Isaiah 10

1 Woe to those who enact unjust statutes and issue oppressive decrees,

ദരിദ്രന്മാരുടെ ന്യായം മറിച്ചുകളവാനും എന്റെ ജനത്തിലെ എളിയവരുടെ അവകാശം ഇല്ലാതാക്കുവാനും വിധവമാർ തങ്ങൾക്കു കൊള്ളയായ്തീരുവാനും അനാഥന്മാരെ തങ്ങൾക്കു ഇരയാക്കുവാനും തക്കവണ്ണം

2 to deprive the poor of fair treatment and withhold justice from the oppressed of My people, to make widows their prey and orphans their plunder.

നീതികെട്ട ചട്ടം നിയമിക്കുന്നവൎക്കും അനൎത്ഥം എഴുതിവെക്കുന്ന എഴുത്തുകാൎക്കും അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!

3 What will you do on the day of reckoning when devastation comes from afar? To whom will you flee for help? Where will you leave your wealth?

സന്ദൎശനദിവസത്തിലും ദൂരത്തുനിന്നു വരുന്ന വിനാശത്തിങ്കലും നിങ്ങൾ എന്തു ചെയ്യും? സഹായത്തിന്നായിട്ടു നിങ്ങൾ ആരുടെ അടുക്കൽ ഓടിപ്പോകും? നിങ്ങളുടെ മഹത്വം നിങ്ങൾ എവിടെ വെച്ചുകൊള്ളും?

4 Nothing will remain but to crouch among the captives or fall among the slain. Despite all this, His anger is not turned away; His hand is still upraised.

അവർ ബദ്ധന്മാരുടെ കീഴെ കുനികയും ഹതന്മാരുടെ കീഴെ വീഴുകയും ചെയ്കേയുള്ളു. ഇതെല്ലാം കൊണ്ടും അവന്റെ കോപം അടങ്ങാതെ അവന്റെ കൈ ഇനിയും നീട്ടിയിരിക്കും.

5 Woe to Assyria, the rod of My anger; the staff in their hands is My wrath.

എന്റെ കോപത്തിന്റെ കോലായ അശ്ശൂരിന്നു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! അവരുടെ കയ്യിലെ വടി എന്റെ ക്രോധം ആകുന്നു.

6 I will send him against a godless nation; I will dispatch him against a people destined for My rage, to take spoils and seize plunder, and to trample them down like clay in the streets.

ഞാൻ അവനെ അശുദ്ധമായോരു ജാതിക്കു നേരെ അയക്കും; എന്റെ ക്രോധം വഹിക്കുന്ന ജനത്തിന്നു വിരോധമായി ഞാൻ അവന്നു കല്പന കൊടുക്കും; അവരെ കൊള്ളയിടുവാനും കവൎച്ച ചെയ്‌വാനും തെരുവീഥിയിലെ ചെളിയെപ്പോലെ ചവിട്ടിക്കളവാനും തന്നേ.

7 But this is not his intention; this is not his plan. For it is in his heart to destroy and cut off many nations.

അവനോ അങ്ങനെയല്ല നിരൂപിക്കുന്നതു; തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ അങ്ങനെയല്ല വിചാരിക്കുന്നതു; നശിപ്പിപ്പാനും അനേകം ജാതികളെ ഛേദിച്ചുകളവാനുമത്രേ അവന്റെ താല്പൎയ്യം.

8 “Are not all my commanders kings?” he says.

അവൻ പറയുന്നതു: എന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ ഒക്കെയും രാജാക്കന്മാരല്ലയോ?

9 “Is not Calno like Carchemish? Is not Hamath like Arpad? Is not Samaria like Damascus?

കല്നോ കൎക്കെമീശിനെപ്പോലെയല്ലയോ? ഹമാത്ത് അൎപ്പാദിനെപ്പോലെയല്ലയോ? ശമൎയ്യ ദമ്മേശെക്കിനെപ്പോലെയല്ലയോ?

10 As my hand seized the idolatrous kingdoms whose images surpassed those of Jerusalem and Samaria,

യെരൂശലേമിലും ശമൎയ്യയിലും ഉള്ളവയെക്കാൾ വിശേഷമായ ബിംബങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന മിത്ഥ്യാമൂൎത്തികളുടെ രാജ്യങ്ങളെ എന്റെ കൈ എത്തിപ്പിടിച്ചിരിക്കെ,

11 and as I have done to Samaria and its idols, will I not also do to Jerusalem and her idols?”

ഞാൻ ശമൎയ്യയോടും അതിലെ മിത്ഥ്യാമൂൎത്തികളോടും ചെയ്തതുപോലെ ഞാൻ യെരൂശലേമിനോടും അതിലെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളോടും ചെയ്കയില്ലയോ?

12 So when the Lord has completed all His work against Mount Zion and Jerusalem, He will say, “I will punish the king of Assyria for the fruit of his arrogant heart and the proud look in his eyes.

അതുകൊണ്ടു കൎത്താവു സീയോൻപൎവ്വതത്തിലും യെരൂശലേമിലും തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയൊക്കെയും തീൎത്തശേഷം, ഞാൻ അശ്ശൂർരാജാവിന്റെ അഹങ്കാരത്തിന്റെ ഫലത്തെയും അവന്റെ ഉന്നതഭാവത്തിന്റെ മഹിമയെയും സന്ദൎശിക്കും.

13 For he says: ‘By the strength of my hand I have done this, and by my wisdom, for I am clever. I have removed the boundaries of nations and plundered their treasures; like a mighty one I subdued their rulers.

എന്റെ കയ്യുടെ ശക്തികൊണ്ടും എന്റെ ജ്ഞാനം കൊണ്ടും ഞാൻ ഇതു ചെയ്തു; ഞാൻ ബുദ്ധിമാൻ; ഞാൻ ജാതികളുടെ അതിരുകളെ മാറ്റുകയും അവരുടെ ഭണ്ഡാരങ്ങളെ കവൎന്നുകളകയും പരാക്രമിയെപ്പോലെ സിംഹാസനസ്ഥന്മാരെ താഴ്ത്തുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

14 My hand reached as into a nest to seize the wealth of the nations. Like one gathering abandoned eggs, I gathered all the earth. No wing fluttered, no beak opened or chirped.’”

എന്റെ കൈ ജാതികളുടെ ധനത്തെ ഒരു പക്ഷിക്കൂടിനെപ്പോലെ എത്തിപ്പിടിച്ചു; ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞ മുട്ടകളെ ശേഖരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ, ഞാൻ സൎവ്വഭൂമിയെയും കൂട്ടിച്ചേൎത്തു; ചിറകു അനക്കുകയോ ചുണ്ടു തുറക്കുകയോ ചിലെക്കുകയോ ചെയ്‌വാൻ ഒന്നും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല എന്നു അവൻ പറയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

15 Does an axe raise itself above the one who swings it? Does a saw boast over him who saws with it? It would be like a rod waving the one who lifts it, or a staff lifting him who is not wood!

വെട്ടുന്നവനോടു കോടാലി വമ്പു പറയുമോ? വലിക്കുന്നവനോടു ഈൎച്ചവാൾ വലിപ്പം കാട്ടുമോ? അതോ, പിടിക്കുന്നവനെ വടി പൊക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും മരമല്ലാത്തവനെ കോൽ പൊന്തിക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും ആകുന്നു.

16 Therefore the Lord GOD of Hosts will send a wasting disease among Assyria’s stout warriors, and under his pomp will be kindled a fire like a burning flame.

അതുകൊണ്ടു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കൎത്താവു അവന്റെ പുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ ഇടയിൽ ക്ഷയം അയക്കും; അവന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിൻ കീഴെ തീ കത്തുംപോലെ ഒന്നു കത്തും.

17 And the Light of Israel will become a fire, and its Holy One a flame. In a single day it will burn and devour Assyria’s thorns and thistles.

യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ വെളിച്ചം ഒരു തീയായും അവന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധൻ ഒരു ജ്വാലയായും ഇരിക്കും; അതു കത്തി, ഒരു ദിവസംകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ മുള്ളും പറക്കാരയും ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും.

18 The splendor of its forests and orchards, both soul and body, it will completely destroy, as a sickness consumes a man.

അവൻ അവന്റെ കാട്ടിന്റെയും തോട്ടത്തിന്റെയും മഹത്വത്തെ ദേഹിദേഹവുമായി നശിപ്പിക്കും; അതു ഒരു രോഗി ക്ഷയിച്ചു പോകുന്നതു പോലെയിരിക്കും.

19 The remaining trees of its forests will be so few that a child could count them.

അവന്റെ കാട്ടിൽ ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന വൃക്ഷങ്ങൾ ചുരുക്കം ആയിരിക്കും; ഒരു ബാലന്നു അവയെ എണ്ണി എഴുതാം.

20 On that day the remnant of Israel and the survivors of the house of Jacob will no longer depend on him who struck them, but they will truly rely on the LORD, the Holy One of Israel.

അന്നാളിൽ യിസ്രായേലിൽ ശേഷിച്ചവരും യാക്കോബ് ഗൃഹത്തിലെ രക്ഷിതഗണവും തങ്ങളെ അടിച്ചവനെ ഇനി ആശ്രയിക്കാതെ, യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനായ യഹോവയെ പരമാൎത്ഥമായി ആശ്രയിക്കും.

21 A remnant will return —a remnant of Jacob— to the Mighty God.

ഒരു ശേഷിപ്പു മടങ്ങിവരും (ശെയാർ-യാശൂബ്); യാക്കോബിന്റെ ശേഷിപ്പു വീരനാം ദൈവത്തിങ്കലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവരും.

22 Though your people, O Israel, be like the sand of the sea, only a remnant will return. Destruction has been decreed, overflowing with righteousness.

യിസ്രായേലേ, നിന്റെ ജനം കടല്ക്കരയിലെ മണൽപോലെ ആയിരുന്നാലും അതിൽ ഒരു ശേഷിപ്പു മാത്രം മടങ്ങിവരും; നീതിയെ പ്രവഹിക്കുന്നതായോരു സംഹാരം നിൎണ്ണയിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

23 For the Lord GOD of Hosts will carry out the destruction decreed upon the whole land.

എങ്ങനെ എന്നാൽ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കൎത്താവു സൎവ്വഭൂമിയുടെയും മദ്ധ്യേ നിൎണ്ണയിക്കപ്പെട്ട സംഹാരം വരുത്തും.

24 Therefore this is what the Lord GOD of Hosts says: “O My people who dwell in Zion, do not fear Assyria, who strikes you with a rod and lifts his staff against you as the Egyptians did.

അതുകൊണ്ടു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കൎത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: സീയോനിൽ വസിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ ജനമേ, അശ്ശൂർ വടികൊണ്ടു നിന്നെ അടിക്കയും മിസ്രയീമിലെ വിധത്തിൽ നിന്റെ നേരെ ചൂരൽ ഓങ്ങുകയും ചെയ്താലും നീ അവനെ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ.

25 For in just a little while My fury against you will subside, and My anger will turn to their destruction.”

ഇനി കുറഞ്ഞോന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു എന്റെ ക്രോധവും അവരുടെ സംഹാരത്തോടെ എന്റെ കോപവും തിൎന്നുപോകും.

26 And the LORD of Hosts will brandish a whip against them, as when He struck Midian at the rock of Oreb. He will raise His staff over the sea, as He did in Egypt.

ഓറേബ് പാറെക്കരികെ വെച്ചുള്ള മിദ്യാന്റെ സംഹാരത്തിൽ എന്നപോലെ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അവന്റെ നേരെ ഒരു ചമ്മട്ടിയെ പൊക്കും; അവൻ തന്റെ വടി സമുദ്രത്തിന്മേൽ നീട്ടും; മിസ്രയീമിൽ ചെയ്തതുപോലെ അതിനെ ഓങ്ങും.

27 On that day the burden will be lifted from your shoulders, and the yoke from your neck. The yoke will be broken because your neck will be too large.

അന്നാളിൽ അവന്റെ ചുമടു നിന്റെ തോളിൽനിന്നും അവന്റെ നുകം നിന്റെ കഴുത്തിൽ നിന്നും നീങ്ങിപ്പോകും; പുഷ്ടിനിമിത്തം നുകം തകൎന്നുപോകും.

28 Assyria has entered Aiath and passed through Migron, storing their supplies at Michmash.

അവൻ അയ്യാത്തിൽ എത്തി, മിഗ്രോനിൽകൂടി കടന്നു; മിക്മാശിൽ തന്റെ പടക്കോപ്പു വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

29 They have crossed at the ford: “We will spend the night at Geba.” Ramah trembles; Gibeah of Saul flees.

അവർ ചുരം കടന്നു; ഗേബയിൽ രാപാൎത്തു; റാമാ നടുങ്ങുന്നു; ശൌലിന്റെ ഗിബെയാ ഓടിപ്പോയി.

30 Cry aloud, O Daughter of Gallim! Listen, O Laishah! O wretched Anathoth!

ഗല്ലീംപുത്രീ, ഉറക്കെ നിലവിളിക്ക; ലയേശേ, ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകേൾക്ക; അനാഥോത്തേ, ഉത്തരം പറക.

31 Madmenah flees; the people of Gebim take refuge.

മദ്മേനാ ഓട്ടം തുടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഗെബീംനിവാസികൾ ഓട്ടത്തിന്നു വട്ടംകൂട്ടുന്നു.

32 Yet today they will halt at Nob, shaking a fist at the mount of Daughter Zion, at the hill of Jerusalem.

ഇന്നു അവൻ നോബിൽ താമസിക്കും; യെരൂശലേംഗിരിയായ സീയോൻ പുത്രിയുടെ പൎവ്വതത്തിന്റെ നേരെ അവൻ കൈ കുലുക്കുന്നു.

33 Behold, the Lord GOD of Hosts will lop off the branches with terrifying power. The tall trees will be cut down, the lofty ones will be felled.

സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കൎത്താവു കൊമ്പുകളെ ഭയങ്കരമായി മുറിച്ചുകളയും; പൊക്കത്തിൽ വളൎന്നവയെ അവൻ വെട്ടിയിടുകയും ഉയൎന്നവയെ താഴ്ത്തുകയും ചെയ്യും.

34 He will clear the forest thickets with an axe, and Lebanon will fall before the Mighty One.

അവൻ വനത്തിലെ പള്ളക്കാടുകളെ ഇരിമ്പായുധംകൊണ്ടു വെട്ടിക്കളയും; ലെബാനോനും ബലവാന്റെ കയ്യാൽ വീണുപോകും.
