Ezekiel 3
1 “Son of man,” He said to me, “eat what you find here. Eat this scroll, then go and speak to the house of Israel.”
Depois me disse: Filho do homem, come o que achares; come este rolo, vai, e fala à casa de Israel.
2 So I opened my mouth, and He fed me the scroll.
Então abri minha boca, e me fez comer aquele rolo.
3 “Son of man,” He said to me, “eat and fill your stomach with this scroll I am giving you.” So I ate, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth.
E disse-me: Filho do homem, faze com que teu ventre coma, e enche tuas entranhas deste rolo que eu te dou. Então o comi, e foi em minha boca doce como o mel.
4 Then He said to me, “Son of man, go now to the house of Israel and speak My words to them.
E disse-me: Filho do homem, vai, entra na casa de Israel, e fala-lhes com minhas palavras.
5 For you are not being sent to a people of unfamiliar speech or difficult language, but to the house of Israel—
Pois tu não és enviado a um povo de fala estranha nem de língua difícil, mas sim à casa de Israel.
6 not to the many peoples of unfamiliar speech and difficult language whose words you cannot understand. Surely if I had sent you to them, they would have listened to you.
Nem a muitos povos de fala estranha nem de língua difícil, cujas palavras não podes entender; se eu a eles te enviasse, eles te dariam ouvidos.
7 But the house of Israel will be unwilling to listen to you, since they are unwilling to listen to Me. For the whole house of Israel is hard-headed and hard-hearted.
Porém a casa de Israel não quererá te ouvir, pois não querem ouvir a mim; pois toda a casa de Israel é obstinada de testa e dura de coração.
8 Behold, I will make your face as hard as their faces, and your forehead as hard as their foreheads.
Eis que eu fiz teu rosto forte contra os rostos deles, e tua testa forte contra a testa deles.
9 I will make your forehead like a diamond, harder than flint. Do not be afraid of them or dismayed at their presence, even though they are a rebellious house.”
Fiz tua testa como o diamante, mais forte que a pederneira; não os temas, nem te espantes da presença deles, ainda que sejam uma casa rebelde.
10 “Son of man,” He added, “listen carefully to all the words I speak to you, and take them to heart.
Disse-me mais: Filho do homem, toma em teu coração todas a minhas palavras que te falarei, e ouve com os teus ouvidos.
11 Go to your people, the exiles; speak to them and tell them, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says,’ whether they listen or refuse to listen.”
Então vai, e chega aos do cativos, aos filhos de teu povo, e tu lhes falarás e lhes dirás: Assim diz o Senhor DEUS; quer ouçam, quer deixem de ouvir.
12 Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard a great rumbling sound behind me: ‘Blessed be the glory of the LORD in His dwelling place!’
Então o Espírito me levantou, e ouvi detrás de mim uma voz de grande estrondo, [que dizia]: Bendita seja a glória do SENHOR desde o seu lugar.
13 It was the sound of the wings of the living creatures brushing against one another and the sound of the wheels beside them, a great rumbling sound.
[Ouvi] também o som das asas dos animais, que tocavam umas às outras, e o som das rodas em frente deles, e som de grande estrondo.
14 So the Spirit lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness and in the anger of my spirit, with the strong hand of the LORD upon me.
Assim o Espírito me levantou, e me tomou; e fui com amargura, pela indignação de meu espírito; mas a mão do SENHOR era forte sobre mim.
15 I came to the exiles at Tel-abib who dwelt by the River Kebar. And for seven days I sat where they sat and remained there among them, overwhelmed.
E vim aos do cativeiro, a Tel-Abibe, que moravam junto ao rio de Quebar, e eu morava onde eles moravam; e ali permaneci sete dias atônito entre eles.
16 At the end of seven days the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
E aconteceu que, ao fim de sete dias, veio a mim a palavra do SENHOR, dizendo:
17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from My mouth, give them a warning from Me.
Filho do homem, eu te pus por vigia sobre a casa de Israel; portanto tu ouvirás a palavra de minha boca, e os alertarás de minha parte.
18 If I say to the wicked man, ‘You will surely die,’ but you do not warn him or speak out to warn him from his wicked way to save his life, that wicked man will die in his iniquity, and I will hold you responsible for his blood.
Quando eu disser ao perverso: ‘Certamente morrerás’, e tu não o alertares, nem falares para alertar ao perverso acerca do seu caminho perverso, a fim de o conservar em vida, aquele perverso morrerá na sua maldade, porém demandarei o sangue dele da tua mão.
19 But if you warn a wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness and his wicked way, he will die in his iniquity, but you will have saved yourself.
Mas se tu alertares ao perverso, e ele não se converter de sua perversidade, e de seu perverso caminho, ele morrerá por sua maldade, e tu terás livrado tua alma.
20 Now if a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I put a stumbling block before him, he will die. If you did not warn him, he will die in his sin, and the righteous acts he did will not be remembered. And I will hold you responsible for his blood.
Semelhantemente, quando o justo se desviar de sua justiça, e fizer maldade, e eu puser [algum] tropeço diante dele, ele morrerá, porque tu não o alertaste; por seu pecado morrerá, e suas justiças que havia feito não serão lembradas; mas demandarei o sangue dele da tua mão.
21 But if you warn the righteous man not to sin, and he does not sin, he will indeed live because he heeded your warning, and you will have saved yourself.”
Porém se tu alertares ao justo, para que o justo não peque, e ele não pecar, certamente viverá, porque foi alertado; e tu terás livrado tua alma.
22 And there the hand of the LORD was upon me, and He said to me, “Get up, go out to the plain, and there I will speak with you.”
E a mão do SENHOR estava ali sobre mim; e disse-me: Levanta-te, e sai ao vale; e ali falarei contigo.
23 So I got up and went out to the plain, and behold, the glory of the LORD was present there, like the glory I had seen by the River Kebar, and I fell facedown.
Então eu me levantei, e saí ao vale; e eis que a glória do SENHOR estava ali, como a glória que vi junto ao rio de Quebar; e caí sobre meu rosto.
24 Then the Spirit entered me and set me on my feet. He spoke with me and said, “Go, shut yourself inside your house.
Então o Espírito entrou em mim, e fez-me ficar de pé; e falou comigo, e disse-me: Entra, e fecha-te dentro de tua casa.
25 And you, son of man, they will tie with ropes, and you will be bound so that you cannot go out among the people.
Pois tu, ó filho do homem, eis que porão cordas sobre ti, e com elas te amarrarão, por isso não sairás entre eles.
26 I will make your tongue stick to the roof of your mouth, and you will be silent and unable to rebuke them, though they are a rebellious house.
E farei com que tua língua se apegue ao teu céu da boca, e ficarás mudo, e não lhes servirás de repreensor; pois são uma casa rebelde
27 But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you are to tell them, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says.’ Whoever listens, let him listen; and whoever refuses, let him refuse, for they are a rebellious house.
Mas quando eu falar contigo, abrirei a tua boca, e lhes dirás: Assim diz o Senhor DEUS; quem ouvir, ouça; e quem deixar [de ouvir], deixe; pois são uma casa rebelde.
