< Ezekiel 3 >
1 “Son of man,” He said to me, “eat what you find here. Eat this scroll, then go and speak to the house of Israel.”
Síwájú sí i, ó sọ fún mi pé, “Ọmọ ènìyàn, jẹ ohun tí ó wà níwájú rẹ, jẹ ìwé kíká yìí; kí o sì lọ fi bá ilé Israẹli sọ̀rọ̀.”
2 So I opened my mouth, and He fed me the scroll.
Mo sì ya ẹnu mi, ó sì mú mi jẹ ìwé kíká náà.
3 “Son of man,” He said to me, “eat and fill your stomach with this scroll I am giving you.” So I ate, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth.
Ó tún sọ fún mi pé, “Ọmọ ènìyàn, jẹ ìwé kíká tí mo fún ọ yìí, fi bọ́ inú àti ikùn rẹ.” Nígbà náà ni mo jẹ ẹ́, dídùn rẹ̀ dàbí oyin ní ẹnu mi.
4 Then He said to me, “Son of man, go now to the house of Israel and speak My words to them.
Ó sì tún sọ fún mi pé, “Ọmọ ènìyàn, lọ ni ìsinsin yìí bá mi sọ ọ̀rọ̀ mi fún ilé Israẹli.
5 For you are not being sent to a people of unfamiliar speech or difficult language, but to the house of Israel—

7 But the house of Israel will be unwilling to listen to you, since they are unwilling to listen to Me. For the whole house of Israel is hard-headed and hard-hearted.
Ṣùgbọ́n ilé Israẹli kò fẹ́ gbọ́ tìrẹ nítorí pé wọn kò fẹ́ láti gbọ́ tèmi, torí pé aláìgbọ́ràn àti ọlọ́kàn líle ni gbogbo ilé Israẹli.

10 “Son of man,” He added, “listen carefully to all the words I speak to you, and take them to heart.
Ó sì sọ fún mi pé, “Ọmọ ènìyàn, gbọ́ gbogbo ọ̀rọ̀ tí mo ń sọ, kí o sì gba gbogbo ọ̀rọ̀ yìí sí ọkàn rẹ.
11 Go to your people, the exiles; speak to them and tell them, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says,’ whether they listen or refuse to listen.”
Lọ nísinsin yìí sí ọ̀dọ̀ àwọn ènìyàn rẹ tó wà ní ìgbèkùn. Sọ fún wọn pé báyìí ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí yálà wọ́n gbọ́ tàbí wọn kò gbọ́.”
12 Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard a great rumbling sound behind me: ‘Blessed be the glory of the LORD in His dwelling place!’
Nígbà náà ni ẹ̀mí gbé mi sókè, mo sì gbọ́ ohùn ìró ńlá lẹ́yìn mi tó sọ pé, kí a gbé ògo Olúwa ga láti ibùgbé rẹ̀ wá!
13 It was the sound of the wings of the living creatures brushing against one another and the sound of the wheels beside them, a great rumbling sound.
Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni mo tún gbọ́ ariwo ìyẹ́ apá àti kẹ̀kẹ́ àwọn ẹ̀dá alààyè náà pẹ̀lú ariwo tó dàbí àrá ńlá.
14 So the Spirit lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness and in the anger of my spirit, with the strong hand of the LORD upon me.
Ẹ̀mí náà sì gbé mi sókè, ó sì mú mi lọ, mo lọ pẹ̀lú ọkàn kíkorò àti ìbínú nínú ẹ̀mí mi, pẹ̀lú ọwọ́ líle Olúwa ni ara mi.
15 I came to the exiles at Tel-abib who dwelt by the River Kebar. And for seven days I sat where they sat and remained there among them, overwhelmed.
16 At the end of seven days the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
Lẹ́yìn ọjọ́ méje, ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa tọ̀ mí wá wí pé,
17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from My mouth, give them a warning from Me.
“Ọmọ ènìyàn, mo ti fi ọ́ ṣe olùṣọ́ fún ilé Israẹli; nítorí náà gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ tí mo ń sọ, fún wọn ní ìkìlọ̀ láti ọ̀dọ̀ mi.
18 If I say to the wicked man, ‘You will surely die,’ but you do not warn him or speak out to warn him from his wicked way to save his life, that wicked man will die in his iniquity, and I will hold you responsible for his blood.
Bí mo bá sọ fún ènìyàn búburú pé, dájúdájú, ‘Ìwọ yóò kú,’ tí ìwọ kò sì kìlọ̀ fún ènìyàn búburú yìí láti dáwọ́ ìwà ibi rẹ̀ dúró, kí o sì gba ẹ̀mí rẹ̀ là, ènìyàn búburú náà yóò kú nínú ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ rẹ̀, ṣùgbọ́n ní ọwọ́ rẹ ni èmi yóò ti béèrè ẹ̀jẹ̀ rẹ̀.
19 But if you warn a wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness and his wicked way, he will die in his iniquity, but you will have saved yourself.
Ṣùgbọ́n bí o bá kìlọ̀ fún ènìyàn búburú, tí ó kọ̀ tí kò fi ìwà búburú rẹ̀ sílẹ̀, yóò kú sínú ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ rẹ̀; ṣùgbọ́n ọrùn tìrẹ ti mọ́.
20 Now if a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I put a stumbling block before him, he will die. If you did not warn him, he will die in his sin, and the righteous acts he did will not be remembered. And I will hold you responsible for his blood.
“Bákan náà, bí olódodo kan bá yípadà, tó sì bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí í ṣe àìṣòdodo, tí mo sì fi ohun ìkọ̀sẹ̀ sí ọ̀nà rẹ̀, yóò kú sínú ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ rẹ̀. Nítorí pé ìwọ kọ̀ láti kìlọ̀ fún un, yóò kú sínú ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ rẹ̀, a ó gbàgbé gbogbo ìwà rere tó ti hù tẹ́lẹ̀, ṣùgbọ́n ní ọwọ́ rẹ̀ ni èmi yóò ti béèrè ẹ̀jẹ̀ rẹ̀.
21 But if you warn the righteous man not to sin, and he does not sin, he will indeed live because he heeded your warning, and you will have saved yourself.”
Ṣùgbọ́n bí o bá kìlọ̀ fún olódodo tó sì dáwọ́ ìwà ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ rẹ̀ dúró, dájúdájú òun yóò yè nítorí pé ó ti gba ìkìlọ̀, ọrùn tìrẹ sì mọ́.”
22 And there the hand of the LORD was upon me, and He said to me, “Get up, go out to the plain, and there I will speak with you.”
Ọwọ́ Olúwa wà lára mi níbẹ̀, ó sì wí fún mi pé, “Dìde, lọ sí ibi tí ó tẹ́jú, èmi yóò sì bá ọ sọ̀rọ̀ níbẹ̀.”
23 So I got up and went out to the plain, and behold, the glory of the LORD was present there, like the glory I had seen by the River Kebar, and I fell facedown.
Mo sì dìde, mo lọ sí ibi tí ó tẹ́jú. Ògo Olúwa dúró níbẹ̀, ó dàbí irú ògo tí mo rí létí odò Kebari, mo sì dojúbolẹ̀.
24 Then the Spirit entered me and set me on my feet. He spoke with me and said, “Go, shut yourself inside your house.
Nígbà náà ni Ẹ̀mí wọ inú mi, tí ó sì tún gbé mi dúró. Ó sì wí fún mi pé, “Lọ, ti ara rẹ mọ́ inú ilé rẹ
25 And you, son of man, they will tie with ropes, and you will be bound so that you cannot go out among the people.

27 But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you are to tell them, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says.’ Whoever listens, let him listen; and whoever refuses, let him refuse, for they are a rebellious house.
Ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí èmi bá bá ọ sọ̀rọ̀, Èmi yóò ṣí ọ lẹ́nu, ìwọ yóò sì sọ fún wọn pé, ‘Èyí ni ohun tí Olúwa Olódùmarè wí.’ Ẹni tó bá fẹ́ kí ó gbọ́, ẹni tó bá fẹ́ kọ̀, kó kọ̀ nítorí ọlọ̀tẹ̀ ilé ni wọ́n.
