< Job 12 >

1 Then Job answered:
Na Hiob buae se,
2 “Truly then you are the people with whom wisdom itself will die!
“Akyinnye nni ho, mo ne nnipa no na muwu a na nyansa asa!
3 But I also have a mind; I am not inferior to you. Who does not know such things as these?
Nanso mewɔ adwene sɛ mo ara monnsen me.
4 I am a laughingstock to my friends, though I called on God, and He answered. The righteous and upright man is a laughingstock.
“Mayɛ aserewde ama me nnamfonom, mefrɛɛ Onyankopɔn na obuae, aserewde teta bi, nanso meteɛ na me ho nni asɛm.
5 The one at ease scorns misfortune as the fate of those whose feet are slipping.
Nnipa a wɔn ho tɔ wɔn no bu amanehunu animtiaa sɛnea wobu wɔn a wɔn nan rewatiri no awiei animtiaa no.
6 The tents of robbers are safe, and those who provoke God are secure— those who carry their god in their hands.
Wɔmmfa wɔn nsa nka akorɔmfo ntamadan, na wɔn a woyi Onyankopɔn abufuw wɔ bammɔ na Onyankopɔn bɔ nea ɔde ma wɔn ho ban.
7 But ask the animals, and they will instruct you; ask the birds of the air, and they will tell you.
“Bisa mmoa no, na wɔbɛkyerɛ wo anaasɛ wim nnomaa no, na wɔbɛka akyerɛ wo
8 Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you; let the fish of the sea inform you.
9 Which of all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this?
10 The life of every living thing is in His hand, as well as the breath of all mankind.
11 Does not the ear test words as the tongue tastes its food?
So aso nsɔ nsɛm nhwɛ sɛnea tɛkrɛma ka aduan hwɛ no ana?
12 Wisdom is found with the elderly, and understanding comes with long life.
13 Wisdom and strength belong to God; counsel and understanding are His.
“Nyansa ne tumi yɛ Onyankopɔn de; afotu ne ntease yɛ ne dea.
14 What He tears down cannot be rebuilt; the man He imprisons cannot be released.
Nea obubu gu no, obiara rentumi nsi; nea ɔde no to afiase no, obiara rentumi nyi no.
15 If He holds back the waters, they dry up, and if He releases them, they overwhelm the land.
Sɛ ɔma osu gyae tɔ a, asase no so yɛ wosee; sɛ ogyaa osutɔ mu a, ɛsɛe asase no.
16 True wisdom and power belong to Him. The deceived and the deceiver are His.
Ahoɔden ne nkonimdi yɛ ne de osisifo ne nea wosisi no no nso yɛ ne de.
17 He leads counselors away barefoot and makes fools of judges.
18 He loosens the bonds placed by kings and fastens a belt around their waists.
Ɔworɔw ahemfo nkyehama na ɔde abɔso bɔ wɔn asen.
19 He leads priests away barefoot and overthrows the established.
Ɔpa asɔfo ho ntama, na otu nnipa a wɔn ase atim akyɛ gu.
20 He deprives the trusted of speech and takes away the discernment of elders.
Ɔka afotufo a wogye wɔn di no kasaboa hyɛ, na ogye mpanyimfo nhumu.
21 He pours out contempt on nobles and disarms the mighty.
Ɔde animguase gu atitiriw so na otintim gye ahoɔdenfo nsam akode.
22 He reveals the deep things of darkness and brings deep shadows into light.
Ɔda sum mu nneɛma a ahintaw adi na ɔde sum kabii ba hann mu.
23 He makes nations great and destroys them; He enlarges nations, then disperses them.
Ɔyɛ aman akɛse, na ɔsɛe wɔn; ɔtrɛw aman mu, na ɔhwete wɔn mu.
24 He deprives the earth’s leaders of reason and makes them wander in a trackless wasteland.
Ogye wiase akannifo adwene fi wɔn nsam; na ɔma wokyinkyin asase wosee a ɔkwan nna so so.
25 They grope in the darkness without light; He makes them stagger like drunkards.
Wɔkeka wɔ sum mu a wonni kanea; na ɔma wɔtɔ ntintan sɛ asabowfo.”
