Job 18
1 Then Bildad the Shuhite replied:
૧એટલે બિલ્દાદ શૂહીએ જવાબ આપ્યો અને કહ્યું કે,
2 “How long until you end these speeches? Show some sense, and then we can talk.
૨“તારા શબ્દોનો અંત લાવ. વિચાર કરો અને પછી અમે વાત કરીશું.
3 Why are we regarded as cattle, as stupid in your sight?
૩અમે પશુઓની માફક કેમ ગણાઈએ છીએ? અને શા માટે તારી નજરમાં મૂર્ખ થયા છીએ?
4 You who tear yourself in anger— should the earth be forsaken on your account, or the rocks be moved from their place?
૪તું જ તારા ક્રોધથી તારી જાતને દુ: ખ પહોંચાડી રહ્યો છે. શું તારા માટે પૃથ્વીનો ત્યાગ કરવામાં આવશે? અથવા શું ખડકને પોતાને સ્થાનેથી ખસેડવામાં આવશે?
5 Indeed, the lamp of the wicked is extinguished; the flame of his fire does not glow.
૫હા, દુષ્ટ લોકોનો દીવો હોલવી નાખવામાં આવશે; તેનો અગ્નિ બળતો બંધ થઈ જશે.
6 The light in his tent grows dark, and the lamp beside him goes out.
૬તેના ઘરમાં અજવાળું અંધકારરૂપ થશે; તેની પાસેનો તેનો દીવો હોલવી નાખવામાં આવશે.
7 His vigorous stride is shortened, and his own schemes trip him up.
૭તેનાં પગલાં મંદ પડી જશે. તેની પોતાની યોજનાઓ તેને નીચે પાડશે.
8 For his own feet lead him into a net, and he wanders into its mesh.
૮તેના પોતાના પગોએ તેને જાળમાં નાખ્યો છે; તે જાળમાં ગૂંચવાયા કરે છે.
9 A trap seizes his heel; a snare grips him.
૯ફાંદો તેના પગની પાની પકડી લેશે, અને ફાંદો તેને ફસાવશે.
10 A noose is hidden in the ground, and a trap lies in his path.
૧૦જમીનમાં તેને સારુ જાળ; અને માર્ગમાં તેને ફસાવવાને સારુ ખાડો ખોદાયેલો છે.
11 Terrors frighten him on every side and harass his every step.
૧૧ચારેકોર ભય તેને ગભરાવશે; તે તેની પાછળ પડશે.
12 His strength is depleted, and calamity is ready at his side.
૧૨ભૂખથી તેનું બળ ક્ષીણ થઈ જશે. વિનાશ તેની પડખે તૈયાર રહેશે.
13 It devours patches of his skin; the firstborn of death devours his limbs.
૧૩તે તેના શરીરની ચામડીને કોરી ખાશે. ભયંકર રોગ તે અવયવોને નાશ કરશે.
14 He is torn from the shelter of his tent and is marched off to the king of terrors.
૧૪પોતાનો તંબુ કે જેના પર તે વિશ્વાસ રાખે છે તેમાંથી તેને ઉખેડી નાખવામાં આવશે; અને તેને ભયના રાજાની હજૂરમાં લાવવામાં આવશે.
15 Fire resides in his tent; burning sulfur rains down on his dwelling.
૧૫જેઓ તેનાં નથી તેઓ તેના તંબુમાં વસશે; એના તંબુ પર ગંધક છાંટવામાં આવશે.
16 The roots beneath him dry up, and the branches above him wither away.
૧૬તેની નીચેથી મુળિયાં સુકાઈ જશે; તેની ઉપરની ડાળીઓ કાપી નંખાશે.
17 The memory of him perishes from the earth, and he has no name in the land.
૧૭તેનું સ્મરણ પૃથ્વીમાંથી નાશ પામશે. અને ગલીઓમાં તેનું નામનિશાન રહેશે નહિ.
18 He is driven from light into darkness and is chased from the inhabited world.
૧૮પ્રકાશમાંથી તેને અંધકારમાં ધકેલી દેવામાં આવશે અને જગતમાંથી તેને હાંકી કાઢવામાં આવશે.
19 He has no offspring or posterity among his people, no survivor where he once lived.
૧૯તેને કોઈ સંતાન કે પૌત્ર, પૌત્રીઓ હશે નહિ. તેના કુટુંબમાંથી કોઈ જીવતું નહિ રહે.
20 Those in the west are appalled at his fate, while those in the east tremble in horror.
૨૦જેઓ પશ્ચિમમાં રહે છે તેઓ તેનાં દુર્દશાના દિવસ જોઈને આશ્ચર્ય પામશે. અને પૂર્વમાં રહેનારા પણ ભયભીત થશે.
21 Surely such is the dwelling of the wicked and the place of one who does not know God.”
૨૧નિશ્ચે દુષ્ટ લોકોનાં ઘર એવાં જ છે. જેને ઈશ્વરનું ડહાપણ નથી તેની દશા એવી જ છે.
