< Ezekiel 33 >

1 Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
Kalpasanna, dimteng kaniak ti sao ni Yahweh a kunana,
2 “Son of man, speak to your people and tell them: ‘Suppose I bring the sword against a land, and the people of that land choose a man from among them, appointing him as their watchman,
“Anak ti tao, ipakaammom daytoy kadagiti tattaom; ibagam kadakuada, 'Inton mangiyegak iti kampilan a maibusor iti aniaman a daga, ket mangdutok dagiti tattao iti dayta a daga iti maysa a tao manipud kadakuada nga agbalin a para-wanawanda.
3 and he sees the sword coming against that land and blows the ram’s horn to warn the people.
Siputanna ti kampilan nga um-umay iti daga ket puyotanna ti tangguyobna tapno ballaaganna dagiti tattao!
4 Then if anyone hears the sound of the horn but fails to heed the warning, and the sword comes and takes him away, his blood will be on his own head.
No mangngeg dagiti tattao ti uni ti tangguyob ket saanda nga ipangag, ken no umay ti kampilan ket patayenna ida, ti dara ti tunggal maysa ket adda iti bukodda nga ulo.
5 Since he heard the sound of the horn but failed to heed the warning, his blood will be on his own head. If he had heeded the warning, he would have saved his life.
Ket no adda makangngeg iti uni ti tangguyob ket saanna nga ipangag, ti darana ket adda kenkuana; ngem no ipangagna, maisalakannanto ti bukodna a biag.
6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and fails to blow the horn to warn the people, and the sword comes and takes away a life, then that one will be taken away in his iniquity, but I will hold the watchman accountable for his blood.’
Nupay kasta, no makita ti para-wanawan ti kampilan nga um-umay, ngem no saanna a pinuyutan ti tangguyob, a ti nagbanaganna ket saan a naballaagan dagiti tattao, ket no umay ti kampilan ket patayenna ti siasinoman, napapatay dayta a tao iti bukodna a basol ngem sapulekto ti darana iti para-wanawan.'
7 As for you, O son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; so hear the word from My mouth and give them the warning from Me.
Ita, sika a mismo, anak ti tao! Pinagbalinka a para-wanawan para iti balay ti Israel; mangngegmonto dagiti sasaok manipud iti ngiwatko ket ballaagamto ida para kaniak.
8 If I say to the wicked, ‘O wicked man, you will surely die,’ but you do not speak out to dissuade him from his way, then that wicked man will die in his iniquity, yet I will hold you accountable for his blood.
No ibagak iti maysa a nadangkes a tao, 'Nadangkes a tao, sigurado a matayka!' ngem no saanmo nga iwaragawag daytoy tapno maballaagan ti nadangkes maipapan iti aramidna, ket matayto dayta a nadangkes iti basolna, ngem sapulekto kadagiti imam ti darana!
9 But if you warn the wicked man to turn from his way, and he does not turn from it, he will die in his iniquity, but you will have saved your life.
Ngem sika, no ballaagam ti nadangkes maipapan iti aramidna, tapno matallikodanna daytoy, ket no saan isuna a timmallikod manipud iti aramidna, matayto isuna iti basolna, ngem sika a mismo ket maisalakanmonto ti bukodmo a biag.
10 Now as for you, son of man, tell the house of Israel that this is what they have said: ‘Our transgressions and our sins are heavy upon us, and we are wasting away because of them! How can we live?’
Isu a sika, anak ti tao, ibagam iti balay ti Israel, 'Kastoy ti ibagbagayo: Adda kadakami dagiti panagsalungasingmi ken basolmi, ket madaddadaelkamin kadagitoy! Kasano nga agbiagkami?
11 Say to them: ‘As surely as I live, declares the Lord GOD, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked should turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?’
Ibagam kadakuada, 'Iti naganko nga adda iti agnanayon—kastoy ti pakaammo ti Apo a ni Yahweh—saanko a pakaragsakan ti ipapatay ti nadangkes a tao, ngem no agbabawi ti nadangkes a tao manipud iti aramidna, agbiagto ngarud isuna! Agbabawikayo! Agbabawikayo manipud kadagiti nadangkes a aramidyo! Ta apay koma a mataykayo, balay ti Israel?'
12 Therefore, son of man, say to your people: ‘The righteousness of the righteous man will not deliver him in the day of his transgression; neither will the wickedness of the wicked man cause him to stumble on the day he turns from his wickedness. Nor will the righteous man be able to survive by his righteousness on the day he sins.’
Ket sika, anak ti tao, ibagam kadagiti tattaom, 'Ti kinalinteg ti maysa a nalinteg a tao ket saanto a makaisalakan kenkuana no agbasol! Ken ti kinadangkes ti maysa a nadangkes a tao ket saanto a daytoy ti gapu a mapukaw isuna no agbabawi manipud iti basolna. Ta saanto nga agbiag ti nalinteg a tao gapu iti kinalintegna no agbasol isuna.
13 If I tell the righteous man that he will surely live, but he then trusts in his righteousness and commits iniquity, then none of his righteous works will be remembered; he will die because of the iniquity he has committed.
No ibagak iti maysa a nalinteg, “Sigurado nga agbiagto isuna!” ket no agtalek isuna iti bukodna a kinalinteg ket kalpasanna, agaramid iti saan a nainkalintegan, saankonto a lagipen ti aniaman a kinalintegna; matayto isuna iti kinadangkes nga inaramidna.
14 But if I tell the wicked man, ‘You will surely die,’ and he turns from his sin and does what is just and right—
Ket no ibagak iti nadangkes, “Sigurado a matayka!” ngem no agbabawi isuna kadagiti basolna ket aramidenna ti nainkalintegan ken umno—
15 if he restores a pledge, makes restitution for what he has stolen, and walks in the statutes of life without practicing iniquity—then he will surely live; he will not die.
no isublina ti naisalda kenkuana a kiniddawna a sidadangkes, wenno isublina ti tinakawna, ket no surotenna dagiti bilbilin a mangipaay iti biag ket saanen nga agramid iti basol— sigurado nga agbiagto ngarud isuna; saanto isuna a matay.
16 None of the sins he has committed will be held against him. He has done what is just and right; he will surely live.
Awanto a pulos ti malagip kadagiti basol nga inaramidna, nagtignay isuna a sililinteg; sigurado nga agbiagto isuna!
17 Yet your people say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ But it is their way that is not just.
Ngem kinuna dagiti tattaom, '“Saan a nalinteg ti wagas ti Apo!” ngem dagiti wagasyo ti saan a nalinteg!
18 If a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, he will die for it.
No tallikodan ti maysa a nalinteg a tao ti kinalintegna ket agaramid iti basol, daytoyto ngarud ti pakatayanna!
19 But if a wicked man turns from his wickedness and does what is just and right, he will live because of this.
Ket no tallikodan ti maysa a nadangkes a tao ti kinadangkesna ket aramidenna ti nainkalintegan ken rumbeng, agbiagto isuna gapu kadagidiay a banbanag!
20 Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ But I will judge each of you according to his ways, O house of Israel.”
Ngem kinunayo dakayo a tattao, “Saan a nalinteg ti wagas ti Apo!” Ukomekto ti tunggal maysa kadakayo segun iti wagasna, balay ti Israel!'”
21 In the twelfth year of our exile, on the fifth day of the tenth month, a fugitive from Jerusalem came to me and reported, “The city has been taken!”
Napasamak daytoy iti maikasangapulo ket dua a tawen, iti maikalima nga aldaw ti maikasangapulo a bulan ti pannakaibaludtayo, nga adda immay kaniak a maysa a nakalibas manipud Jerusalem ket kinunana,
22 Now the evening before the fugitive arrived, the hand of the LORD was upon me, and He opened my mouth before the man came to me in the morning. So my mouth was opened and I was no longer mute.
“Nasakupen ti siudad!” Adda kaniak ti ima ni Yahweh iti rabii sakbay a dimteng ti nakalibas, ket naglukat ti ngiwatko idi dimteng isuna iti parbangon. Isu a nalukatan ti ngiwatko; saanakon nga umel!
23 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
Ket dimteng kaniak ti sao ni Yahweh a kunana,
24 “Son of man, those living in the ruins in the land of Israel are saying, ‘Abraham was only one man, yet he possessed the land. But we are many; surely the land has been given to us as a possession.’
“Anak ti tao, ibagbaga dagiti agnanaed kadagidiay a nadadael iti daga ti Israel, 'Maymaysa laeng a tao ni Abraham ket tinawidna ti daga, ngem adutayo! Naited kadatayo ti daga a kas sanikua.'
25 Therefore tell them that this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘You eat meat with the blood in it, lift up your eyes to your idols, and shed blood. Should you then possess the land?
Ngarud ibagam kadakuada, 'Kastoy ti ibagbaga ti Apo a Yahweh: Mangmangankayo iti dara ken tumangtangadkayo kadagiti didiosenyo, ket iparparukpokyo ti dara dagiti tattao. Rumbeng kadi a tagikuaenyo ti daga?
26 You have relied on your swords, you have committed detestable acts, and each of you has defiled his neighbor’s wife. Should you then possess the land?’
Nagtalekkayo kadagiti kampilanyo ken nangaramidkayo kadagiti makarimon a banbanag; daddadaelen ti tunggal lalaki ti dayaw ti asawa ti kaarrubana. Rumbeng kadi a tagikuaenyo ti daga?'
27 Tell them that this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘As surely as I live, those in the ruins will fall by the sword, those in the open field I will give to be devoured by wild animals, and those in the strongholds and caves will die by plague.
Kastoyto ti ibagam kadakuada, 'Kastoy ti kuna ti Apo a Yahweh: Iti naganko nga adda iti agnanayon, sigurado a mapasagto dagiti adda kadagiti nadadael babaen iti kampilan, ket itedkonto dagiti adda kadagiti taltalon kadagiti sibibiag a parsua a kas taraonda, ket matayto babaen kadagiti didigra dagiti adda kadagiti nasarikedkedan ken kueba.
28 I will make the land a desolate waste, and the pride of her strength will come to an end. The mountains of Israel will become desolate, so that no one will pass through.
Ket pagbalinekto a langalang ken nakabutbuteng ti daga, ket agpatingganto ti kinapalangguad ti bileg daytoy, ta mabaybay-anto dagiti bantay ti Israel ken awanto ti lumabas kadagitoy.'
29 Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I have made the land a desolate waste because of all the abominations they have committed.’
Isu a maammoandanto a siak ni Yahweh, inton pagbalinek a langalang ken nakabutbuteng ti daga gapu kadagiti amin a makarimon a banbanag nga inaramidda.
30 As for you, son of man, your people are talking about you near the city walls and in the doorways of their houses. One speaks to another, each saying to his brother, ‘Come and hear the message that has come from the LORD!’
Ket sika, anak ti tao— adda ibagbaga dagiti tattaom maipapan kenka iti abay dagiti pader ken kadagiti ruangan dagiti balbalay, ket ibagbaga ti tunggal maysa kadagiti dadduma— tunggal maysa iti kabsatna a lalaki, 'Mapantayo dumngeg iti sao ti profeta a nagtaud kenni Yahweh!'
31 So My people come to you as usual, sit before you, and hear your words; but they do not put them into practice. Although they express love with their mouths, their hearts pursue dishonest gain.
Isu a mapanto kenka dagiti tattaok, kas iti masansan nga ar-aramidenda, ket agtugawdanto iti sangoanam ket dumngegda kadagiti sasaom, ngem saandanto a tungpalen dagitoy. Adda kadagiti ngiwatda dagiti umno a sasao, ngem dagiti pusoda ket adda kadagiti saan a nainkalintegan a pakagunggonaanda.
32 Indeed, you are to them like a singer of love songs with a beautiful voice, who skillfully plays an instrument. They hear your words but do not put them into practice.
Ta kaslaka makay-ayo a kanta kadakuada, maysa a napintas a samiweng a natukaran a nasayaat iti adda kuerdasna nga instrumento, isu a dumngegdanto kadagiti sasaom ngem awanto a pulos kadakuada ti agtulnog kadagitoy.
33 So when it comes to pass—and surely it will come—then they will know that a prophet has been among them.”
Isu nga inton mapasamak amin dagitoy— kitaem! mapasamakto daytoy! — ket maammoandanto a kaduada idi ti profeta.”
