Job 20
1 Then Zophar the Naamathite replied:
ನಾಮಾಥ್ಯನಾದ ಚೋಫರನು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ:
2 “So my anxious thoughts compel me to answer, because of the turmoil within me.
“ನಾನು ತುಂಬಾ ಕಳವಳಗೊಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದ, ನನ್ನ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಉತ್ತರಿಸಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದವು.
3 I have heard a rebuke that insults me, and my understanding prompts a reply.
ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅವಮಾನಿಸುವ ಖಂಡನೆಯನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಉತ್ತರಿಸಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
4 Do you not know that from antiquity, since man was placed on the earth,
“ದೇವರು ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಿಸಿದ ಕಾಲದಿಂದ ವಿಷಯ ಹೇಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದು ನಿನಗೆ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಗೊತ್ತಿದೆ.
5 the triumph of the wicked has been brief and the joy of the godless momentary?
ದುಷ್ಟರ ಜಯವು ಅಲ್ಪ ಕಾಲ, ಭಕ್ತಿಹೀನರ ಸಂತೋಷವು ಕ್ಷಣ ಮಾತ್ರ.
6 Though his arrogance reaches the heavens, and his head touches the clouds,
ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯು ಆಕಾಶಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿದರೂ, ಅವನ ತಲೆ ಮೇಘಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಟ್ಟಿದರೂ,
7 he will perish forever, like his own dung; those who had seen him will ask, ‘Where is he?’
ಗೊಬ್ಬರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ಅವನು ನಾಶವಾಗುವನು; ಅವನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದವರು, ‘ಅವನೆಲ್ಲಿ?’ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳುವರು.
8 He will fly away like a dream, never to be found; he will be chased away like a vision in the night.
ಭಕ್ತಿಹೀನನು ಕನಸಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಹಾರಿಹೋಗುವನು, ಇನ್ನೆಂದಿಗೂ ಸಿಗಲಾರನು; ಅವನು ಕತ್ತಲೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಕಾಣದೆ ಹೋಗುವನು.
9 The eye that saw him will see him no more, and his place will no longer behold him.
ಅವನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದವರು ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ನೋಡರು; ಅವನ ಸ್ಥಳವು ಇನ್ನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಾಣದು.
10 His sons will seek the favor of the poor, for his own hands must return his wealth.
ಅವನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಬಡವರ ದಯೆಯನ್ನು ಬೇಡುವರು; ಅವನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಕೈಗಳು ಅವನ ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನು ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿಸಬೇಕಾಗುವುದು.
11 The youthful vigor that fills his bones will lie down with him in the dust.
ಅವನ ಎಲುಬುಗಳು ಯೌವನದ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿತ್ತು, ಅದು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಧೂಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲಗುವುದು.
12 Though evil is sweet in his mouth and he conceals it under his tongue,
“ಅವನ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನವು ಬಾಯಿಗೆ ಸಿಹಿಯಾಗಿತ್ತು, ಅವನು ನಾಲಿಗೆಯ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಬಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದನು.
13 though he cannot bear to let it go and keeps it in his mouth,
ಅದನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಡಲು ಇಷ್ಟಪಡದೆ, ತನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಯೊಳಗೆ ದೀರ್ಘಸಮಯ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡರೂ,
14 yet in his stomach his food sours into the venom of cobras within him.
ಅವನ ಆಹಾರವು ಅವನ ಕರುಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಳಿಯಾಗಿ, ಅದು ಅವನೊಳಗಿನ ಸರ್ಪಗಳ ವಿಷವಾಗುವುದು.
15 He swallows wealth but vomits it out; God will force it from his stomach.
ಅವನು ನುಂಗಿದ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಾರಿಬಿಡುವನು; ಅವನ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ದೇವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಹೊರಡಿಸಿ ಬಿಡುವನು.
16 He will suck the poison of cobras; the fangs of a viper will kill him.
ಅವನು ಸರ್ಪಗಳ ವಿಷವನ್ನು ಹೀರುವನು; ಹಾವಿನ ನಾಲಿಗೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವುದು.
17 He will not enjoy the streams, the rivers flowing with honey and cream.
ಅವನು ಜೇನು, ಮೊಸರೂ ಹರಿಯುವ ಹಳ್ಳಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಿ ಹರಿಯುವ ನದಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ನೋಡನು.
18 He must return the fruit of his labor without consuming it; he cannot enjoy the profits of his trading.
ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಯಾಸದ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಸವಿಯದೆ ಪರರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಬೇಕಾಗುವುದು; ಅವನು ತಾನು ಪಡೆದ ಲಾಭದ ಆನಂದವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
19 For he has oppressed and forsaken the poor; he has seized houses he did not build.
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವನು ಬಡವರನ್ನು ಜಜ್ಜಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಗತಿಕರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದನು; ತಾನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸದ ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ವಶಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
20 Because his appetite is never satisfied, he cannot escape with his treasure.
“ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಅವನ ಆಕಾಂಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ತೃಪ್ತಿ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಇಷ್ಟ ಸಂಪತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಏನೂ ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
21 Nothing is left for him to consume; thus his prosperity will not endure.
ಅವನಿಗೆ ಆಹಾರವು ಉಳಿಯದು; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯು ಅಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿರುವುದು.
22 In the midst of his plenty, he will be distressed; the full force of misery will come upon him.
ಅವನ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಾಗುವುದು; ಘೋರ ದುಃಖವು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುವುದು.
23 When he has filled his stomach, God will vent His fury upon him, raining it down on him as he eats.
ಅವನ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ತುಂಬುವಾಗ, ದೇವದಂಡನೆ ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುವುದು; ಹೌದು, ದೇವದಂಡನೆಯು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುರಿಯುವುದು.
24 Though he flees from an iron weapon, a bronze-tipped arrow will pierce him.
ಅವನು ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ಆಯುಧಕ್ಕೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಓಡಿಹೋದರೆ, ಕಂಚಿನ ಬಾಣ ಅವನನ್ನು ತಿವಿಯುವುದು.
25 It is drawn out of his back, the gleaming point from his liver. Terrors come over him.
ಅವನು ಆ ಬಾಣವನ್ನು ಎಳೆದರೆ, ಅದು ಬೆನ್ನಿನಿಂದ ಹೊರಡುವುದು; ಅವನ ಪಿತ್ತಕೋಶದಿಂದ ಅದರ ಮಿಂಚುವ ಮೊನೆ ಬರುವುದು; ಸಾವಿನ ಭಯವು ಅವನನ್ನೂ ಆವರಿಸುವುದು.
26 Total darkness is reserved for his treasures. A fire unfanned will consume him and devour what is left in his tent.
ಅವನ ನಿಕ್ಷೇಪಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಧಕಾರವು ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಕವಿಯುವುದು; ಯಾರೂ ಹೊತ್ತಿಸದ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ದಹಿಸುವುದು; ಅವನ ಗುಡಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದದ್ದೆಲ್ಲ ನಾಶವಾಗುವುದು.
27 The heavens will expose his iniquity, and the earth will rise up against him.
ಆಕಾಶವು ಅವನ ಅಪರಾಧವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸುವುದು; ಭೂಮಿಯು ಅವನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಏಳುವುದು.
28 The possessions of his house will be removed, flowing away on the day of God’s wrath.
ಅವನ ಮನೆಯ ಧನಧಾನ್ಯವು ತೊಲಗಿ ಹೋಗುವುದು; ದೇವದಂಡನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದು ಪ್ರವಾಹದಿಂದ ಕೊಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವುದು.
29 This is the wicked man’s portion from God, the inheritance God has appointed him.”
ದುಷ್ಟನಿಗೆ ದೇವರಿಂದ ಬರುವ ಪಾಲೂ, ಅವನಿಗೆ ನೇಮವಾಗಿರುವ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಯೂ ಇವೇ.”
