< Ezekiel 1 >

1 In the thirtieth year, on the fifth day of the fourth month, while I was among the exiles by the River Kebar, the heavens opened and I saw visions of God.
Ní ọjọ́ karùn-ún, oṣù kẹrin tí mo di ọmọ ọgbọ̀n ọdún tí mo wà láàrín àwọn ìgbèkùn ní etí odò Kebari, àwọn ọ̀run ṣí sílẹ̀, mo sì rí ìran Ọlọ́run.
2 On the fifth day of the month—it was the fifth year of the exile of King Jehoiachin—
Ní ọjọ́ karùn-ún oṣù—tí ó jẹ́ ọdún karùn-ún ìgbèkùn ọba Jehoiakini—
3 the word of the LORD came directly to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the River Kebar. And there the LORD’s hand was upon him.
ni ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa tọ àlùfáà Esekiẹli, ọmọ Busii wá, létí odò Kebari ni ilẹ̀ àwọn ará Babeli. Níbẹ̀ ni ọwọ́ Olúwa ti wà lára rẹ̀.
4 I looked and saw a whirlwind coming from the north, a great cloud with fire flashing back and forth and brilliant light all around it. In the center of the fire was a gleam like amber,
Mo wò, mo sì rí ìjì tó ń jà bọ̀ láti ìhà àríwá ìkùùkuu tó nípọn pẹ̀lú mọ̀nàmọ́ná ti n bù yẹ̀rì pẹ̀lú ìmọ́lẹ̀ rokoṣo tó yí i ká. Àárín iná náà rí bí ìgbà tí irin bá ń bẹ nínú iná,
5 and within it was the form of four living creatures. And this was their appearance: They had a human form,
àti láàrín iná náà ni ohun tó dàbí ẹ̀dá alààyè mẹ́rin wà. Ìrísí wọn jẹ́ ti ènìyàn,
6 but each had four faces and four wings.
ṣùgbọ́n ẹnìkọ̀ọ̀kan wọn ní ojú mẹ́rin àti ìyẹ́ apá mẹ́rin.
7 Their legs were straight, and the soles of their feet were like the hooves of a calf, gleaming like polished bronze.
Ẹsẹ̀ wọn sì tọ́; àtẹ́lẹsẹ̀ wọn sì rí bí ti ọmọ màlúù, wọ́n sì tàn bí awọ idẹ dídán.
8 Under their wings on their four sides they had human hands. All four living creatures had faces and wings,
Ní abẹ́ ìyẹ́ wọn ní ẹ̀gbẹ́ mẹ́rẹ̀ẹ̀rin wọn ní ọwọ́ ènìyàn. Gbogbo àwọn mẹ́rẹ̀ẹ̀rin ní ojú àti àwọn ìyẹ́,
9 and their wings were touching one another. They did not turn as they moved; each one went straight ahead.
ìyẹ́ wọn kan ara wọn. Bẹ́ẹ̀ ní ọ̀kọ̀ọ̀kan wọn kò padà lọ́nà ibi tí ó ń lọ; ṣùgbọ́n wọ́n ń lọ tààrà ni.
10 The form of their faces was that of a man, and each of the four had the face of a lion on the right side, the face of an ox on the left side, and also the face of an eagle.
Báyìí ni ìrísí ojú àwọn ẹ̀dá alààyè yìí: ọ̀kọ̀ọ̀kan wọn ní ojú ènìyàn, ní apá ọ̀tún wọn, wọ́n ní ojú kìnnìún ní ìhà ọ̀tún, wọ́n ní ojú màlúù ní ìhà òsì, ọ̀kọ̀ọ̀kan wọ́n sì tún ní ojú ẹyẹ idì.
11 Such were their faces. Their wings were spread upward; each had two wings touching the wings of the creature on either side, and two wings covering its body.
Báyìí ni àpèjúwe ojú wọ́n. Ìyẹ́ wọn gbé sókè; ọ̀kọ̀ọ̀kan wọn ní ìyẹ́ méjì, ìyẹ́ ọ̀kan sì kan ti èkejì ni ẹ̀gbẹ̀ẹ̀gbẹ́, ìyẹ́ méjì tó sì tún bo ara wọn.
12 Each creature went straight ahead. Wherever the spirit would go, they would go, without turning as they moved.
Olúkúlùkù wọn ń lọ tààrà. Níbikíbi tí èmi bá ń lọ, ni àwọn náà ń lọ, láì wẹ̀yìn bí wọ́n ti ń lọ.
13 In the midst of the living creatures was the appearance of glowing coals of fire, or of torches. Fire moved back and forth between the living creatures; it was bright, and lightning flashed out of it.
Ìrísí àwọn ẹ̀dá alààyè yìí dàbí ẹyin iná tí ń jó tàbí bí i iná fìtílà. Iná tó ń jó ń lọ sókè lọ sódò láàrín àwọn ẹ̀dá alààyè; iná yìí mọ́lẹ̀ rokoṣo, ó sì ń bù yẹ̀rì yẹ̀rì jáde lára rẹ̀.
14 The creatures were darting back and forth as quickly as flashes of lightning.
Àwọn ẹ̀dá alààyè yìí sì ń sáré lọ sókè lọ sódò bí i ìtànṣán àrá.
15 When I looked at the living creatures, I saw a wheel on the ground beside each creature with its four faces.
Bí mo ti ń wo àwọn ẹ̀dá alààyè yìí, mo rí kẹ̀kẹ́ ní ilẹ̀ ni ẹ̀gbẹ́ ọ̀kọ̀ọ̀kan àwọn ẹ̀dá alààyè wọ̀nyí pẹ̀lú ojú rẹ̀ mẹ́rẹ̀ẹ̀rin.
16 The workmanship of the wheels looked like the gleam of beryl, and all four had the same likeness. Their workmanship looked like a wheel within a wheel.
Àpèjúwe àti ìrísí àwọn kẹ̀kẹ́ náà nìyìí: kẹ̀kẹ́ mẹ́rẹ̀ẹ̀rin rí bákan náà, wọ́n sì ń tàn yinrin yinrin bí i kirisoleti, ọ̀kọ̀ọ̀kan àwọn kẹ̀kẹ́ yìí rí bí i ìgbà tí a fi kẹ̀kẹ́ bọ kẹ̀kẹ́ nínú.
17 As they moved, they went in any of the four directions, without pivoting as they moved.
Àwọn kẹ̀kẹ́ yìí ń yí bí wọ́n ti ń yí, wọ́n ń lọ tààrà sí ibi tí ọ̀kọ̀ọ̀kan àwọn ẹ̀dá alààyè kọjú sí, kẹ̀kẹ́ wọn kò sì yapa bí àwọn ẹ̀dá náà ti n lọ.
18 Their rims were high and awesome, and all four rims were full of eyes all around.
Àwọn ríìmù wọ́n ga, wọ́n sì ba ni lẹ́rù, àwọn ríìmù mẹ́rẹ̀ẹ̀rin sì jẹ́ kìkìdá ojú yíká.
19 So as the living creatures moved, the wheels moved beside them, and when the creatures rose from the ground, the wheels also rose.
Bí àwọn ẹ̀dá bá ń rìn, kẹ̀kẹ́ ẹ̀gbẹ́ wọn náà yóò rìn, bí wọ́n fò sókè, kẹ̀kẹ́ náà yóò fò sókè.
20 Wherever the spirit would go, they would go, and the wheels would rise alongside them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
Ibikíbi tí ẹ̀mí bá ń lọ, kẹ̀kẹ́ wọn yóò sì bá wọn lọ, nítorí pé ẹ̀mí àwọn ẹ̀dá alààyè yìí wà nínú kẹ̀kẹ́ wọn.
21 When the creatures moved, the wheels moved; when the creatures stood still, the wheels stood still; and when the creatures rose from the ground, the wheels rose alongside them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
Bí àwọn ẹ̀dá yìí bá ń lọ, kẹ̀kẹ́ náà yóò lọ; bí wọ́n bá dúró jẹ́ẹ́ kẹ̀kẹ́ náà yóò dúró jẹ́ẹ́, bẹ́ẹ̀ sì ni bí àwọn ẹ̀dá yìí bá dìde nílẹ̀, àwọn kẹ̀kẹ́ yìí yóò dìde pẹ̀lú wọn, nítorí pé ẹ̀mí ẹ̀dá alààyè wọ̀nyí wà nínú àwọn kẹ̀kẹ́.
22 Spread out above the heads of the living creatures was the likeness of an awesome expanse, gleaming like crystal.
Ohun tí ó dàbí òfúrufú ràn bo orí àwọn ẹ̀dá alààyè wọ̀nyí, ó ń tàn yinrin yinrin bí i yìnyín, ó sì ba ni lẹ́rù.
23 And under the expanse, their wings stretched out toward one another. Each one also had two wings covering its body.
Ìyẹ́ wọn sì tọ́ lábẹ́ òfúrufú, èkínní sí èkejì, ọ̀kọ̀ọ̀kan wọn sì ní ìyẹ́ méjì méjì tí ó bo ara wọn.
24 When the creatures moved, I heard the sound of their wings like the roar of many waters, like the voice of the Almighty, like the tumult of an army. When they stood still, they lowered their wings.
Nígbà tí àwọn ẹ̀dá náà gbéra, mo gbọ́ ariwo ìyẹ́ wọn tó bolẹ̀ bí i ríru omi, bí i ohùn Olódùmarè, bí i híhó àwọn jagunjagun. Nígbà tí wọ́n dúró jẹ́ẹ́, wọ́n sì rẹ ìyẹ́ wọn sílẹ̀.
25 And there came a voice from above the expanse over their heads as they stood still with their wings lowered.
Bí wọ́n ṣe dúró tí wọ́n sì rẹ ìyẹ́ wọn sílẹ̀, ohùn kan jáde láti inú òfúrufú tó rán bò wọ́n.
26 Above the expanse over their heads was the likeness of a throne with the appearance of sapphire, and on the throne high above was a figure like that of a man.
Lókè àwọ̀ òfúrufú tó borí wọn yìí ni ohun tí ó ní ìrísí ìtẹ́. Ìtẹ́ náà dàbí òkúta safire, lókè ní orí ìtẹ́ ní ohun tó dàbí ènìyàn wà.
27 From what seemed to be His waist up, I saw a gleam like amber, with what looked like fire within it all around. And from what seemed to be His waist down, I saw what looked like fire; and brilliant light surrounded Him.
Láti ibi ìbàdí ènìyàn náà dé òkè, o dàbí irin tí ń kọ yànrànyànràn. O dàbí pe kìkì iná ni, láti ibi ìbàdí rẹ dé ìsàlẹ̀ dàbí iná tó mọ́lẹ̀ yí i ká.
28 The appearance of the brilliant light all around Him was like that of a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell facedown and heard a voice speaking.
Ìmọ́lẹ̀ tó yí i ká yìí dàbí ìrísí òṣùmàrè tó yọ nínú àwọsánmọ̀ ní ọjọ́ òjò, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ìmọ́lẹ̀ tò yí i ká. Báyìí ni ìrísí ògo Olúwa. Nígbà tí mo rí i, mo dojúbolẹ̀, mo sì gbọ́ ohùn ẹnìkan tó ń sọ̀rọ̀.
