< Isaiah 2 >

1 This is the message that was revealed to Isaiah son of Amoz concerning Judah and Jerusalem:
Amoz capa Isaiah ni, Judah ram hoi Jerusalem hoi kâkuen lah a hmu e vision teh,
2 In the last days the mountain of the house of the LORD will be established as the chief of the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and all nations will stream to it.
a hnukteng e hnin teh, BAWIPA im saknae mon teh, monsomnaw e lathueng vah, tawm lah ao vaiteh, caksak lah ao han. Miphun pueng ni hote mon koe a kamkhueng awh han.
3 And many peoples will come and say: “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us His ways so that we may walk in His paths.” For the law will go forth from Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
Taminaw ni hai, tho awh. BAWIPA e mon, Cathut im koe cet awh sei. A lamthung hah na pâtu awh vaiteh, a lamthung dawn awh han, telah kahlawng cei laihoi ati awh han. Bangkongtetpawiteh, kâlawk teh Zion mon hoi tâcawt vaiteh, Cathut lawk teh Jerusalem hoi a tâco han.
4 Then He will judge between the nations and arbitrate for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will no longer take up the sword against nation, nor train anymore for war.
Cathut ni miphunnaw hah lawkceng vaiteh, tami moikapap hah a yue han. Ahnimae tahloinaw hah thunha lah thoseh, tahroenaw hah tangkoun lah thoseh, a dêi awh han. Ram buet touh hoi buet touh tarankâtuk mahoeh toe. Taran tuknae hai kâpâtu awh mahoeh toe.
5 Come, O house of Jacob, let us walk in the light of the LORD.
Oe Jakop imthungnaw tho awh. BAWIPA angnae dawk khosak awh haw sei.
6 For You have abandoned Your people, the house of Jacob, because they are filled with influences from the east; they are soothsayers like the Philistines; they strike hands with the children of foreigners.
Bangtelah tetpawiteh, Jakop imthung, na taminaw hah na ceitakhai toe. Bangkongtetpawiteh, ahnimouh teh, Kanîtholae naw patetlah kho a sak awh teh, Filistinnaw patetlah khueyue lah ao awh teh, ramlouknaw hoi a kâhuiko awh.
7 Their land is full of silver and gold, with no limit to their treasures; their land is full of horses, with no limit to their chariots.
Ahnimae ram teh sui ngun hoi akawi teh, a tawnta awh e teh touklek thai hoeh. Ahnimae ram hai marang hoi akawi teh, rangleng touklek thai hoeh.
8 Their land is full of idols; they bow down to the work of their hands, to what their fingers have made.
Ahnimae ram teh, meikaphawknaw hoi akawi teh, amamae kut hoi sak e hnonaw patenghai a lûsaling awh toe.
9 So mankind is brought low, and man is humbled— do not forgive them!
Tami pueng ni a tabo awh teh, koung a kârahnoum sak awh. Hatdawkvah, ahnimae yonnae teh, BAWIPA ni ngaithoum hoeh.
10 Go into the rocks and hide in the dust from the terror of the LORD and the splendor of His majesty.
BAWIPA ni talai kahuet hanelah a tho toteh, takinae hoi a bawilen taluenae dawkvah, talung thung kâen awh, vaiphu thung kâhrawk awh.
11 The proud look of man will be humbled, and the loftiness of men brought low; the LORD alone will be exalted in that day.
Hatnae tueng dawkvah, kâoupnaw rahnoum sak vaiteh, kâtalue e naw pabo vaiteh, BAWIPA duengdoeh tawm lah kaawm han.
12 For the Day of the LORD of Hosts will come against all the proud and lofty, against all that is exalted— it will be humbled—
Rasahu BAWIPA e hnin teh, kârasang e hoi kâoup e tami pueng e lathueng thoseh,
13 against all the cedars of Lebanon, lofty and lifted up, against all the oaks of Bashan,
Lebanon mon e sidarkung ka rahnoum ka rasang e pueng koe thoseh, Bashan ram e kathenkungnaw pueng e lathueng thoseh,
14 against all the tall mountains, against all the high hills,
mon karasangpoung e lathueng thoseh, mon kathoung pueng e lathueng thoseh,
15 against every high tower, against every fortified wall,
Ka rasang e imrasang lathueng thoseh, rapan pueng e lathueng thoseh,
16 against every ship of Tarshish, and against every stately vessel.
Tarshish long pueng lathueng thoseh, ngai kaawm e vision pueng e lathueng thoseh a pha han.
17 So the pride of man will be brought low, and the loftiness of men will be humbled; the LORD alone will be exalted in that day,
Tami kâoupnae rahnoum sak vaiteh, a kârasangnae hah pabo lah ao han. Hat hnin dawkvah, BAWIPA dueng tawm lah ao han.
18 and the idols will vanish completely.
Kutsak pueng teh, khoeroe kahma han toe.
19 Men will flee to caves in the rocks and holes in the ground, away from the terror of the LORD and from the splendor of His majesty, when He rises to shake the earth.
BAWIPA ni talai a kahuet hanelah a tho toteh, takinae hoi a bawilen taluenae dawkvah, taminaw teh lungngoum thung, talai kâkhu thung a kâen awh han.
20 In that day men will cast away to the moles and bats their idols of silver and gold— the idols they made to worship.
Hatnae atueng dawkvah, taminaw ni ouk a bawk awh e sui hoi, ngun hoi ma hanelah raphoe sak e meikaphawk hah, thangbui hoi bongpinaw koe a tâkhawng awh han.
21 They will flee to caverns in the rocks and crevices in the cliffs, away from the terror of the LORD and from the splendor of His majesty, when He rises to shake the earth.
BAWIPA ni talai kahuet hanelah a tho toteh, takinae, a bawilen taluenae dawkvah talung khu, ravonaw thung a yawng awh han.
22 Put no more trust in man, who has only the breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he?
Hnawng hoi kâha e tami hah kâuep awh hanh. Ahnimouh teh, banghai cungkeinae awm hoeh.
