Isaiah 61
1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is on Me, because the LORD has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to the prisoners,
L’esprit du Seigneur Yahweh est sur moi, parce que Yahweh m’a oint; il m’a envoyé porter la bonne nouvelle aux malheureux; panser ceux qui ont le cœur brisé. Annoncer aux captifs la liberté et aux prisonniers l’élargissement;
2 to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of our God’s vengeance, to comfort all who mourn,
publier une année de grâce pour Yahweh, et un jour de vengeance pour notre Dieu; consoler tous les affligés;
3 to console the mourners in Zion— to give them a crown of beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and a garment of praise for a spirit of despair. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.
Apporter aux affligés de Sion et leur mettre un diadème au lieu de cendre, l’huile de joie au lieu du deuil, un manteau de fête au lieu d’un esprit abattu; on les appellera térébinthes de justice, plantations de Yahweh pour sa gloire.
4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins; they will restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities, the desolations of many generations.
Ils rebâtiront les ruines antiques; ils relèveront les décombres d’autrefois; ils restaureront les villes détruites, les décombres des âges passés.
5 Strangers will stand and feed your flocks, and foreigners will be your plowmen and vinedressers.
Les étrangers seront là pour paître vos troupeaux; les fils de l’étranger seront vos laboureurs et vos vignerons.
6 But you will be called the priests of the LORD; they will speak of you as ministers of our God; you will feed on the wealth of nations, and you will boast in their riches.
Mais vous, on vous appellera prêtres de Yahweh; on vous nommera « ministres de notre Dieu ». Vous mangerez les richesses des nations, et vous vous parerez de leur magnificence.
7 Instead of shame, My people will have a double portion, and instead of humiliation, they will rejoice in their share; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs.
Au lieu de votre honte, vous aurez double portion et au lieu de l’ignominie, ils se réjouiront de leur part; ils posséderont ainsi double part dans leur pays; il y aura pour eux une joie éternelle.
8 For I, the LORD, love justice; I hate robbery and iniquity; in My faithfulness I will give them their recompense and make an everlasting covenant with them.
Car moi, Yahweh, j’aime la justice; je hais le pillage fait avec perfidie; je leur donnerai fidèlement leur salaire, et je ferai avec eux une alliance éternelle.
9 Their descendants will be known among the nations, and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the LORD has blessed.
Leur race sera renommée parmi les nations; et leur postérité au milieu des peuples; tous ceux qui les verront reconnaîtront qu’ils sont une race bénie de Yahweh.
10 I will rejoice greatly in the LORD, my soul will exult in my God; for He has clothed me with garments of salvation and wrapped me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom wears a priestly headdress, as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
Je serai ravi d’allégresse en Yahweh, et mon cœur se réjouira en mon Dieu, parce qu’il m’a revêtu des vêtements du salut, et m’a couvert du manteau de la justice, comme le fiancé orne sa tête d’un diadème, comme la mariée se pare de ses joyaux.
11 For as the earth brings forth its growth, and as a garden enables seed to spring up, so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring up before all the nations.
Car comme la terre fait éclore ses germes, et comme un jardin fait germer ses semences, ainsi le Seigneur Yahweh fera germer la justice, et la louange devant toutes les nations.
