< Job 36 >

1 And Elihu continued:
Elihu sì tún sọ̀rọ̀ wí pé,
2 “Bear with me a little longer, and I will show you that there is more to be said on God’s behalf.
“Fún mi láyè díẹ̀ èmi ó sì fihàn ọ́, nítorí ọ̀rọ̀ sísọ ní ó kún fún Ọlọ́run.
3 I get my knowledge from afar, and I will ascribe justice to my Maker.
Èmi ó mú ìmọ̀ mi ti ọ̀nà jíjìn wá, èmi ó sì fi òdodo fún Ẹlẹ́dàá mi.
4 For truly my words are free of falsehood; one perfect in knowledge is with you.
Rí i dájú pé ọ̀rọ̀ mi kì yóò ṣèké nítòótọ́; ẹni tí ó pé ní ìmọ̀ wà pẹ̀lú rẹ̀.
5 Indeed, God is mighty, but He despises no one; He is mighty in strength of understanding.
“Kíyèsi i, Ọlọ́run ni alágbára, òun kò i sì gàn ènìyàn; ó ní agbára ní ipá àti òye.
6 He does not keep the wicked alive, but He grants justice to the afflicted.
Òun kì í dá ẹ̀mí ènìyàn búburú sí, ṣùgbọ́n ó fi òtítọ́ fún àwọn tálákà.
7 He does not take His eyes off the righteous, but He enthrones them with kings and exalts them forever.
Òun kì í mú ojú rẹ̀ kúrò lára olódodo, ṣùgbọ́n àwọn ọba ni wọ́n wà lórí ìtẹ́; àní ó fi ìdí wọn múlẹ̀ láéláé, a sì gbé wọn lékè.
8 And if men are bound with chains, caught in cords of affliction,
Bí ó bá sì dè wọ́n nínú àbà, tí a sì fi okùn ìpọ́njú dè wọ́n,
9 then He tells them their deeds and how arrogantly they have transgressed.
nígbà náà ni ó ń sọ àwọn ohun tí wọn ti ṣe fún wọn, wí pé wọ́n ti ṣẹ̀ pẹ̀lú ìgbéraga wọn.
10 He opens their ears to correction and commands that they turn from iniquity.
Ó sí wọn létí pẹ̀lú sí ọ̀nà ẹ̀kọ́, ó sì pàṣẹ kí wọn kí ó padà kúrò nínú àìṣedédé.
11 If they obey and serve Him, then they end their days in prosperity and their years in happiness.
Bí wọ́n bá gbàgbọ́ tí wọ́n sì sìn ín, wọn ó lo ọjọ́ wọn ní ìrọ̀rùn, àti ọdún wọn nínú afẹ́.
12 But if they do not obey, then they perish by the sword and die without knowledge.
Ṣùgbọ́n, bí wọn kò bá gbàgbọ́, wọ́n ó ti ọwọ́ idà ṣègbé, wọ́n á sì kú láìní òye.
13 The godless in heart harbor resentment; even when He binds them, they do not cry for help.
“Ṣùgbọ́n àwọn àgàbàgebè ní ayé kó ìbínú jọ; wọn kò kígbe fún ìrànlọ́wọ́ nígbà tí ó bá wọ́n wí.
14 They die in their youth, among the male shrine prostitutes.
Nígbà náà ni ọkàn wọn yóò kú ní èwe, ní àárín àwọn ọkùnrin alágbèrè ojúbọ òrìṣà.
15 God rescues the afflicted by their affliction and opens their ears in oppression.
Òun gba òtòṣì nínú ìpọ́njú wọn, a sì sọ̀rọ̀ sí wọn ní etí nínú ìnira wọn.
16 Indeed, He drew you from the jaws of distress to a spacious and broad place, to a table full of richness.
“Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni pẹ̀lúpẹ̀lú ó fa wọn yọ láti inú ìhágágá sí ibi gbòòrò, sí ibi tí ó ní ààyè tí kò ní wàhálà nínú rẹ̀, ohun tí a sì gbé kalẹ̀ ní tábìlì rẹ̀ jẹ́ kìkì ọ̀rá oúnjẹ tí ó fẹ́.
17 But now you are laden with the judgment due the wicked; judgment and justice have seized you.
Ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ kún fún ìdájọ́ àwọn búburú; ìdájọ́ àti òtítọ́ dì ọ́ mú.
18 Be careful that no one lures you with riches; do not let a large bribe lead you astray.
Nítorí ìbínú ń bẹ, ṣọ́ra kí òtítọ́ rẹ máa bá a tàn ọ; láti jẹ́ kí títóbi rẹ mú ọ ṣìnà.
19 Can your wealth or all your mighty effort keep you from distress?
Ọrọ̀ rẹ pọ̀ tó, tí wàhálà kì yóò fi dé bá ọ bí? Tàbí ipa agbára rẹ?
20 Do not long for the night, when people vanish from their homes.
Má ṣe ìfẹ́ òru, nígbà tí a ń ké àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè kúrò ní ipò wọn.
21 Be careful not to turn to iniquity, for this you have preferred to affliction.
Máa ṣọ́ra kí ìwọ ki ó má yí ara rẹ̀ padà sí búburú, nítorí èyí tí ìwọ rò pé ó dára jù ìpọ́njú lọ.
22 Behold, God is exalted in His power. Who is a teacher like Him?
“Kíyèsi i, Ọlọ́run ni gbéga nípa agbára rẹ̀; ta ni jẹ́ olùkọ́ni bí rẹ̀?
23 Who has appointed His way for Him, or told Him, ‘You have done wrong’?
Ta ni ó là ọ̀nà iṣẹ́ rẹ̀ sílẹ̀ fún un, tàbí ta ni ó lè wí pé ìwọ ti ń ṣe àìṣedéédéé?
24 Remember to magnify His work, which men have praised in song.
Rántí kí ìwọ kí ó gbé iṣẹ́ rẹ̀ ga, ti ènìyàn ni yín nínú orin.
25 All mankind has seen it; men behold it from afar.
Olúkúlùkù ènìyàn a máa rí i; ẹni ikú a máa wò ó ní òkèrè.
26 Indeed, God is great—beyond our knowledge; the number of His years is unsearchable.
Kíyèsi i, Ọlọ́run tóbi, àwa kò sì mọ̀ bí ó ti ní òye tó, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni a kò lè wádìí iye ọdún rẹ̀ rí.
27 For He draws up drops of water which distill the rain from the mist,
“Nítorí pé òun ni ó fa ìkán omi òjò sílẹ̀, kí wọn kí ó kán bí òjò ní ìkùùkuu rẹ̀,
28 which the clouds pour out and shower abundantly on mankind.
tí àwọsánmọ̀ ń rọ̀ ìrì rẹ̀ sílẹ̀, tí ó sì fi ń sẹ̀ lọ́pọ̀lọ́pọ̀ lórí ènìyàn.
29 Furthermore, who can understand how the clouds spread out, how the thunder roars from His pavilion?
Pẹ̀lúpẹ̀lú ǹjẹ́ ẹnikẹ́ni lè ní ìmọ̀ ìtànká àwọsánmọ̀, tàbí ariwo àrá láti àgọ́ rẹ̀?
30 See how He scatters His lightning around Him and covers the depths of the sea.
Kíyèsi i, ó tan ìmọ́lẹ̀ yí ara rẹ̀ ká ó sì bo ìsàlẹ̀ òkun mọ́lẹ̀.
31 For by these He judges the nations and provides food in abundance.
Nítorí pé nípa wọn ní ń ṣe dájọ́ àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè ènìyàn; ó sí ń pèsè oúnjẹ ní ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀.
32 He fills His hands with lightning and commands it to strike its mark.
Ó fi ìmọ́lẹ̀ bo ọwọ́ rẹ̀ méjèèjì ó sì rán an sí ẹni olódì.
33 The thunder declares His presence; even the cattle regard the rising storm.
Ariwo àrá rẹ̀ fi ìjì hàn ní; ọ̀wọ́ ẹran pẹ̀lú wí pé, ó súnmọ́ etílé!
