< Ezekiel 3 >
1 “Son of man,” He said to me, “eat what you find here. Eat this scroll, then go and speak to the house of Israel.”
Anih mah kai khaeah, Kami capa, na hnuk ih hmuen to caa ah; hae caqam tangoeng caak pacoengah, caeh ah loe Isarael imthung takoh khaeah thui paeh, tiah ang naa.
2 So I opened my mouth, and He fed me the scroll.
To pongah pakha ka angh, anih mah to caqam tangoeng to ang caksak.
3 “Son of man,” He said to me, “eat and fill your stomach with this scroll I am giving you.” So I ate, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth.
To pacoengah anih mah, Kami capa, kang paek ih caqam tangoeng to caa ah loe zok to koisak ah, tiah ang naa. To pongah ka caak, to naah ka pakha thungah khoitui baktiah luep.
4 Then He said to me, “Son of man, go now to the house of Israel and speak My words to them.
Anih mah kai khaeah, Kami capa, Israel imthung takoh khaeah caeh ah loe ka thuih ih loknawk hae nihcae khaeah taphong ah.
5 For you are not being sent to a people of unfamiliar speech or difficult language, but to the house of Israel—
Na panoek ai ih lok apae kami, karai parai lok apae kaminawk khaeah kang patoeh ai, Israel imthung takoh khaeah ni kang patoeh.
6 not to the many peoples of unfamiliar speech and difficult language whose words you cannot understand. Surely if I had sent you to them, they would have listened to you.
Na panoek ai ih lok, karai parai lok apae kaminawk khaeah kang patoeh ai. To baktih kaminawk khaeah kang patoeh nahaeloe, nihcae mah na lok tahngai o lat tih.
7 But the house of Israel will be unwilling to listen to you, since they are unwilling to listen to Me. For the whole house of Israel is hard-headed and hard-hearted.
Toe Israel imthung takoh loe ka lok tahngai o ai pongah, na lok doeh tahngai o mak ai; Israel imthung takoh loe palung len o moe, palungthah o boih.
8 Behold, I will make your face as hard as their faces, and your forehead as hard as their foreheads.
Khenah, nihcae ih mikhmai baktiah na mikhmai tha kang caksak moe, nihcae ih lupataeh baktiah na lupataeh doeh tha ka caksak boeh.
9 I will make your forehead like a diamond, harder than flint. Do not be afraid of them or dismayed at their presence, even though they are a rebellious house.”
Na lupataeh to kamtak koek thlung pong tamtak kue ah kang sak pae boeh; nihcae loe laisaep thaih kami ah om o cadoeh, zii hmah; nihcae mah doeh na pazih hmah nasoe, tiah ang naa.
10 “Son of man,” He added, “listen carefully to all the words I speak to you, and take them to heart.
To pacoengah kai khaeah, Kami capa, kang thuih ih loknawk boih kahoih ah tahngai ah loe, palung thungah pakuem ah.
11 Go to your people, the exiles; speak to them and tell them, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says,’ whether they listen or refuse to listen.”
Misong ah kaom na caengnawk khaeah caeh ah loe Angraeng Sithaw mah thuih, tiah taphong ah, tahngai o maw, tahngai o ai maw, nihcae khaeah lok to taphong ah, tiah ang naa.
12 Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard a great rumbling sound behind me: ‘Blessed be the glory of the LORD in His dwelling place!’
To pacoengah muithla mah kai ang tapom tahang, a ohhaih ahmuen hoiah Angraeng lensawkhaih tacawt naah, Tahamhoihaih om nasoe! tiah ka hnuk bangah kaom kalen parai lok to ka thaih.
13 It was the sound of the wings of the living creatures brushing against one another and the sound of the wheels beside them, a great rumbling sound.
Hinghaih katawn hmuennawk maeto hoi maeto mah boh ih pakhraeh tuennawk, nihcae taeng ih rel khok tuennawk hoi katuen parai atuennawk to ka thaih.
14 So the Spirit lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness and in the anger of my spirit, with the strong hand of the LORD upon me.
To naah muithla mah ang tapom tahang moe, kalah bangah ang caeh haih, kai loe mawnhaih, palungphuihaih hoiah ka bang; toe ka nuiah thacak Angraeng ih ban to oh.
15 I came to the exiles at Tel-abib who dwelt by the River Kebar. And for seven days I sat where they sat and remained there among them, overwhelmed.
Khebar vapui taeng, misongnawk ohhaih Tel Abib ahmuen ah ka phak, nihcae ohhaih ahmuen ah ka oh, nihcae salakah dawnraihaih hoi ni sarihto thung kang hnut.
16 At the end of seven days the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
Ni sarihto pacoengah, Angraeng ih lok kai khaeah angzoh,
17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from My mouth, give them a warning from Me.
kami capa, Israel imthung takoh khenzawnkung ah kang suek boeh; to pongah kang thuih ih lok hae tahngai ah loe, kai khae ih acoehaih lok hae nihcae khae thuiah.
18 If I say to the wicked man, ‘You will surely die,’ but you do not warn him or speak out to warn him from his wicked way to save his life, that wicked man will die in his iniquity, and I will hold you responsible for his blood.
Kai mah, Kahoih ai kami maeto khaeah, Nang loe na dueh tangtang tih boeh, tiah ka naa; Toe nang mah anih to acoehaih na paek ai, kahoih ai kami hinghaih pahlong hanah, kahoih ai kami khaeah acoe paekhaih lok na thui pae ai: to naah a sak ih zaehaih baktiah kahoih ai kami to dueh ving nahaeloe, anih ih athii tho to nang khaeah ka suk han.
19 But if you warn a wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness and his wicked way, he will die in his iniquity, but you will have saved yourself.
Toe kasae kami to acoehaih na paek to mah, kasae sakhaih hoi sethaih loklam to angqoi taak ai nahaeloe, a zaehaih pongah dueh tih; toe nang loe na hinghaih to pahlong boeh.
20 Now if a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I put a stumbling block before him, he will die. If you did not warn him, he will die in his sin, and the righteous acts he did will not be remembered. And I will hold you responsible for his blood.
To baktih toengah katoeng kami loe a toenghaih to toengsut moe, kahoih ai hmuen to sah nahaeloe, a hmaa ah amthaekhaih ka suek pae han, anih loe to ah dueh tih; anih khaeah acoehaih lok na thui pae ai pongah, anih loe a zaehaih baktiah dueh tih, a sak ih toenghaih to panoek pae mak ai boeh; anih ih athii tho to nang khaeah ka suk han.
21 But if you warn the righteous man not to sin, and he does not sin, he will indeed live because he heeded your warning, and you will have saved yourself.”
Toe zaehaih sak han ai ah katoeng kami to acoehaih na paek pongah, katoeng kami mah zaehaih sah ai nahaeloe, acoehaih lok tahngai pongah, anih loe hing tih; nang doeh na hinghaih to pahlong tih, tiah ang naa.
22 And there the hand of the LORD was upon me, and He said to me, “Get up, go out to the plain, and there I will speak with you.”
To ah Angraeng ih ban ka nuiah oh; anih mah kai khaeah, Angthawk loe, azawn ah caeh ah, to ah nang khaeah lok kang thuih han, tiah ang naa.
23 So I got up and went out to the plain, and behold, the glory of the LORD was present there, like the glory I had seen by the River Kebar, and I fell facedown.
To pongah kang thawk moe, azawn ah ka caeh; Khenah, Khebar vapui taengah ka hnuk ih lensawkhaih baktih toengah, to ah doeh Angraeng lensawkhaih to oh, to naah kai loe tabok hoiah ka kuep.
24 Then the Spirit entered me and set me on my feet. He spoke with me and said, “Go, shut yourself inside your house.
To pacoengah muithla kai thungah akun moe, ka khok nuih ang doetsak, kai khaeah, Caeh ah, thok to khah loe im thungah om ah, tiah ang naa.
25 And you, son of man, they will tie with ropes, and you will be bound so that you cannot go out among the people.
Toe nang, Aw kami capa, khenah, nihcae mah qui hoi na pathlet o ueloe, minawk salakah na caeh thaih han ai ah, qui hoiah na pathlet o tih.
26 I will make your tongue stick to the roof of your mouth, and you will be silent and unable to rebuke them, though they are a rebellious house.
Nihcae loe laisaep thaih imthung takoh ah oh o pongah, nihcae na zoeh thaih han ai ah, na palai to pakha ranuiah kang betsak caeng han.
27 But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you are to tell them, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says.’ Whoever listens, let him listen; and whoever refuses, let him refuse, for they are a rebellious house.
Toe lok kang thuih naah, na pakha to kang paongh pae han, to naah nihcae khaeah, nangcae loe laisaep thaih imthung takoh ah na oh o pongah, tahngai kami loe tahngai nasoe loe, tahngai ai kami loe tahngai hmah nasoe, tiah Angraeng Sithaw mah thuih.
