und dieselben sagen ihr: Frau, warum weinst du? Sagt sie ihnen: Man hat meinen Herrn weggenommen, und ich weiß nicht, wo man ihn hingelegt hat.
14 When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there; but she did not recognize that it was Jesus.
Als sie dieses sagte, wandte sie sich zurück, und sieht Jesus dastehen, und wußte nicht, daß es Jesus ist.
15 “Woman, why are you weeping?” Jesus asked. “Whom are you seeking?” Thinking He was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried Him off, tell me where you have put Him, and I will get Him.”
Jesus sagt ihr: Frau, warum weinst du? Wen suchst du? - Sie meint, es ist der Gärtner, und sagt ihm: Herr, wenn du ihn fortgetragen hast, so sage mir, wo du ihn hingelegt, so will ich ihn holen.
16 Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned and said to Him in Hebrew, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”).
Sagt ihr Jesus: Maria! Sie wandte sich um, und sagte ihm auf Hebräisch: Rabbuni, das heißt: Lehrer!
17 “Do not cling to Me,” Jesus said, “for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go and tell My brothers, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, to My God and your God.’”
Sagt ihr Jesus: Halte mich nicht fest, denn ich bin noch nicht aufgefahren zu meinem Vater. Gehe aber hin zu meinen Brüdern, und sage ihnen: Ich fahre auf zu meinem Vater und euerm Vater, zu meinem Gott und euerm Gott.
18 Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them what He had said to her.
Kommt Maria Magdalena, und verkündigt den Jüngern, daß sie den Herrn gesehen, und er ihr solches gesagt habe.
19 It was the first day of the week, and that very evening, while the disciples were together with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them. “Peace be with you!” He said to them.
Als es nun Abend war an jenem ersten Tage der Woche, und die Türen verschlossen waren, wo die Jünger sich versammelt hatten, aus Furcht vor den Juden, kam Jesus, und stand in die Mitte, und sagt ihnen: Friede sei mit euch!
20 After He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. The disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord.
Und als er dies gesagt, zeigte er ihnen seine Hände und Seite. Da wurden die Jünger froh, als sie den Herrn sahen.
21 Again Jesus said to them, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent Me, so also I am sending you.”
Da sprach Jesus abermal zu ihnen: Friede sei mit euch! Gleichwie mich der Vater gesandt hat, sende auch ich euch.
22 When He had said this, He breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.
Und als er dies gesagt hatte, hauchte er sie an, und sagt ihnen: Nehmet hin den heiligen Geist.
23 If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you withhold forgiveness from anyone, it is withheld.”
Welchen ihr die Sünden erlasset, denen sind sie erlassen, und welchen ihr sie behaltet, denen sind sie behalten.
24 Now Thomas called Didymus, one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came.
Thomas aber, einer von den Zwölfen, der da Zwilling heißt, war nicht bei ihnen, als Jesus kam.
25 So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he replied, “Unless I see the nail marks in His hands, and put my finger where the nails have been, and put my hand into His side, I will never believe.”
Da sagen ihm die andern Jünger: Wir haben den Herrn gesehen. Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Wenn ich nicht sehe in seinen Händen die Nägelmale, und lege meine Hand in seine Seite, so werde ich nicht glauben.
26 Eight days later, His disciples were once again inside with the doors locked, and Thomas was with them. Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.”
Und nach acht Tagen waren seine Jünger wiederum drinnen, und Thomas bei ihnen. Kommt Jesus bei verschlossenen Türen, und stund in die Mitte, und sprach: Friede sei mit euch!
27 Then Jesus said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and look at My hands. Reach out your hand and put it into My side. Stop doubting and believe.”
Dann sagt er dem Thomas: Reiche deinen Finger her, und siehe meine Hände, und reiche deine Hand her, und lege sie in meine Seite, und sei nicht ungläubig, sondern gläubig.
28 Thomas replied, “My Lord and my God!”
Thomas antwortete, und sagte ihm: Mein Herr und mein Gott!
29 Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
Sagt ihm Jesus: Weil du mich gesehen hast, hast du geglaubt. Selig sind, die nicht sahen, und doch glaubten.
30 Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book.
Zwar tat Jesus auch noch viele andere Zeichen vor seinen Jüngern, welche nicht geschrieben sind in diesem Buche.
31 But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.
Diese aber sind geschrieben, damit ihr glaubet, daß Jesus der Messias ist, der Sohn Gottes, und damit ihr, gläubig geworden, in seinem Namen ewiges Leben habet.
