Isaiah 50
1 This is what the LORD says: “Where is your mother’s certificate of divorce with which I sent her away? Or to which of My creditors did I sell you? Look, you were sold for your iniquities, and for your transgressions your mother was sent away.
সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, “তোমার মায়ের সেই বিবাহবিচ্ছেদ পত্র কোথায়, যা দিয়ে আমি তাকে দূর করেছিলাম? কিংবা আমার কোন পাওনাদারের কাছে আমি তোমাদের বিক্রি করেছিলাম? তোমাদের পাপের কারণে তোমরা বিক্রীত হয়েছিলে; তোমাদের অধর্মের জন্য তোমাদের মাকে দূর করা হয়েছিল।
2 Why was no one there when I arrived? Why did no one answer when I called? Is My hand too short to redeem you? Or do I lack the strength to deliver you? Behold, My rebuke dries up the sea; I turn the rivers into a desert; the fish rot for lack of water and die of thirst.
আমি যখন এলাম, তখন কেউ সেখানে ছিল না কেন? আমি যখন ডাকলাম, কেউ তখন উত্তর দিল না কেন? তোমাদের মুক্তিপণ দেওয়ার জন্য আমার হাত কি খুবই খাটো ছিল? তোমাদের উদ্ধার করার জন্য আমার কি শক্তির অভাব ছিল? সামান্য একটি ধমকে আমি সমুদ্রকে শুষ্ক করি, নদনদীকে আমি মরুভূমিতে পরিণত করি; জলের অভাবে সেখানকার মাছ পচে দুর্গন্ধ হয়, তারা পিপাসায় প্রাণত্যাগ করে।
3 I clothe the heavens in black and make sackcloth their covering.”
আমি আকাশকে অন্ধকারে আবৃত করি, চটবস্ত্রকে তার পরিধেয় করি।”
4 The Lord GOD has given Me the tongue of discipleship, to sustain the weary with a word. He awakens Me morning by morning; He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple.
সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু আমাকে শিক্ষা গ্রহণকারীর জিভ দিয়েছেন, যেন বুঝতে পারি কথার দ্বারা কীভাবে ক্লান্ত ব্যক্তিকে সুস্থির করতে হয়। তিনি রোজ সকালে আমাকে জাগিয়ে তোলেন, আমার কানকে জাগান যেন শিক্ষার্থীর মতো শুনি।
5 The Lord GOD has opened My ears, and I have not been rebellious, nor have I turned back.
সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু আমার দুই কান খুলে দিয়েছেন, আমি বিদ্রোহী আচরণ করিনি; আর আমি পিছনে ফিরেও যাইনি।
6 I offered My back to those who struck Me, and My cheeks to those who tore out My beard. I did not hide My face from scorn and spittle.
আমার প্রহারকদের কাছে আমি আমার পিঠ পেতে দিয়েছিলাম, দাড়ি উপড়ানোর জন্য আমার গাল পেতে দিয়েছিলাম; বিদ্রুপ ও থুতু নিক্ষেপ থেকে আমি আমার মুখ লুকাইনি।
7 Because the Lord GOD helps Me, I have not been disgraced; therefore I have set My face like flint, and I know that I will not be put to shame.
কারণ সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু আমাকে সাহায্য করেন, আমি অপমানিত হব না। তাই আমি চকমকি পাথরের মতোই আমার মুখমণ্ডল শক্ত করেছি, আর আমি জানি, আমি লজ্জিত হব না।
8 The One who vindicates Me is near. Who will dare to contend with Me? Let us confront each other! Who has a case against Me? Let him approach Me!
যিনি আমাকে নির্দোষ প্রমাণ করেন, তিনি নিকটেই আছেন। তাহলে কে আমার বিরুদ্ধে অভিযোগ করবে? এসো আমরা পরস্পর মুখোমুখি হই! কে আমার বিরুদ্ধে অভিযোগকারী? সে আমার সামনে আসুক!
9 Surely the Lord GOD helps Me. Who is there to condemn Me? See, they will all wear out like a garment; the moths will devour them.
সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু আমাকে সাহায্য করেন। তাহলে কে আমাকে অপরাধী সাব্যস্ত করবে? তারা পোশাকের মতো সবাই জীর্ণ হবে; কীট তাদের সকলকে খেয়ে ফেলবে।
10 Who among you fears the LORD and obeys the voice of His Servant? Who among you walks in darkness and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the LORD; let him lean on his God.
তোমাদের মধ্যে কে সদাপ্রভুকে ভয় করে এবং তাঁর দাসের বাণীর প্রতি বাধ্য হয়? যে অন্ধকারে পথ চলে, যার কাছে আলো নেই, সে সদাপ্রভুর নামে বিশ্বাস করুক এবং তার ঈশ্বরের উপরে আস্থা স্থাপন করুক।
11 Behold, all you who kindle a fire, who array yourselves with firebrands, walk in the light of your fire and of the firebrands you have lit! This is what you will receive from My hand: You will lie down in a place of torment.
কিন্তু এখন, তোমরা যারা আগুন জ্বালাও ও নিজেদের জন্য প্রজ্বলিত মশাল জোগাও, তোমরা যাও, নিজেদের আগুনের আলোয় ও তোমাদের জ্বালানো মশালের আলোয় পথ চলো। আমার হাত থেকে তোমরা এই ফল লাভ করবে: তোমরা নির্যাতনে শুয়ে পড়বে।
