< Job 41 >
1 “Can you pull in Leviathan with a hook or tie down his tongue with a rope?
Mahasarika ny mamba amin’ ny farango va ianao, na mahafatotra ny lelany amin’ ny mahazaka?
2 Can you put a cord through his nose or pierce his jaw with a hook?
Mahisy tady zozoro amin’ ny orony va ianao, na mahaboroaka ny valanoranony amin’ ny fintana?
3 Will he beg you for mercy or speak to you softly?
Hifon-jato amin’ arivo aminao va izy, na hanao teny malefaka aminao?
4 Will he make a covenant with you to take him as a slave for life?
Hanao fanekena aminao va izy? Azonao alaina ho andevonao mandrakizay va izy?
5 Can you pet him like a bird or put him on a leash for your maidens?
Hilalao azy tahaka ny filalao voron-kely va ianao? Ary hamatotra azy ho an’ ny zazavavy ao aminao va ianao?
6 Will traders barter for him or divide him among the merchants?
Hataon’ ny mpaka hazandrano varotra va izy, ka hotsinjarainy amin’ ny mpandranto?
7 Can you fill his hide with harpoons or his head with fishing spears?
Mahafeno lefom-pohy ny hodiny va ianao, na firombaka amin’ ny lohany?
8 If you lay a hand on him, you will remember the battle and never repeat it!
Atehefo aminy ange ny tananao; Raha tsaroanao ny ady, dia tsy hanindroa intsony ianao.
9 Surely hope of overcoming him is false. Is not the sight of him overwhelming?
Indro, foana ny fihendrena azy; Tsy mahakivy va na dia ny fijery azy aza?
10 No one is so fierce as to rouse Leviathan. Then who is able to stand against Me?
Tsy misy sahy manao vi-very hanaitra azy; Koa iza kosa no mahajanona eo anatrehako?
11 Who has given to Me that I should repay him? Everything under heaven is Mine.
Iza no nanome Ahy aloha mba hamaliako azy? Ny eny ambanin’ ny lanitra rehetra dia Ahy avokoa.
12 I cannot keep silent about his limbs, his power and graceful form.
Tsy mbola hangina Aho ny amin’ ny momba ny tenany sy ny heriny ary ny fahatsaran’ ny endriny.
13 Who can strip off his outer coat? Who can approach him with a bridle?
Iza no mahasonga ny fitafiany anoloany? Na iza no sahy hiditra ao amin’ ny nifiny roa sosona?
14 Who can open his jaws, ringed by his fearsome teeth?
Iza no mahasokatra ny varavaran’ ny tavany? Mahatsiravina ny nifiny manodidina!
15 His rows of scales are his pride, tightly sealed together.
Reharehany ny faharaoraon’ ny kirany, mihidy avokoa toy ny voapetaka mafy amin’ ny tombo-kase ireo;
16 One scale is so near to another that no air can pass between them.
Mikirindro ireo, ka tsy azon’ ny rivotra idirana eo anelanelany.
17 They are joined to one another; they clasp and cannot be separated.
Mifanindry lany ireo sady mifaniditra ka tsy azo sarahina,
18 His snorting flashes with light, and his eyes are like the rays of dawn.
Ny fieviny dia mampamirapiratra fahazavana, ary ny masony dia tahaka ny hodimason’ ny maraina.
19 Firebrands stream from his mouth; fiery sparks shoot forth!
Lelafo no mivoaka avy amin’ ny vavany; Kilalaon’ afo no mipariaka avy aminy.
20 Smoke billows from his nostrils as from a boiling pot over burning reeds.
Ny vavorony dia ivoahan’ ny setroka, tahaka ny avy amin’ ny vilany mangotraka, na amin’ ny fahandroana.
21 His breath sets coals ablaze, and flames pour from his mouth.
Ny fofonainy mampirehitra arina, ary misy lelafo mivoaka avy amin’ ny vavany.
22 Strength resides in his neck, and dismay leaps before him.
Ny vozony no itoeran’ ny hery; Ary mibitaka eo alohany ny fampahatahorana.
23 The folds of his flesh are tightly joined; they are firm and immovable.
Mivalombalona ny hotraka amin’ ny tenany; Mafy ireny ka tsy azo endahana.
24 His chest is as hard as a rock, as hard as a lower millstone!
Mafy tahaka ny vato ny fony; Eny, mafy tahaka ny vato fikosoham-bary.
25 When Leviathan rises up, the mighty are terrified; they withdraw before his thrashing.
Raha mitsangana izy, dia raiki-tahotra ny mahery; Eny, toran-kovitra ireo ka tsy mahavoa.
26 The sword that reaches him has no effect, nor does the spear or dart or arrow.
Raha misy mamely azy amin’ ny sabatra dia tsy mahalaitra, na amin’ ny lefom-pohy, na ny firombaka, na ny zana-tsipìka.
27 He regards iron as straw and bronze as rotten wood.
Ataony toy ny mololo ny vy, ary toy ny hazo momoka ny varahina.
28 No arrow can make him flee; slingstones become like chaff to him.
Tsy mampandositra azy ny zana-tsipìka; Ataony ho toy ny vodivary ny vaton’ antsamotady.
29 A club is regarded as straw, and he laughs at the sound of the lance.
Ataony ho toy ny vodivary koa ny langilangy; Ihomehezany ny fanetsehana ny lefona.
30 His undersides are jagged potsherds, spreading out the mud like a threshing sledge.
Ny takibany dia tahaka ny tavim-bilany maranitra; Mamelatra fivelezam-bary maranitra eo amin’ ny fotaka izy.
31 He makes the depths seethe like a cauldron; he makes the sea like a jar of ointment.
Mampandevy ny lalina ho tahaka ny ao am-bilany izy; Manao ny ranomasina ho tahaka ny vilany misy menaka manitra izy.
32 He leaves a glistening wake behind him; one would think the deep had white hair!
Mampahazava ny lalany eo aoriany izy. Ataon’ ny olona ho toy ny volo fotsy ny lalina.
33 Nothing on earth is his equal— a creature devoid of fear!
Tsy misy tahaka azy eny ambonin’ ny tany, izay voaforona tsy hahalala tahotra.
34 He looks down on all the haughty; he is king over all the proud.”
Ny avo rehetra jereny avokoa; Mpanjakan’ ny bibi-dia rehetra izy
