< Job 12 >
2 “Truly then you are the people with whom wisdom itself will die!
“Aok, komtal aolla pusren mwet uh. Komtal fin misa, na lalmwetmet ac fah wi komtal na misa.
3 But I also have a mind; I am not inferior to you. Who does not know such things as these?
Tusruktu oasr pacna ma nga etu oana komtal; Wanginna ma nga ten liki komtal kac; Mwet nukewa etu ma komtal fahk an.
4 I am a laughingstock to my friends, though I called on God, and He answered. The righteous and upright man is a laughingstock.
Finne mwet kawuk luk, elos isrunyu pac in pacl inge; Nga ne suwoswosna ac wangin mwetik, a elos isrun yu pacna; Tusruktu, oasr pacl God El tuh topuk pre luk.
5 The one at ease scorns misfortune as the fate of those whose feet are slipping.
Komtal tiana pula ma upa, a komtal isrunyu; Komtal sringilya mwet se ma apkuran in ikori uh.
6 The tents of robbers are safe, and those who provoke God are secure— those who carry their god in their hands.
Mwet pisrapasr ac mwet koluk elos mutana in misla, A pwayena god lalos pa ku lalos sifacna.
7 But ask the animals, and they will instruct you; ask the birds of the air, and they will tell you.
“Finne won ku kosro lemnak uh, oasr pac ma elos ku in luti nu sumtal;
8 Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you; let the fish of the sea inform you.
Siyuk lalmwetmet sin ma orakrak fin faclu ac ik in meoa uh.
9 Which of all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this?
Elos nukewa etu lah poun God pa oralosla uh.
10 The life of every living thing is in His hand, as well as the breath of all mankind.
God pa kol moul lun ma El orala inge; Moul lun mwet nukewa oan ye ku lal.
11 Does not the ear test words as the tongue tastes its food?
Tusruktu, insremtal engan in lohng kas uh, Oana ke loumtal lungse ema mwe mongo.
12 Wisdom is found with the elderly, and understanding comes with long life.
“Lalmwetmet oasr sin mwet matu uh, Ke elos matuoh, yohk etauk lalos.
13 Wisdom and strength belong to God; counsel and understanding are His.
Tusruktu God El sisani kewa lalmwetmet ac ku; El liyaten ac sessesla ke lalmwetmet.
14 What He tears down cannot be rebuilt; the man He imprisons cannot be released.
God El fin ikruiya sie ma, su ku in sifilpa tulokunak? God El fin kapriya sie mwet, su ac ku in tulala?
15 If He holds back the waters, they dry up, and if He releases them, they overwhelm the land.
Faclu ac paola God El fin tulokinya af uh; Sronot uh tuku ke El fuhlela af upa uh.
16 True wisdom and power belong to Him. The deceived and the deceiver are His.
“God El ku ac El kutangla pacl nukewa; Mwet kikiap ac mwet ma kiapweyukla kewa oan ye ku lal.
17 He leads counselors away barefoot and makes fools of judges.
El eisla nunak lalmwetmet lun mwet leum, Ac oru mwet kol uh in orekma oana mwet lalfon.
18 He loosens the bonds placed by kings and fastens a belt around their waists.
El sisla tokosra uh liki nien muta fulat lalos, ac oru tuh elos in mwet kapir;
19 He leads priests away barefoot and overthrows the established.
El akpusiselye mwet tol ac mwet ma oasr wal la uh.
20 He deprives the trusted of speech and takes away the discernment of elders.
El kaliya oalin mwet lulalfongiyuk uh in tia kaskas, Ac El eisla lalmwetmet lun mwet matu lukelos.
21 He pours out contempt on nobles and disarms the mighty.
El akmwekinye mwet leum uh Ac tulokinya ku lun mwet kol uh.
22 He reveals the deep things of darkness and brings deep shadows into light.
El tolak yen lohsr, aok yen lohsr lun misa.
23 He makes nations great and destroys them; He enlarges nations, then disperses them.
El oru kutu mutunfacl uh in yohk ac pwengpeng, Na El sifilpa kutangulosla ac kunauselosla.
24 He deprives the earth’s leaders of reason and makes them wander in a trackless wasteland.
El oru mwet leum lalos in lalfonla Ac fuhlela elos forfor oana mwet fohsak ac tuhlac;
25 They grope in the darkness without light; He makes them stagger like drunkards.
Elos kahlimin acn lohsr uh, ac tukulkul oana mwet sruhi uh.
