< Isaiah 6 >

1 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted; and the train of His robe filled the temple.
Awo mu mwaka kabaka Uzziya mwe yafiira, nalaba Mukama ng’atudde ku ntebe empanvu ng’agulumizibbwa, n’ekirenge ky’ekyambalo kye nga kijjula yeekaalu.
2 Above Him stood seraphim, each having six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying.
Waggulu we yali waali wayimiriddewo basseraafi: buli omu ng’alina ebiwaawaatiro mukaaga, ebibiri nga bye bibikka ku maaso ge, ebibiri nga bye bibikka ku bigere bye, n’ebibiri ng’abibuusa.
3 And they were calling out to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of Hosts; all the earth is full of His glory.”
Buli omu yali ng’ayogera ne munne n’eddoboozi ery’omwanguka nti, “Mutukuvu, mutukuvu, mutukuvu, Mukama Katonda Ayinzabyonna: ensi yonna ejjudde ekitiibwa kye.”
4 At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook, and the temple was filled with smoke.
N’emisingi gy’emiryango ne ginyeenyezebwa olw’eddoboozi ly’oyo eyali akoowoola mu ddoboozi ery’omwanguka, yeekaalu n’ejjula omukka.
5 Then I said: “Woe is me, for I am ruined, because I am a man of unclean lips dwelling among a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of Hosts.”
Ne ndyoka nkaaba nti, “Zinsanze nze! Nfudde mpeddewo! Kubanga ndi muntu ow’emimwa egitali mirongoofu, era mbeera wakati mu bantu ab’emimwa egitali mirongoofu; kubanga amaaso gange galabye Kabaka, Mukama Katonda ow’Eggye!”
6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, and in his hand was a glowing coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar.
Olwo omu ku basseraafi n’alyoka abuuka n’ajja gye ndi ng’alina eryanda eryaka mu ngalo ze, lye yali aggye ku kyoto ne nnamagalo.
7 And with it he touched my mouth and said: “Now that this has touched your lips, your iniquity is removed and your sin is atoned for.”
Era n’alikomya ku kamwa kange, n’agamba nti, “Laba, lino likoonye ku mimwa gyo, era obutali butuukirivu bwo bukuggyiddwako. Era n’ekibi kyo kikusonyiyiddwa.”
8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying: “Whom shall I send? Who will go for Us?” And I said: “Here am I. Send me!”
Ne mpulira eddoboozi lya Mukama ng’abuuza nti, “Naatuma ani, era ani anaagenda ku lwaffe?” Ne ndyoka njogera nti, “Nze wendi! Tuma nze!”
9 And He replied: “Go and tell this people, ‘Be ever hearing, but never understanding; be ever seeing, but never perceiving.’
Nayogera nti, “Genda obuulire abantu bano nti, “‘Okuwulira munaawuliranga naye temutegeerenga, n’okulaba munaalabanga naye temutegeerenga kye mulabye.’
10 Make the hearts of this people calloused; deafen their ears and close their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed.”
Okakanyaze omutima gw’abantu bano, oggale amatu gaabwe, n’amaaso gazibe si kulwa nga balaba n’amaaso gaabwe oba okuwulira n’amatu gaabwe oba okutegeera n’emitima gyabwe ne bakyuka bawonyezebwe.”
11 Then I asked: “How long, O Lord?” And He replied: “Until the cities lie ruined and without inhabitant, until the houses are left unoccupied and the land is desolate and ravaged,
12 until the LORD has driven men far away and the land is utterly forsaken.
okutuusa nga Mukama Katonda agobedde wala buli muntu, era ng’ensi esigadde matongo.
13 And though a tenth remains in the land, it will be burned again. As the terebinth and oak leave stumps when felled, so the holy seed will be a stump in the land.”
N’ekimu eky’ekkumi ekiriba kisigaddewo, nakyo kirizikirizibwa. Naye ng’omumyuliru n’omuvule bwe gireka ebikolo byagyo bwe gitemebwa, bw’etyo ensigo entukuvu bw’erigwa mu ttaka n’esigala ng’ekikolo mu nsi.”
