Isaiah 61
1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is on Me, because the LORD has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to the prisoners,
El Espíritu del Señor Yahvé está sobre mí, porque Yahvé me ha ungido para predicar la buena nueva a los humildes. Me ha enviado a vendar a los corazones rotos, para proclamar la libertad de los cautivos y liberar a los que están atados,
2 to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of our God’s vengeance, to comfort all who mourn,
para proclamar el año de gracia de Yahvé y el día de la venganza de nuestro Dios, para consolar a todos los que lloran,
3 to console the mourners in Zion— to give them a crown of beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and a garment of praise for a spirit of despair. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.
para proveer a los que lloran en Sión, para darles una guirnalda para las cenizas, el aceite de la alegría para el luto, el vestido de alabanza para el espíritu de pesadez, para que sean llamados árboles de la justicia, la siembra de Yahvé, para que sea glorificado.
4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins; they will restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities, the desolations of many generations.
Reconstruirán las antiguas ruinas. Levantarán los antiguos lugares devastados. Repararán las ciudades arruinadas que han sido devastadas durante muchas generaciones.
5 Strangers will stand and feed your flocks, and foreigners will be your plowmen and vinedressers.
Los extraños se pondrán de pie y alimentarán sus rebaños. Los extranjeros trabajarán sus campos y sus viñedos.
6 But you will be called the priests of the LORD; they will speak of you as ministers of our God; you will feed on the wealth of nations, and you will boast in their riches.
Pero ustedes serán llamados sacerdotes de Yahvé. Los hombres os llamarán siervos de nuestro Dios. Comerás la riqueza de las naciones. Te jactarás de su gloria.
7 Instead of shame, My people will have a double portion, and instead of humiliation, they will rejoice in their share; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs.
En lugar de tu vergüenza tendrás el doble. En lugar de la deshonra, se alegrarán de su porción. Por lo tanto, en su tierra poseerán el doble. La alegría eterna será para ellos.
8 For I, the LORD, love justice; I hate robbery and iniquity; in My faithfulness I will give them their recompense and make an everlasting covenant with them.
“Porque yo, Yahvé, amo la justicia. Odio el robo y la iniquidad. Les daré su recompensa en la verdad y haré un pacto eterno con ellos.
9 Their descendants will be known among the nations, and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the LORD has blessed.
Su descendencia será conocida entre las naciones, y su descendencia entre los pueblos. Todos los que los vean los reconocerán, que son la descendencia que Yahvé ha bendecido”.
10 I will rejoice greatly in the LORD, my soul will exult in my God; for He has clothed me with garments of salvation and wrapped me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom wears a priestly headdress, as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
¡Me regocijaré mucho en Yahvé! Mi alma se alegrará en mi Dios, porque me ha revestido con las vestiduras de la salvación. Me ha cubierto con el manto de la justicia, como un novio se engalana con una guirnalda y como una novia se adorna con sus joyas.
11 For as the earth brings forth its growth, and as a garden enables seed to spring up, so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring up before all the nations.
Pues como la tierra produce su brote, y como el jardín hace brotar lo que se siembra en él, así el Señor Yahvé hará brotar la justicia y la alabanza ante todas las naciones.
