< Ezekiel 3 >

1 “Son of man,” He said to me, “eat what you find here. Eat this scroll, then go and speak to the house of Israel.”
Ọ sịrị m, “Nwa nke mmadụ, rie ihe a m gaje inye gị. Taa akwụkwọ a a fụkọrọ afụkọ; pụọ gaa gwa ụmụ Izrel okwu.”
2 So I opened my mouth, and He fed me the scroll.
Ya mere, a saghere m ọnụ m, o nyere m akwụkwọ ahụ a fụkọrọ afụkọ ka m rie.
3 “Son of man,” He said to me, “eat and fill your stomach with this scroll I am giving you.” So I ate, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth.
Ọ sịrị m, “Nwa nke mmadụ, taa akwụkwọ a niile m nyere gị, tajuo ya afọ gị.” Atara m ya. Ma mgbe m na-ata ya, ọ tọrọ m ụtọ nʼọnụ dịka a ga-asị na ọ bụ mmanụ aṅụ.
4 Then He said to me, “Son of man, go now to the house of Israel and speak My words to them.
Ọ sịrị m, “Nwa nke mmadụ, bilie jekwuru ụmụ Izrel gwa ha okwu m niile.
5 For you are not being sent to a people of unfamiliar speech or difficult language, but to the house of Israel—
Nʼihi na-ezighị m gị ka i jekwuru mba ndị okwu ha edoghị anya na ndị a naghị aghọta asụsụ ha, kama ọ bụ ijekwuru ụlọ Izrel.
6 not to the many peoples of unfamiliar speech and difficult language whose words you cannot understand. Surely if I had sent you to them, they would have listened to you.
Ezikwaghị m gị ka i jekwuru mba nwere asụsụ na-edoghị anya, nke ị na-adịghị aghọta okwu ha. Nʼihi na a sị na ọ bụ ndị dị otu a ka m zigara gị ka i jekwuru, ha gaara ege gị ntị.
7 But the house of Israel will be unwilling to listen to you, since they are unwilling to listen to Me. For the whole house of Israel is hard-headed and hard-hearted.
Ma ụlọ Izrel agaghị ekwe gee gị ntị, nʼihi na ha jụrụ ige m ntị. Nʼihi na ụlọ Izrel bụ ndị obi ha siri ike, na ndị isiike.
8 Behold, I will make your face as hard as their faces, and your forehead as hard as their foreheads.
Lee, emeela m ka ihu gị sie ike karịa nke ha, ka egedege ihu gị siekwa ike karịa nke ha.
9 I will make your forehead like a diamond, harder than flint. Do not be afraid of them or dismayed at their presence, even though they are a rebellious house.”
10 “Son of man,” He added, “listen carefully to all the words I speak to you, and take them to heart.
Ọ sịrị m, “Nwa nke mmadụ, gee ntị nke ọma nʼokwu ndị a niile m na-agwa gị, tinyekwa ha nʼuche gị.
11 Go to your people, the exiles; speak to them and tell them, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says,’ whether they listen or refuse to listen.”
12 Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard a great rumbling sound behind me: ‘Blessed be the glory of the LORD in His dwelling place!’
Mgbe ahụ, Mmụọ ahụ buliri m elu. Anụrụ m olu mere oke ụzụ nʼazụ m, mgbe ebube nke Onyenwe anyị sị nʼọnọdụ ya bilie.
13 It was the sound of the wings of the living creatures brushing against one another and the sound of the wheels beside them, a great rumbling sound.
Ọ bụ ụzụ nke nku ihe ndị ahụ dị ndụ na-eme mgbe ha na-emetụrịta nku ibe ha; ọ bụkwa ụzụ ụkwụ wịịlu ha nke dị nʼakụkụ ha.
14 So the Spirit lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness and in the anger of my spirit, with the strong hand of the LORD upon me.
Mmụọ ahụ buliri m, bupụ m. Ejegharịrị m nʼobi ilu na iwe nke mmụọ m, ebe aka Onyenwe anyị dịkwa ike nʼahụ m.
15 I came to the exiles at Tel-abib who dwelt by the River Kebar. And for seven days I sat where they sat and remained there among them, overwhelmed.
A bịakwutere m ndị ahụ a dọọrọ nʼagha, ha aga biri na Tel Abib nʼakụkụ osimiri Keba. Nʼebe ahụ, bụ ebe ha na-ebi, anọdụrụ m nʼetiti ha abalị asaa, nʼọnọdụ obi ilu na ọnụma.
16 At the end of seven days the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
Mgbe abalị asaa gasịrị, okwu Onyenwe anyị bịakwutere m,
17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from My mouth, give them a warning from Me.
“Nwa nke mmadụ, emeela m gị ka ị bụrụ onye nche nye ụlọ Izrel. Nʼihi ya, gee ntị nʼihe m na-ekwu, ka ị dọọrọ m ha aka na ntị.
18 If I say to the wicked man, ‘You will surely die,’ but you do not warn him or speak out to warn him from his wicked way to save his life, that wicked man will die in his iniquity, and I will hold you responsible for his blood.
Mgbe m na-asị onye ajọ omume, ‘Ị ghaghị ịnwụ,’ ma ọ bụrụ na ị dọghị ya aka na ntị, maọbụ ị kwughị okwu ime ka ha chigharịa site nʼụzọ ọjọọ ha niile pụta nʼihi ịzọpụta ndụ ha, onye ahụ na-emebi iwu ga-anwụ nʼihi mmehie ya niile, ma nʼaka gị ka m ga-ajụta ọbara ha.
19 But if you warn a wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness and his wicked way, he will die in his iniquity, but you will have saved yourself.
20 Now if a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I put a stumbling block before him, he will die. If you did not warn him, he will die in his sin, and the righteous acts he did will not be remembered. And I will hold you responsible for his blood.
“Ma ọ bụrụ na onye ezi omume esite nʼụzọ ezi omume ya wezuga onwe ya bido ime ihe ọjọọ, m siere ha ọnya, ha ga-anwụ nʼihi na ị dọghị ha aka na ntị, ha ga-anwụ nʼihi mmehie ha. Agaghịkwa echeta ihe ọma niile ndị ha mere, ma ị ga-aza ajụjụ maka ọnwụ ha.
21 But if you warn the righteous man not to sin, and he does not sin, he will indeed live because he heeded your warning, and you will have saved yourself.”
Ma ọ bụrụ na ị dọọ onye ezi omume aka na ntị ka ọ ghara ime mmehie, ha gharakwa ime mmehie, ha ga-adị ndụ nʼihi na ha nabatara ịdọ aka na ntị ahụ. Gị onwe gị azọpụtakwala ndụ gị, nʼụzọ dị otu a.”
22 And there the hand of the LORD was upon me, and He said to me, “Get up, go out to the plain, and there I will speak with you.”
Aka Onyenwe anyị dịgidesịrị ike nʼahụ m nʼebe ahụ. Ma ọ sịrị m, “Bilie gaa nʼebe ahụ obosara ala dị ka m gwa gị okwu nʼebe ahụ,”
23 So I got up and went out to the plain, and behold, the glory of the LORD was present there, like the glory I had seen by the River Kebar, and I fell facedown.
Ebiliri m gaa nʼebe ahụ ala dị larịị. Ebube Onyenwe anyị guzo nʼebe ahụ dịka ebube nke m hụrụ nʼakụkụ iyi Keba. Adara m kpuo ihu m nʼala.
24 Then the Spirit entered me and set me on my feet. He spoke with me and said, “Go, shut yourself inside your house.
Mgbe ahụ, Mmụọ ahụ banyere nʼime m mee ka m guzo ọtọ nʼụkwụ m abụọ. Ọ gwara m okwu sị m, “Gaa, baa nʼụlọ, mechibido onwe gị ụzọ.
25 And you, son of man, they will tie with ropes, and you will be bound so that you cannot go out among the people.
Ma gị, nwa nke mmadụ, a ga-eji ụdọ kee gị ka ị ghara inwe ike ịpụ gaa nʼetiti ndị mmadụ.
26 I will make your tongue stick to the roof of your mouth, and you will be silent and unable to rebuke them, though they are a rebellious house.
Aga m eme ka ire gị rapara nʼakpo ọnụ gị, ka ị ghọọ onye ogbi, gharakwa ịbụ onye na-adọ ha aka na ntị, nʼihi na ha bụ ndị na-enupu isi.
27 But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you are to tell them, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says.’ Whoever listens, let him listen; and whoever refuses, let him refuse, for they are a rebellious house.
Ma mgbe ọbụla m ziri gị ozi, aga m atọghepụ ire gị. Ị ga-asịkwa ha, ‘Otu a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị kwuru.’
