John 14
1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe in Me as well.
௧உங்களுடைய இருதயம் கலங்காமல் இருப்பதாக; தேவனிடத்தில் விசுவாசமாக இருங்கள், என்னிடத்திலும் விசுவாசமாக இருங்கள்.
2 In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?
௨என் பிதாவின் வீட்டில் அநேக தங்கும் இடங்கள் இருக்கின்றன; அப்படி இல்லாமலிருந்தால், நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லியிருப்பேன்; ஒரு இடத்தை உங்களுக்காக ஆயத்தம் செய்யப்போகிறேன்.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and welcome you into My presence, so that you also may be where I am.
௩நான் போய் உங்களுக்காக இடத்தை ஆயத்தம்செய்தபின்பு, நான் இருக்கிற இடத்திலே நீங்களும் இருக்கும்படி, நான் மறுபடியும் வந்து உங்களை என்னிடத்தில் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளுவேன்.
4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”
௪நான் போகிற இடத்தை அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்கள், வழியையும் அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்கள் என்றார்.
5 “Lord,” said Thomas, “we do not know where You are going, so how can we know the way?”
௫தோமா அவரைப் பார்த்து: ஆண்டவரே, நீர் போகிற இடத்தை அறியோமே, வழியை நாங்கள் எப்படி அறிவோம் என்றான்.
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
௬அதற்கு இயேசு: நானே வழியும் சத்தியமும் ஜீவனுமாக இருக்கிறேன்; என்னாலே அல்லாமல் ஒருவனும் பிதாவினிடத்தில் வரான்.
7 If you had known Me, you would know My Father as well. From now on you do know Him and have seen Him.”
௭என்னை அறிந்தீர்களானால் என் பிதாவையும் அறிந்திருப்பீர்கள்; இதுமுதல் நீங்கள் அவரை அறிந்தும் அவரைப் பார்த்தும் இருக்கிறீர்கள் என்றார்.
8 Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.”
௮பிலிப்பு அவரைப் பார்த்து: ஆண்டவரே, பிதாவை எங்களுக்குக் காண்பியும், அது எங்களுக்குப் போதும் என்றான்.
9 Jesus replied, “Philip, I have been with you all this time, and still you do not know Me? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
௯அதற்கு இயேசு: பிலிப்புவே, இவ்வளவு காலம் நான் உங்களோடு இருந்தும் நீ என்னை அறியவில்லையா? என்னைப் பார்த்தவன் பிதாவைப் பார்த்தான்; அப்படி இருக்க, பிதாவை எங்களுக்குக் காண்பியும் என்று நீ எப்படிச் சொல்லுகிறாய்?
10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words I say to you, I do not speak on My own. Instead, it is the Father dwelling in Me, performing His works.
௧0நான் பிதாவிலும், பிதா என்னிலும் இருக்கிறதை நீ விசுவாசிக்கிறதில்லையா? நான் உங்களோடு சொல்லுகிற வசனங்களை நானாகவே சொல்லவில்லை; எனக்குள் வாழ்கிற பிதாவானவரே இந்த செயல்களைச்செய்து வருகிறார்.
11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me—or at least believe on account of the works themselves.
௧௧நான் பிதாவிலும், பிதா என்னிலும் இருக்கிறதை நம்புங்கள்; அப்படி இல்லாவிட்டாலும் என்னுடைய செயல்களினாலாவது என்னை நம்புங்கள்.
12 Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever believes in Me will also do the works that I am doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.
௧௨உண்மையாகவே உண்மையாகவே, நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்; நான் என் பிதாவினிடத்திற்குப் போகிறபடியினால், என்னை விசுவாசிக்கிறவன் நான் செய்கிற செயல்களைத் தானும் செய்வான், இவைகளைவிடப் பெரிய செயல்களையும் செய்வான்.
13 And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
௧௩நீங்கள் என் நாமத்தினாலே எதைக் கேட்பீர்களோ, குமாரனில் பிதா மகிமைப்படும்படி அதைச் செய்வேன்.
14 If you ask Me for anything in My name, I will do it.
௧௪என் நாமத்தினாலே நீங்கள் எதைக்கேட்டாலும் அதை நான் செய்வேன்.
15 If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.
௧௫நீங்கள் என்னிடத்தில் அன்பாக இருந்தால் என் கட்டளைகளைக் கடைபிடியுங்கள்.
16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever— (aiōn g165)
௧௬நான் பிதாவை கேட்டுக்கொள்ளுவேன், அப்பொழுது என்றென்றைக்கும் உங்களோடு இருக்கும்படி சத்திய ஆவியானவராகிய வேறொரு தேற்றரவாளனை அவர் உங்களுக்குத் தருவார். (aiōn g165)
17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you do know Him, for He abides with you and will be in you.
௧௭உலகம் அந்தச் சத்திய ஆவியானவரைப் பார்க்காமலும், அறியாமலும் இருக்கிறபடியால் அவரைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளமாட்டாது; அவர் உங்களோடு தங்கி உங்களுக்குள்ளே இருப்பதால், நீங்கள் அவரை அறிவீர்கள்.
18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
௧௮நான் உங்களைத் திக்கற்றவர்களாக விடமாட்டேன், உங்களிடம் வருவேன்.
19 In a little while the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you also will live.
௧௯இன்னும் கொஞ்சக்காலத்தில் உலகம் என்னைப் பார்க்காது, நீங்களோ என்னைப் பார்ப்பீர்கள்; நான் பிழைக்கிறபடி நீங்களும் பிழைப்பீர்கள்.
20 On that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you.
௨0நான் என் பிதாவிலும், நீங்கள் என்னிலும், நான் உங்களிலும் இருக்கிறதை அந்த நாளிலே நீங்கள் அறிவீர்கள்.
21 Whoever has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me. The one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him.”
௨௧என் கட்டளைகளை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு அவைகளைக் கடைபிடிக்கிறவனே என்னிடத்தில் அன்பாக இருக்கிறான், என்னிடத்தில் அன்பாக இருக்கிறவன்மேல் என் பிதா அன்பாக இருப்பார்; நானும் அவன்மேல் அன்பாக இருந்து, அவனுக்கு என்னை வெளிப்படுத்துவேன் என்றார்.
22 Judas (not Iscariot) asked Him, “Lord, why are You going to reveal Yourself to us and not to the world?”
௨௨ஸ்காரியோத்தல்லாத யூதா என்பவன் அவரைப் பார்த்து: ஆண்டவரே, நீர் உலகத்திற்கு உம்மை வெளிப்படுத்தாமல் எங்களுக்கு உம்மை வெளிப்படுத்தப்போகிற காரணம் என்ன என்றான்.
23 Jesus replied, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.
௨௩இயேசு அவனுக்கு மறுமொழியாக: ஒருவன் என்னில் அன்பாக இருந்தால் அவன் என் வார்த்தையைக் கடைப்பிடிப்பான், அவனில் என் பிதா அன்பாக இருப்பார்; நாங்கள் அவனிடத்தில் வந்து அவனுடன் குடிகொள்ளுவோம்.
24 Whoever does not love Me does not keep My words. The word that you hear is not My own, but it is from the Father who sent Me.
௨௪என்னில் அன்பாக இல்லாதவன் என் வார்த்தைகளைக் கடைப்பிடிக்கமாட்டான். நீங்கள் கேட்கிற வார்த்தை என்னுடையதாக இல்லாமல் என்னை அனுப்பின பிதாவினுடையதாக இருக்கிறது.
25 All this I have spoken to you while I am still with you.
௨௫நான் உங்களோடு தங்கியிருக்கும்போது இவைகளை உங்களுக்குச் சொன்னேன்.
26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have told you.
௨௬என் நாமத்தினாலே பிதா அனுப்பப்போகிற பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவராகிய தேற்றரவாளன் எல்லாவற்றையும் உங்களுக்குப் போதித்து, நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொன்ன எல்லாவற்றையும் உங்களுக்கு நினைவுபடுத்துவார்.
27 Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled; do not be afraid.
௨௭சமாதானத்தை உங்களுக்கு வைத்துப் போகிறேன், என்னுடைய சாமாதானத்தையே உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கிறேன்; உலகம் கொடுக்கிறபடி நான் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கிறதில்லை. உங்களுடைய இருதயம் கலங்காமலும், பயப்படாமலும் இருப்பதாக.
28 You heard Me say, ‘I am going away, and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I.
௨௮நான் போவேன் என்றும், திரும்பி உங்களிடம் வருவேன் என்றும் நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொன்னதைக் கேட்டீர்களே. நீங்கள் என்னில் அன்புள்ளவர்களாக இருந்தால் பிதாவினிடத்திற்குப் போகிறேன் என்று நான் சொன்னதைக்குறித்துச் சந்தோஷப்படுவீர்கள், ஏனென்றால், என் பிதா என்னைவிட பெரியவராக இருக்கிறார்.
29 And now I have told you before it happens, so that when it does happen, you will believe.
௨௯இது நடக்கும்போது நீங்கள் விசுவாசிக்கும்படியாக, நடப்பதற்கு முன்னமே இதை உங்களுக்குச் சொன்னேன்.
30 I will not speak with you much longer, for the prince of this world is coming, and he has no claim on Me.
௩0இனி நான் உங்களோடு அதிகமாக பேசுவதில்லை. இந்த உலகத்தின் தலைவன் வருகிறான், அவனுக்கு என்னிடத்தில் ஒன்றுமில்லை.
31 But I do exactly what the Father has commanded Me, so that the world may know that I love the Father. Get up! Let us go on from here.
௩௧நான் பிதாவில் அன்பாக இருக்கிறேன் என்றும், பிதா எனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே செய்கிறேன் என்றும், உலகம் அறியும்படிக்கு இப்படி நடக்கும். எழுந்திருங்கள், இந்த இடத்தைவிட்டுப் போவோம் வாருங்கள் என்றார்.
