John 17
1 When Jesus had spoken these things, He lifted up His eyes to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son may glorify You.
ESTAS cosas habló Jesus y levantados los ojos al cielo, dijo: Padre, la hora es llegada; glorifica á tu Hijo; para que tambien tu Hijo te glorifique á tí:
2 For You granted Him authority over all people, so that He may give eternal life to all those You have given Him. (aiōnios g166)
Como le has dado la potestad de toda carne, para que de vida eterna á todos los que le diste. (aiōnios g166)
3 Now this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent. (aiōnios g166)
Esta empero es la vida eterna: Que te conozcan solo Dios verdadero, y á Jesu-Cristo, al cual has enviado. (aiōnios g166)
4 I have glorified You on earth by accomplishing the work You gave Me to do.
Yo te he glorificado en la tierra; he acabado la obra que me diste que hiciese.
5 And now, Father, glorify Me in Your presence with the glory I had with You before the world existed.
Ahora pues, Padre, glorifícame tú cerca de tí mismo con aquella gloria que tuve cerca de tí ántes que el mundo fuese.
6 I have revealed Your name to those You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours; You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.
He manifestado tu nombre á los hombres que del mundo me diste: tuyos eran, y me los diste, y guardaron tu palabra.
7 Now they know that everything You have given Me comes from You.
Ahora han conocido que todas las cosas que me diste, son de tí.
8 For I have given them the words You gave Me, and they have received them. They knew with certainty that I came from You, and they believed that You sent Me.
Porque las palabras que me diste, les he dado; y ellos [las] recibieron, y han conocido verdaderamente que salí de tí, y han creido que tú me enviaste.
9 I ask on their behalf. I do not ask on behalf of the world, but on behalf of those You have given Me; for they are Yours.
Yo ruego por ellos: no ruego por el mundo, sino por los que me diste, porque tuyos son.
10 All I have is Yours, and all You have is Mine; and in them I have been glorified.
Y todas mis cosas son tus cosas, y tus cosas son mis cosas: y he sido glorificado en ellas.
11 I will no longer be in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, protect them by Your name, the name You gave Me, so that they may be one as We are one.
Y ya no estoy en el mundo; mas estos están en el mundo, y yo á tí vengo. Padre santo, á los que me has dado, guárdalos por tu nombre, para que sean una cosa, como tambien nosotros.
12 While I was with them, I protected and preserved them by Your name, the name You gave Me. Not one of them has been lost, except the son of destruction, so that the Scripture would be fulfilled.
Cuando estaba con ellos en el mundo, yo los guardaba en tu nombre; á los que me diste, yo los guardé y ninguno de ellos se perdió, sino el hijo de perdicion, para que la escritura se cumpliese.
13 But now I am coming to You; and I am saying these things while I am in the world, so that they may have My joy fulfilled within them.
Mas ahora vengo á tí; y hablo esto en el mundo, para que tengan mi gozo cumplido en sí mismos.
14 I have given them Your word and the world has hated them; for they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
Yo les he dado tu palabra, y el mundo los aborreció; porque no son del mundo, como tampoco yo soy del mundo.
15 I am not asking that You take them out of the world, but that You keep them from the evil one.
No ruego que los quites del mundo, sino que los guardes del mal.
16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
No son del mundo, como tampoco yo soy del mundo.
17 Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth.
Santifícalos en tu verdad: tu palabra es [la] verdad.
18 As You sent Me into the world, I have also sent them into the world.
Como tú me enviaste al mundo, tambien yo los he enviado al mundo.
19 For them I sanctify Myself, so that they too may be sanctified by the truth.
Y por ellos yo me santifico á mí mismo; para que tambien ellos sean santificados en verdad.
20 I am not asking on behalf of them alone, but also on behalf of those who will believe in Me through their message,
Mas no ruego solamente por estos, sino tambien por los que han de creer en mí por la palabra de ellos;
21 that all of them may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I am in You. May they also be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.
Para que todos sean una cosa: como tú, oh Padre, en mí, y yo en tí, que tambien ellos sean en nosotros una cosa: para que el mundo crea que tú me enviaste.
22 I have given them the glory You gave Me, so that they may be one as We are one—
Y yo, la gloria que me diste, les he dado; para que sean una cosa, como tambien nosotros somos una cosa.
23 I in them and You in Me—that they may be perfectly united, so that the world may know that You sent Me and have loved them just as You have loved Me.
Yo en ellos, y tú en mí, para que sean consumadamente una cosa, que el mundo conozca que tú me enviaste, que los has amado, como tambien á mí me has amado.
24 Father, I want those You have given Me to be with Me where I am, that they may see the glory You gave Me because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
Padre, aquellos que me has dado, quiero que donde yo estoy, ellos estén tambien conmigo; para que vean mi gloria que me has dado: por cuanto me has amado desde ántes de la constitucion del mundo.
25 Righteous Father, although the world has not known You, I know You, and they know that You sent Me.
Padre justo, el mundo no te ha conocido: mas yo te he conocido, y estos han conocido que tú me enviaste.
26 And I have made Your name known to them and will continue to make it known, so that the love You have for Me may be in them, and I in them.”
Y yo les he manifestado tu nombre, y manifestaré[lo aun; ] para que el amor, con que me has amado, esté en ellos, y yo en ellos.
