< Job 40 >

1 And the LORD said to Job:
Hahoi BAWIPA ni lawk a pathung teh,
2 “Will the faultfinder contend with the Almighty? Let him who argues with God give an answer.”
Athakasaipounge, hoi lawk ka oun e ni ama teh a yue han na maw, Cathut ma ni pathung yawkaw seh khe, telah atipouh.
3 Then Job answered the LORD:
Job ni BAWIPA hah a pathung teh,
4 “Behold, I am insignificant. How can I reply to You? I place my hand over my mouth.
Khenhaw! kai teh banghai cungkeihoehe lah ka o, bangtelamaw ka pathung han, ka pahni teh ka tabuem toe.
5 I have spoken once, but I have no answer— twice, but I have nothing to add.”
Vai touh ka dei toung dawkvah, ka pathung mahoeh toe. Vai hni touh e teh bout ka dei mahoeh toe telah a ti.
6 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind and said:
Hottelah Cathut ni Job hah bongparui thung hoi a pathung teh hettelah a dei:
7 “Now brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall inform Me.
Atuvah tongpatang lah coungkacoe awmh. Lawk na pacei vaiteh na pathung han.
8 Would you really annul My justice? Would you condemn Me to justify yourself?
Ka lawkcengnae hah na pathung katang han maw, na yon hoeh nahanlah yon na pen han maw.
9 Do you have an arm like God’s? Can you thunder with a voice like His?
Cathut patetlah kut na tawn maw, ama patetlah pawlawk na cai sak thai maw.
10 Then adorn yourself with majesty and splendor, and clothe yourself with honor and glory.
Taluenae hoi raimonae lah kamthoup haw, bawilennae hoi na meihawinae kamthoup.
11 Unleash the fury of your wrath; look on every proud man and bring him low.
Na lungkhueknae e hah tâcawt sak haw, Kâoup e pueng hah khen nateh pabawt haw.
12 Look on every proud man and humble him; trample the wicked where they stand.
Kâoup e pueng hah khen nateh rahnoum sak haw, tamikathoutnaw hah a onae hmuen dawkvah repcoungroe sin awh.
13 Bury them together in the dust; imprison them in the grave.
Vaiphu dawk cungtalah be hrawk awh, kâhrawk e hmonae hoi a minhmai hah ramuk awh.
14 Then I will confess to you that your own right hand can save you.
Hottelah aranglae na kut ni na rungngang thai e hah, kai ni hai ka pâpho han.
15 Look at Behemoth, which I made along with you. He feeds on grass like an ox.
Khenhaw! nama patetlah ka sak e Behemoth heh maitotan patetlah pho kahring a ca van.
16 See the strength of his loins and the power in the muscles of his belly.
A keng dawk e thaonae hoi a vonpui dawk e tharui hnotithainae hah khenhaw!
17 His tail sways like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are tightly knit.
A mai teh sidar thing patetlah a kâroe sak teh, a phai dawk e tharuinaw teh a bawk bawk lah ao.
18 His bones are tubes of bronze; his limbs are rods of iron.
A hrunaw teh rahum khom patetlah ao teh, a nâhru teh sum khom patetlah ao.
19 He is the foremost of God’s works; only his Maker can draw the sword against him.
Cathut e lamthung dawk hoi ahni te pasuek e lah a o, ahni dueng doeh kasakkung ni tahloi hoi kâhnai sak e lah ao.
20 The hills yield him their produce, while all the beasts of the field play nearby.
Monnaw ni ca hane a tâco sak, hawvah moithangnaw pueng ni a pai awh.
21 He lies under the lotus plants, hidden among the reeds of the marsh.
Lotus thingkung rahim vah a tabo teh, lungpum rahim hoi tuinawk dawk hai ouk ao.
22 The lotus plants conceal him in their shade; the willows of the brook surround him.
Lotus thingkung tâhlip ni a ngue awh, palang rai e sumpakungnaw ni a kalup.
23 Though the river rages, Behemoth is unafraid; he remains secure, though the Jordan surges to his mouth.
palang tui teh a len thai, hateiteh banglah noutna hoeh, apâhni totouh Jordan tui kalen nakunghai a lungmawng.
24 Can anyone capture him as he looks on, or pierce his nose with a snare?
A mit hoi a khet lahun nah, naphai do thai han namaw.
