Ezekiel 9
1 Then I heard Him call out in a loud voice, saying, “Draw near, O executioners of the city, each with a weapon of destruction in hand.”
১প্রতিমা পূজারী তখন সদাপ্রভু আমার কানের কাছে উচ্চ-স্বরে প্রচার করে বললেন, “রক্ষীরা শহর থেকে উঠে এস, প্রত্যেকে নিজেদের ধ্বংসের অস্ত্র হাতে নিয়ে এস।”
2 And I saw six men coming from the direction of the Upper Gate, which faces north, each with a weapon of slaughter in his hand. With them was another man clothed in linen who had a writing kit at his side. And they came in and stood beside the bronze altar.
২আর দেখ, উত্তরদিকে অবস্থিত উচ্চতর দরজা থেকে ছয়জন পুরুষ আসল, তাদের প্রত্যেক জনের হাতে বধের অস্ত্র ছিল এবং তাদের মাঝখানে মসীনা-পোশাক পরা এক পুরুষ ছিল; এর কোমর লিপিকারের সরঞ্জাম ছিল; তারা ভিতরে এসে পিতলের যজ্ঞবেদির পাশে দাঁড়াল।
3 Then the glory of the God of Israel rose from above the cherubim, where it had been, and moved to the threshold of the temple. And He called to the man clothed in linen who had the writing kit at his side.
৩তখন ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বরের মহিমা যে করুবের ওপরে ছিল, তা থেকে উঠে গৃহের দোরগোড়ার কাছে গেল এবং তিনি ঐ মসীনা বস্ত্র পরা লোককে ডাকলেন, যার কোমরে লিপিকারের সরঞ্জাম ছিল।
4 “Go throughout the city of Jerusalem,” said the LORD, “and put a mark on the foreheads of the men sighing and groaning over all the abominations committed there.”
৪আর সদাপ্রভু তাকে বললেন, “তুমি শহরের মধ্যে দিয়ে, যিরূশালেমের মধ্যে দিয়ে যাও এবং তার মধ্যে করা সমস্ত জঘন্য কাজের বিষয়ে যে সব লোক দীর্ঘনিঃশ্বাস ত্যাগ করে ও কোঁকায়, তাদের প্রত্যেকের কপালে চিহ্ন দাও।”
5 And as I listened, He said to the others, “Follow him through the city and start killing; do not show pity or spare anyone!
৫পরে আমি শুনলাম, তিনি অন্যদেরকে এই আদেশ দিলেন, “শহরের মধ্যে দিয়ে তার পরে যাও এবং মেরে ফেল! তোমার চোখ দয়া না করুক এবং পরিত্যাগ কর না;
6 Slaughter the old men, the young men and maidens, the women and children; but do not go near anyone who has the mark. Now begin at My sanctuary.” So they began with the elders who were before the temple.
৬বয়ষ্ক মানুষ, যুবক, কুমারী, শিশু ও স্ত্রীলোকদেরকে সবাইকে মেরে ফেল, কিন্তু যাদের কপালে চিহ্নটি দেখা যায়, তাদের কারো কাছে যেও না; আর আমার পবিত্র জায়গা থেকে শুরু কর।” তাতে তারা গৃহের সামনে অবস্থিত প্রাচীনদের থেকে শুরু করল।
7 Then He told them, “Defile the temple and fill the courts with the slain. Go forth!” So they went out and began killing throughout the city.
৭তিনি তাদেরকে বললেন, “গৃহ অশুচি কর, উঠান সব মৃততে পরিপূর্ণ কর; বের হও।” তাতে তারা বাইরে গিয়ে যিরূশালেমমের শহরের মধ্যে আঘাত করতে লাগল।
8 While they were killing, I was left alone. And I fell facedown and cried out, “Oh, Lord GOD, when You pour out Your wrath on Jerusalem, will You destroy the entire remnant of Israel?”
৮তারা যখন আঘাত করছিল, আমি নিজেকে একাকী পেলাম এবং উপুড় হয়ে কাঁদলাম, আর বললাম, “আহা, প্রভু সদাপ্রভু! তুমি যিরূশালেমের ওপরে নিজের ক্রোধ ঢেলে দেবার দিনের কি ইস্রায়েলের সমস্ত বাকি অংশকে ধ্বংস করবে?”
9 He replied, “The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great. The land is full of bloodshed, and the city is full of perversity. For they say, ‘The LORD has forsaken the land; the LORD does not see.’
৯তখন তিনি আমাকে বললেন, “ইস্রায়েল ও যিহূদা কুলের অপরাধ অত্যাধিক বেশি এবং দেশ রক্তে পরিপূর্ণ ও শহর অত্যাচারে পরিপূর্ণ; কারণ তারা বলে, ‘সদাপ্রভু দেশ ত্যাগ করেছেন এবং সদাপ্রভু দেখতে পান না!’
10 But as for Me, I will not look on them with pity, nor will I spare them. I will bring their deeds down upon their own heads.”
১০আমার চোখ দয়ার সঙ্গে দেখবে না এবং আমি তাদের পরিত্যাগ করব না। আমি এসব তাদের মাথার ওপরে আনব।”
11 Then the man clothed in linen with the writing kit at his side reported back, “I have done as You commanded.”
১১আর দেখ, মসীনা-বস্ত্র পরা পুরুষ, যার কোমরে লিপিকারের সরঞ্জাম ছিল, সে সংবাদ দিল, “আপনি যেমন আমাকে আদেশ দিয়েছিলেন আমি তেমন করেছি।”
