< James 4 >
1 What causes conflicts and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from the passions at war within you?
A kuevi kueti ba zikhindu ayi ziphaka zidi mu beno e? Keti mu zitsatu zimbimbi zilembo nuani mu binama bieno.
2 You crave what you do not have; you kill and covet, but are unable to obtain it. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask.
Lunzininanga bima vayi lubakanga ko; lueti vonda ayi kiphala kingolo kidi yeno vayi lubakanga ko. Lueti nuana ayi lueti zonza. Lutambulanga ko bima biobi lueti tomba bila lubitombanga kuidi Nzambi ko.
3 And when you do ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may squander it on your pleasures.
Lueti lomba vayi lutambulanga ko bila bumbimbi lueti lombila, lueti bilombila mu diambu di zikhini zieno veka.
4 You adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore, whoever chooses to be a friend of the world renders himself an enemy of God.
Luidi bankua kitsuza! Luisi zaba ko ti kikundi ki nza kidi bumbeniayi Nzambi e? Woso mutu tidi ba nkundi wu nza, wunkitukanga mbeni yi Nzambi.
5 Or do you think the Scripture says without reason that the Spirit He caused to dwell in us yearns with envy?
Beno lummuena ti mu phamba masonoko meti tubila ti: Mu kiphala kingolo kanzodilanga Pheve yoyi katula mu beto.
6 But He gives us more grace. This is why it says: “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
Muaki, nlemvo wuwombo kakutuvananga. Diawu katubila ti: Nzambi wunkakidilanga bankua luniemo vayi nlemvo andi widi kuidi batu bobo bakukikululanga.
7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Diawu, bika lutumukinanga Nzambi, vayi lunuanisa satana, buna wela kulutina.
8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Bika lufikama vadi Nzambi ayi niandi wela kulufikama. A beno bankua masumu, bika lusukula mioko mieno, vedisanu mintima mieno beno batu luidi mintima mi vasuka.
9 Grieve, mourn, and weep. Turn your laughter to mourning, and your joy to gloom.
Bika lumona mabienga meno; bika luba mu kaniki, bika ludila. Bikadisevo dieno dikituka bidilu; bika khini eno yikituka kiadi.
10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you.
Bika lukikulula va meso ma Pfumu, buna niandi wela kulunangika.
11 Brothers, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. And if you judge the law, you are not a practitioner of the law, but a judge of it.
A Bakhomba baama, lubika ba kifu kitubidilanga badieno. Bila woso mutu wuntubidila khombꞌandi voti sambisidi khombꞌandi, buna kazaba ti Mina katubididi ayi kasambisidi. Vayi enati ngeyo sambisidi Mina, buna wusiedi ko mutu wowo wunsadilanga miawu vayi weka zuzi di Mina.
12 There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the One who is able to save and destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?
Vayi lubika zimbakana ti mutu kaka wumosi wumvananga Mina ayi niandi zuzi. Niandi kaka wulenda vukisa ayi wulenda vonda. Vayi ngeyo widi nani mu sambisa ndiaku e?
13 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business, and make a profit.”
Luwa mboti beno lueta tuba: “Buabu voti mbazi tuela kuenda ku divula di kingandi; mvu mvimba tuela kukadila; kuna tuela sala kisalu kisumbisa bima, ayi tuela baka zimbongo ziwombo.”
14 You do not even know what will happen tomorrow! What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.
Beno lukadi kueno zaba buevi buela bela luzingu lueno mu lumbu ki mbazi. A mbi biobi luzingu lueno e? Keti luzingu lueno luidi banga muisiwumonikini mu ndambu thangu vayi zimbukila wuzimbidi.
15 Instead, you ought to say, “If the Lord is willing, we will live and do this or that.”
Tala nganu phila lufueti yolukilanga yawu yayi: “Enati Pfumutidi buna tuela zinga ayi tuela vanga diadi voti dina.”
16 As it is, you boast in your proud intentions. All such boasting is evil.
Vayi beno luntulanga luniemo lueno mu zikhanu zieno. Luzaba ti luniemo lu phila yoyi luidi lu mbimbi.
17 Anyone, then, who knows the right thing to do, yet fails to do it, is guilty of sin.
Woso kuandi mutu zebi vanga mamboti vayi kakadi kumavanga, niandivodidi masumu.
