Hosea 5
1 “Hear this, O priests! Take heed, O house of Israel! Give ear, O royal house! For this judgment is against you because you have been a snare at Mizpah, a net spread out on Tabor.
“যাজকেরা, তোমরা শোনো! ইস্রায়েলীরা, তোমরা মনোযোগ দাও! ওহে রাজকুল, তোমরাও শোনো! তোমাদের বিরুদ্ধে দণ্ডাজ্ঞা এই: তোমরা মিস্পাতে ফাঁদস্বরূপ ও তাবোরে পাতা জালস্বরূপ হয়েছ।
2 The rebels are deep in slaughter; but I will chastise them all.
বিদ্রোহীদের হত্যাকাণ্ডের মাত্রা অত্যন্ত গভীর, আমি তাদের সকলকে শাস্তি দেব।
3 I know all about Ephraim, and Israel is not hidden from Me. For now, O Ephraim, you have turned to prostitution; Israel is defiled.
ইফ্রয়িম সম্পর্কে আমি সবকিছু জানি; ইস্রায়েলও আমার কাছে গুপ্ত নয়। ইফ্রয়িম, তুমি এখন বেশ্যাবৃত্তির গ্রহণ করেছ, আর ইস্রায়েল হয়েছে কলুষিত।
4 Their deeds do not permit them to return to their God, for a spirit of prostitution is within them, and they do not know the LORD.
“এদের কীর্তিকলাপ এদের ঈশ্বরের কাছে ফিরে আসার জন্য এদের বাধা দেয়। কারণ তাদের অন্তরে রয়েছে বেশ্যাবৃত্তির মনোভাব, তারা সদাপ্রভুকে স্বীকার করে না।
5 Israel’s arrogance testifies against them; Israel and Ephraim stumble in their iniquity; even Judah stumbles with them.
ইস্রায়েলের ঔদ্ধত্য তাদের বিরুদ্ধেই সাক্ষ্য দেয়; ইস্রায়েলীরা, এমনকি ইফ্রয়িমও তাদের পাপে হোঁচট খায়; এদের সঙ্গে যিহূদাও হোঁচট খেয়ে পড়ে।
6 They go with their flocks and herds to seek the LORD, but they do not find Him; He has withdrawn Himself from them.
তারা যখন তাদের গোপাল ও মেষপাল নিয়ে সদাপ্রভুর অন্বেষণে যাবে, তখন তারা তাঁর সন্ধান পাবে না; তিনি তাদের কাছ থেকে নিজেকে সরিয়ে নিয়েছেন।
7 They have been unfaithful to the LORD; for they have borne illegitimate children. Now the New Moon will devour them along with their land.
তারা সদাপ্রভুর কাছে অবিশ্বস্ত হয়েছে, তারা অবৈধ সন্তানদের জন্ম দিয়েছে। এখন তাদের অমাবস্যার উৎসবগুলি তিনি তাদের ক্ষেত্রগুলিকে গ্রাস করবে।
8 Blow the ram’s horn in Gibeah, the trumpet in Ramah; raise the battle cry in Beth-aven: Lead on, O Benjamin!
“তোমরা গিবিয়াতে তূরীধ্বনি করো, রামাতে বাজাও শিঙা। বেথ-আবনে তোমরা রণনাদ করো; বিন্যামীন, তুমি নেতৃত্ব দাও।
9 Ephraim will be laid waste on the day of rebuke. Among the tribes of Israel I proclaim what is certain.
হিসেব চোকানোর দিনে ইফ্রয়িম হবে জনশূন্য ও ধ্বংসস্থান পরিত্যক্ত। আমি ইস্রায়েলের গোষ্ঠীসমূহের মধ্যে যা নিশ্চিতরূপে ঘটবে তা ঘোষণা করেছি।
10 The princes of Judah are like those who move boundary stones; I will pour out My fury upon them like water.
যিহূদার নেতারা তাদের মতো, যারা সীমানার পাথরগুলি সরিয়ে ফেলে। বন্যার স্রোতের মতোই আমি তাদের উপরে ঢেলে দেব আমার ক্রোধ।
11 Ephraim is oppressed, crushed in judgment, for he is determined to follow worthless idols.
ইফ্রয়িম অত্যাচারিত হয়েছে, বিচারে পদদলিত হয়েছে, প্রতিমাদের পিছনে ধাওয়া করায় সে নিবিষ্ট।
12 So I am like a moth to Ephraim, and like decay to the house of Judah.
ইফ্রয়িমের কাছে আমি পোকার মতো, যিহূদার লোকেদের কাছে পচনের মতো।
13 When Ephraim saw his sickness and Judah his wound, then Ephraim turned to Assyria and sent to the great king. But he cannot cure you or heal your wound.
“ইফ্রয়িম যখন তার অসুস্থতা ও যিহূদা তার ক্ষতগুলি দেখতে পেল, তখন ইফ্রয়িম আসিরিয়ার দিকে ফিরে তাকালো তাদের মহারাজের কাছে সাহায্য চেয়ে পাঠাল। কিন্তু সে তোমাদের আরোগ্য সাধন বা তোমাদের ক্ষতগুলি নিরাময় করতে অক্ষম।
14 For I am like a lion to Ephraim and like a young lion to the house of Judah. I, even I, will tear them to pieces and then go away. I will carry them off where no one can rescue them.
কেননা আমি ইফ্রয়িমের কাছে সিংহের মতো হব, যিহূদার কাছে হব যুবসিংহের মতো। আমি তাদের বিদীর্ণ করে চলে যাব; আমি তাদের তুলে নিয়ে যাব, কেউ পারবে না তাদের উদ্ধার করতে।
15 Then I will return to My place until they admit their guilt and seek My face; in their affliction they will earnestly seek Me.”
তারপর আমি স্বস্থানে ফিরে যাব, যতক্ষণ না তারা নিজেদের অপরাধ স্বীকার করে। আর তারা আমার শ্রীমুখের অন্বেষী হবে তাদের চরম দুর্দশায় তারা আগ্রহভরে আমার অন্বেষণ করবে।”
