< Ezekiel 13 >

1 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
Awurade asɛm baa me nkyɛn se,
2 “Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who are now prophesying. Tell those who prophesy out of their own imagination: Hear the word of the LORD!
“Onipa ba, hyɛ nkɔm tia Israel adiyifo a wɔhyɛ nkɔm mprempren no. Ka kyerɛ wɔn a wɔbɔ wɔn tirim hyɛ nkɔm no se: ‘Muntie Awurade asɛm!
3 This is what the Lord GOD says: Woe to the foolish prophets who follow their own spirit, yet have seen nothing.
Sɛɛ na Otumfo Awurade se: Nnome nka adiyifo nkwaseafo a wodi wɔn ankasa honhom akyi na wonhuu hwee no.
4 Your prophets, O Israel, are like foxes among the ruins.
Ao Israelfo, mo adiyifo yi te sɛ nnwiriwii mu sakraman.
5 You did not go up to the gaps or restore the wall around the house of Israel so that it would stand in the battle on the Day of the LORD.
Monkɔɔ sɛ morekosiesie afasu no afaafa a abubu no ama Israelfi, sɛnea ebetumi agyina pintinn wɔ ɔko no ano wɔ Awurade da no.’
6 They see false visions and speak lying divinations. They claim, ‘Thus declares the LORD,’ when the LORD did not send them; yet they wait for the fulfillment of their message.
Wɔn adehu yɛ atoro, na wɔn adebisa yɛ nnaadaa. Wɔka se, ‘Awurade aka se,’ wɔ bere a Awurade nsomaa wɔn, nanso wɔhwɛ anim sɛ wɔn nkɔmhyɛ bɛba mu.
7 Haven’t you seen a false vision and spoken a lying divination when you proclaim, ‘Thus declares the LORD,’ even though I have not spoken?
Sɛ moka se, ‘Sɛɛ na Awurade se,’ wɔ bere a menkasae a, na mo anisoadehu nyɛ atoro? Na mo adebisa nso, ɛnyɛ nnaadaa ana?
8 Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: Because you have uttered vain words and seen false visions, I am against you, declares the Lord GOD.
“Ɛno nti, sɛnea Otumfo Awurade se ni: ‘Mo nsɛm a ɛyɛ atoro ne mo nnaadaa anisoadehu nti, me ne mo anya’, Otumfo Awurade asɛm ni.
9 My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and speak lying divinations. They will not belong to the council of My people or be recorded in the register of the house of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord GOD.
Me nsa betia adiyifo a wɔn anisoadehu yɛ atoro na wɔn abisa yɛ nnaadaa. Wɔremfra me nkurɔfo bagua mu, na wɔrenkyerɛw wɔn din wɔ Israelfi nhoma no mu na wɔn anan rensi Israel asase so. Na afei mubehu sɛ mene Otumfo Awurade.
10 Because they have led My people astray, saying, ‘Peace,’ when there is no peace, and whitewashing any flimsy wall that is built,
“Esiane sɛ wɔama me nkurɔfo ayera kwan, na wɔka se ‘Asomdwoe,’ wɔ bere a asomdwoe nni hɔ, na afei sɛ wɔto ɔfasu a enni ahoɔden bi a na wɔde akaadoo afa so,
11 tell those whitewashing the wall that it will fall. Rain will come in torrents, I will send hailstones plunging down, and a windstorm will burst forth.
ɛno nti ka kyerɛ wɔn a wɔka akaadoo no se, ɔfasu no rebebu. Osu a ɔhweam wɔ mu bɛtɔ, na mɛsoma mparuwbo, na mframa a ano yɛ den bɛbɔ.
12 Surely when the wall has fallen, you will not be asked, ‘Where is the whitewash with which you covered it?’
Na sɛ ɔfasu no bu gu fam a, nnipa remmisa wo se, ‘he na akaadoo a wɔde sraa ho no afa,’ ana?
13 Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: In My wrath I will release a windstorm, and in My anger torrents of rain and hail will fall with destructive fury.
“Ɛno nti, nea Otumfo Awurade ka ni: ‘Mʼabufuwhyew mu, mɛma ahum atu, na mʼabufuw mu no, mparuwbo ne osuhweam de adesɛe ahoɔden atɔ.
14 I will tear down the wall you whitewashed and level it to the ground, so that its foundation is exposed. The city will fall, and you will be destroyed within it. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
Medwiriw ɔfasu a mode akaadoo afa ho no na mabubu agu fam ama ne fapem ho ada hɔ. Sɛ ɔfasu no hwe ase a, wɔbɛsɛe mo wɔ mu, na mubehu sɛ mene Awurade.
15 And after I have vented My wrath against the wall and against those who whitewashed it, I will say to you: ‘The wall is gone, and so are those who whitewashed it—
Enti mede mʼabufuwhyew bɛkɔ ɔfasu no ne wɔn a wɔde akaadoo sraa ho no so. Mɛka akyerɛ mo se, “Ɔfasu no nni hɔ bio na saa ara na wɔn a wɔde akaadoo sraa ho no nso nni hɔ,
16 those prophets of Israel who prophesied to Jerusalem and saw a vision of peace for her when there was no peace, declares the Lord GOD.’
saa Israel adiyifo a wɔhyɛɛ nkɔm maa Yerusalem na wohuu asomdwoe anisoade wɔ bere a asomdwoe nni hɔ no,” Otumfo Awurade na ose.’
17 Now, O son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people who prophesy out of their own imagination. Prophesy against them
“Afei onipa ba, ma wʼani nkɔ wo nkurɔfo a wɔbɔ wɔn tirim hyɛ nkɔm no mmabea so. Hyɛ nkɔm tia wɔn
18 and tell them that this is what the Lord GOD says: Woe to the women who sew magic charms on their wrists and make veils for the heads of people of every height, in order to ensnare their souls. Will you ensnare the souls of My people but preserve your own?
19 You have profaned Me among My people for handfuls of barley and scraps of bread. By lying to My people who would listen, you have killed those who should not have died and spared those who should not have lived.
Moasopa me wɔ me nkurɔfo mu de agye atoko nsa ma kakraa bi ne brodo asinasin. Monam atoro a mudi kyerɛ me nkurɔfo a wotie atoro so akunkum wɔn a anka ɛnsɛ sɛ wowuwu, na moama wɔn a anka ɛnsɛ sɛ wɔtena nkwa mu no afa wɔn ho adi.
20 Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: See, I am against the magic charms with which you ensnare souls like birds, and I will tear them from your arms. So I will free the souls you have ensnared like birds.
“‘Ɛno nti, sɛɛ na Otumfo Awurade se: Mitia mo ntafowayi bansrɛ a mode sum nkurɔfo mfiri sɛ nnomaa no, na mɛtetew afi mo abasa so; megyaa nnipa a musum wɔn afiri sɛ nnomaa no.
21 I will also tear off your veils and deliver My people from your hands, so that they will no longer be prey in your hands. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
Mɛtetew mo nkataanim no mu afi mo anim, na magye me nkurɔfo nkwa afi mo nsam, na morennya wɔn so tumi bio. Afei mubehu sɛ me ne Awurade.
22 Because you have disheartened the righteous with your lies, even though I have caused them no grief, and because you have encouraged the wicked not to turn from their evil ways to save their lives,
Esiane sɛ mode atoro maa atreneefo aba mu buu wɔ bere a menhyɛɛ wɔn awerɛhow, na mohyɛɛ amumɔyɛfo nkuran se wɔnkɔ so wɔ wɔn akwammɔne so na moagye wɔn nkwa no
23 therefore you will no longer see false visions or practice divination. I will deliver My people from your hands. Then you will know that I am the LORD.”
nti, morenhu atoro anisoade bio na mubegyae ntafowayi nso. Megye me nkurɔfo afi mo nsam na afei mubehu sɛ me ne Awurade no.’”
