Hosea 6

1 Come, let us return to the LORD. For He has torn us to pieces, but He will heal us; He has wounded us, but He will bind up our wounds.

“आओ, हम याहवेह की ओर लौटें. उसने हमें फाड़कर टुकड़े-टुकड़े कर दिया है पर वह हमें चंगा करेंगे; उन्होंने हमें चोट पहुंचाई है, पर वही हमारे घावों पर मरहम पट्टी करेंगे.

2 After two days He will revive us; on the third day He will raise us up, that we may live in His presence.

दो दिन के बाद वह हममें सुधार लाएंगे; और तीसरे दिन वह हमें हमारे पूर्व स्थिति में ले आएंगे, ताकि हम उनकी उपस्थिति में बने रहें.

3 So let us know— let us press on to know the LORD. As surely as the sun rises, He will appear; He will come to us like the rain, like the spring showers that water the earth.

आओ, हम याहवेह को मान लें; आओ, हम उसको जानने के लिये यत्न करें. जिस प्रकार निश्चित रूप से सूर्य उदय होता है, उसी प्रकार वह भी निश्चित रूप से प्रगट होंगे; वह हमारे पास ठंड के वर्षा के समान, वर्षा ऋतु के बारिश के समान आएंगे, जो भूमि को सींच जाती है.”

4 What shall I do with you, O Ephraim? What shall I do with you, O Judah? For your loyalty is like a morning mist, like the early dew that vanishes.

“हे एफ्राईम, मैं तुम्हारे लिये क्या कर सकता हूं? हे यहूदाह, मैं तुम्हारे लिये क्या कर सकता हूं? तुम्हारा प्रेम सुबह के कोहरे के समान, बड़े सबेरे पड़नेवाले ओस के समान है, जो गायब हो जाती है.

5 Therefore I have hewn them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of My mouth, and My judgments go forth like lightning.

इसलिये मैंने तुम्हें अपने भविष्यवक्ताओं के द्वारा काटकर टुकड़े-टुकड़े कर डाला, मैंने अपने मुंह के वचन से मार डाला है— तब मेरा न्याय सूर्य के समान आगे बढ़ता है.

6 For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.

क्योंकि मैं बलिदान से नहीं, पर दया से, और होमबलि की अपेक्षा से नहीं, परमेश्वर को मानने से प्रसन्‍न होता हूं.

7 But they, like Adam, have transgressed the covenant; there they were unfaithful to Me.

आदम के जैसे, उन्होंने वाचा को तोड़ दिया है; उन्होंने वहां मेरे साथ विश्वासघात किया था.

8 Gilead is a city of evildoers, tracked with footprints of blood.

गिलआद दुष्ट काम करनेवालों का एक शहर है, वहां खून के पद-चिन्हों के निशान हैं.

9 Like raiders who lie in ambush, so does a band of priests; they murder on the way to Shechem; surely they have committed atrocities.

जैसे लुटेरे अपने शिकार के लिये छिपकर घात में रहते हैं, वैसे ही पुरोहितों के गिरोह भी करते हैं; वे अपनी बुरी योजनाओं को पूरा करते हुए, शेकेम के रास्ते पर हत्या करते हैं.

10 In the house of Israel I have seen a horrible thing: Ephraim practices prostitution there, and Israel is defiled.

मैंने इस्राएल में एक भयावह चीज़ देखी है: वहां एफ्राईम को वेश्यावृत्ति के लिये दिया जाता है, इस्राएल अशुद्ध होता है.

11 Also for you, O Judah, a harvest is appointed, when I restore My people from captivity.

“हे यहूदिया, तुम्हारे लिए कटनी का एक दिन ठहराया गया है. “जब मैं अपने लोगों के पुराने दिनों को लौटा लाऊंगा,
