Isaiah 41
1 “Be silent before Me, O islands, and let the peoples renew their strength. Let them come forward and testify; let us together draw near for judgment.
൧“ദ്വീപുകളേ, എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ മിണ്ടാതെ ഇരിക്കുവിൻ; ജനതകൾ ശക്തിയെ പുതുക്കട്ടെ; അവർ അടുത്തുവന്നു സംസാരിക്കട്ടെ; നാം തമ്മിൽ ന്യായവാദം ചെയ്യുന്നതിന് അടുത്തുവരുക.
2 Who has aroused one from the east and called him to his feet in righteousness? He hands nations over to him and subdues kings before him. He turns them to dust with his sword, to windblown chaff with his bow.
൨ചെല്ലുന്നെടത്തെല്ലാം നീതി എതിരേല്ക്കുന്നവനെ കിഴക്കുനിന്ന് ഉണർത്തിയതാര്? അവിടുന്ന് ജനതകളെ അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുകയും അവനെ രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ മേൽ വാഴുമാറാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; അവരുടെ വാളിനെ അവൻ പൊടിപോലെയും അവരുടെ വില്ലിനെ പാറിപ്പോകുന്ന വൈക്കോൽകുറ്റിപോലെയും ആക്കിക്കളയുന്നു.
3 He pursues them, going on safely, hardly touching the path with his feet.
൩അവൻ അവരെ പിന്തുടർന്നു നിർഭയനായി കടന്നു ചെല്ലുന്നു; പാതയിൽ കാൽ വച്ചല്ല അവൻ പോകുന്നത്.
4 Who has performed this and carried it out, calling forth the generations from the beginning? I, the LORD—the first and the last— I am He.”
൪ആര് അത് പ്രവർത്തിക്കുകയും അനുഷ്ഠിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു? ആദിമുതൽ തലമുറകളെ വിളിച്ചവൻ; യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ ആദ്യനും അന്ത്യന്മാരോടുകൂടി അനന്യനും ആകുന്നു”.
5 The islands see and fear; the ends of the earth tremble. They approach and come forward.
൫ദ്വീപുകൾ കണ്ടു ഭയപ്പെട്ടു; ഭൂമിയുടെ അറുതികൾ വിറച്ചു; അവർ ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂടി അടുത്തുവന്നു;
6 Each one helps the other and says to his brother, “Be strong!”
൬അവർ അന്യോന്യം സഹായിച്ചു; ഒരുത്തൻ മറ്റേവനോട്: “ധൈര്യമായിരിക്കുക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
7 The craftsman encourages the goldsmith, and he who wields the hammer cheers him who strikes the anvil, saying of the welding, “It is good.” He nails it down so it will not be toppled.
൭അങ്ങനെ ആശാരി തട്ടാനെയും കൊല്ലൻ കൂടം തല്ലുന്നവനെയും ധൈര്യപ്പെടുത്തി “കൂട്ടിവിളക്കുന്നതിനു അത് തയ്യാറായിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ്, ഇളകാതെയിരിക്കേണ്ടതിനു അവൻ അതിനെ ആണികൊണ്ട് ഉറപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
8 “But you, O Israel, My servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, descendant of Abraham My friend—
൮“നീയോ, എന്റെ ദാസനായ യിസ്രായേലേ, ഞാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത യാക്കോബേ, എന്റെ സ്നേഹിതനായ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ സന്തതിയേ, ‘നീ എന്റെ ദാസൻ,
9 I brought you from the ends of the earth and called you from its farthest corners. I said, ‘You are My servant.’ I have chosen and not rejected you.
൯ഞാൻ നിന്നെ നിരസിച്ചുകളയാതെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു’ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ് കൊണ്ട് ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റങ്ങളിൽനിന്ന് എടുക്കുകയും അതിന്റെ മൂലകളിൽനിന്നു വിളിച്ചു ചേർക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നവനായുള്ളവനേ, നീ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ;
10 Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My right hand of righteousness.
൧൦ഞാൻ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ട്; ഭ്രമിച്ചുനോക്കേണ്ടാ, ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ദൈവം ആകുന്നു; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ശക്തീകരിക്കും; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ സഹായിക്കും; എന്റെ നീതിയുള്ള വലംകൈകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ നിന്നെ താങ്ങും.
11 Behold, all who rage against you will be ashamed and disgraced; those who contend with you will be reduced to nothing and will perish.
൧൧നിന്നോട് കോപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവരും ലജ്ജിച്ച് അമ്പരന്നുപോകും; നിന്നോട് വിവാദിക്കുന്നവർ നശിച്ചു ഇല്ലാതെയാകും.
12 You will seek them but will not find them. Those who wage war against you will come to nothing.
൧൨നിന്നോട് പോരാടുന്നവരെ നീ അന്വേഷിക്കും; കാണുകയില്ലതാനും; നിന്നോട് യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്നവർ നാസ്തിത്വവും ഇല്ലായ്മയുംപോലെ ആകും.
13 For I am the LORD your God, who takes hold of your right hand and tells you: Do not fear, I will help you.
൧൩നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്ന ഞാൻ നിന്റെ വലംകൈ പിടിച്ചു നിന്നോട്: ‘ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ, ഞാൻ നിന്നെ സഹായിക്കും’ എന്നു പറയുന്നു”.
14 Do not fear, O worm of Jacob, O few men of Israel. I will help you,” declares the LORD. “Your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.
൧൪“പുഴുവായ യാക്കോബേ, യിസ്രായേൽജനമേ, ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ സഹായിക്കും” എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; നിന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരൻ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധൻ തന്നെ.
15 Behold, I will make you into a threshing sledge, new and sharp, with many teeth. You will thresh the mountains and crush them, and reduce the hills to chaff.
൧൫“ഇതാ, ഞാൻ നിന്നെ പുതിയതും മൂർച്ചയുള്ളതും പല്ലേറിയതും ആയ മെതിവണ്ടിയാക്കി തീർക്കുന്നു; നീ പർവ്വതങ്ങളെ മെതിച്ചു പൊടിക്കുകയും കുന്നുകളെ പതിർപോലെ ആക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.
16 You will winnow them, and a wind will carry them away; a gale will scatter them. But you will rejoice in the LORD; you will glory in the Holy One of Israel.
൧൬നീ അവയെ പാറ്റും; കാറ്റ് അവയെ പറപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോകും; ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റ് അവയെ ചിതറിച്ചുകളയും; നീയോ യഹോവയിൽ ഘോഷിച്ചുല്ലസിച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനിൽ പുകഴും.
17 The poor and needy seek water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. I, the LORD, will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.
൧൭എളിയവരും ദരിദ്രന്മാരുമായവർ വെള്ളം തിരഞ്ഞുനടക്കുന്നു; ഒട്ടും കിട്ടായ്കയാൽ അവരുടെ നാവ് ദാഹംകൊണ്ടു വരണ്ടുപോകുന്നു. യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ അവർക്ക് ഉത്തരം അരുളും; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ ഞാൻ അവരെ കൈവിടുകയില്ല.
18 I will open rivers on the barren heights, and fountains in the middle of the valleys. I will turn the desert into a pool of water, and the dry land into flowing springs.
൧൮ഞാൻ പാഴ്മലകളിൽ നദികളെയും താഴ്വരകളുടെ നടുവിൽ ഉറവുകളെയും തുറക്കും; മരുഭൂമിയെ ഞാൻ നീർപൊയ്കയും വരണ്ട നിലത്തെ നീരുറവുകളും ആക്കും.
19 I will plant cedars in the wilderness, acacias, myrtles, and olive trees. I will set cypresses in the desert, elms and boxwood together,
൧൯ഞാൻ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ ദേവദാരു, ഖദിരമരം, കൊഴുന്തു, ഒലിവുവൃക്ഷം എന്നിവ നടും; ഞാൻ നിർജ്ജനപ്രദേശത്തു സരളവൃക്ഷവും പയിൻമരവും പുന്നയും വച്ചുപിടിപ്പിക്കും.
20 so that all may see and know, may consider and understand, that the hand of the LORD has done this and the Holy One of Israel has created it.”
൨൦യഹോവയുടെ കൈ അത് ചെയ്തു എന്നും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധൻ അത് സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു എന്നും അവരെല്ലാവരും കണ്ട് അറിഞ്ഞ് വിചാരിച്ചു ഗ്രഹിക്കേണ്ടതിനു തന്നെ”.
21 “Present your case,” says the LORD. “Submit your arguments,” says the King of Jacob.
൨൧“നിങ്ങളുടെ വ്യവഹാരം കൊണ്ടുവരുവിൻ” എന്നു യഹോവ കല്പിക്കുന്നു; “നിങ്ങളുടെ ന്യായങ്ങളെ കാണിക്കുവിൻ” എന്നു യാക്കോബിന്റെ രാജാവ് കല്പിക്കുന്നു.
22 “Let them come and tell us what will happen. Tell the former things, so that we may reflect on them and know the outcome. Or announce to us what is coming.
൨൨സംഭവിക്കുവാനുള്ളത് അവർ കാണിച്ചു നമ്മോടു പ്രസ്താവിക്കട്ടെ; നാം വിചാരിച്ച് അതിന്റെ അവസാനം അറിയേണ്ടതിന് ആദ്യകാര്യങ്ങൾ ഇന്നിന്നവയെന്ന് അവർ പ്രസ്താവിക്കട്ടെ; അല്ലെങ്കിൽ സംഭവിക്കുവാനുള്ളത് നമ്മെ കേൾപ്പിക്കട്ടെ.
23 Tell us the things that are to come, so that we may know that you are gods. Yes, do something good or evil, that we may look on together in dismay.
൨൩നിങ്ങൾ ദേവന്മാർ എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയേണ്ടതിന് മേലാൽ വരുവാനുള്ളതു പ്രസ്താവിക്കുവിൻ; ഞങ്ങൾ കണ്ടു വിസ്മയിക്കേണ്ടതിനു നന്മയെങ്കിലും തിന്മയെങ്കിലും പ്രവർത്തിക്കുവിൻ.
24 Behold, you are nothing and your work is of no value. Anyone who chooses you is detestable.
൨൪നിങ്ങൾ ഇല്ലായ്മയും നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തി നാസ്തിയും ആകുന്നു; നിങ്ങളെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നവൻ മ്ലേച്ഛനാകുന്നു.
25 I have raised up one from the north, and he has come— one from the east who calls on My name. He will march over rulers as if they were mortar, like a potter who treads the clay.
൨൫“ഞാൻ ഒരുവനെ വടക്കുനിന്ന് എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു; അവൻ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; സൂര്യോദയദിക്കിൽനിന്ന് അവനെ എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു; അവൻ എന്റെ നാമത്തെ ആരാധിക്കും; അവൻ വന്നു ചെളിയെപ്പോലെയും കുശവൻ കളിമണ്ണു ചവിട്ടുന്നതുപോലെയും ദേശാധിപതികളെ ചവിട്ടും.
26 Who has declared this from the beginning, so that we may know, and from times past, so that we may say: ‘He was right’? No one announced it, no one foretold it, no one heard your words.
൨൬ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയേണ്ടതിന് ആദിമുതലും ‘അവൻ നീതിമാൻ’ എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ പറയേണ്ടതിന് പണ്ടേയും ആര് പ്രസ്താവിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളു? പ്രസ്താവിക്കുവാനോ കാണിച്ചുതരുവാനോ നിങ്ങളുടെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കുവാനോ ആരും ഇല്ല.
27 I was the first to tell Zion: ‘Look, here they are!’ And I gave to Jerusalem a herald of good news.
൨൭ഞാൻ ആദ്യനായി സീയോനോട്: ‘ഇതാ, ഇതാ, അവർ വരുന്നു’ എന്നു പറയുന്നു; യെരൂശലേമിനു ഞാൻ ഒരു സുവാർത്താദൂതനെ കൊടുക്കുന്നു.
28 When I look, there is no one; there is no counselor among them; when I ask them, they have nothing to say.
൨൮ഞാൻ നോക്കിയപ്പോൾ: ഒരുത്തനുമില്ല; ഞാൻ ചോദിച്ചപ്പോൾ; ഉത്തരം പറയുവാൻ അവരിൽ ഒരു ആലോചനക്കാരനും ഇല്ല.
29 See, they are all a delusion; their works amount to nothing; their images are as empty as the wind.
൨൯അവരെല്ലാവരും വ്യാജമാകുന്നു; അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ നാസ്തിയത്രേ; അവരുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ കാറ്റും ശൂന്യവും തന്നെ”.
