< Job 34 >
2 “Hear my words, O wise men; give ear to me, O men of learning.
“Inzwai mashoko angu, imi vanhu vakachenjera; nditeererei, imi vanhu vedzidzo.
3 For the ear tests words as the mouth tastes food.
Nokuti nzeve inoedza mazwi sokuravira kunoita rurimi chokudya.
4 Let us choose for ourselves what is right; let us learn together what is good.
Ngatinzverei pachedu kuti chakarurama ndechipi; ngatidzidzei pamwe chete kuti chakanaka ndechipi.
5 For Job has declared, ‘I am righteous, yet God has deprived me of justice.
“Jobho anoti, ‘Handina mhosva, asi Mwari anoramba kundiruramisira.
6 Would I lie about my case? My wound is incurable, though I am without transgression.’
Kunyange ndakarurama, ndinonzi ndiri murevi wenhema; kunyange ndisina mhaka, museve wake unobaya ronda risingarapiki.’
7 What man is like Job, who drinks up derision like water?
Ndianiko munhu akaita saJobho, anonwa kushorwa semvura?
8 He keeps company with evildoers and walks with wicked men.
Anofambidzana navanoita zvakaipa; anowirirana navanhu vakaipa.
9 For he has said, ‘It profits a man nothing that he should delight in God.’
Nokuti anoti, ‘Munhu haana chaanobatsirwa nacho, paanoedza kufadza Mwari.’
10 Therefore listen to me, O men of understanding. Far be it from God to do wrong, and from the Almighty to act unjustly.
“Saka nditeererei, imi vanhu vokunzwisisa. Mwari haangatongoiti zvakaipa, Wamasimba Ose haangatongokanganisi.
11 For according to a man’s deeds He repays him; according to a man’s ways He brings consequences.
Anoripira munhu pane zvaanenge aita; anoisa pamusoro pake zvakakodzera mafambiro ake.
12 Indeed, it is true that God does not act wickedly, and the Almighty does not pervert justice.
Hazvingatongogoni kuti Mwari angaita zvakaipa, kuti Wamasimba Ose angaminamisa kururamisira.
13 Who gave Him charge over the earth? Who appointed Him over the whole world?
Ndianiko akamugadza pamusoro penyika? Ndianiko akamuita mutariri wepasi pose?
14 If He were to set His heart to it and withdraw His Spirit and breath,
Kana kwaiva kufunga kwake, uye akatora mweya wake nokufema kwake,
15 all flesh would perish together and mankind would return to the dust.
marudzi ose avanhu aiparara pamwe chete, uye munhu aizodzokerazve kuguruva.
16 If you have understanding, hear this; listen to my words.
“Kana uchinzwisisa teerera izvi; chinzwa zvandinoreva.
17 Could one who hates justice govern? Will you condemn the just and mighty One,
Ko, munhu anovenga kururamisira angatonga here? Ko, muchapomera akarurama uye ane simba here?
18 who says to kings, ‘You are worthless!’ and to nobles, ‘You are wicked,’
Ko, haazi iye anoti kumadzimambo, ‘Hamubatsiri imi,’ uye kumakurukota, ‘Makaipa imi,’
19 who is not partial to princes and does not favor rich over poor? For they are all the work of His hands.
asingaitiri machinda zvakanaka nokuti machinda, uye asingaitiri zvakanaka vapfumi kupfuura varombo, nokuti vose ibasa ramaoko ake?
20 They die in an instant, in the middle of the night. The people convulse and pass away; the mighty are removed without human hand.
Vanofa kamwe kamwe, pakati pousiku; vanhu vanovhundutswa vagoparara; vane simba vanobviswa zvisingaitwi noruoko rwomunhu.
21 For His eyes are on the ways of a man, and He sees his every step.
“Meso ake ari panzira dzavanhu; anoona nhambwe imwe neimwe yavo.
22 There is no darkness or deep shadow where the workers of iniquity can hide.
Hakuna nzvimbo ine rima, hakuna mumvuri wakadzama, pangavanda vaiti vezvakaipa.
23 For God need not examine a man further or have him approach for judgment.
Mwari haanei nezvokuedzazve vanhu, kuti vauye vamire pamberi pake vagotongwa.
24 He shatters the mighty without inquiry and sets up others in their place.
Anoparadza vane simba asina kumbobvunza, agogadza vamwe panzvimbo yavo.
25 Therefore, He recognizes their deeds; He overthrows them in the night and they are crushed.
Nokuti anocherechedza mabasa avo, anovabvisa usiku uye vanopwanyiwa.
26 He strikes them for their wickedness in full view,
Anovaranga nokuda kwokuipa kwavo, pavanoonekwa nomunhu wose,
27 because they turned aside from Him and had no regard for any of His ways.
nokuti vakatsauka pakumutevera uye havana kuva nehanya kana neimwe yenzira dzake.
28 They caused the cry of the poor to come before Him, and He heard the outcry of the afflicted.
Vakakonzera kuchema kwavarombo kuti kusvike pamberi pake, zvokuti akanzwa kuchema kwavanoshayiwa.
29 But when He remains silent, who can condemn Him? When He hides His face, who can see Him? Yet He watches over both man and nation,
Asi kana akaramba anyerere ndiani angamupa mhosva? Kana akavanza chiso chake, ndianiko angamuona? Zvakadaro iye ari pamusoro pazvose, munhu nendudzi,
30 that godless men should not rule or lay snares for the people.
kuti abvise munhu asina umwari pakutonga, kuti asaisira vanhu misungo.
31 Suppose someone says to God, ‘I have endured my punishment; I will offend no more.
“Ngatiti munhu oti kuna Mwari, ‘Ndine mhaka asi handichatadzazve.
32 Teach me what I cannot see; if I have done wrong, I will not do it again.’
Ndidzidzisei zvandisingagoni kuona; kana ndakaita zvakaipa, handichazviitizve.’
33 Should God repay you on your own terms when you have disavowed His? You must choose, not I; so tell me what you know.
Ko, Mwari angafanira kukupa mubayiro sezvaunoda iwe here, zvaunoramba kutendeuka? Unofanira kusarudza iwe, kwete ini; saka nditaurire zvaunoziva.
34 Men of understanding will declare to me, and the wise men who hear me will say:
“Imi vanhu vokunzwisisa taurai, vanhu vakachenjera munondinzwa muti kwandiri,
35 ‘Job speaks without knowledge; his words lack insight.’
‘Jobho anotaura asina zivo; mashoko ake haana uchenjeri.’
36 If only Job were tried to the utmost for answering like a wicked man.
Haiwa, dai Jobho aedzwa kusvikira pakupedzisira, nokuti anopindura somunhu akaipa!
37 For he adds rebellion to his sin; he claps his hands among us and multiplies his words against God.”
Pachivi chake anowedzera kumukira; anouchira maoko ake pakati pedu sezvisina basa, uye anowedzera mashoko ake okurwa naMwari.”
