Ezra 4
1 When the enemies of Judah and Benjamin heard that the exiles were building a temple for the LORD, the God of Israel,
၁သိမ်း သွားခြင်းကိုခံရသောအမျိုးသား တို့သည်၊ ဣသရေလ အမျိုး၏ ဘုရား သခင်ထာဝရဘုရား အဘို့ ဗိမာန် တော်ကို တည် ကြသည်ဟု ယုဒ အမျိုးနှင့် ဗင်္ယာမိန် အမျိုး၏ ရန်သူ တို့သည် ကြား လျှင်၊
2 they approached Zerubbabel and the heads of the families, saying, “Let us build with you because, like you, we seek your God and have been sacrificing to Him since the time of King Esar-haddon of Assyria, who brought us here.”
၂ဇေရုဗဗေလ နှင့် အဆွေအမျိုးသူကြီး တို့ထံ သို့လာ ၍ ၊ ငါတို့သည် သင် တို့ထံ၌ တည်းခိုပါရစေ။ သင် တို့၏ ဘုရား သခင်ကို သင် တို့ရှာသကဲ့သို့ ငါတို့လည်း ရှာ ကြ၏။ ငါ တို့ကို ဤ ပြည်သို့ဆောင် ခဲ့သော အာရှုရိ ရှင်ဘုရင် ဧသရဟဒ္ဒုန် လက်ထက် မှစ၍ ထိုဘုရား သခင်အား ယဇ် ပူဇော်ကြသည်ဟု ဆို ကြသော်၊
3 But Zerubbabel, Jeshua, and the other heads of the families of Israel replied, “You have no part with us in building a house for our God, since we alone must build it for the LORD, the God of Israel, as Cyrus king of Persia has commanded us.”
၃ဇေရုဗဗေလ နှင့် ယောရှု အစရှိသော ဣသရေလ အဆွေအမျိုးသူကြီး တို့က၊ ငါ တို့၏ဘုရား သခင်အဘို့ ဗိမာန် တော်တည် ခြင်းအမှုကို၊ သင် တို့သည် ငါ တို့နှင့် ဝိုင်း၍ မ လုပ်ရ။ ပေရသိ ရှင်ဘုရင် ကုရု မင်းကြီး အမိန့် တော်အတိုင်း ၊ ဣသရေလ အမျိုး၏ ဘုရား သခင်ထာဝရဘုရား အဘို့ ငါ တို့သည် ကိုယ်တိုင်တည် ရမည်ဟု ပြန်ပြော ကြ ၏။
4 Then the people of the land set out to discourage the people of Judah and make them afraid to build.
၄ထိုအခါ ပြည်သား တို့သည် ယုဒ အမျိုး တို့ကို လက် အားလျော့ စေ၍ ၊ တည် ဆောက်ခြင်းအမှုကို နှောင့်ရှက် ကြ၏။
5 They hired counselors against them to frustrate their plans throughout the reign of Cyrus king of Persia and down to the reign of Darius king of Persia.
၅ယုဒ အမျိုးသား တို့၏ အကြံ ကိုဖျက်ဆီး ခြင်းငှါ ၊ ပေရသိ ရှင်ဘုရင် ကုရု လက်ထက် ကာလပတ်လုံး မှသည်၊ ပေရသိ ရှင်ဘုရင် ဒါရိ လက်ထက် တိုင်အောင် ၊ ရှေ့နေ တို့ကို ငှါး၍ထားကြ၏။
6 At the beginning of the reign of Xerxes, an accusation was lodged against the people of Judah and Jerusalem.
၆အာရွှေရု နန်း ထိုင်စ က ယုဒ ပြည်သူ ၊ ယေရုရှလင် မြို့သားတို့၌ အပြစ် တင်သောလွှာစာကို ပေးလိုက်ကြ၏။
7 And in the days of Artaxerxes king of Persia, Bishlam, Mithredath, Tabeel, and the rest of his associates wrote a letter to Artaxerxes. It was written in Aramaic and then translated.
၇အာတဇေရဇ် လက်ထက် ၌ ဗိရှလံ ၊ မိသရေဒတ် ၊ တဗေလ နှင့် အခြား သောအပေါင်း အဘော်တို့သည်၊ ရှုရိ ဘာသာစကားနှင့် ရေး သော လွှာစာ ကို၊ ပေရသိ ရှင်ဘုရင် အာတဇေရဇ် ထံ သို့ပေးလိုက်ကြ၏။
8 Rehum the commander and Shimshai the scribe wrote the letter against Jerusalem to King Artaxerxes as follows:
၈စာတိုက် စိုးရေဟုံ နှင့် မြို့စာရေး ရှိမရှဲ တို့သည်၊ ယေရုရှလင် မြို့ကို ရန်ဘက် ပြုလျက်၊ အာတဇေရဇ် မင်းကြီး ထံသို့စာ ပေးလိုက်၍၊
9 From Rehum the commander, Shimshai the scribe, and the rest of their associates—the judges and officials over Tripolis, Persia, Erech and Babylon, the Elamites of Susa,
၉စာတိုက် စိုးရေဟုံ ၊ မြို့စာရေး ရှိမရှဲ နှင့် အခြား သော အပေါင်း အဘော်၊ ဒိနဲ ပြည်သား၊ အဖာသသက် ပြည်သား၊ တာပေလ ပြည်သား၊ အဖာရသ ပြည်သား၊ အာခေဝ ပြည်သား၊ ဗာဗုလုန် ပြည်သား၊ ရှုရှနက် ပြည်သား၊ ဒေဟဝ ပြည်သား၊ ဧလံ ပြည်သားအစရှိသော၊
10 and the rest of the peoples whom the great and honorable Ashurbanipal deported and settled in the cities of Samaria and elsewhere west of the Euphrates.
၁၀ကြီး မြတ်သောမင်း အာသနပ္ပါ ဆောင် ခဲ့၍ ၊ ရှမာရိ မြို့ ရွာတို့၌ နေရာ ချသောသူများနှင့်၊ မြစ် အနောက် ဘက်၌နေသောအခြား သူများတို့သည်၊ ဤမည်သောနေ့ရက်ကာလတွင်၊
11 (This is the text of the letter they sent to him.) To King Artaxerxes, From your servants, the men west of the Euphrates:
၁၁အာတဇေရဇ် မင်းကြီး ထံ သို့ပေး လိုက်သော စာ ဟူမူကား ၊ မြစ် အနောက် ဘက်၌နေသောကိုယ်တော်ကျွန် တို့သည်၊ ဤ မည်သောနေ့ရက် ကာလတွင် လျှောက် ပါ၏။
12 Let it be known to the king that the Jews who came from you to us have returned to Jerusalem. And they are rebuilding that rebellious and wicked city, restoring its walls, and repairing its foundations.
၁၂အထံတော် မှ ကျွန်တော် တို့ရှိရာ သို့ ရောက် လာသော ယုဒ လူတို့သည် ဆိုးညစ် ၍ ၊ ပုန်ကန် တတ်သော ယေရုရှလင် မြို့ ကို တည်လျက်၊ မြို့ရိုး အမြစ်ကိုချ ၍ လက်စသတ် လုသည်ကို သိ မှတ်တော်မူပါ။
13 Let it now be known to the king that if that city is rebuilt and its walls are restored, they will not pay tribute, duty, or toll, and the royal treasury will suffer.
၁၃ထိုမြို့ ကိုတည် ပြန်၍ မြို့ရိုး ကိုလက်စသတ် လျှင် ၊ ငွေတော် ခွဲခြင်း ကိုမခံ၊ အခွန် တော်အကောက် တော်ကို မ ပေး ဘဲနေ၍၊ နိုင်ငံတော်အကျိုး နည်းပါလိမ့်မည်ကို သိ မှတ်တော်မူပါ။
14 Now because we are in the service of the palace and it is not fitting for us to allow the king to be dishonored, we have sent to inform the king
၁၄ကျွန်တော်တို့ သည် ကျေးဇူးတော် အားဖြင့် အသက်မွေး ရ သောသူဖြစ် သည်နှင့် အညီ၊ ကိုယ်တော်၌ ဘုန်းတော် လျော့ကြောင်း ကို ကြည့် ၍ မ နေ သင့် သောကြောင့်၊ ဘိုး တော်ဘေးတော်တို့၏မှတ် စာကို စစ်ကြော တော်မူမည်အကြောင်း ဤလျှောက် စာကို ပေး လိုက်ပါ၏။
15 that a search should be made of the record books of your fathers. In these books you will discover and verify that the city is a rebellious city, harmful to kings and provinces, inciting sedition from ancient times. That is why this city was destroyed.
၁၅ယေရုရှလင်မြို့ သည် ပုန်ကန် တတ်သောမြို့ ၊ ရှင် ဘုရင်အကျိုးနှင့် နိုင်ငံ တော်အကျိုး စီးပွားကို ဖျက်ဆီးတတ်သောမြို့ဖြစ်ဘူး၍၊ ရှေး ကာလ ၌ မြို့ထဲ မှာ ပုန်ကန် သောအကြံကို အစဉ်ပြုစု သောကြောင့်၊ အတိုက် အဖျက်ခံရပါသည် အကြောင်းအရာများကို ထို မှတ် စာ၌ တွေ့ ၍ သိ တော်မူပါလိမ့်မည်။
16 We advise the king that if this city is rebuilt and its walls are restored, you will have no dominion west of the Euphrates.
၁၆ထို မြို့ ကိုတည် ပြန်၍ မြို့ရိုး ကို လက်စသတ် လျှင် ၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် မြစ် အနောက် ဘက်၌ အစိုးရတော်မမူ ကြောင်းကို ကျွန်တော် တို့ လျှောက် ထားပါသည်ဟု စာ၌ ပါသတည်း။
17 Then the king sent this reply: To Rehum the commander, Shimshai the scribe, and the rest of your associates living in Samaria and elsewhere in the region west of the Euphrates: Greetings.
၁၇ရှင် ဘုရင်သည် စာတိုက် စိုးရေဟုံ နှင့် မြို့စာရေး ရှိမရှဲ မှစ၍၊ ရှမာရိ မြို့၌ နေ သော ထိုသူ တို့၏ အပေါင်း အဘော်များ၊ မြစ် အနောက် ဘက်၌နေသောအခြား သူများတို့ ရှိရာ သို့ ပြန်ပေး လိုက်သော စာ ဟူမူကား၊
18 The letter you sent us has been translated and read in my presence.
၁၈ဤ မည်သော နေ့ရက် ကာလတွင်၊ ငါရေး၍ သင်တို့ ချမ်းသာ ပါစေ။ ငါ့ ထံ သို့သင်တို့ပေး လိုက်သော စာ ကို ငါ့ ရှေ့ မှာ အနက် ပြန်၍ဘတ် ပြီ။
19 I issued a decree, and a search was conducted. It was discovered that this city has revolted against kings from ancient times, engaging in rebellion and sedition.
၁၉ငါ မှာ ထားသည် အတိုင်း စစ်ကြော ကြသောအခါ၊ ထို မြို့ သည် ရှေး ကာလ ၌ ရှင် ဘုရင်တို့ကို ပုန်ကန် ကြောင်း၊ မ ကောင်းသောအကြံကို ကြံတတ်သောမြို့၊ ပုန်ကန်တတ် သော မြို့ဖြစ်ကြောင်း၊
20 And mighty kings have ruled over Jerusalem and exercised authority over the whole region west of the Euphrates; and tribute, duty, and toll were paid to them.
၂၀ငွေ တော်ကို ခွဲလျက်၊ အခွန် တော်အကောက် တော်ကိုခံလျက်၊ မြစ် အနောက် ဘက် တရှောက်လုံး ကို အစိုးရ ၍ တန်ခိုး ကြီးသော ရှင် ဘုရင်တို့သည် ယေရုရှလင် မြို့၌ နေဘူးကြောင်းများကို သိရ၏။
21 Now, therefore, issue an order for these men to stop, so that this city will not be rebuilt until I so order.
၂၁သို့ဖြစ်၍ ငါသည်အခွင့် မပေးမှီတိုင်အောင် ၊ ထိုသူတို့သည် မြို့ ကို မ တည် ဘဲ နေစေမည် အကြောင်း အမိန့် တော်ကိုဆင့်ဆို ကြလော့။
22 See that you do not neglect this matter. Why allow this threat to increase and the royal interests to suffer?
၂၂နိုင်ငံတော် အကျိုး မ ပျက်စီးစေ ခြင်းငှါ သတိ ပြု၍ ဤ အမှုကို စေ့စေ့ကြည့်ရှု ကြလော့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
23 When the text of the letter from King Artaxerxes was read to Rehum, Shimshai the scribe, and their associates, they went immediately to the Jews in Jerusalem and forcibly stopped them.
၂၃အာတဇေရဇ် မင်းကြီး စာ ကို ရေဟုံ နှင့် မြို့စာရေး ရှိမရှဲ အစရှိသောသူ တို့ အပေါင်း အဘော်ရှေ့မှာ ဘတ် ပြီးလျှင်၊ သူတို့သည် ယေရုရှလင် မြို့၊ ယုဒ လူတို့ရှိရာ သို့ အလျင် အမြန်သွား ၍ ယုဒလူတို့၏ အလုပ်အကိုင်ကို အနိုင် အထက်ဆီးတား ကြ၏။
24 Thus the construction of the house of God in Jerusalem ceased, and it remained at a standstill until the second year of the reign of Darius king of Persia.
၂၄ထိုသို့ ယေရုရှလင် မြို့၏ ဗိမာန် တော် တည်ခြင်း အမှုပြတ်၍၊ ပေရသိ ရှင် ဘုရင် ဒါရိ နန်းစံ နှစ် နှစ် တိုင်အောင် လက်စမသတ်ဘဲနေလေ၏။
