Genesis 7
1 Then the LORD said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and all your family, because I have found you righteous in this generation.
Yavé dijo a Noé: Entra tú y toda tu casa en el arca, porque te he visto justo delante de Mí en esta generación.
2 You are to take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate; a pair of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate;
De todo animal limpio tomarás contigo siete pares, macho y su hembra, pero del animal que no es limpio tomarás dos, el macho y su hembra.
3 and seven pairs of every kind of bird of the air, male and female, to preserve their offspring on the face of all the earth.
También [tomarás] de las aves del cielo, de siete en siete, macho y hembra, para preservar la descendencia sobre la superficie de toda la tierra.
4 For seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living thing I have made.”
Porque dentro de siete días Yo enviaré lluvia sobre la tierra durante 40 días y 40 noches, y arrasaré de la superficie de la tierra todo ser viviente que hice.
5 And Noah did all that the LORD had commanded him.
Noé hizo conforme a todo lo que Yavé le ordenó.
6 Now Noah was 600 years old when the floodwaters came upon the earth.
Noé tenía 600 años cuando el diluvio de aguas vino sobre la tierra.
7 And Noah and his wife, with his sons and their wives, entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood.
Ante las aguas del diluvio, Noé entró en el arca, y con él sus hijos, su esposa y las esposas de sus hijos.
8 The clean and unclean animals, the birds, and everything that crawls along the ground
De los animales limpios y de los animales no limpios, de las aves, y de todo lo que repta sobre la tierra,
9 came to Noah to enter the ark, two by two, male and female, as God had commanded Noah.
de dos en dos llegaron a Noé, al arca, macho y hembra, según ʼElohim ordenó a Noé.
10 And after seven days the floodwaters came upon the earth.
Sucedió que a los siete días, las aguas del diluvio vinieron sobre la tierra.
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, on the seventeenth day of the second month, all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened.
El año 600 de la vida de Noé, en el día 17 del segundo mes, reventaron todas las fuentes del gran abismo. Las compuertas del cielo fueron abiertas
12 And the rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.
y vino la lluvia sobre la tierra 40 días y 40 noches.
13 On that very day Noah entered the ark, along with his sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and his wife, and the three wives of his sons—
Ese mismo día Noé entró en el arca con Sem, Cam y Jafet, hijos de Noé, la esposa de Noé y las tres esposas de sus hijos con ellos.
14 they and every kind of wild animal, livestock, crawling creature, bird, and winged creature.
Ellos, toda bestia salvaje según su especie, todo animal según su especie, todo reptil que repta sobre la tierra según su especie, toda ave según su especie, y todo pájaro, todo alado.
15 They came to Noah to enter the ark, two by two of every creature with the breath of life.
Llegaron a Noé, al arca, de dos en dos, de toda carne en la cual había aliento de vida.
16 And they entered, the male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah. Then the LORD shut him in.
Los que llegaron, macho y hembra de toda carne, entraron tal como ʼElohim lo ordenó. Y Yavé le cerró la puerta.
17 For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and the waters rose and lifted the ark high above the earth.
Vino el diluvio sobre la tierra durante 40 días. Las aguas crecieron y levantaron el arca. Ésta se elevó sobre la tierra.
18 So the waters continued to surge and rise greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the waters.
Las aguas crecieron muchísimo sobre la tierra. Flotaba el arca sobre la superficie de las aguas.
19 Finally, the waters completely inundated the earth, so that all the high mountains under all the heavens were covered.
Las aguas crecieron mucho por encima de la tierra, de modo que quedaron cubiertas todas las altas montañas que están debajo de todo el cielo.
20 The waters rose and covered the mountaintops to a depth of fifteen cubits.
Las montañas quedaron cubiertas, y las aguas subieron 6,75 metros por encima de ellas.
21 And every living thing that moved upon the earth perished—birds, livestock, animals, every creature that swarms upon the earth, and all mankind.
Pereció toda carne que se movía sobre la tierra, tanto aves como ganado, bestias y todo lo que se arrastra sobre la tierra, y todo ser humano.
22 Of all that was on dry land, everything that had the breath of life in its nostrils died.
Todo lo que tenía aliento de vida en sus fosas nasales, todo lo que vivía en tierra seca, murió.
23 And every living thing on the face of the earth was destroyed—man and livestock, crawling creatures and birds of the air; they were blotted out from the earth, and only Noah and those with him in the ark remained.
Arrasó todo lo que existía sobre la superficie de la tierra. Desde el hombre hasta la bestia, los reptiles y las aves del cielo fueron exterminados de la tierra. En el arca solo quedaron Noé y los que estaban con él.
24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth for 150 days.
Prevalecieron las aguas sobre la tierra 150 días.
