Habakkuk 1
1 This is the burden that Habakkuk the prophet received in a vision:
हबकूक अगमवक्ताले पाएका भविष्यवाणी यही हो।
2 How long, O LORD, must I call for help but You do not hear, or cry out to You, “Violence!” but You do not save?
हे याहवेह, मैले कहिलेसम्म सहायताको निम्ति पुकारूँ, तर तपाईंले सुन्नुहुन्न? “हिंसा!” भनी मैले तपाईंलाई कहिलेसम्म पुकारूँ, तर तपाईंले सुन्नुहुन्न?
3 Why do You make me see iniquity? Why do You tolerate wrongdoing? Destruction and violence are before me. Strife is ongoing, and conflict abounds.
किन तपाईं मलाई अन्याय हेर्न लगाउनुहुन्छ? किन तपाईं अत्याचार सहनुहुन्छ? मेरो सामु हिंसा र विनाश भइरहेका छन्; झैझगडा र वाद-विवाद चारैतिर भइरहेका छन्।
4 Therefore the law is paralyzed, and justice never goes forth. For the wicked hem in the righteous, so that justice is perverted.
यसकारण कानुन-व्यवस्था मन्द भएको छ; अनि न्यायाधीशहरूले कहिल्यै असल न्याय गर्दैनन्। दुष्टहरूले धर्मीहरूलाई घेर्छन्; यसकारण न्यायको दुरुपयोग हुन्छ।
5 “Look at the nations and observe— be utterly astounded! For I am doing a work in your days that you would never believe even if someone told you.
“राष्ट्रहरूलाई हेर्, विचार गर्, र आश्चर्यचकित हो; किनकि तिमीहरूको समयमा यस्तो एउटा काम गर्नेछु, जुन तिमीहरूलाई भनियो भने पनि तिमीहरूले विश्वास गर्नेछैनौ।
6 For behold, I am raising up the Chaldeans — that ruthless and impetuous nation which marches through the breadth of the earth to seize dwellings not their own.
म बेबिलोनीहरूलाई खडा गर्दैछु, जो निर्दयी र उग्र स्वभावका छन्; तिनीहरू अर्काको घरबारहरू कब्जा गर्नलाई सारा पृथ्वीभरि नै बढेर जान्छन्।
7 They are dreaded and feared; from themselves they derive justice and sovereignty.
तिनीहरू भयानक र डरलाग्दा मानिसहरू छन्; तिनीहरू आफैँमा, आफ्ना निम्ति कानुन हुन्, र तिनीहरू आफ्नो मनोमानी गर्छन्।
8 Their horses are swifter than leopards, fiercer than wolves of the night. Their horsemen charge ahead, and their cavalry comes from afar. They fly like a vulture, swooping down to devour.
तिनीहरूका घोडाहरू चितुवाभन्दा छिटो दगुर्छन्; तिनीहरू राति निस्कने ब्वाँसाहरूभन्दा हिंस्रक छन्। तिनीहरूका घोडचढी सेनाहरू एकोहोरो अगि बढ्छन्; तिनीहरूका घोडसवारहरू टाढाबाट आउँछन्। तिनीहरू शिकारलाई झम्टिन वेग हानेर उड्ने चीलझैँ आउँछन्;
9 All of them come bent on violence; their hordes advance like the east wind; they gather prisoners like sand.
तिनीहरू सबै हिंसा मच्चाउन तम्सिन्छन्। तिनीहरूको सैन्यदल मरुभूमिको हुरीझैँ अगि बढ्छ, र कैदीहरूलाई बालुवाझैँ एक ठाउँमा जम्मा गर्छन्।
10 They scoff at kings and make rulers an object of scorn. They laugh at every fortress and build up siege ramps to seize it.
तिनीहरूले राजाहरूको गिल्ला गर्छन्, र शासकहरूको खिल्ली उडाउँछन्। तिनीहरू बलियो किल्ला भएका सहरहरूलाई हाँसोमा उडाउँछन्; तिनीहरूले माटोको ढिस्को खडा गरेरै ती कब्जा गर्दछन्।
11 Then they sweep by like the wind and pass on through. They are guilty; their own strength is their god.”
त्यसपछि तिनीहरू जोडसँग हावा बहेझैँ हुँइकिन्छन् र अगि बढिरहन्छन्; तर ती दोषी मानिसहरू हुन्; किनकि तिनीहरूको आफ्नो शक्ति भनेको नै तिनीहरूको देवता हो।”
12 Are You not from everlasting, O LORD, my God, my Holy One? We will not die. O LORD, You have appointed them to execute judgment; O Rock, You have established them for correction.
हे याहवेह, के तपाईं अनादिदेखि नै हुनुहुन्न र? हे मेरा परमेश्वर, मेरा पवित्र परमेश्वर, तपाईंको अन्त्य कहिल्यै हुँदैन। हे याहवेह, तपाईंले तिनीहरूलाई न्याय कायम राख्नलाई नियुक्त गर्नुभएको छ। हे मेरा चट्टान, तपाईंले तिनीहरूलाई दण्ड दिनका निम्ति नियुक्त गर्नुभएको छ।
13 Your eyes are too pure to look upon evil, and You cannot tolerate wrongdoing. So why do You tolerate the faithless? Why are You silent while the wicked swallow up those more righteous than themselves?
तपाईंका दृष्टिहरू यति पवित्र छन्, कि तपाईं दुष्ट कुरा हेर्न सक्नुहुन्न, र दुष्ट कार्यहरू पनि सहन सक्नुहुन्न। तब किन तपाईं विश्वासघातीहरूलाई सहनुहुन्छ? जब दुष्टहरूले आफूभन्दा धर्मीहरूलाई निल्दछन्, तब किन तपाईं चुप लागेर बस्नुहुन्छ?
14 You have made men like the fish of the sea, like creeping things that have no ruler.
तपाईंले मानिसहरूलाई समुद्रका माछा र शासकविनाका सामुद्रिक प्राणीहरूजस्ता बनाउनुभएको छ।
15 The foe pulls all of them up with a hook; he catches them in his dragnet, and gathers them in his fishing net; so he rejoices gladly.
दुष्ट शत्रुले तिनीहरू सबैलाई बल्छीले उनेर बाहिर निकाल्छ, र त्यसले तिनीहरूलाई आफ्नो जालमा पक्रन्छ; त्यसले आफ्नो महाजालमा तिनीहरूलाई जम्मा गर्छ; यसरी त्यो रमाउँछ र आनन्द मनाउँछ।
16 Therefore he sacrifices to his dragnet and burns incense to his fishing net, for by these things his portion is sumptuous and his food is rich.
त्यसकारण त्यसले आफ्नो जाललाई बलि चढाउँछ, र महाजालको निम्ति धूप बाल्छ; किनकि त्यसको जालको कमाइले त्यो चैन गर्दछ, र उत्तम-उत्तम भोजनको आनन्द लिँदछ।
17 Will he, therefore, empty his net and continue to slay nations without mercy?
के तपाईं त्यसलाई आफ्नो जाल रित्याउँदै निर्दयतापूर्वक राष्ट्रहरूलाई नष्ट गरिरहन दिनुहुन्छ?
