Exodus 3
1 Meanwhile, Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.
अब मोशा अझै पनि आफ्ना ससुरा मिद्यानका पूजाहारी यित्रोका भेडा-बाख्रा चराउँदै थिए । तिनले भेडा-बाख्रालाई उजाड-स्थानको परसम्म लगी परमेश्वरको पर्वत होरेबसम्म लगे ।
2 There the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a blazing fire from within a bush. Moses saw the bush ablaze with fire, but it was not consumed.
त्यहाँ परमप्रभुका दूत जलिरहेको पोथ्रामा तिनीकहाँ देखा परे । मोशाले हेर्दा त्यो पोथ्रा जलिरहेको थियो तर भस्म भएको थिएन ।
3 So Moses thought, “I must go over and see this marvelous sight. Why is the bush not burning up?”
मोशाले भने, “म एकातिर गएर यो गजबको दृश्य किन भस्म भएको रहेनछ भनी हेर्नेछु ।”
4 When the LORD saw that he had gone over to look, God called out to him from within the bush, “Moses, Moses!” “Here I am,” he answered.
जब तिनी हेर्नलाई एकातिर गएको परमप्रभुले देख्नुभयो तब उहाँले पोथ्राबाट तिनलाई भन्नुभयो, “मोशा, ए मोशा ।” तिनले भने, “म यहीँ छु ।”
5 “Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”
परमेश्वरले भन्नुभयो, “अझ नजिक नआइज । तेरो खुट्टाबाट तेरो जुत्ता फुकाल् किनकि तँ उभिएको भूमि मेरो लागि अलग गरिएको छ ।”
6 Then He said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” At this, Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.
उहाँले थप्नुभयो, “म तेरा पिता अब्राहाम, इसहाक र याकूबका परमेश्वर हुँ ।” त्यसपछि मोशाले आफ्नो अनुहार ढाके किनकि तिनी परमेश्वरलाई हेर्न डराएका थिए ।
7 The LORD said, “I have indeed seen the affliction of My people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their oppressors, and I am aware of their sufferings.
परमप्रभुले भन्नुभयो, “निश्चय नै मिश्रमा भएका मेरा मानिसहरूको दुःखकष्ट मैले देखेको छु । तिनीहरूका नाइकेहरूको कारणले तिनीहरूको रुवाइ मैले सुनेको छु किनकि मलाई तिनीहरूको दुःखकष्ट थाहा छ ।
8 I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land to a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey—the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites.
तिनीहरूलाई मिश्रीहरूको शक्तिबाट छुटकारा दिलाई असल, विशाल अनि दूध र मह बग्ने देशमा लैजान म ओर्लिआएको छु । त्यो कनानी, हित्ती, एमोरी, परिज्जी, हिव्वी र यबूसीहरूको देश हो ।
9 And now the cry of the Israelites has reached Me, and I have seen how severely the Egyptians are oppressing them.
अब इस्राएलका मानिसहरूको रुवाइ मकहाँ आइपुगेको छ । यसको अतिरिक्त, मिश्रीहरूद्वारा तिनीहरूमाथि गरिएको थिचोमिचोलाई पनि मैले देखेको छु ।
10 Therefore, go! I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring My people the Israelites out of Egypt.”
अब म तँलाई फारोकहाँ पठाउनेछु ताकि तैँले मेरा मानिस इस्राएलीहरूलाई मिश्रबाट निकालेर लैजान सक् ।”
11 But Moses asked God, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”
तर मोशाले परमेश्वरलाई भने, “फारोकहाँ गई मिश्रबाट इस्राएलीहरूलाई निकालेर ल्याउने म को हुँ र?”
12 “I will surely be with you,” God said, “and this will be the sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, all of you will worship God on this mountain.”
परमेश्वरले जवाफ दिनुभयो, “निश्चय नै म तँसित हुनेछु । मैले तँलाई पठाएको हुँ भन्नाका लागि चिन्हचाहिँ यो हुनेछ । तैँले ती मानिसहरूलाई मिश्रबाट बाहिर ल्याएपछि तैँले यही पर्वतमा मेरो आराधना गर्नेछस् ।”
13 Then Moses asked God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is His name?’ What should I tell them?”
मोशाले परमेश्वरलाई भने, “म इस्राएलीहरूकहाँ गई 'तिमीहरूका पिता-पुर्खाका परमेश्वरले मलाई तिमीहरूकहाँ पठाउनुभएको छ' भन्दा तिनीहरूले 'उहाँको नाउँ के हो' भनी सोधे भने मैले तिनीहरूलाई के जवाफ दिने?”
14 God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”
परमेश्वरले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो, “म हुँ जो म हुँ ।” उहाँले भन्नुभयो, “तैँले इस्राएलीहरूलाई यसो भन्नू, 'म हुँ भन्नेले मलाई तिमीहरूकहाँ पठाउनुभएको छ' ।”
15 God also told Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘The LORD, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ This is My name forever, and this is how I am to be remembered in every generation.
परमेश्वरले मोशालाई यसो पनि भन्नुभयो, “तैँले इस्राएलीहरूलाई यसो भन्नैपर्छ, 'तिमीहरूका पिता-पुर्खाका परमेश्वर अर्थात् अब्राहामका परमेश्वर, इसहाकका परमेश्वर र याकूबका परमेश्वरले मलाई तिमीहरूकहाँ पठाउनुभएको हो । मेरो नाउँ सदासर्वादको लागि यही हो र यही नाउँद्वारा पुस्तौँसम्म मेरो सम्झना गरिनेछ ।'
16 Go, assemble the elders of Israel and say to them, ‘The LORD, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—has appeared to me and said: I have surely attended to you and have seen what has been done to you in Egypt.
गएर इस्राएलका धर्म-गुरुहरूलाई भेला गर् । तिनीहरूलाई यसो भन्नू, 'तिमीहरूका पिता-पुर्खाका परमेश्वर अर्थात् अब्राहाम, इसहाक र याकूबका परमेश्वर मकहाँ देखा परी भन्नुभयो, “मैले वास्तवमै तिमीहरूलाई अवलोकन गरेको छु र तिमीहरूलाई मिश्रमा के गरिएको छ भनी देखेको छु ।
17 And I have promised to bring you up out of your affliction in Egypt, into the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites—a land flowing with milk and honey.’
तिमीहरूले मिश्रमा भोगेको थिचोमिचोबाट मुक्त गरी दूध र मह बग्ने देश अर्थात् कनानी, हित्ती, एमोरी, परिज्जी, हिव्वी र यबूसीहरूको देशमा लैजाने मैले प्रतिज्ञा गरेको छु” ।'
18 The elders of Israel will listen to what you say, and you must go with them to the king of Egypt and tell him, ‘The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. Now please let us take a three-day journey into the wilderness, so that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.’
तिनीहरूले तेरो कुरा सुन्नेछन् । तँ र इस्राएलका धर्म-गुरुहरू मिश्रका राजाकहाँ गई त्यसलाई यसो भन्नू, 'हिब्रूहरूका परमप्रभुले हामीलाई भेट्नुभएको छ । अब हामी तिन दिनको यात्रा गरी उजाड-स्थानमा जाऔँ ताकि हाम्रा परमप्रभु परमेश्वरलाई हामीले बलिदान चढाउन सकौँ ।'
19 But I know that the king of Egypt will not allow you to go unless a mighty hand compels him.
तर राजा बाध्य नपारिएसम्म त्यसले तिमीहरूलाई जान दिनेछैन भनी मलाई थाहा छ ।
20 So I will stretch out My hand and strike the Egyptians with all the wonders I will perform among them. And after that, he will release you.
म मेरो हात फैलाई मैले मिश्रीहरूका बिचमा गर्ने सबै आश्चर्यकर्मले तिनीहरूलाई आक्रमण गर्नेछु । त्यसपछि त्यसले तिमीहरूलाई जान दिनेछ ।
21 And I will grant this people such favor in the sight of the Egyptians that when you leave, you will not go away empty-handed.
म यस जातिमाथि मिश्रहरूलाई निगाह गर्न लगाउनेछु ताकि तिमीहरू जाँदा रित्तो हात जान नपरोस् ।
22 Every woman shall ask her neighbor and any woman staying in her house for silver and gold jewelry and clothing, and you will put them on your sons and daughters. So you will plunder the Egyptians.”
हरेक स्त्रीले आ-आफ्ना मिश्री छिमेकीहरू र तिनीहरूका घरहरूमा बस्ने कुनै पनि स्त्रीहरूबाट सुन र चाँदीका गरगहनाहरूसाथै लत्ता कपडाहरू माग्नेछ । तिमीहरूले ती आ-आफ्ना छोराछोरीहरूलाई लगाइदिनेछौ । यसरी तिमीहरूले मिश्रीहरूलाई लुट्नेछौ ।”
