< Ezekiel 8 >

1 In the sixth year, on the fifth day of the sixth month, I was sitting in my house, and the elders of Judah were sitting before me; and there the hand of the Lord GOD fell upon me.
Afe a ɛto so asia mu, asram asia no da a ɛto so anum a na mete me fi, na Yuda mpanyimfo tete mʼanim no, Otumfo Awurade nsa baa me so wɔ hɔ.
2 Then I looked and saw a figure like that of a man. From His waist down His appearance was like fire, and from His waist up He was as bright as the gleam of amber.
Mehwɛe, na mihuu abɔsu bi a ɛte sɛ onipa. Efi baabi a ayɛ sɛ nʼasen mu rekɔ ne fam no, na ɔte sɛ ogya, na efi hɔ rekɔ ne soro no na ne tebea hyerɛn sɛ dade a adɔ.
3 He stretched out what looked like a hand and took me by the hair of my head. Then the Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven and carried me in visions of God to Jerusalem, to the entrance of the north gate of the inner court, where the idol that provokes jealousy was seated.
Ɔteɛɛ biribi te sɛ nsa de soo me tinwi mu faa me. Afei honhom no pagyaw me de me kɔɔ wim na ɛde me wuraa Onyankopɔn anisoadehu mu kɔɔ Yerusalem kogyinaa mfimfini adiwo no atifi pon ano, faako a ohoni a ɛyɛ ninkutwe farebae no si.
4 And there I saw the glory of the God of Israel, like the vision I had seen in the plain.
Na hɔ, wɔ mʼanim na na Israel Nyankopɔn anuonyam wɔ, te sɛ anisoadehu a minyaa no wɔ tataw no so no.
5 “Son of man,” He said to me, “now lift up your eyes to the north.” So I lifted up my eyes to the north, and in the entrance north of the Altar Gate I saw this idol of jealousy.
Afei ɔka kyerɛɛ me se, “Onipa ba, hwɛ atifi fam hɔ.” Na mehwɛe, na mihuu saa ninkutwe farebae honi yi wɔ ɔpon a ɛwɔ afɔremuka no atifi fam no mu.
6 “Son of man,” He said to me, “do you see what they are doing—the great abominations that the house of Israel is committing—to drive Me far from My sanctuary? Yet you will see even greater abominations.”
Ɔka kyerɛɛ me se, “Onipa ba, wuhu nea wɔreyɛ yi, akyiwade a ɛmfra, a Israelfi reyɛ wɔ ha yi, nneɛma a ɛbɛpam me afi me kronkronbea akɔ akyirikyiri yi? Nanso wubehu nneɛma a ɛsen akyiwade yi koraa.”
7 Then He brought me to the entrance to the court, and I looked and saw a hole in the wall.
Afei ɔde me baa adiwo hɔ pon no ano. Mehwɛe, na mihuu tokuru wɔ ɔfasu no mu.
8 “Son of man,” He told me, “dig through the wall.” So I dug through the wall and discovered a doorway.
Ɔka kyerɛɛ me se, “Onipa ba, tu ɔfasu no mu tokuru.” Enti mituu ɔfasu no mu tokuru, na mihuu ɔpon ano kwan bi wɔ hɔ.
9 Then He said to me, “Go in and see the wicked abominations they are committing here.”
Ɔka kyerɛɛ me se, “Kɔ mu na kɔhwɛ atirimɔdensɛm ne akyiwade a wɔreyɛ wɔ ha.”
10 So I went in and looked, and engraved all around the wall was every kind of crawling creature and detestable beast, along with all the idols of the house of Israel.
Enti mekɔɔ mu kɔhwɛe, na mihuu afasu a wɔayɛ mmoa a wɔwea ahorow nyinaa ne mmoa a wɔyɛ akyiwade ne Israelfi ahoni ahorow nyinaa mfoni wɔ ho nyinaa.
11 Before them stood seventy elders of the house of Israel, with Jaazaniah son of Shaphan standing among them. Each had a censer in his hand, and a fragrant cloud of incense was rising.
Wɔn anim na na Israelfo mpanyimfo aduɔson gyinagyina a na Safan babarima Yaasania gyina wɔn mu. Na wɔn mu biara kura nkankyee ntrantraa a aduhuam wusiw huamhuam fi so rekɔ soro.
12 “Son of man,” He said to me, “do you see what the elders of the house of Israel are doing in the darkness, each at the shrine of his own idol? For they are saying, ‘The LORD does not see us; the LORD has forsaken the land.’”
Obisaa me se, “Onipa ba woahu nea Israelfo mpanyimfo no mu biara reyɛ wɔ nʼankasa honi abosonnan mu wɔ sum mu ana? Wɔka se, ‘Awurade nhu yɛn; Awurade agyaw asase no!’”
13 Again, He told me, “You will see them committing even greater abominations.”
Ɔkaa bio se, “Wubehu sɛ wɔreyɛ nneɛma a ɛyɛ akyiwade a mpo ɛsen eyi.”
14 Then He brought me to the entrance of the north gate of the house of the LORD, and I saw women sitting there, weeping for Tammuz.
Afei ɔde me baa Awurade fi no atifi pon no kwan ano, na mihuu mmea a wɔtete hɔ resu Tamus.
15 “Son of man,” He said to me, “do you see this? Yet you will see even greater abominations than these.”
Obisaa me se, “Onipa ba wuhu eyi? Wubehu nneɛma a ɛyɛ akyiwade a ɛsen eyi.”
16 So He brought me to the inner court of the house of the LORD, and there at the entrance to the temple of the LORD, between the portico and the altar, were about twenty-five men with their backs to the temple of the LORD and their faces toward the east; and they were bowing to the east in worship of the sun.
Afei ɔde me baa Awurade fi adiwo a ɛwɔ mfimfini no, na hɔ, hyiadan no ano kwan, wɔ abrannaa ne afɔremuka no ntam, na hɔ na mmarima bɛyɛ aduonu anum wɔ. Wɔn akyi kyerɛ Awurade asɔredan na wɔn anim kyerɛ apuei fam, na wɔrekotow som owia a ɛwɔ apuei fam.
17 “Son of man,” He said to me, “do you see this? Is it not enough for the house of Judah to commit the abominations they are practicing here, that they must also fill the land with violence and continually provoke Me to anger? Look, they are even putting the branch to their nose!
Obisaa me se, “Woahu eyi, onipa ba? Akyiwade a Yudafi reyɛ wɔ ha yi yɛ adewa ana? So ɛsɛ sɛ wɔde akakabensɛm hyɛ asase no so ma na wɔkɔ so hyɛ me abufuw ana? Hwɛ wɔabu me animtiaa agu mʼanim ase!
18 Therefore I will respond with wrath. I will not look on them with pity, nor will I spare them. Although they shout loudly in My ears, I will not listen to them.”
Ɛno nti, me ne wɔn bedi no abufuw so. Merenhu wɔn mmɔbɔ na meremfa wɔn ho nkyɛ wɔn. Ɛwɔ mu sɛ, wɔteɛ mu tuatua mʼaso de, nanso merentie wɔn.”
