Jeremiah 48
1 Concerning Moab, this is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: “Woe to Nebo, for it will be devastated. Kiriathaim will be captured and disgraced; the fortress will be shattered and dismantled.
१मवाबाविषयी सेनाधीश परमेश्वर, इस्राएलांचा देव, असे म्हणतोः “नबोला हायहाय, कारण ते उध्वस्त झाले आहे. किर्या-थाईम काबीज केले गेले आहे आणि त्याची मानहानी झाली आहे. तिचे किल्ले पाडण्यात आणि अप्रतिष्ठीत केले गेले आहेत.
2 There is no longer praise for Moab; in Heshbon they devise evil against her: ‘Come, let us cut her off from nationhood.’ You too, O people of Madmen, will be silenced; the sword will pursue you.
२मवाबाचा आदर राहिला नाही. हेशबोनात त्यांच्या शत्रूने तिच्याविरूद्ध अनिष्ट योजिले आहे. ते म्हणाले, ‘या व आपण तिचा राष्ट्राप्रमाणे नाश करू.’ मदमेनासुद्धा नाश होईल, तलवार तुझ्या पाठीस लागेल.
3 A voice cries out from Horonaim: ‘Devastation and great destruction!’
३पाहा, होरोनाईमातून जुलूम व मोठा नाश होत आहे, असा किंकाळीचा आवाज येत आहे.
4 Moab will be shattered; her little ones will cry out.
४मवाबाचा नाश झाला आहे. तिची मुले ऐकू येईल असे रडत आहे.
5 For on the ascent to Luhith they weep bitterly as they go, and on the descent to Horonaim cries of distress resound over the destruction:
५ते रडत रडत लूहीथाच्या टेकडीवर चढत आहेत, कारण खाली होरोनाईमाच्या रस्त्यांवर नाशामुळे किंकाळ्या ऐकू येत आहेत.
6 ‘Flee! Run for your lives! Become like a juniper in the desert.’
६पळा! आपले जीव वाचवा व रानातल्या झाडाप्रमाणे व्हा.
7 Because you trust in your works and treasures, you too will be captured, and Chemosh will go into exile with his priests and officials.
७कारण तू आपल्या कर्मावर आणि संपत्ती यावर भाव ठेवला आहे, म्हणून तुही पकडला जाशील. मग कमोश आपले याजक आणि पुढाऱ्यांसह बंदिवासात जाईल.
8 The destroyer will move against every city, and not one town will escape. The valley will also be ruined, and the high plain will be destroyed, as the LORD has said.
८कारण नाश करणारा प्रत्येक नगरात येईल. एकही नगर सुटणार नाही. परमेश्वराने म्हटल्याप्रमाणे दरीचा नाश होईल व पठारेही उध्वस्त होतील.
9 Put salt on Moab, for she will be laid waste; her cities will become desolate, with no one to dwell in them.
९मवाबाला पंख द्या, कारण तिला खचित दूर उडून जाता यावे. तिची नगरे टाकाऊ होतील, तेथे त्यामध्ये कोणी राहणार नाही.
10 Cursed is the one who is remiss in doing the work of the LORD, and cursed is he who withholds his sword from bloodshed.
१०जो कोणी परमेश्वराच्या कामात आळशी आहे तो शापीत आहे; आणि जो कोणी आपली तलवार रक्तपातापासून आवरतो तोही शापित आहे.
11 Moab has been at ease from youth, settled like wine on its dregs; he has not been poured from vessel to vessel or gone into exile. So his flavor has remained the same, and his aroma is unchanged.

12 Therefore behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will send to him wanderers, who will pour him out. They will empty his vessels and shatter his jars.

13 Then Moab will be ashamed of Chemosh, just as the house of Israel was ashamed when they trusted in Bethel.
१३मग जसे इस्राएलाचे घराणे आपल्या भरवशाचा विषय जे बेथेल त्यासंबंधी लज्जित झाला तसा मवाब कमोशाविषयी लज्जित होईल.
14 How can you say, ‘We are warriors, mighty men ready for battle’?
१४“आम्ही सैनिक, बलवान लढणारी माणसे आहोत असे तुम्ही कसे म्हणू शकता?
15 Moab has been destroyed and its towns have been invaded; the best of its young men have gone down in the slaughter, declares the King, whose name is the LORD of Hosts.
१५मवाब उजाड होईल आणि त्याच्या नगरावर हल्ला होईल. कारण त्याचे उत्तम तरुण वधाच्या जागी खाली उतरून गेले आहेत.” हे राजाचे सांगणे आहे, त्याचे नाव सेनाधीश परमेश्वर आहे.
16 Moab’s calamity is at hand, and his affliction is rushing swiftly.
१६मवाबाचे अरिष्ट लवकरच घडणार आहे; त्याची विपत्ती अत्यंत त्वरा करीत आहे.
17 Mourn for him, all you who surround him, everyone who knows his name; tell how the mighty scepter is shattered— the glorious staff!
१७जे सर्व तुम्ही मवाबासभोवती आहात विलाप कराल. आणि जे सर्व तुम्ही त्याची किर्ती जाणता, ते तुम्ही त्याच्यासाठी आक्रंदन करा, बळकट दंड, आदराची काठी तुटली आहे.
18 Come down from your glory; sit on parched ground, O daughter dwelling in Dibon, for the destroyer of Moab has come against you; he has destroyed your fortresses.
१८अगे तू दीबोनात राहणाऱ्या कन्ये, तू आपल्या मानाच्या जागेवरून खाली ये आणि कोरड्या जमिनीवर बस. कारण मवाबाचा विनाश करणारा तुझ्यावर आला आहे तो तुझे बालेकिल्ले नष्ट करील.
19 Stand by the road and watch, O dweller of Aroer! Ask the man fleeing or the woman escaping, ‘What has happened?’
१९अरोएरात राहणाऱ्या लोकांनो, रस्त्यावर उभे राहा आणि पाहा! जे कोणी पळून व निसटून जात आहेत, त्यांना विचारा, काय झाले आहे?
20 Moab is put to shame, for it has been shattered. Wail and cry out! Declare by the Arnon that Moab is destroyed.
२०मवाब लज्जित झाला आहे, कारण त्याचे तुकडे तुकडे झाले आहेत. आक्रोश आणि विलाप करा; मदतीसाठी रडा. मवाबाचा नाश झाला आहे आर्णोन नदीकाठच्या लोकांस सांगा.
21 Judgment has come upon the high plain— upon Holon, Jahzah, and Mephaath,

22 upon Dibon, Nebo, and Beth-diblathaim,
२२दीबोन, नबो, बेथ-दिबलाथाईम
23 upon Kiriathaim, Beth-gamul, and Beth-meon,
२३किर्या-थाईम, बेथ-गामूल व बेथ-मौन यांचा
24 upon Kerioth, Bozrah, and all the towns of Moab, those far and near.
२४करोयोथ, बस्रा व मवाब देशामधील दूरची व जवळची नगरे यांवर न्यायनिवाडा आला आहे.
25 The horn of Moab has been cut off, and his arm is broken,”
२५मवाबाचे शिंग तोडून टाकले आहे. त्याचा बाहू मोडला आहे. असे परमेश्वर म्हणतो.
26 “Make him drunk, because he has magnified himself against the LORD; so Moab will wallow in his own vomit, and he will also become a laughingstock.
२६“त्याला बेहोश करा, कारण त्याने परमेश्वराविरूद्ध गर्वाने कृती केली आहे. आता मवाब स्वत: च्याच वांतीत हाताने टाळ्या वाजविल, म्हणून तोही हास्यविषय होईल.
27 Was not Israel your object of ridicule? Was he ever found among thieves? For whenever you speak of him you shake your head.
२७कारण इस्राएल तुझ्या हास्याचा विषय झाला नव्हता का? तो चोरांमध्ये सापडला होता का? जितकेदा तू त्याच्याविषयी बोललास तितकेदा तू आपली मान हालवलीस.
28 Abandon the towns and settle among the rocks, O dwellers of Moab! Be like a dove that nests at the mouth of a cave.
२८मवाबात राहणाऱ्यांनो, नगरे सोडून द्या आणि सुळक्यावर तळ द्या. खडकाच्या खळग्याच्या तोंडावर घरटे करणाऱ्या पारव्यांसारखे व्हा.”
29 We have heard of Moab’s pomposity, his exceeding pride and conceit, his proud arrogance and haughtiness of heart.
२९“आम्ही मवाबाचा गर्व ऐकला आहे. त्याचा उद्धटपणा, त्याचा गर्विष्ठपणा, अहंकार, अभिमान आणि त्याच्या हृदयातली उन्मत्तता ही आम्ही ऐकली आहे.”
30 I know his insolence,” declares the LORD, “but it is futile. His boasting is as empty as his deeds.
३०परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, मला स्वतःला त्याचे उर्मट बोलणे, त्याच्या कृत्यासारखी त्याची पोकळ बढाई मला माहित आहे.
31 Therefore I will wail for Moab; I will cry out for all of Moab; I will moan for the men of Kir-heres.
३१म्हणून मी मवाबासाठी आक्रोश करून विलाप करीन आणि सर्व मवाबासाठी दुःखाने आरोळी मारीन. कीर हरेसाच्या लोकांसाठी मी आक्रंदन करील.
32 I will weep for you, O vine of Sibmah, more than I weep for Jazer. Your tendrils have extended to the sea; they reach even to Jazer. The destroyer has descended on your summer fruit and grape harvest.
३२हे सिब्मेच्या द्राक्षवेली, मी याजेरासाठी रडलो त्यापेक्षा तुझ्यासाठी मी अधिक रडेन. तुझ्या फांद्या क्षारसमुद्रापलीकडे गेल्या होत्या आणि त्या याजेरापर्यंत पोहोचल्या होत्या; पण विनाशकाने तुझ्या उन्हाळी फळांवर व तुझ्या द्राक्षांवर हल्ला केला आहे.
33 Joy and gladness are removed from the orchard and from the fields of Moab. I have stopped the flow of wine from the presses; no one treads them with shouts of joy; their shouts are not for joy.
३३म्हणून मवाबाच्या फळबागेतून व देशातून उत्सव व हर्ष दूर केलेले आहेत. मी त्यांच्या द्राक्षकुंडातून द्राक्षरस नाहीसा केला आहे. ते हर्षाने ओरडून द्राक्षे तुडविणार नाहीत. कोणतेही ओरडणे हर्षाचे ओरडणे होणार नाही.
34 There is a cry from Heshbon to Elealeh; they raise their voices to Jahaz, from Zoar to Horonaim and Eglath-shelishiyah; for even the waters of Nimrim have dried up.
३४“हेशबोनापासून एलालेपर्यंत, याहसापर्यंत, सोअरापासून होरोनाईम व एगलाथ-शलिशीयापर्यंत त्यांच्या ओरडण्याचा आवाज ऐकू येत आहे, कारण निम्रीमाचे पाणी सुद्धा आटले आहे.
35 In Moab, declares the LORD, I will bring an end to those who make offerings on the high places and burn incense to their gods.
३५परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, कारण जो कोणीही उच्चस्थानी अर्पण करतो आणि त्यांच्या देवाला धूप जाळतो त्यास मी मवाबातून नाहीसे करीन.”
36 Therefore My heart laments like a flute for Moab; it laments like a flute for the men of Kir-heres, because the wealth they acquired has perished.
३६म्हणून माझे हृदय मवाबासाठी बासरीसारखे विलाप करीत आहे, माझे हृदय कीर हरेसाच्या लोकांसाठी बासरीसारखे विलाप करीत आहे. त्यांनी मिळवलेली विपुल संपत्ती नाहीशी झाली आहे.
37 For every head is shaved and every beard is clipped; on every hand is a gash, and around every waist is sackcloth.
३७कारण प्रत्येक मस्तक टक्कल झाले आहे व प्रत्येक दाढी मुंडली आहेत. प्रत्येकाच्या हातावर जखमा आहेत व तागाची वस्त्रे त्यांच्या कमरेभोवती आहे.
38 On all the rooftops of Moab and in the public squares, everyone is mourning; for I have shattered Moab like an unwanted jar,”
३८मवाबामध्ये प्रत्येक घराच्या धाब्यावर आणि चौकात, तेथे सर्वत्र शोक होत आहे. कारण नकोसा असलेल्या पात्राप्रमाणे मी मवाबाचा नाश केला आहे, असे परमेश्वर म्हणतो.
39 “How shattered it is! How they wail! How Moab has turned his back in shame! Moab has become an object of ridicule and horror to all those around him.”
३९“तो कसा मोडला आहे! आपल्या विलापात कसे आकांत करत आहे! मवाबाने लज्जेने कशी पाठ फिरवली आहे. म्हणून मवाब आपल्या सभोवतालच्या सर्वांना उपहास आणि दहशतीचा विषय झाला आहे.”
40 For this is what the LORD says: “Behold, an eagle swoops down and spreads his wings against Moab.
४०कारण परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, “पाहा, शत्रू गरुडाप्रमाणे उडत आहे. तो आपले पंख मवाबावर पसरील.
41 Kirioth has been taken, and the strongholds seized. In that day the heart of Moab’s warriors will be like the heart of a woman in labor.
४१करोयोथ काबीज झाले आहे आणि त्यांचे बालेकिल्ले जप्त झाले आहेत. कारण त्या दिवशी मवाबी सैनिकांचे हृदय, प्रसूत होणाऱ्या स्त्रीप्रमाणे होईल.
42 Moab will be destroyed as a nation because he vaunted himself against the LORD.
४२म्हणून मवाबाचा नाश होऊन ते राष्ट्ररुप राहणार नाही, कारण ते परमेश्वराविरूद्ध उद्धट झाले.”
43 Terror and pit and snare await you, O dweller of Moab,”
४३परमेश्वर असे म्हणतोः “मवाबात राहणाऱ्यांनो, दहशत व खाच आणि सापळा तुमच्यावर येत आहेत.
44 “Whoever flees the panic will fall into the pit, and whoever climbs from the pit will be caught in the snare. For I will bring upon Moab the year of their punishment,”
४४जो कोणी दहशतीने घाबरुन पळेल तो खाचेत पडेल, आणि जो कोणी खाचेतून वर येतो तो सापळ्यात सापडेल, कारण मी हे त्याच्याविरुध्द म्हणजे मवाबावर त्याचे शासन घेण्याचे वर्ष आणिन.” असे परमेश्वर म्हणतो.
45 “Those who flee will stand helpless in Heshbon’s shadow, because fire has gone forth from Heshbon and a flame from within Sihon. It devours the foreheads of Moab and the skulls of the sons of tumult.
४५जे पळून गेले होते ते हेशबोनाच्या छायेखाली निर्बल असे उभे राहिले, कारण हेशबोनातून अग्नी, सीहोनातून ज्वाला निघाली आहे. ती मवाबाचे कपाळ आणि गर्विष्ठ लोकांचे डोके खाऊन टाकील.
46 Woe to you, O Moab! The people of Chemosh have perished; for your sons have been taken into exile and your daughters have gone into captivity.
४६हे मवाबा, तुला हाय हाय! कमोशाच्या लोकांचा नाश होत आहे, कारण तुझी मुले बंदिवान आणि तुझ्या मुली बंदिवासात नेल्या जात आहेत.
47 Yet in the latter days I will restore Moab from captivity,” declares the LORD. Here ends the judgment on Moab.
४७“मी पुढील दिवसात मवाबाचा बंदिवास उलटवीन” असे परमेश्वर म्हणतो. येथे मवाबाचा न्यायनिवाडा संपतो.
